I hired The Grounds Guys to put in a french drain, install flagstone and grade and resurface my gravel driveway. They did a terrific job - worked hard to make sure that the work was done properly and I was happy. We did have a couple of challenges, which I think is common on most landscape jobs, and I have to say that Dave and Mike were so responsive in making sure everything was finished to my satisfaction. The work that went into digging the french drain was phenomenal, the flagstone is beautiful and the driveway is graded properly and looks amazing. I was so impressed with the customer service from Dave M and the team - would definitely hire these guys again!

I was excited to work with the Grounds Guys because I saw their Google rating was great and when they met me to discuss my job, they were friendly and seemed to understand what I needed. My job was very simple; convert the front yard into a garden (remove vegetation, rototill, and cover with mulch); add soil and see to the side yard; and later perform the weed control spring, summer and fall. I sent the quote back but waited almost a month for them to return several calls and emails. Finally a truck showed up on a holiday Monday and sat out front of my house and did nothing. Then the following weekend a team came to convert my front yard to a garden. They were really friendly and worked hard. But upon later inspection, they didn't rototill the yard, they just cut the weeds down and covered it with mulch. So now I have weeds popping up all over the place - I will have to remove the mulch myself and dig out all the weeds - so what did I pay for? Originally I had asked for a 2" of soil in the front yard but changed that to mulch. I understood that this would affect the price but no one would give me a number, and a Ground Guys employee told me that the difference would be minimal. But, once this 'garden' work was complete, the foreman told me that the total price would be DOUBLE what I agreed to! Furthermore, the team did not complete the work on the side yard - no soil, no seeding. The icing on the cake came today when I discovered a note on my front door saying they had been to do weed control and fertilize my yard. However, this meant that they fertilized my weeds. So in the end they completed about 1/5th of the work and wanted to double the price. I am left scratching my head at the level of incompetence and lack of customer service here. To make things worse, their approach to customer service seems to be to redirect their failings onto the customer. This is a sign of a company that does not care about providing value and standing by the work they do, not to mention overall mismanagement. I am glad others have had a more positive interaction with them but I cannot recommend using this company and I have personally terminated my relationship with them.

I can't say enough great things about Lou, Olivia & Charlie! They completely overhauled my front lawn, as well as cleaning up 2 smaller areas by covering them with river rock and gravel. They were friendly, professional and courteously answered all of my questions. I am still amazed at how quickly they made it all happen! Thanks again to Lou and his crew. Ged and Denver fixed 3 of our sprinklers after the neighbours Link On people damaged them putting in their cable line underground yesterday. We just opened the sprinklers a couple weeks ago and they were working perfectly then... The Grounds guys came today and fixed the 3 heads super fast, within a 1/2 hour and checked everything twice to make sure all was good! Great professional and fast service! The entire fix was about $100 for the 3... so very happy now just going to give the bill to our neighbour lol! Thanks Guys! Much appreciated!! ????????????

The crew that comes does a phenomenal job. The experience and knowledge shows. I have seen the work this team does around the area which is what drew me to them in the first place. I am not actually certain what all I had done. I think I had lawn pest control as well -- but not positive. Be sure to take a picture of everything in your yard .. I inquired about having pics sent to me at least 3 times. I was promised that these pics would be sent but they were not !!

Called and spoke to someone at this company and made an appointment for the next day at 4:45 to have my lawn assessed for repair. Next day 4:45 came and went - no-one showed up or called. I left a message at 5:15 asking someone to call me. It is now 4 days later and still no contact - not impressed...

It has taken them over a month to be able to provide a proper quote which they only gave a quote on 2 out of 5/6 items I had requested, one of the quotes was wrong. The initial guy who showed up took poor notes and therefore they informed me they needed to send another guy to come over to requote (keep in mind, this is me following up with them numerous times via email and phone calls). My 2nd appointment I had scheduled they informed me they had to cancel and then my 3rd, the guy doesn't show up and it turns out they had another time scheduled in their calendar. I was really hoping this would have been a smooth process as I saw a ton of positive reviews before I called them but I am disappointed with their lack of organization and their lack of respect for other peoples time.
