Zach was very willing to advise us as to which stone as well as design finishes would be best to help us achieve the desired end result. Last spring my wife and I were looking to get our front steps redone. They were a mess of crumbling and heaving pavers. We had some vague ideas of what we wanted but we weren't entirely sure. We were referred to Zack and his company Strong Roots Landscaping through someone who we trusted to steer us right. Their advice was on the money!! Zach was able to help us decide on what should be installed in place of the existing mess, everything from pattern and colour to overall square footage. Amazingly Zach did not try to sell us more footage, instead he advised us that our job would benefit from "less is more", saving hundreds if not a thousand or more dollars. In the end Strong Roots Landscaping installed exactly what we wanted, at the price we agreed to and in the time frame agreed to. This is something I know is rare in the landscaping business. (We had contracted a paving company to remove and reinstall a new asphalt driveway, the work to commence when the walkway was completed. That company kept delaying until it was too late in the season to do the job) Zach and his team were friendly, professional and courteous while they completed our job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to our friend and family. And if we need anything in the future Zach will be getting the call. Thanks Zach!!!

We decided to put in a 20X40 pool this year (2021)and needed landscaping done as well. Zachary Barton came highly recommended by the pool installers and from the time Zach provided us a quote to finishing the job, he was always professional and went above and beyond. It was a tough year to get products and Zach always communicated with us what was happening and helped to manage expectations. During the construction, Zach offered helpful ideas for landscaping including how to redesign the garden as well as a retaining wall at the back of the cabana. He also made recommendations for products and colours for the pavers, retaining wall and pool coping as we could only pick online, due to covid. We were away for some of the construction and Zach provided daily updates, pictures and was always willing to take our call. I guess you are reading this review to get a sense of Zach and his work. I will confidently say you be in excellent hands with this hard working, knowledgeable landscaper.

Zach and his crew came in to a complete backyard overhaul which started with a 20x40 inground pool. It was one of (if not the) largest unilock job he has completed. With multiple stone wall planters, large stone steps, and a walkway, the 2000sf project was done flawlessly, and in a timely manner. His crew worked through heat, dust and sweat for weeks until the project was complete. He offers quality design insight and opinions that proved to be paramount throughout the project. I have contacted him recently again to start another project, and would be glad to leave my recommendation for strong roots landscaping.

I would recommend Strong Roots to any family or friends who may have some landscaping needs. We needed to make some changes to our back yard/pool area after the kids outgrew the trampoline pit. Then we had a pool equipment area that was such an eye sore for us. They were so incredible in coming up with a solution that totally fixed the problem and made the flow of our side yard 100% better. Last summer we were looking to have part of our lawn dug up and replaced with a nice comfortable patio put in over looking lake. We were referred to Zack and his company Strong Roots Landscaping through a friend that had highly recommended his work. Zack came out and met with us to help us decide as what to do once the lawn was removed. He guided us with the square footage and the colours of stone work and pattern to go with. Zack and his team did better that what we had even imagined. Strong Roots Landscaping finished it off by suggesting to fill around the trees with river rock.
