Placed an order for delivery. They kept saying it would arrive and it never did. Lots of excuses but 8 days later nothing .... ! I have a time sensitive project to complete and I have been waiting for this order! Had to seek out another company. Response from owner is incredibly inaccurate! Disappointed that instead of an apology they blame the customer and take no responsibility! The took my credit card and told me the order was placed.

Rock and Gravel Boutique is the best place for any small project. I went there with some blue bins to pick up gravel and screening. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have had nothing but great experiences here. The prices are unbeatable and the staff is super friendly and reliable. They go above and beyond for the customers. I would recommend them to anyone within Barrie and even Simcoe county that is looking for natural stone or landscaping materials from topsoil to large River Rock and all materials inbetween to beautify your outdoor curb appeal or backyard utopia. Bring your truck or trailer for them to help you load, a van or SUV if you are going to load your own materials or you can have everything you like delivered right to you. I am doing my own yardscaping but would trust that they could recommend some reliable contractors to help you with the work you have in mind. Make sure you make the trip to see the quality products they have in stock. I feel like my time and money was well spent here. They are located in the heart of Barrie for a reason. :)

Met Ron today for a load of triplemix and mulch. He's easy going, reasonable with prices and had me in and out of there in 15 min. A good guy, who's gonna see me whenever I need any kind of aggregate.

Lost whole day from my morning delivery appointment til dark night waiting for the aggregate. Called the office a few times and the excuse was a long weekend rush. Only the next morning found out the owner/driver had an injury late that night. Sorry for the guy...I would be upset less if they'd at least call me to cancel the delivery.

The triple mix seems to be better quality than previous mixes we have gotten elsewhere (better screened, better texture). They delivered it right to where we needed it. Thanks for the topsoil and triple mix!

I ordered some armour stone for a backyard project from Ferndale. It was my first time dealing with them and it was a great experience. I dealt specifically with Ron the owner. He is very friendly, professional, and punctual. The delivery of the armour stone went smoothly and was unloaded exactly where I wanted it. Was treated great and got great service at first. After you pay its a different story. Had a delivery set for between 8 am and 9 am. I am 5 min away and was told i would be the first delivery. Great. Had helpers show up early to wait. No load and no phone call. Called around 11 am and was told that i was not on delivery. They said driver was out and won't be back for an hour. Which i think is just a way to by time. How can they tell so fast with out even checking with the driver. I cancelled order. Will check to see if refund was done as not a trusted company. Not impressed with this place at all. Day wasted not just for me but the help i had too. I thought helping local or in your neighborhood was important ( even though you pay more) but not. Go elsewhere for better deals and more respect.

0/5. Poor service and poor attitude from the reception straight up to the owner. The driver was pleasant and accommodating once on site. Couldn't deliver on time and after questioning them about it we were yelled at and told they will no longer deliver to our address. Said 1.5-2 hours late shouldn't be a problem, not realizing the delivery window started at 8am-12pm. Job site is now rained out, material is all over the city sidewalk and the beds that were being built have now washed out. This owner's fix was to refuse any further service to our address because we brought our concern to his attention. Had things been delivered on time, none of this would be an issue. Ferndale Gardens was unwilling to accommodate or remedy the situation and instead ran from it. As an added bonus, the receptionist called back and spoke to another member of the household claiming she was threatened, not realizing the initial call was on speaker and no such thing happened. She also blamed traffic.and weather as an issue after refusing to acknowledge we were given a morning delivery time. We're still under stay at home orders and it is a clear morning. Spend the extra $20 and order from somewhere reputable. Barrie Garden Centre, Carrs, and Kells all have better service and appreciate their customers. I've never brought a problem forward to an owner to have them tell us to F*** off.

Great customer service, they were able to change my order and deliver it on time without any issues. Very honest as well, the driver still delivered an envelope with my change in it even though it was only 1.50. I would recommend these guys because they have quality products and great service.

For small quantity needs this is the place to go to in Barrie. They have a good selection and will load you up quickly. They will also deliver for a fee if your vehicle cant handle the load.. Expect a wait especially at the beginning of the season when everyone wants to get their projects going. The prices are reasonable but not as good as when I need large quantities. At that point I buy direct from the aggregate suppliers. They are well located near the on and off ramps to highway 400 at the Dunlop exit.
