Always depended on Robinson’s in a pinch due to friendly staff and proximity/convenience... not so much recently. Curbside definitely offers challenges, but ordered on a Tuesday morning with a promise of two day turn around and as of Friday at noon they cannot say when over the weekend or next Monday they will have the small order ready. When I asked why, the lady on the other end asked for name, said she would pull the order and hung up on me! And yet they are advertising on Rock95 for more business!

Amazing staff, every department has a specialist who guides you through your needs. Special thanks to Nathan in the fastenal department, Steven in paint shop, Christin in the plumbing and lots of people who I don't know their names but they are doing an amazing job down there. A wonderful, courteous and helpful staff, always a pleasure shopping there. Having just written a very poor review of the Allendale location, it seemed prudent to write a review on the Robinson location in stark contrast. In my negative review of Allendale, I made a point of praising the Robinson location, and suggesting the two folks in particular with which I had a poor experience could learn a thing or two. The folks at Robinson are always pleasant and eager to help. And I've said time and again, that their younger staff in particular are some of the most polite and pleasant among young workers. I can sincerely say I've never had a unpleasant experience at Robison, and I praise ownership, management and all staff for creating an excellent environment. Keep up the great work! Stacy S

Hardware stores the way they used to be. A little bit of everything. Can buy screws, nuts, or bolts individually instead of big packs like the big box stores. Been going to Robinson's since I was 4yrs old with my dad when it was located in downtown Barrie. I usually will not go anywhere else unless I have to (e.g. Lumber). One of the most helpful & pleasant staff I've seen. If you are the average person needing something from a hardware store, Robinson's is what you want.

Over priced and rude staff. The stuff in some cases has been sitting on the shelves for years. The staff will totally ignore you. They cater mostly to the upper middle class old that surround the area. If you're looking for bird seed, or a nail. Hey. You're in luck. If you're looking for actual hardware or someone to treat you with respect. Forget it. Go to Home Depot, Simcoe Building or Lowes. Hell, even go to Home Hardware on Bayfield St.

Robinson's Home Hardware is a little gem in the east end of Barrie. It's small when compared to the bog box stores, but they have most things in stock and they even have some specialty items you won't find everywhere, like marine hardware for example. If you live in the vicinity of Grove and Penetanguishene road in the East end of Barrie, you'd be crazy to travel all the way to the south end for your hardware before trying Robinson's first.

This Home Hardware has the absolute best boating section ever! I couldn't believe the selection of different accessories and paints. This home hardware has been around forever years ago they were downtown barrie until they relocated to steel and blake very friendly and helpful staff try their coffee pods many varieties of gourmet coffee by a local company and you can buy singles for fifty nine cents each so you can try different ones large selection of everything you need for diy home repairs and maintenance I highly recommend them

When I went to use it it was empty. Seems it had a slow leak. I returned it and even though I had purchased it months before, they exchanged it with no issues whatsoever.
