We reached out to several companies to grind a few stumps on our property and Northshore Tree was the easiest to work with. Several companies asked for photos ahead of the visit which is reasonable, agreed to the job, and then visited only to determine that they could not do the job due to physical constraints of the house. Jessica was a pleasure to work with and made scheduling very easy. They were able to answer all our questions with patience, understanding, and sufficient detail (we know nothing about removing stumps). The initial estimate was reasonable and the final invoice was exactly what was quoted to us. Johnny and his team did a very good job with removing the stumps and filling in the hole back afterwards. Northshore exceeded expectations and is by far, a company that provides exceptional customer service! These days it isn’t very often that a company pleasantly surprises their customers but Johnny, Jessica and the team certainly did! ! From start to finish, they were prompt, professional and knowledgeable.... and have lifetime customers in us! Johnny, his crew and equipment arrived when scheduled, worked very professionally, respectfully and above all safely. Our job was tricky. It included many very mature trees, affected by pests and which were very close to our cottage and bunkie. My nervousness around taking these trees down quickly left when we watched the team working diligently, and patiently using their knowledge and skills to take the trees down safely. Not only did they do this but the team cut the logs into short pieces and stacked them neatly. They removed all debris and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. Outstanding! I am extremely happy with this company. I’ve lived in the East end for close to 50 years. The trees are big and need constant maintenance. I don’t like chain saws and the work is getting harder as I get older. I had Johnny and his crew cut and remove some Manitoba Maples and cut and prune some cedars and lilacs. Excellent work – he is very knowledgeable and was able to provide options/suggestions for us. Had a bunch of stumps that needed to be taken out as well. Johnny was quick to come and give us an estimate and came in cheaper than others. He did a superior job. When the Dream Team, led by owner Johnny, arrived to cut down the front yard tree, what I witnessed was beyond anything I had imagined. I watched them quietly prepare and lay out all their equipment, and the next thing I knew, Johnny had the line fastened in the center point of our tree. Then before I had time to blink, Carl, Drew, and Dave were in place on the ground, and Johnny was up the tree. The precision of the entire operation - from the cutting of the first branch to the team clearing every branch (and feeding them into the wood chipper) to the 42 inch trunk being rolled into our garage (my son is having bats made from this very special 30-year-old tree) - was truly fascinating to witness. Without knowing it, North Tree made a lasting memory for us. When the guys were ready to leave, I noticed a little leaf caught up in the gutter guard. I jokingly mentioned it, and before I could say I was kidding, Carl rushed to the rescue and removed it. In a heartbeat, I would recommend and call upon their services again. Family-run businesses are the only way to go for our household needs. I call for a quote and they went to my house the same day to determine the work required, The gentleman is a certified arborist with good knowledge of the care and maintenance of the trees. I needed a lift and general pruning service, which was quoted at a fair price for the amount of work. They came to perform the job on time and with all the necessary equipment and tools. There was no incidents, accidents, or near misses. Since every cut was meticulously planned before. After they finished the service. They asked me for a review, to see if I was satisfied with the job. They cleaned up all the branches and leaves, leaving no mess behind. I sent out an SOS because I thought my blue spruce had some kind of fungus and was slowly dying. Johnny from Northshore Tree Experts was the only one to answer and dropped by to have a look and told me the real issue was the very large silver maple that sits several feet away and was blocking the sun from reaching the blue spruce on the one side. So after we decided that the maple would need pruning I told him that the honey locust at the front of the house needed pruning as well. He sent me a quote later that night and was on the job 2 weeks later. Arriving at the house with his crew he patiently showed my wife and I what exactly he was going to cut, specifically on the maple, because it held sentimental value for her. A couple of hours later the job was done, all cleaned up and the trees looked great! Thanks to Johnny, his crew, and his wife Jessica!

I would like to start this review by saying I would highly recommend them. Ours was a big job - the trees were very tall and located close to structures in our yard. Johnny’s team worked with great care and precision making sure that nothing was damaged during the process of removing these trees. This team worked so well together and they worked steadily throughout the day to complete the job. The staff were professional and courteous. It was a pleasure to interact with them. They did a great job on cleaning up the debris from the trees. I would definitely hire them again if I needed more trees removed!
