From pencil, to paper, to perfection...this was how the talented team of Gardens of Prestige executed the backyard of our dreams. Tim Meijs, the president of this company, really listened to our ideas and shaped them into a plan that would make the backyard an extension of our living space. From start to finish, there was constant communication and feedback and we discussed ideas that would work with our family dynamics. We also can’t say enough of his work crew, whom we got to know very well over the course of the project. Jen and Emma are very skilled at their craft, and these ladies rock!! They showed up for work everyday with smiles on their faces and always made time to answer a myriad of our questions. Brian, Brad, Derek and others also contributed their expertise and finesse to the stonework that was done. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants quality work and wants it done right!

I'm very pleased with the work done on my landscaping project for my new home. The crew was professional, courteous, arrived on time & cleaned up at the end of each work day. They were on the job for 3 weeks - creating an entirely new front, side & back yard - complete with natural stone walkways & steps, a riverbed, a patio & a deck, as well as planting 2 large trees. Tim Meijis listened patiently to my "want list" then created the design as if he was working from my recorded voice. The plan was computer generated & exactly as I requested. Together we "tweaked" the plan to be even better than my mind's eye originally envisioned it. A contract with detailed prices & timelines was generated & signed & implemented in a very timely fashion. It is now 1 year later, & my yard is a stunning picture frame for my home. ((FYI - An issue with natural stone steps appeared over the 1st winter was resolved & replaced with no additional expense to me .... & done with 1 call.)) Thank you to the entire cast & crew - for your professionalism, your work ethic, your teamwork, your good humour - & most of all for helping me to create a "home" from a house. I will always recommend Gardens of Prestige to anyone asking!

We had a new jumbo flagstone walkway and porch installed on our property along with a new cedar hedge and other garden work. Tim is very experienced and professional and made a number of excellent recommendations for the design. We were very impressed the quality of the jumbo flagstone that was used on the project. The work done by the crew was excellent and they were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They worked hard every day and were very detail oriented and careful when doing the work. We have had two projects completed by Tim Meijs and Gardens of Prestige. First was interlocking Permacon concrete slabs sidewalks and front patio. The second was hard servicing of the driveway also with Permacon interlock. We are completely satisfied with the work on both projects and have received several compliments on the work. Devon and his crew did both projects and were always friendly, courteous and willing to answer questions and to respond to any concerns and to offer suggestions based on their experience. They were meticulous in the preparation, compacting, laying and cutting of the stones. Site cleanup occurred at the end of every day and Devon went out of his way to ensure that we were not inconvenienced by the work at any time. Thank you Tim and particularly Devon and crew.

We experienced a complete lack of communication with the owner of Gardens of Prestige. I was also treated with a lack of respect. When I asked a question, the owner raised his voice and was either sarcastic or belittling. He was misleading with his answers to questions. He took a large deposit, did little work and kept an exorbitant amount of the refund when we realized it was impossible to work with him. Hopefully, this review will help others.

Tim and his crew did a very large project for us including 2 stone patios with multiple steps, a firepit and landscaping over an acre of property on the lake. It his turned out to be spectacular - we have had many comments from neighbors passing by. Tim and his crew were a delight to work with - very professional, understanding and accomadating. Gardens of Prestige was highly recommended to us by friends when we asked who had landscaped their yard...It is the type of setting we wanted for our yard and had been so beautifully designed by Tim Meijs. He was so easy to deal with and came up with spot-on plans for us. Lenny, the crew boss was amazing to watch as he got the job done promptly and efficiently with his all-girl team, lead by Jasmine. Everyday they arrived on time, worked diligently and left a tidy, organized work site. They are hard workers and very pleasant to deal with and we were impressed by their workmanship. We had a major overhaul on both front and backyards, including a new deck, stone patio, privacy fencing, new sod, landscaping rocks and a large tree. We couldn't be more delighted with the outcome. It is like we own a new house! We have met more neighbours walking by, who stop and admire the new landscaping. TIm Meiji's Gardens of Prestige gets a 5 Star rating from us and we highly recommend this company! The Reeds, Barrie.

Staff should not be driving the company's flatbed truck 120km/hr in an 80 zone. That's unnecessary and reckless.

Make sure you know all charges and hourly rates upfront. Specifically for any design services. Make sure you get all correspondence in writing. If you have any changes to make to your design make sure you submit them in writing and agreed back to you in writing. Recommend that you add to your contract a drop dead dead for when project must start by If the work does not start by that date your deposit will be refunded 100%. These were my lessons learned.

This company did our back yard 5 years ago and it still looks amazing. The guy we dealt with was Tim super good guy. We never knew it was such a good job until we were noticing a few of our neighbours landscaping. We had two different contractors. Let’s just say ours is still looking good. Fairly ok work, maybe worth 3.5 stars but a bit of a shady feel to how they bill for materials and if you dare question the work, the owner just blames anything and everything else without even coming our to verify. Having worked in the industry, I likely caught more than some others who would rate them higher. I had just broken my leg before they started and was pretty loopy or I would have been on them a lot more. Wrong supports and no stone put in under deck they were to level. Didn't pack the earth at all and it all washed away around their work. No drainage put in behind the wall, in fact they covered over my driveway swale on their way out which I didn't catch before the snow came. I sure saw it in the spring when my window wells, and by extension basement, got all the water instead. Lesson learned. Not much you can do when an owner won't take responsibility - I've seen others have the same issue. In response to the owners response - I can't say I'm surprised with it.... None of his suggestions were ever made. He's remembering incorrectly or just outright lying. With regards to the water in our basement, they back bladed the drive all the way out, covering our drainage. Tim, if you have something to say, call me. Don't lie
