I ordered a cover for our large patio umbrella earlier this year. The order was to arrive early September and it did. Unfortunately I was unable to pick it up in a timely manner and had several phone conversations with Mary during which she was extremely patient and friendly. Today I finally got around to picking up the cover! I met Eddie and Mary and they were both terrific! Mary is a very charming up seller LOL. I will definitely be back when I’m in the market for indoor, outdoor items, gifts etc. Great experience!! Great store!!

I had a great experience shopping for my backyard furniture at Dot furniture. Mary the store manager has always been excellent deal with. Mary was able to find me excellenct floor models and stuff on sale to help with my pocket book. The delivery was ontime and they assembled everything in a timely fashion. Highly recommend shopping at Dot Furniture .

Bought a patio set and couldn't put it together right. After dealing with Mary, she put me on touch with Clarence who came out to my home and fixed the problem. Needless to say I was very happy with the service from Mary and Clarence. Thank you both very much for your amazing customer service. My husband and I went into today to DOT Furniture in Barrie. We had been in before and spoke to Mary about Patio Umbrellas. Today, we went back with the intention of finally buying one. Mary and Val helped us choose the right umbrella for our new patio and were exceedingly helpful in demonstrating how the various umbrellas work and how to store it over the winter. We were impressed the first time we went into DOT with Mary's expertise and friendliness and this was reconfirmed today when we dealt again with Mary and her associate Val. Happy to shop local and happy to shop Canadian on Canada Day weekend!!

I was fortunate to take advantage of an incredible sale to upgrade my patio furniture. Mary was instrumental in helping me figure out a way to make it fit into my space, creatively using an ottoman instead of a side chair. And after the fact, when I wished aloud that I had also ordered the swivel chair but would wait for another great sale, Mary made that happen too.

My Wife and I went into the Barrie store today looking to outfit our new deck that we completed last fall. Mary was incredibly helpful, she answered all our questions and gave us time to come to our own decisions about what best suited our needs. We took advantage of the current sales they have and purchased a new table, 8 chairs, sofa, coffee table and a massive 12' round offset umbrella... I can't wait to open the pool!

Tonight I went in looking for a new umbrella as ours was broken in the wind storm. From the moment I walked into this store to the time I left the service was fantastic. Mary the manager went out of her way to try and find another umbrella like I had but that wasn't possible. She helped me figure out a new one and what I needed so it wouldn't wabble in my table. She took her time with indecisive me on colour and size. I left the store with my fantastic new lime green umbrella and even my husband agrees it looks great

My wife and I shopped around looking for patio furniture. Last year we bought a set at Lowes and noticed whenever it rained there was rust on our deck from the furniture. I took it all back to them and went into Dot Furniture in Barrie. Met Mary and she explained that their furniture was cast aluminum and wouldn't rust. We bought a table, 6 chairs, 2 lounges and a coffee table. We have been very pleased with our furniture and the sales experience, Some of our friends told us the chairs are the most comfortable patio chairs they have sat in. Mary did a great job helping us decide what to buy and we were very pleased with her professionalism.

My fiancé and I had the idea to look for an indoor living room chair for my Grandma after seeing how much difficulty she was having getting out of her current chairs. We were looking for a very specific sort of chair, and we knew that we didn't have a large budget. After googling "Barrie furniture store," I came upon your website for the first time, and we thought that we would make it our first stop before going to Leon's and The Brick. We had such a wonderful experience at D.O.T. because of Delaney's help. She was very friendly and welcoming, and asked thoughtful questions to help us find the best chair options for Grandma while we were on our scouting mission. Delaney volunteered to lift many chairs down for us so that we could try them out, and she looked up colours and quantities for us on the computer. We were so impressed with D.O.T. and the service that we got there that we didn't even bother going to the other stores. We returned with Grandma the next day, and Delaney was again so welcoming and helpful. She treated Grandma like a V.I.P., and Grandma was so delighted to find her perfect chair. Delaney set it all up for delivery, and carefully check all of the delivery information with me. When we began looking for a chair for Grandma, my fiancé and I (who have no real experience buying furniture as we live abroad) felt daunted by the task. I feel so happy to have stumbled upon your website, and to have had such incredible service in store. Delaney made our jobs really easy, and it was wonderful to see how excited Grandma was when she found the right chair. The delivery process was totally straightforward, and Grandma's chair arrived looking flawless! Thank you, D.O.T. Barrie!

My husband and I drove almost an hour to this store after work one night and when we got there at 6:30pm they were closed... The "website" said they were open until 9:00pm. I called the store from the parking lot and a lady answered and I mentioned that I thought they'd be open... She told me they close at 6pm, but she came right to the back door and let us in!!! I realized after, I read the "google" hours, not their website for the times they are open... Mary, the store Manager was the one that assisted us - she was absolutely amazing! She is super friendly, personable, thorough and knowledgeable about their products. We purchased a new set right there and then! She helped us arrange pillows and colours to best suit the set and showed us the features of umbrellas and how to work them. We felt horrible that we took up Mary's time that evening, considering they were closed, but she kept working hard with us to help. If you look up "Customer Service" in the dictionary - Mary's name will be right there! Outstanding! Thanks Mary! You rock!

Mary could not have been more pleasant and helpful to deal with ... and I went back over & over again with many questions for her! She helped me with planning what furniture would fit on my deck without overcrowding and I was very pleased with the result once it arrived. The day the furniture arrived, she even came out to my house after the store closed (which must have been well over an hour of driving out of her way!). I was having a problem putting two pieces of a swivel chair together and she managed to get it assembled. Although she had succeeded, she was not happy with how difficult it had been so she insisted on ordering a replacement chair (which she requested also be delivered assembled!). If you ever want to buy any furniture, go to DOT in Barrie and ask for Mary. You won't be disappointed!!

Dropped in to see what was available, never shopped at DOT before, wanted to shop around before deciding on a purchase. Returned a few days later and Valerie was very knowledgeable of the product and sold us on the outdoor lounge set. Mary explained there was a sale promotion and the money we saved we were able to purchase other accessories to complement our lounge set. Being from out of town, Thornbury area, delivery was on time as scheduled and Clarence and his team were very professional and friendly. Thanks for the great service, definitely recommend this store to shop in future.

I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at DOT in Barrie and only made the purchase because of the Black Friday sale (if I had the time, I would have walked out and drove to Newmarket). Mary may have strong product knowledge but she is seriously lacking the basic skills needed to work in the service industry. She was condescending, rude, short and flippant (self-admittedly). She completely disregarded a posted advertised sale price & dismissively said it was wrong (when in fact it was right and SHE was wrong!). She was unapologetic when she called to inform me of her error and was more concerned with protecting the company from a $20 fraud then righting her wrong. The rest of the staff seem nice, but at the mercy of Mary's overbearing and controlling nature. Too bad.

I've shopped here for years and outfitted my entire deck with DOT Patio furniture and accessories. Recently, I went in to purchase a new table as I needed one that was larger than my current DOT Patio table. Mary, Kathy and "The Meateater" we're fantastic. Not only did I get the table I wanted but they organized it so that I could have it before my wife arrived home from a trip so I could surprise her. Great service and friendly, accommodating people. Highly recommend. Update. I now have my new table (with new chair pads and pillows) so I thought I’d share some pics.

Mary is incredibly helpful & gave great advice on selecting dining chairs. DOT Patio furniture designs are gorgeous and unique. Their sale prices can't be beat! Spend the money on something at DOT vs a look alike of cheaper quality somewhere else. We are really happy with our previous purchases but make sure frames are aluminum.
