They certainly have a ton of plants. However I found it difficult to find a specific plant because its so big. Almost need a map. That's ok though. Staff were amazing! I did find there was a lot if people. So it was extremely busy. This was before 4 pm on a Wednesday. All that said it was smooth sailing through the cash.

Absolutely terrible... tried calling several times, nobody picks up phones its 1:21pm Gone through every menu then it just pushes you to extension 324 which doesn't even exist in their phone directory and you can't go back. You must hang up and redial at this point. Go look for your stuff at another garden center who cares too respond to customers.

I agree with a lot of the reviews here. I’ve come in looking specifically for certain herb seeds, burlap, and other things and have always had a hard time getting help. When I do help help, it’s a blunt ‘no’ as if they’re to busy or don’t care enough. The products however are great. The selection is great. Prices are a bit steep.

Customer Service is clearly not a priority for Bradford Greenhouses. Had a receipt for a purchase I made for some pots, paid over $400 for 4 pots that after 1 summer (May to September) of use fell apart. Manager offered me 50% off the purchase of new pots which is basically the same deal they offer everyone, once a year. This offer had no cost to them, in fact offering me this, gives them my business yet again. The bottom line is, 1. they don't back up their products, 2. they aren't interested in resolving an issue to your satisfaction, 3. you are far better off purchasing a product from Walmart or Costco where when defected they will replace the defected products even without a receipt. Family owned buisness who is concerned about their own profit and not about the satisfaction of their clients. This was a buisness I and neighbours had supported for many years, I am sharing my story in hopes that other's don't have to experience the same dissatisfaction I had to. Overpriced I could of dealt with, but no acceptance of responsibility for selling a defected product I can't!

Karina in the flower department arranged the flowers for my wedding in July and I could not have been happier with the result. From the bouquets, to the centerpieces, to the corsages and boutonnieres, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous! The colours were so vibrant and tied in with the decor beautifully. Karina is highly knowledgeable and was a pleasure to deal with. She was always professional and offered her advice without being over-bearing. She listened carefully to all the questions and concerns that my mother and I had and she problem-solved and responded promptly and accordingly. She was always in high spirits and you could tell that she took great pride in her work and wanted everything to be perfect for my wedding. Customer service is hit or miss (usually a miss for me, unfortunately), and can be incredibly rude and ignorant. I was taking pictures of their Christmas tree arrangements a few years ago (to show my mother who lives in the States) and had one of the employees run up to me, try to grab my phone, and accuse me of "being a competitor and stealing their tree ideas." I'll never forget that craziness. Employees often act like I'm trying to steal things, even though I have a points card there (a card that's apparently never good for anything) and spend thousands of dollars a year there. Today I bought a bunch of bulbs and there was a pen to write the amount on the bags, and the cashier still dumped them all out to recount them, dropping some of the bulbs on the floor and breaking them. Things like that just really upset me. I hate the way some of my trees and flowers have been roughly handled and broken. That said, there's always a wider variety of plants here than anywhere else nearby, so I still come here for the product selection. There's an interesting mix of decorative seasonal items, outdoor furniture and a weird clothing area too.

There was a cost, of course, but they clearly went over and above the money the charity was able to afford for centrepieces. Purchased a gift card for my wife back at Christmas. Buying process was good but cannot spend it now unless you have the whole day to stand in line, which we don’t, because we still have to work through all this. I understand that they can’t control how Covid-19 has affected things but... They say you can shop online but the process doesn’t work with a gift card and they tell you to phone the order in. Then the people in the phone tell you you have to order online. This goes back and forth. When she did eventually place the order online, they got almost nothing right in the order. Dealing with people afterward makes it obvious that they have enough customers that they don’t really care if you have a problem with your order. That’s just YOUR problem. No offer to help make things right when you email them, just excuses and they try to shift the blame back to you. I agree I’ll take the blame. I should have never purchased a gift card there. Lesson learned. I will never buy one from there again. I will go to a small local greenhouses from now on. TL.DR: gift cards a waste of your time.

A clear 5 stars for today's visit. I was offered help a few times ; the casual way and without any sales pressure. Staff was very friendly, tried to understand what I wanted and went to great length in their efforts without expecting a sale at the end. That's the way I love it. This store has everything from trees to bushes, to flower and herbs, everything for the patio, pond stuff and even cloths. Every corner of the HUGE store was lovingly decorated. It's worth coming here, just for a stroll on a rainy day, but when the park is too wet. All that is missing is a bistro and a Cafe.

I was told that chicken poop fertilizer minimizes the potential steal of bulbs by squirrels ... now to see if this is truly correct. OR was I taken for a ride by Bradford Greenhouse. LOL.

I love Bradford Greenhouses - however on this visit they were out of stock of lawn bags!! How does a store that features garden supplies run out of garden lawn bags!!! Also, when we pulled around for our 4 bags of mulch our helper left us for other customers where my daughter had to load them into the SUV and they were heavy and dirty!!! The experience with Bradford Greenhouses Garden was amazing. We were out of the country and we wanted a fast delivery for the same day. The website worked pretty well, I just created an account and placed my order. When I called to check on the status of my order, I was told the recipient wasn’t home so they left a tag on the door and brought back the flowers (keep in mind this was winter, very thoughtful of them). Next day, they managed to deliver the bouquet, after speaking to the recipient on the phone. Communication was always easy and our main goal was achieved: to make a very special friend happy!

Bradford Greenhouse did the flowers for my wedding. I went to 3 or 4 other florists before BGGG, and am so glad I kept looking! Julie helped me come up with flowers and ideas that other florists couldn't even come close to! And she was able to keep it within my budget! She was fantastic and I am so glad that we got our bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres from BGGG. To keep my costs down we ordered all of the centrepiece flowers from BGGG and my bridesmaids and I made them ourselves, but Julie helped me come up with the plan and how many of each flower I needed to make it work with my vases! I couldn't be more happy with the flowers at my wedding!!

Bradford Greenhouses is my happy place. The plants are all beautiful, thriving and there is always a large selection. Staff here are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Home decor & artificial flowers/plants: This section is high quality, and priced according. (A little expensive, but the quality is top tier.) You can find anything from balcony decor, patio sets, outdoor signs, tableware, to rugs, garland, or greenery privacy screens. I'd say you could probably do a full home remodeling from this section. Live plants: If you're looking for Tropical Houseplants, cactus, succulents, or even small indoor trees, they have an excellent variety. They sell trees and shrubs for landscaping, as well as seasonal plants including fruits, vegetables, perennials, annuals, baskets, or planters. Seeds/planting: There is a LARGE variety of seeds, as well as soil options and seedling starters. Cannabis Growing: There is a good sized section dedicated to home growing (no plants or seeds available as far as I know, however OCS.ca sells seeds). This section includes tents and even full grow set up options.

My friend bought a patio sectional and a week later the price dropped in 540 dollars and they will no take return or give credit for the price change. I will never shop there again cause of this policy. I find this very gross in a Global Pandemic and not good customer service.

Spent an hour shopping for plants to be told with attitude that my money would not be accepted. They had no sign on the door to say they are only accepting credit or debit. I asked if they would take it anyways. Only to be patronized . I did my best to stay calm because these are trying times. the girl said I needed exact change for the 77 dollar bill and I offered 75 ( I had no silver on me) . She looked at me like I had 2 heads. I left with no flowers. It was 4:45 and I didn't have time to go get a card. The experience ruined my day and the plans I had to plant a garden with the kids. I dont recomend giving these people your buisness. They obviously couldnt care less if you did. Edit: owners have responded by trying to get the name of the employee. They want to reprimand someone who only adhered to the policy. They also lied in their response saying it was posted that they are no longer accepting legal canadian cash. Let me be clear. The only reason I went so far as reviewing them so poorly was the lack of signage AT THE FRONT DOOR indicating at their cultish behavior. I dont respect this way of doing business. Say sorry and accept responsibility. Canadian cash is still legal tender. This isnt a u.n colony just yet frankie

Awsome selection. Lots to see and buy..the only thing holding us back was that what I wanted was out of stock due to season. They helped us find items multiple times due to the shear size of the place. Wide open spaces. Even had face painting for the kids and a sausage sizzle and live music when we went by. WOW so been shopping here for years....spend thousands of $$$$. Bought hanging baskets a month ago and they are doing awful. Called and spoke to a "customer service manager" and she was arguing with me that it was my fault that the flowers were doing awful and would not replace them. I work in customer service, and this is most definately NOT how you treat customers. So now, they lost a client. Do you honestly think I would ever go back and spend my money there. To be fair they had some interesting stuff. Nothing I haven't seen before but the pricing was extremely high. Wasn't impressed with the quality of their plants or flowers. Ample staff but the store was empty and they still had to be coaxed into helping me. Some were just out right rude. Beautiful buildings but overall disappointing experience.

Glow is overpriced at 22 a ticket its really small and not alot to do. We went through its 6 countries, you get a stamp if you ask for a passport at the end you get a candy cane and mini granola. Santa is there and maybe 6 vendors mostly food some makeup not much as they dont want people to not buy their stuff in the main shop. There is a castle for kids and some swings and icicle patch to walk through, some colored plastic dots that change colour when you step. The lights are impressive but tickets at that price it's really not worth that. Live music was playing and there are 2 bars so you can spend more and forget you spent that to see some xmas lights. Then you can go spend more at their store it has a large variety of xmas stuff homewares ,clothing and plants

I usually go to Bradford Greenhouse for all of my gardening needs and plants- however on my last trip I was with my fiancé and my brother. We are all pretty young (under 25) and were being followed around/ profiled for stealing. We had to actually approach an employee and confront the situation however I believe if we had not done that we would have been accused of stealing & possibly had the police/management involved. My fiancé and I are very offended and believe that we were being followed and profiled due to how young we look. Not impressed and won’t be back.

We attended the Annual Soirée on the second night of the event. It was a beautiful night with informative workshops like tree decorating, urn insert making and more. The holiday spirit was there in full with a live silver band - which was amazing, the whole store was decorated and staff were very friendly. The line ups at the cash were longer than we would have liked but they were going quickly considering.

There is a painting I love and hope some day it will still be there and I can buy it. It is massive and would need few hours to go around it fully. They are ha ing a Christmas light show there this year and I hope to go and see it.!

The fact that there are no washrooms available simply inexcusable especially considering that many people come to the store from far away, there are long lineups, the store is huge so it takes time to find what you are looking for, etc. Not providing such a basic service shows complete disrespect towards the customers who support the business. Covid-19 is not an excuse, Home Depot, Walmart, Real Canadian Superstore, etc. face the same challenges but still manage to have washrooms available for their customers.

Wow. Shocked at the customer service. I've shopped exclusively at Bradford Greenhouses over the last 4 years and have enjoyed the experience... Until today. We hired a landscaper less than a year ago and all plants were purchased through Bradford GH. We were told by the landscaper that the plants were guaranteed for a year. Three plants did not make it through the harsh winter we had so I contacted Bradford directly as the landscaper is no longer in business. I simply wanted to exchange the plants but was transferred to the "owner" who advised me my plants were not covered by the guarantee because we went through a landscaper who gets a discount; their guarantee is reserved for their clients who buy direct. I was surprised to hear that I wasn't considered a client and when I shared that with the owner, I was told that it had nothing to do with them and to have a nice day before I was hung up on. I guess Bradford GH makes enough money from all their other "direct" customers to worry about my business so no problem; I think I will have a nice day by taking my business elsewhere.

Absolutely disgusted. We had purchased a patio set and umbrella totaling $3,141.38. Within one week, the umbrella broke. We were aware that the store does not do refunds, as such figured store credit would suffice. They refused to provide us store credit in the full amount. They demanded WE PAY for the fix at a cost of $100. As such, we were provided store credit in the amount of the umbrella LESS the $100. I have never in my life had an experience where the customer was responsible for paying for the fix of a defected product. I don't care what happened. We owned it and had it operating for less than a week. We even took the situation to the owner to no satisfying resolution but a reiteration that we'd be responsible for the cost to fix. That to me, is the ideal example of corruption.

I had an extremely disappointing experience. Visited the online store and there is no description of any of the items you are purchasing (is it self pollinating, growing instructions, anything about the variety, nope nothing at all!). Their online form would not submit the question I had so I sent it through instagram, asking whether raspberries included multiple canes, the answer, our raspberries are sold in bushes. Pick up my order and they are not bushes, but canes. Also ordered a few other items, tayberry plant, which was basically two small branches or canes, one snapped almost in half when I recieved it. Soil bone dry in my tomato plant, it did not look happy. Browning leaves on my squash plant. Prior to picking up my order I sent an additional inquiry about how much soil/compost I should be buying for all the plants, no response. I guess once they have your money they don't care, a simple we don't have that information or a link to some growing site would have been appreciated. Finally 5 days after placing my order, the day before I pick it up, they inform me they sold out of 2 of the plants I had ordered. Why were they listed online then? Why didn't you let me know sooner? I'm preparing a new garden bed and had made space for them, now that will just be dirt. Overall if you are a beginner gardener, and need any sort of information, or if you want quality plants or good customer service, go somewhere else. I had been hearing good things abour Bradford Greenhouses since I moved to Barrie 10 years ago. This experience was a full let down and I regret spending what I did here. Go somewhere else if you can. 2 stars because the folks at curbside pick up were very nice and well organized.

I am so disappointed with their online/pickup ordering. Pickup was easy and friendly but my order was completely wrong. Asked for 3 large jumbo planters at $50 each with BRIGHT PINK geraniums and received ORANGE geraniums. They gave me new guinea impatiens instead of regular impatiens and I wasn't advised that the 12 perennial lavender ordered were out of stock and not included in my pickup. Tried numerous times to call beforehand when I received my confirmation but they do not answer and two emails sent also remain unanswered.

Huge greenhouse facility, somewhat deceiving when you walk in and your like where is the rest of it.... Selection is good, everything from seasonal plants to trees, to ferns, succulents, orchids and much much more. I love how they use the hundreds of hanging Boston Ferns to create shade for both the people walking underneath and the plants as well. They also sell outdoor/garden decorations, gardening tools, plant care and an area for clothes and nicknacks. Definitely worth the drive for a little day trip, to pick up a few additions to your plant collection or starters for the garden.

This was the last time I spend money at Bradford Greenhouse. Ordered plants on line. Girl brings them out says they were looking kind of limp so we watered them. 4 of the 8 didn’t make it. The pictures they use on the website turn out to be magnified a whole lot. Plants appear to have about an inch size flower. One is a third of the actual size and the other is micro scoping. Last years purchase 5 bamboo plants ( at 40 bucks a crack) the 2 that live the rest of the season only one grew.

Large selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Depending on the season, of course. Lots of tropicals and succulents all year. Not a huge selection of plant pots but a good size. They also have fresh flowers for bouquets. Not sure if they do weddings but I would assume they do. They have a small selection of greenhouse/hydroponic supplies. There are also two boutiques on site. One sells clothes and the other silk flowers, prints, quirky plant/flower related items. They can be a bit pricey for large size tropicals, trees and outdoor pots but the selection and lack of other large scale options make it a go to place. The staff are knowledgeable and I've never had an issue getting a question answered. They are very covid compliant. The greenhouse proper can get a bit humid and it can lead to a very warm face under a mask, not a deal breaker though.

was there today for a curbside pickup order. curbside service was great, employees all wearing masks (although some incorrectly, not covering nose). the low star review is for them not requiring customers to also wear masks when entering the store and also clearly not enforcing a 2m or 6ft min distance between customers. this isnt helping.

Really. ..after 2 years the guy even takes the pots back? How embarrassing. ...shame on you for making the business owners to blame for your obvious lack of care for the pots. ..I have left pots out 12 months a year with improper drainage and storage only to have them rot on the bottom or Crack due to ice expanding in poorly drained item...which was My fault....love this store and the staff who always cater to their customers above and beyond.. open your wallet and buy new pots ..then learn from your mistakes and take better care of them.

We ordered a tree from Bradford Greenhouses for curbside pickup - pickup went well. Before planting I went back to their website for more information and found that the tree I picked up that morning had gone on sale. So if I had walked into the store and bought it, I would have paid $30 less than picking it up at the other end of the store. I sent them an email same day but got no reply. That is just poor customer service. Sorry Bradford, but ignoring a long time customer is not the way to get them to return next year.

The selection is huge and semi knowledgable staff. You should check the potting soil for weeds before planting as I've found noxious weeds like bindweed growing in the pots with their trees. The staff are otherwise helpful and polite, the greenhouse is pleasant to walk through, and they have great end of season sales.

I will never shop here again. They have lost thousands of dollars from me in future purchases due to terrible customer service. I bought the bluebird sectional and paid 1799, got delivered on June 27, a week later on July 6 the same sectional goes on sale with 540 dollars off. I call to see if they will give me a credit since it’s within 14 days of there return policy. They say no and won’t let me return due to covid. I understand I can’t return these days but not even a credit is possibly? I will be making sure to tell as many people as possible that they are abusing their customers using covid as an excuse. DO NOT SHOP HERE

I had a great online/curbside pickup experience. We just moved to the area and I wanted to use a local greenhouse for flowers and baskets as opposed to 'big box' stores. I've seen this place often when heading into Barrie so I thought I'd try the curbside pickup. Super easy! Went online, picked my plants and was then shown an assortment of dates and time slots available (some as early as the following day), chose one convenient for myself and I was done. I did receive an email that one item I wanted wasn't in stock but I ordered fairly early in the season, so I can't even fault them on that. Items will sell out faster before bigger shipments come in, especially this particular year, where the number of flowers coming in may not be as great as previous years. I went to pick them up at my time slot, a lady came around taking order numbers and letting inside staff know which vehicle to bring it to. Then staff would deliver it to your car. I had the option to have them put in my trunk or do it myself. They were super friendly, I didn't find it over priced (maybe if you compare it to Walmart ????), service was great and quality is beautiful!

I love Bradford nursery. However l sure didn't like being forced to wear a mask. It was so hot that I couldn't stay long and l found it hard to breathe and felt light headed. Ordered over $80 worth of items and ended up getting less than 1/2. Only charged for what we got so no problem there. Items we did get were not up to our expectations. Tomato plants were very small and will need great care in getting them to mature. Potato vines were also much smaller than in previous years. Speed for pickup was good and staff were friendly. With social distancing in effect there was a long line up to enter store. This is why we opted for on-line ordering. Somewhat disappointed with items we received.

Loved it, my favorite spot in Barrie. But I've noticed their plants have got really expensive. When you arrive they ask you to put on a mask if you dont have one they give you one if you dont want to wear one you dont get in, wonderful a store that cares about their staff and their community. One of the largest garden centres in the area offers a huge selection of everything you would need for your garden or landscaping needs. Despite the large size you can always find a friendly staff member to help you and steer you in the right direction. Im always amazed at their scope of knowledge. Spring planting flowers tend to move quickly as do herbs so I try to get in early in the planting season. I have seen what happens when you wait too long, they are either sold out or as they say "the pickings are slim". They also carry a wide selections of outdoor furniture, planters, seeds and fertilizers. A great one stop shop. They have a very large parking lot so parking is never an issue. They also have staff outside ready to help you load your order into your car. Prices are reasonable and great when they have a sale.
