Was here last night with friends, I had raw tiny tuna taco's, lobster roll, potato salad and a nice sour beer. It was a great meal and a really nice change from the standard pub type fair you get at most of the chains in ontario. I would def go back as there was some other very interesting options on the menu also.

First time at a Beertown and a must say the service and food was great. Inside seating was spaced out correctly for COVID-19. All of our food was really good, from the calamari to the mains everything tasted great. The beer choices are of course good, and you have plenty of new and traditional beers to pick from. Service was fast and everything was clean. We will definitely being coming back to try some other items on the menu. While we didn’t sit outside due to rain the patio is huge and can hold a lot of people, so next time weather permitting we will sit outside.

Did curbside pick up for Father’s Day. Food was ready in record time. I’d be willing to pay for a thermal bag as I had to drive a little ways … I brought one with me, but I needed one for cold and one for hot. Amazing plant based selection that allows for meat eaters and vegetarians to each get what they want. Online order customization also available. Will try the patio next time.

I was here for lunch on a Sunday. The first thing I noticed was that the staff were very friendly, they checked my vaccine status in a very professional way and made me feel welcome. The beer selection is fantastic! I'm a fan of some obscure import styles and they not only had what I was looking for, but a selection of my favourite style! The food was delicious. I had the special, it was really well made and I felt the value was excellent. Overall I'm happy with Beertown and glad that the Barrie location was an equally good experience as my usual Guelph location.

Visited recently on a weekday evening and it was a busy spot. Parking may be hard to find at peak times. Shared the Guac & Chips, ate the fish tacos and finished off the meal with sticky toffee pudding. All were delicious. My only complaint would be the ketchup that they serve - it tasted like watery BBQ sauce. It was awful. Service was great. Would visit again.

Very impressed with my experience at this restaurant. As a vegetarian it is hard to find places that offer more than one vegetarian option. They had an entire menu of plant based options! The food was amazing and the customer service was top notch. Management was walking around the entire time making sure things were running smoothly and staff was supported. For someone who works in the industry, I pay attention to all the little details. It was very clear to me that they know what they're doing. I will defiantly be returning!

Last night, July 27th my friends and I had a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Prior to attending our reservation I called the morning of at 11:00am to ensure our reservation was for inside. Upon arrival we were asked if we would prefer inside or outside seating. We had told the hostess and manager that we had a reservation for inside so our preference would be for inside seating. The manager then told us that the table was already set up for outside so it would be easier if we just sat outside...so we did. The heaters were not on on the patio and it was a chillier night. The service was VERY slow...we waited about 30min between each drink/food order. Our server did not come around to check if we needed another drink, and did not clear any of the glasses from the table until we paid at the end of the night...we had 7 people drinking so you can imagine the pile up of glasses, paddles, and food plates. Our food and some drinks were brought out by two different managers. I had asked each manager if we could put in a food order, and drink order since we hadn't seen our server in a while...both times both managers said they would send our server over, and did not want to take our orders. I have never been to a restaurant where the managers have refused to take orders. I have been to other beertown locations and the service was great. That was not the case at the Barrie location. Our food was amazing, but the service was not even close to what it should be. When it was time to pay for our bills, our server took about 15min to come back with a machine after giving us our bills. When we were paying, our server then took out her cell phone and was texting/reading her text messages and responses out loud. We also had many orders for other tables being brought to us throughout the night...it seems like there is a clear lack of management training for staff, and the managers were less than professional in my opinion. Like I stated, I love beertown, the food, the beer, and the atmosphere, but I do not know if I will be returning to this location because of the service we received.

Just a short stroll off the old 400 highway in the centre of Barrie. You can even crawl back downtown if you need to. Many delicious beers on tap that you just can't find anywhere else. Celebrate beer while you enjoy some truly great feed! They even fill up your empty glass with more beer...

We ordered Beertown for takeout tonight, I've been dying for the wonton nachos I tried on my visit before lockdown. Unbelievable food!! It's hard to find consistency in takeout but our food was as good as it would be sitting down to a fresh meal in house! Everything was so good! The Beer and Cheddar soup is legit! I would recommend Beertown every time! Can't wait till we can sit down in house again!

I’ve always heard about this place and once they opened in Barrie I knew I had to try it out…and so happy my daughter and I went! The outdoor patio is amazing…the food and service was by far the best part of our experience. Our server Joey was a blast! So friendly and attentive to all our needs! Good experience but could be better. I ordered the double burger with fries and it was delicious, warm and fresh with great flavour. My wife on the other hand ordered the chicken sandwich and unfortunately was undercooked and slightly pink in the middle, when we told the waitress about this she said it probably was the seasoning and didn’t offer to exchange it which wasn’t what we expected unfortunately. Other then that the vibe was good, the restaurant was clean and well kept, and all the staff was friendly and attentive even though they were busy! Best selection of pints! I would come back again!

2021 October: 3/5 The food here is substandard at best. They cover the burgers with a LOT of toppings but in my view that is to cover the fact that the burger itself is rather bland and not filling at all (plus very messy though I would not mind that if the burger was amazing). Especially that part about the burger not being filling I found a huge bother as for me I was hungry after eating their lamb burger (3/5) and went to another restaurant afterwards. Was given very few fries (3/5) with my meal so was not impressed with that either. The table we were sitting at was wobbly (like someone had bashed one of the legs) so from the start was questioning the place so that did not help. The server was friendly (5/5), and they did serve everyone at our table at the same time (5/5) so that was good. The sink in the washroom was rather odd, I find the water splashes easily and was not impressed with that mess, though the slogan on the mirror was extremely amusing (about washing your hands like you just cut jalapenos and have to take out your contacts). Tried the meals of others at our table. Beef Brisket burger (3/5) tasted like a burger with sauce slapped on after the fact, not cooked into it so not impressed. Another at our table ordered a medium-well steak and got a medium to medium-rare one (medium on one side, medium rare on the other) so found that rather amusing as they were not impressed at first with that at all. The steak itself was rather bland (3/5) so again was not impressed, especially for the price of everything...did NOT try their beer as was the designated driver this time so cannot comment on that...will not return though as not impressed with their food...

Overall experience was mediocre. After hearing rave reviews, we found the pad Thai lost all its flavour on its way from Thailand to Beertown. If you enjoy bland veggie stir fry with a couple pieces of chicken, it’s all yours. This is not pad Thai. We tried the lettuce wraps, pad Thai and chicken Carolina sandwich. Loads of lettuce but barely any chicken in this DIY wrap fiasco. I wish I had grabbed a picture. Carolina chicken sandwich was ok but it arrived with a few uncooked fries, barely any spice and the Carolina mustard was absent. We shared this fish and the side plates arrived covered in a sweet liquid forcing me to go wash my hands before being able to eat. Our poor waitress seemed overwhelmed and was getting very little help from the managers walking around all the time. We had empty beer glasses on our table during our meal and it was impossible to catch anyone’s eye for a refill. The staff were moving quickly past us and the managers never looked up to scan the tables to see what was happening and instead spent loads of time standing around chatting to each other. The busboy dropped the food and ran, didn’t bother asking if we needed anything and didn’t explain what the condiments were on the food servings. We tried five times to get someone to bring us another drink during our meal. We were sitting close to the beer fridge and the kitchen. The food check on our meal came as we were having the final bites of our bland stir fry, we asked for some spice and got some sambal olek. This is also when we finally got to order another drink. We managed to get on the wait list by calling the restaurant and they sent us a text within 10 minutes asking us to arrive within 15 minutes. Hosts were very friendly. The selection of beers is quite large and the online menu is connected to Untapped beer social network which gives you more in depth reviews. You could spend hours looking through the selection. It was a very busy Friday night and always a tough night to determine the quality of a place. Might return to check it out but overall it was a disappointing experience.

Sad experience. As we entered itself they gave us a table at the very back of the restaurant while the whole patio was empty and at least 7 to 8 tables were available for us to sit at. We were the only Indians present so out of curiosity we asked what's the reason to seat is at the back and the explanation given was that that areas waitress did not receive any tables all day so we were given that. They divided the patio into sections for the servers. And after a heavy rain the weather was cold, instead of sitting us near the heaters they out us at the back side where it was all wet, cold and no one else. And it did not feel like a solid explanation. We felt very bad about this and it felt racist and partial. After this we left and did not sit there even though we were very tempted by their menu and ambience.

First time at this establishment and we were very impressed. After a long lockdown and only reopening a short time ago, it didn’t show. The patio was busy but well run, clean and the service was prompt. After looking at the menu and discovering there were tons of plant based options I was blown away. I was expecting the same boring vegetarian burger that most restaurants seem to carry so they can say they have the vegetarian options covered, but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. At the end of the meal our server Brandon told us that tonight was his first shift working alone. I have been in the service industry for decades and would never have guessed. He was pleasant, helpful and a great conversationalist. Brandon is a fantastic addition to this restaurant and we will definitely be asking for him to serve us again. I am confident that all the servers are great but we really enjoyed Brandon’s service.

We went here for a friends BDay party on the weekend. Beer selection is unheard of in Barrie. Food wise, we ordered two apps and both were highly exceptional. We had the spinach and artichoke dip as it is one we order whenever we see it on a menu. There's was EXCEPTIONAL to an extreme. They serve it with these delicious preztel things which were amazing but the dip itself was also the best dip we have ever had. Wish you could bottle and sell it as we would grab a LOT of it.

Had a company dinner there last night and from the Manager to the Servers all were awesome! The Manager helped us get the orders all sorted out in advance of the 9 of us showing up for dinner. Went to Barrie location on Saturday night with a party of 8 for a “bachelorette dinner” The staff were so helpful with a little decoration of the table, they brought the Bride to be a chocolate dessert unprompted and made the festivities that much better. Our server was “Above & Beyond” and I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but she was fantastic! She was very attentive when needed and totally on top of the table. The food! Sooo much food, we ended up sharing so we could all try everything. Thanks for such a great experience all around!

I decided to try Beertown in Barrie today. I've been to the Cambridge and Kitchener locations and always had great experiences. Today we decided to try the curbside pickup. I placed an order on the website and was told it would be ready at 12:15pm. I got to the restaurant early and called at 12:00pm to let the staff know I had arrived. I waited... and waited in the curbside pickup spot. My food came out at 12:35pm. I noticed they were busy, so no big deal. After my 5 minute drive home I discovered that the food was cold. I'm sure the experience eating inside is amazing and the beer is great, however my experience with curbside pickup was poor.

Service was okay, food was horrible. No flavour what so ever. I got the turkey burger. No seasoning in the burger and no seasoning in the guacamole. Burger was also very dry. My coworker got the salmon salad and it didn't even have any dressing. Kale pieces were cut so large that you could barely fit it in your mouth and the spiral beets were never ending. It was just one long string. Not pleased. We were also attacked by mosquitos the whole time we were there.

I came with my husband an hour ago, we walked in and the hosts say we have to wait 1 hr. we walked out. While We did that I saw 3 different car parking. Out of curiosity I told my husband to wait outside with the car by the door to see if this people going to be seated and get a table, and on that time few more couples walked in and get a table. Total of 5 couples, none came out. I even offered to sit in the bar. I know I’m not 20 or 49 years old and that’s not the way to treat people

Had to try out all the hype around this place. Walking into the venue and it is a great atmosphere. Friendly staff everywhere. Great outdoor Patio to host your date or parties. If you are a beer lover... well they have a selection for YOU. The paddles are a great way to try something new and see if your going to like it. I'm a big fan of Delirium and they have it! The food selection is surprisingly fantastic. Good choice of food to go with your drinks. In the Simcoe County area I would highly recommend giving these guys a try. Also try a Frulirium. Shout out to my server Teresa who was amazing at breaking down the menu and selection.

Sadly it was disappointing. We got the buttermilk fried chicken bucket for family of 4, as well as, spinach dip and the flatbread that has brushetta on it (cant remember what it was called). The biggest disappointment was the chicken. There was just no flavour to it. It was really really greasy like it wasnt drained after cooking and it was slightly burnt ????. The bucket the chicken came in had a small pool of grease in the bottom (cant see in picture because I had thrown the sauce in the bucket). The portion size of the bucket was really good if we had been able to eat it. None of us liked the spinach dip, but that could just be our own tastes. The flatbread was ok but wouldnt buy again. What was great was their fries! Could have eaten a bucket of them instead lol. And the potato salad was terrific. But sadly it cost me just under $100 and the only thing that was enjoyable was the side dishes.

Just opened November 2020, and wow. The food was amazing. The portions were big, and the food was cooked perfectly. The brand new building has perfect restaurant lighting. The music was good and not too loud, so we could talk to each other without yelling! The servers really cared about our experience and did a great job. They have a great team and a really cool decor. I’d go back. I’d recommend beer town for a date night, a family meal, and a boys night out. Great job. The beers were awesome too, but that’s a given.

I have been a regular customer since they opened their doors for the first time - friendly staff every single visit, fresh prepared food every meal and an excellent tap selection. I was excited to try a new place to eat, but sadly I was disappointed. very crowded, I originally ordered the brisket, but was informed 10 mins afterward, that they ran out? so I ordered what the mac and cheese, and there is nothing that resembles that in this dish. it was dry pasta with a very small amount of sauce. The waitress asked if I wanted to order something else, but I didn't want to pay for another meal I may not like. I will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to my friends and family.

I have been three times and with different people . The second visit was at noon . But this last time it was later . In both cases we found the noise level very high and it caused people to shout. The menu is a very poor choice as the mac and cheese was horrible and the fried chicken badly coated . The chicken was well done and very hot so very good . The service is very good but I'm afraid I will not suggest we gather ,again ,at this location . Sorry but I enjoyed the first visit as we were outside and very well lite and beautiful setting . You need to do something to reduce the noise factor and do a better job on the menu than maybe ?

Appetizers were good, but we got the Ultimate Mac and cheese and the BBQ brisket platter and niether was very good.. The Mac and cheese (while having lots of chicken)was very oily to the point the cheese rolled off in droplets, not stretched and in strings like a good Mac n cheese.. The Brisket itself was cooked well but lacked seasoning, the 'creamy' coleslaw was just dry cabbage and carrots, the maple flovour baked beans just tasted spicy with no hint of sweetness or maple, the other downside is they only have 2 kinds of BBQ sauce at the restaurant( one is Korean BBQsauce, the other is a spicy Ancho sauce). It looked appealing on the plate but was not as described on the menu and not worth the $23 for the brisket or the $21 for the Mac and cheese. Staff was very nice/friendly and dinning area was very clean. It's also strange they will stock Coors Light but not Molson Canadian in the fridge(lots of room for both).

Well after being disappointed from Noble Cuisine next door, Beertowm has picked up our business twice in as many weeks. There were small issues the first time in with the food and the last night it was even worse. With a table of 6, 4 of us were less than impressed with the food served. The fries were under cooked and the fish two of us ordered was down-right gross (and under cooked it seemed too). The fish was soggy and the batter undercooked. One guest sent his fries and fish back. The fires were replaced, now charred black for some reason. The fish was not re-requested. I ate mine, however it was barely edible with zero crispness of the in-house battered fish (I was also up sick feeling at 3;30a too). The nachos were also soggy and not great. The burgers looked great but those were enjoyed by the other 2 guests. More than anything I am disappointed with the management that clearly knew we weren’t happy. The manger/owner (whomever it was), kept looking over but failed to approach the table to ask how the restaurant might improve. The guy that sent back the food was a franchise restaurant inspector and was blown away with the lack of quality control support or customer service follow up. Without good management, it’s hard to blame anyone down the chain. The last issue was the one cook assistant that clearly didn’t want to wear a mask properly. Again, where’s the management to enforce the mask wearing while preparing food?? Twice now, less than impressed so I don’t think I’d go there for anything more than a beer now (it was good).

Decided this past weekend we'd give them a try after having great experiences with the take out menu during covid lockdowns. Sadly we got a waiter that clearly disregards food allergies and didn't feel the need to type things in. Management did at least step in and rectified things, very quickly. Still spent the last week sicker than sick, but that's the reality of trusting others to follow protocols or even care to relay them. Other parties with us also had a meh experience. 2 plates completely wrong at a table of 4. Ouch. Getting drink refills was a headache. Was sad to learn we also had to pay for each individual POP too. Who doesn't offer free refills for the non-drinkers driving your money makers home? That's just silly. Will come back, for take out only.

I went there with a friend for the first time today and it was a great experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we got a great spot on the patio. We asked for recommendations and started by sharing the Wonton Nachos with chicken. They were amazing, loved all the different flavours, very large portion, too much to finish. I had the Asian Salmon Bowl and my friend had the Kale and Blueberry salad with chicken and goat cheese, candied pecans and other assorted greens. My friend absolutely loved her salad, my Asian Salmon Bowl had good flavours but my salmon was overcooked and therefore a bit dry. We also had a Grapefruit Radler and a Stella. When the bill came, our server told me that she removed the charge for my Asian Salad Bowl because of the salmon. I was very surprised and pleased that they are clearly very customer service focused. Our server was excellent, I just remembered her name it is Courtney will definitely be back!

Food was good, beer was good. Great selection for beer. I had the southern fried chicken. It was crispy and tasty. I enjoyed the house ketchup and mustard sauce. Wasn't a fan of the dill sauce, but that's just personal preference. My wife had the vegan tacos. I tried one and they were very good. The atmosphere is pretty good. It was packed when we went, so it was very loud. Rated 4 stars instead of 5 only because I mentioned that it was my wife and brother-in-law's birthday and there was no acknowledgment by the staff. I wasn't expecting any free dessert or anything at all for free, but at least ask me if we want a slice of cake of something for dessert. Either way, I would go back.

Unreal!!! This place is in my opinion the best place to eat in town! Where too start... Service Our servers name was Isabelle I believe, she was incredible girl definitely knew how to do her job and clearly enjoyed doing it. While enjoying our drinks I observed the manager going around asking if everyone was enjoying the food, then in the same breath was also clearing tables for the servers to keep things rolling.. very rare to see, hats off to you sir. Then to top it all off I ordered the country fried chicken when I recieved my food from the server she said I didn't think the portion size was enough so the kitchen is making you some more. Then the manager came to apologize!! I didn't even eat the extra chicken but the effort was truely appreciated and oddly impressive considering how instead of taking a relaxed approach and using covid as an excuse to perform poorly, they did the exact opposite they went the extra mile even when the extra mile wasn't needed. Needless to say this place is a well oiled machine and I would suggest other restaurants in town take note Beertown Barrie is here to stay!!! See you guys again real soon. FYI artichoke and spinach dip with pretzels... Sooooo good!

I should have taken photos. What a nice time. The patio was great. It was nice and open. The food was great, everyone was raving. We tried the fish tacos Southern fried chicken Brisket burger and brisket poutine And the Mac and cheese There were two other dishes but I didn't hear comments or what they ordered. Everything else was raved about. Service felt a little slow, but we also didn't feel rushed to make decisions or get finished. Beertown is definitely worth the visit. And they have a pretty decent sticky toffee pudding on the menu.

Visited for our third time yesterday, and each visit is better. The consistency between service and quality has been awesome every visit. The restaurant is VERY clean. We brought our 3 year old daughter and the service could not have been more spot on. She was the first to receive a drink - activity and crayons, spoke to each visit to the table which kept her happy/occupied and we were able to enjoy our dinner. As most parents know soon as the kiddos become bored you have to wrap it up sooner than you would like. We will definitely visit again.
