We haven't received the furniture that we purchased yet so this 5 star review is strictly towards the amazing experience that we had with our sales associate Debbie P. Instantly she made us feel welcome, and as though she had our best interests at heart when suggesting product. In sales myself I cannot stand a high pressure persuasive tactic and she was polar opposite and thats exactly what we needed. She listened and answered all of our questions and she was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I can't wait to receive our new items and come back to purchase more! Debbie you rock, thank you for making this a great experience ????

Ashley furniture store is quite big for us. They have variety of collection including bedding, living room, kitchen, indoor and outdoor furniture. All are very good quality and very expensive for me. Store is nicely decorated with furniture and accessories. I love the store and can spend hours to see it. But I did not buy anything. All looks expensive for me. Staffs are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They can add affordable price products. There are parking available for customers.

I just bought the King Bellaby bed online. I signed up for emails and received a coupon for an additional 50 dollars off. When it did not work online I was able to quickly chat with Morgan who helped me apply my code aswell as set up a delivery date for a few days away. Just here as I had originally posted a five star rating. The sales rep was nice, and easily had a five star attitude. The one star review is due to the fact delivery dates are way off. Originally our delivery was estimated at four weeks. Great, I can wait four weeks for our furniture. So far it’s been over 8 weeks and now they’re saying not til January 2022, that’s 25 weeks. Wish I had known, I would have looked elsewhere.

Worst service ever in my life. I've been trying to return a bed set for nearly a month now ( broken bed, Broken armoire, AND broke my pictures getting it into the house.) and I'm getting quite irritated about their service, I've called Four times! Telling them to take my bed back I was told I have 60 days to return it and I called a week into the order date, they ignored my calls and messages then when I did get ahold of someone I was told then 30 days then 48 hours. All withing me calling them THREW OUT the month. I said I don't want it they held off on it for as long as possible saying they'll call me back give me a number for a manager whom will call me if they want too, Which never called me back nor the other people who said they would. I'm fighting with this store to force them to take my bed back and they're refusing to help me then trying to say I can't take my bed back, then saying I can take it back. I've been thrown around MULTIPLE times by this shady, ridiculous, untrustworthy business. Do not buy from that company.

Had an amazing experience today with the help of Matt. Hands down best customer service we received at any of the Barrie furniture stores we visited over the last few weeks. He helped us pick out the perfect items for our place, thoughtfully suggest the best items for the layout and was all around a great guy!

We bought a sectional that was delivered in July. Immediately, one section of it was creaking and making cracking sounds like it was 10+years old. I called customer service and was told I had to go through the online chat to get a technician to come out to fix it. We did this, a technician came out, and he seemed to fix the issue. Only a few days later, the sounds came back, worse than ever. Same thing, called customer service, was redirected to the online chat function, another technician came out, temporarily fixed the issue, noises were back within days. Once again called customer service, once again redirected to online chat, once again a technician came out. This time, he told us that that the couch would have to be brought in for an in-store fix. We were fed up at this stage. Clearly that part of the couch is defective and we should be given a replacement. Called customer service, was told that until they confirm that the couch is not repairable, we are not eligible for a replacement (if 3 different technicians are unable to repair a couch that is less than 3 months old, that seems unrepairable to us!) and so our only option is to make do with half a couch for an unknown amount of time while they try to fix it for the 4th time. Terrible customer service and very disappointing experience. We will make sure to avoid Ashley's in the future.

Very bad customer service! If I could give them a zero, I definitely would. Bought two sectionals in June. We were told that the delivery would be for the first one during the first week of July and the second one by the end of July. So far, we are still waiting and no update has been gives to us. We went to the store weeks before and we were assured that we will soon receive an update by latest last Tuesday and so far, no one called us. At this point, we are considering canceling our order with them. After sales does not exist with this company. Would not recommend anyone to go there. Very unprofessional and unethical. Just to make the customer buy something, they lie and promise that the delivery dates would be soon, but then the reality is a far from that!

I went into the Ashley store twice. The first time was to look at some items in person that I had seen online so I could decide between them. The second was to make a purchase. The lady who helped me the first time was wonderful, her name was Amandeep. She wasn't there when I went in to complete my purchase. A very nice man, I think his name was Mike, helped me the second time. I had already completed the financing application online before I went in, but I still waited over an hour and a half. I am not sure why it took so long to essentially verify my identity and sign 2 papers, but it did. I went into the store knowing exactly what I wanted. I haven't gotten the items yet, and the staff is helpful and friendly, but there has got to be a way to make the process faster!

Ashley Homestore is amazing! The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Warranty options are priced reasonably and Ashley has one year on them. The prices can be seen as expensive to people but everything is built to last with great quality. They don't lie about when furniture arrives like The Brick does as they care about their clients. I recommend the locally owned, non-commission Ashley Homestore every time to my family and friends if they want the best Fort McMurray has to offer!

I purchased a living room sofa set, as well as coffee tables. The sofa set came in ripped up plastic and the fabric on the back of the sofa was ripped. They said they would send in a technician to fix it, never heard back. The coffee tables came and they were covered in mold when I took them out of the box. I asked for them to be returned and they did a week later they brought me floor model tables which were already assembled. They wore their boots in the house on our white carpet, and scratched the tables while bringing them in stacked up on top of each other without anything being covered or protected. When we call for service to deal with the issue, they give you a hard time and go on about having to put in a claim. The service with this company is awful and I would not suggest anyone putting any money towards this. Not only do they bring you broken beaten up floor models when you pay good money for their product but they don't stand behind the product or help their customers when things are delivered poorly.

Ashley's was having a terrific sale so we decided to check it out. We were not in the market for new furniture but after seeing the selection it was hard not to imagine how good these pieces would look in our home. We saw something we liked, and Matt (our salesperson) was very attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions and helped us get the best possible price. We love Ashley Furniture EXCEPT we have had so many issues when waiting for your furniture to arrive. In the last few months we have bought a sectional, couch and chair, and two dining sets. Our sectional was sent in two parts and we waiting 3 months in between for the other half of our couch! When our dining room table was delivered there was visible damage as if someone used a marker to touch up the top of the table in the wrong colour even. I have sent photos off to appropriate department as once you buy anything with them you don't actually deal with your sales rep again. It has been weeks and they still have no reached out to get a new table... I just called and the customer service rep said they are delayed in responses to photos and when I asked to speak to a manager he hung up on me. You should respect the people that buy from you not hang up and we just have to wait for a call or e-mail from another person in another department,

Update sept 16 2021 So the customer service during purchasing was marvellous, my couch was to arrive anytime between purchase and the 15 . We had purchassed sectional and coffee table, sales person advised tge order will be ready by latest in two weeks but we have not recieved our order or any updates after more than 40 days! Depending on the day you go depends on the customer service. Ethal was fantastic, can't say the same about some others. The floor models aren't constructed very well making things seem cheap. They haven't updated inventory in a while as my exact living room set pre fire is still there. The layout is terrible, many power recliners not plugged in. Overall store quality and experience was bad.

Disappointed with the whole experience. As a business owner myself we know the importance of the customer experience. My partner and I ordered 3 items from the Barrie location, 2 of which were damaged in the process. After ordering we received a call a week later saying that the floor model bedframe we purchased had broke; someone apparently tripped on the bed in store and broke it. Then the sectional shipment was rescheduled 3 times. We tried to be understanding during COVID shortages that items could be delayed but on arrival day the ottoman arrived with a huge stain on it!! We asked to return the ottoman and kindly asked for a refund for the damaged goods; customer services response was there would be a 10% re-stocking fee. Why are we being charged to return a damaged product? Very disappointed. We will not be purchasing from this location OR the Ashley brand ever again.

Truly unfortunate. Michelle cook a salesperson at the store, along with the floor manager i forget her name. Made false promises to my sister. We purchased 13,000 in furniture to fully furnish our new home it’s been weeks past the due date they advised us wed get the furniture and the only piece they dropped off was this one piece of a sectional. Broken in half. Then I contact the store to speak to Michelle and the manager and they both advise me to talk to client care. Client care then advises me a technician will call me.. its been two weeks now,, no call 13 thousand for one piece of broken furniture. Also don’t listen to the email they tell you to email.. because no one will answer. I tried. I even texted the images to the number they told me.. nothing happened.. ASHLEY FURNITURE .. Michelle and assistant manager!! My sister and her kids neeed there new furniture they currently have no where to sit. And they want this broken piece out of there house and replaced. She didnt pay that much money for a broken piece of furniture to arrive so you could tell her they are gonna try and fix it, this is suppose to be a couch that stays with them for years.. not a broken one !!! Fix this !!!!!!!!!!!! Furious also !! When they ask you to email them just remember it’s a fake email !! I just emailled them and it’s return to sender ever time !! They are quick to respond to a Google review with a fake contact email terrible company !! Absolutely horrible

Where do I begin with this review? Everything I ordered came extremely late. They had booked me 3 different days for delivery and nothing showed up. Finally they book me for delivery on the 4th attempt and everything but one piece came so they had to book delivery again. The furniture itself is garbage. My dining room table had defective legs which made the table wobbly, my couches don’t match at the back. One is higher than the other. The sent a technician who said we definitely needed new legs for the table yet the couches, that’s just how they are because apparently they are made at different warehouses. So I then asked if it would be acceptable to go to a hair dresser and have one side their hair shorter then the other and they couldn’t answer my question. I called customer care and obviously the highest level you can reach is a supervisor. Nothing higher than that and the supervisors can’t do anything besides give you an appreciation store credit / certificate which is useless because I would never buy anything from Ashley’s again. I hate everything about Ashley’s. The furniture and the service.

We went shopping in June for a couch as we were moving middle of August and know with COVID a lot of things have been behind. We booked a delivery date for Aug 20 which came with no couch and no one reaching out to us. I have always had to make the calls to them and we are still waiting. We are going to cancel our order because if it is this hard to get the couch how hard will it be if something goes wrong. I loved the couch we picked and found the service in store was good but feel like everytime I call I get another date and another promise that it's coming soon. We paid for this couch back in June also. Very poor follow up and customer service to customers who haven't received their furniture, which was our fear because of a lot of the reviews we've read. I would advise to go elsewhere.

We just recently purchased a sectional from Ashley Furniture Barrie and had the pleasure of getting to work with Deanna for our purchase. We visited the store right before lock down and there was a couch my husband and I were looking at. Deanna came to help us and we told her that we were renovating our basement and that we had our eyes on that one but it was too large. She helped us to find the one we ended up purchasing and she could not have been more helpful and supportive! We followed up with her just a few days ago and she was so attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. She made the decision to purchase our dream couch an easy one and we cannot wait until it gets delivered. The ultimate disappointment. Ali the manager was the worst person I’ve ever had to do business with. Total disregard for his customers. Blamed his staff when something went wrong. I ordered a couch and paid for it September 30th and it was delayed several times, which is fine, but not one phone call was made to me telling me the delivery date was changed. I told him I just got a new phone before I told him how frustrated I was with not being called to let me know and just as I thought he lied to me said he called me 4 times. This was a lie, I never got a new phone I just wanted to see if he would lie his way out, and he tried. I got all my money back in the end. I’ll never shop down there ever again. Wish I could give this manager 0 stars.

Extremely disappointed in my service with the Barrie Ashley’s furniture store. Would not recommend. On February 27th 2021 I ordered a lamp and 2 throw pillows. They said it would be at the hardware store by the end of March. End of March came and no updates on my order. I personally had to reach out and they than stated it would be another month to wait because the items was coming from a “3rd party”. Months have past I reached out again today June 3rd 2021. They stated it would not be in until August 4th 2021. At this point I was filled with frustration and asked to cancel my order. They than said I had to pay a cancellation fee of 10 percent and would have to wait for another worker to call back to help work on cancellation work up. I have a great feeling I will have to reach out about that as well. Ashley’s home store has stolen my money and time.

Complete nightmare!! After submitting a previous review #18, I received a call from the guest care center. Letting me know they are looking into the issue and tracking down the sectional purchased in March 31st. I had returned a missed call from the care center and they advised me my date for pick up is now Oct 6th!!! Keep in mind I had already been called and told the product was ready for pick up in Barrie. My husband took a day off work to pick up the sectional, to be told it wasn't there and it was at the Mississauga location. I have been advised 7 different times the product was either ready for pick up, half of it was ready and now I was told it's at the manufactures. What is it?!!!

The lady helping me helped me pick the right colour for my home and advised me I could pay for a warranty for up to 5 years and could call them up 5 times if needed.

I visited my local store in Barrie this afternoon and found a bedroom suite that I loved (Dellbeck 5 Piece Storage Bedroom). The sales person who I spoke to took quite sometime to put all the pricing together for the 5 piece package I inquired about. I must have stood there waiting for 20 minutes or more. When he came back, he quoted me over $4800 for the 5 piece AND quoted me that price with an extra delivery charge. THE SALES PRICE online is $4200 for the 5 piece with FREE delivery. Wish I would’ve check it out before hand. I feel completely taken advantage of. He claimed this was the lowest he could go and made me feel like he was going above and beyond to help me out. I get sales reps need to make their commission but this is total greed. I am so upset, this is unacceptable. Wondering if there is anything I can do to report this so someone else doesn’t become victim of his dishonesty and greed. I feel taken advantage of. A week later (since I can't reply to my original review or add another comment, I'm editing this one to add my initial comment)...I contacted customer care a week ago and STILL haven't heard back from anyone...and that is after 4 attempts...beyond disappointed.

I do not normally leave reviews. Most people don't when they are getting goods and services in professional way. But this time I decided to make an exception. We bought a bedroom furniture set: bed, closet, dresser, mattress, etc.. The sales process was smooth. We were given a "deal" with pricing. The money of $5,000.00 was paid. The real problems started in less than a month after purchasing, when our wooden bed frame cracked in the place of solid wood block in the middle of the night revealing weak frame structure. I visited the store next day to report the issue and was advised by store manager to call so-called "Guest Care Number" to open a service ticket and send them pictures of broken part. The response must come, he said, in 2 business days. I called guest service the same day and received a ticket number. I made pictures of broken part and emailed it to service address provided. That was it. After 2 weeks, there was no response from Ashley service up till now. I followed with few phone calls and during the last one, when service representative by name Ann in Winnipeg-based office for my question of when I can get promised "service technician" to "evaluate" pictures of broken part I've sent over, she answered "I do not know"(!!!!). I asked for timing the "technician" can review pictures: a week, a month, a year maybe.... The same answer was provided: "I do not know". After paying $5,000.00 and still not sleeping in our purchased bed, I emailed my final message, reflecting last "service updates" to service center - just for record. I really do not expect Ashley so-called "service" to respond anymore. After checking reviews of Ashley Furniture headquarters with overall service ratings less than 2, I realized that there is no service to wait for, but fix furniture myself. With this message I do not recommend Ashley structured furniture to anyone. In general, the furniture looks good, until you have any quality issue with it, P.S. To "owner": please do not post your response. I understand what you "do, love, etc.." Thanks, but no thanks for lack of service. Regards.

Terrible customer service. They have a “5 incident” warranty they claim they will come professionally clean your item. Twice now I have contacted them and they deny bc it happened over holidays and is now just beyond the “7 day” window. The other time they sent a new cover instead of sending someone to clean which resulted in a lingering smell on the cushion itself. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DO NOT STAND BY THE WARRANTY THEY TELL YOU IN STORE. Not to mention the couch broke 3 weeks after arriving. Nothing but issues.

Wish there was a minus score! We saw a dining set online available in Edmonton, called Fort McMurray store to see if they could get it up there for a Christmas gift for our son on December 19th. We were told they were able to get the set to be delivered to their store for the 24th. However that date didn’t work for my son. An Ashley employee guaranteed me the set would be available in store for pick up for the 28th. We repeatedly asked if it would be in store as we could have purchased the set ourselves in Edmonton, she again guaranteed it would be in store. After not getting any emails or phone calls that the set was in, we called on the 30th only to be told that the set we needed for a New Years Eve event was not to be delivered until January 2nd! Needless to say we were horribly disappointed that this store failed in their delivery and were not willing to anything to compensate us for their deceptive practices !I would NEVER recommend them for anything! Such poor customer service! Shop the Brick, shop Walmart but don’t waste your time, energy or money shopping at Ashley Furniture, in Fort McMurray.

So this is the 2nd time that we have done a big purchase at the store. We always go through Natalie and she is the reason we go back. Our first order came and the delivery was awful they were really bad and customer service was awful to deal with as well. Very bad service. Our bed was also cracked in a spot that we noticed towards the end of assembly so we just fixed it and moved on. Natalie is amazing to deal with and always helping us whenever she can. We have an order coming tomorrow and hopefully that goes over well but when we go back we will go back to Natalie again. Awesome job Natalie and thank you for all you do when we come to the store.

I called the service dept. at the Ashley Home Store in Barrie and was provided with a service order number and then told I have to contact the service dept. requesting the "chat" link. Upon doing so I was told the service tech was busy but that I could call back in 10 to 20 minutes. I called back in 15 minutes and was told by the same operator that the service tech. had gone for lunch (3:45 p.m.). I asked why I was within the operator's recommended time to call again and contrary to her commitment, he had left for lunch. Her reply was that he deserved a break, that he wouldn't be back for 60 minutes, that he could not return my call when he was available and no apology for lack of accountability or the fulfillment of her commitment that the tech would be free in 10 to 20 minutes. She suggested I email a photo. How does anyone depict a WOBBLY BAR STOOL in a photo? I had already been inconvenienced having to constantly replace the screws and bolts, which had fallen out of the stool, back into the bar stool which is less than a year old. It is obvious to me that they are not keen on fullfilling their commitments as regards customer service. Haven't I been inconvenienced enough already? Karyn Winstone

We purchase a new table from this store months ago. The store promised a delivery date and missed it several times. After fighting for weeks to get the table delivered, they delivered a table that was damaged. The chair is broken, the table is damaged, the bench is missing hardware, and the master chair is missing rivets. When we spoke to “Guest Care”, who are absolutely useless, they told us we bought an “as is” table. We absolutely did not! We immediately called the store and they admitted their mistake. We purchase a new table. We have now been playing the he said she said game between the store and useless “Guest Care” for months. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Do not buy from this store!

Worst worst worst experience ever. Delivered faulty products and all attempts to get through to customer service have been ignored for months. Promised calls back and never came. Repeatedly asked for help and told “we’re awaiting an assessor” to look at the pictures of the products. It doesn’t require an assessor to look at a photo and tell me my chair and table are quite obviously faulty or broken. A month later, table was picked up and taken away after MANY failed pick-ups and being messed around by customer service team. Delivery team did not show up to deliver table - no phone call, nothing. I rung to ask what happened - customer service says there's nothing they can do. Rescheduled for a week later, despite my pleading that I NEED MY TABLE BACK. After final rescheduled delivery - delivery text comes through with COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TIME THAN WAS ALREADY ORGANISED. Sham company. Worst I've ever encountered, anywhere. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This was the chair I received. After speaking with customer care, they REFUSED to give a new chair. Do not buy from this company. They will not deliver quality merchandise and then their 'solutions' are not flexible. They will quote their policy instead of working with the customer. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated as I waited over 3 months to get a product that is unusable. Now I have a chair that looks like garbage with no solution in sight... That's what $600 gets you at Ashley Furniture.

logistical nightmare. I've been told part of the sectional is there when it wasn't. I've been told the system shows its there but we can't find it. I was told it was ready to pickup today. I took time off work to drive there with a trailer to find out it's not there again. now I'm told it's in mississauga but probably be at least 4 weeks before they will send it to barrie? completely disappointed. would not recommend shopping here.

Got off to a really bumpy start with Ashely Homestore. However Deanna from the Barrie store rectified the issue (in the span of about 3 hours). She listened to my frustrations, offered a solution (if I was willing to give her the opportunity) and she followed through with her word. For that, I thank you. The Barrie store team is fantastic. It's really unfortunate though that they have to deal with the fall out of poor delivery service and poor agents working in Customer Care. Their delivery and customer care is why it's only a 3 star rating and not a four. Rating Deanna separately, her willingness to correct their shortcomings to make me a happy customer gets a five.

Purchased a dining room set last year, it was defective when it was delivered, also bought a high top table and received a low height bench (duh). Went back and forth several times and there was a huge delay in getting service because of Covid, had it booked for November and then canceled the day before because they had us down for the wrong route. The service tech showed up in December (bought set in March) and repaired the chairs. Today (10 months later), the delivery guys showed up and replaced the table, opened the box and it was the same as the one being replaced. I have already called and asked them to just pick up the set and refund my money. They told me that I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee. I will be calling again this week. I feel like we will likely end up in court. Sad, because we bought family room furniture form them a couple of years ago, and aside from a delay in the delivery, that went quite well and we were/ are happy with the product. I DO NOT recommend this store or their products. While the store makes it look higher end product quality is definitely not.

We just moved into a new house. Our last experience with Ashley furniture was so terrible that we won't be buying from them. The delivery guys are so lazy. They wouldn't take a loveseat into our old basement apartment, saying it wouldn't fit through the door. They didn't try turning it different ways, just saw a couple stairs and didn't want to do it. When I complained to management there was no apology. They just defended their lazy workers. My man had to take the day off work (goodbye money). Him and his brother got the love seat in just fine. IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. Told management and still no apology. Glad they gave us the money back for the FAILED delivery. Our new house will be furnished by someone else!!!
