While in Banff, we stopped in here quickly to grab something to eat. We ordered the Donair sub and the club sub, as recommended. The subs were pretty good, didn’t try the pizza but it looked enjoyable.

After an 8 mile hike we were exhausted and couldn't wait to order from Aardvark. Of course we ordered the aardvark pizza and hot wings. Dude....I'd rather eat feet. Pizza had no flavor, stingy on the meat and tasted like freezer burn and way too many green peppers. The hot wings were slimy and watered down but hey if you like soggy chicken...this place will knock your socks off.

Ordered a gluten free pizza and it was burnt black when I picked it up. They tried to make an excuse about gluten free needing more cooking, and then only offered a $1 discount for a basically inedible pizza. Won’t be going back

I was really surprised at the quality at this pizza by the slice. It looks really cool inside (looks like the Funky Pickle in Edmonton), but small (not much room to sit down and eat) so be ready to eat your piece standing up. The pizzas don't look very tasty, but man did they taste great!

I was pretty nervous ordering from this place after reading the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. On the phone, they said delivery time would be about 45 minutes, and it only took about half an hour. Pizza was hot, not undercooked or burnt. It was tasty and easy to order for our night off from dining out.

DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE. We were visiting banff on a holiday and were referred to this pizza place. They took our order and I told them the name of the hotel and the address(I was sure to be very specific) before 7:00pm after 45 minutes. I called back they blamed me fore sending the delivery driver to the wrong hotel. I clarified the hotel name ans address and they said they would send a delivery driver right away and offered me a discount. Another 45 minutes later i called back and they STILL had the wrong hotel. I just told them to cancel the order. The total for our order was $74 for 3 large pizzas and a salad. Dont even bother calling this place!!

Pizza was ok, Staff definitely isn’t shy about asking for tips, and that wasn’t even for delivery I picked it up and was reminded by the employee that a tip wasn’t made on the order and showed me where the tip jar was on the counter…that’s a definite first for me ever in any restaurant, definitely didn’t appreciate that after deciding to support local instead of calling Dominoes

A year ago this was my pizza spot! I used to drive to Banff especially to get this pizza with the dipping sauce! When I stayed at Tunnel mountain for a couple weeks I ordered it a 5-6 times. The pizza was the bomb! I tried the pizza the other day and was not impressed, too well done and just didn't taste the same. Really sucks cause this was my spot! Staff must have changed or something.

Honestly unless you’re after a soggy pepperoni or cheese pizza, or just desperate for a quick late night slice because McDonalds is too busy, don’t waste your time and money. Despite giving them multiple chances for the past 12 months they’ve managed to get 5 out of 6 orders completely wrong. Missing ingredients, ingredients you don’t ask for, undercooked or practically raw dough, topped off with an awful attitude by the lady on the phone when you ask for them to remake your messed up order or for a refund (if they ever process it). It’s a total shame because they’re a small business and used to be great, but lately have turned to absolute garbage. I sincerely hope they get their act together. In the meantime, spend your money elsewhere and support local businesses who are actually putting in some effort.

I got a large donair pizza but the guy must have delivered it on its side because all the toppings were between the bottom of box and lid crease. It was super late and we were hungry so we ate it anyhow. Tasted okay, but wasnt happy with that.

Visiting with friends from Ontario we were looking for a local pizza joint. We called and deliver was over an hour. So we ordered and guess what it was only 20 min to pick up! I'm guessing the delivery is probably better for locals I would hope? So ya the pizza was tasty and decent. If your from out of town it's a good option. =0)

This was my first time trying Aardvark. First impressions were really good. The delivery arrived way faster than expected which is nice. The crust was nice with a good crunch and still fairly light. Toppings were pretty generous as well. Cooked perfectly. Aardvark also has vegan cheese for anybody with dairy problems. Overall I was really satisfied with Aardvark. The only downside is that it seems a fair bit expensive for two pizzas. But that is also to be expected in a place like Banff.

Their delivery service is terrible. At average their delivery time is 45 mins which is already 15 mins too much time to wait for food. I ordered around 11:50PM, and still didn't get our food at 1:15AM. I went to them and they said they couldn't find our receipt and so I went all the way back home, and saw no delivery car or 2 orders of chicken wings. So its either their delivery service is bad, or they didn't even ring my damm order through. Imagine a long day of work and coming home, ordering food and it not even showing up... Yeah well, thats what I had to go through. So don’t order here if your not willing to wait 45mins-3hours. Just order Dominoes or Boston Pizza, where Boston pizza delivered me 3 party sized wing sets. And 4 large pizzas in a matter of 35 minutes where Aardvarks takes 45-3hours for 2, orders of wings. Not good. Would appreciate a reply from the Owner or Manager, since I am genuinely upset.

I ordered TWICE a donair with tzatziki and TWICE I got it with sweet sauce. Third time I called them about this they just ignored me and refused to give me a refund or even the correct replacement donair! Plus they forgot the mayo I ordered with my sweet fries. I won't be ordering from them again which is a shame because I liked their food. I just wanted a donair with tzatziki!

Loved the vibe and pizza!!! I has the Veganator and it was so good, and they put lots of vegan cheese! (anyone who orders vegan pizza knows pizza places always skimp on the cheese, so this was a refreshing change) They were also open until 3:00 am so me and my boyfriend were able to grab some after a long day of work The people there are very nice too :)

I can't figure out the reviews on here, though I have never ordered delivery. This is some seriously good pizza, with an incredible base and good sauce. We go most often while driving back to Calgary, as Banff is too nuts in summer to stop in for a meal. We call in the order and then we almost always find a spot on the street behind (Beaver) or else we send somebody in and do a lap around.

Tonight I ordered pizza delivery from here tonight I was told it would be 45 min-1hour, I called after 1 hour and asked where it was, the guy on the phone said it left 20 min earlier, but I am only 700 m from the restaurant so why am I still waiting? He said he would call the driver and call me back, after 10 more min I called back and the same guy on the phone said “I’m about to call him now” what?! You said that 10 min ago! I was lied to about the timing, I was lied to about locating the driver, and then when the pizza 8 min later and a total of 1 hour 21 min, not only was the pizza cold, but they didn’t put the extra cheese on that I paid for!!!! NEVER giving this company another dollar of my hard earned money! Please don’t eat here! Matt

My husband and I recently went to Banff - yeah, during a lockdown, not the best time. We're from Ontario, moved to Alberta and were anxious to see some sites. With there being no dine in option, we were pretty limited with meals during the four days we were in Banff. The first two days we tried some places and the food was terrible/cold - and one was from the restaurant in our hotel, so it wasn't due to them being far away. For lunch one day, we wanted pizza and thought we would try this place. Well for the rest of the trip, we got meals here. Not only were they delicious, they were hot and the service was really friendly. When we go back in the summer, we will definitely be stopping here again.

After another 30 mins we called back to see what happened and they just hung up on us. Terrible experience and we ended up ordering from another pizza place since it never arrived.

Haven’t enough of our locals suffered for you to realize that you should always be on the ball, especially considering you are working with food? I’m a massive germaphobe who has reached Alberta Health Services so hopefully there ways change! But considering I’m only editing my 1 star review from a year ago with no improved shows that you should probably just order Dominoes! I just wish I wouldn’t have had to see the employee without her mask while prepping my meal, refund received.

Personally I haven't had an issue with ardvark yet. They've always been fairly punctual with their delivery, and the food was always ok or great. Wouldn't say this is a high class restaurant for sure, but haven't had any issues with the food or delivery times. Love that delivery is free around Banff, definitely won't find another place with similar pricing every where else in Banff is much too expensive.

Found myself in Banff recently, and found myself, as usual, eating Aardvark pizza. Generally, when it's three a.m. and you're half cut, walking down the crowded late-night streets of Banff, there is no finer repast than a hot slice of Aardvark covered in chilis and parmesan. I actually love the controlled riot that forms there around two a.m. with crowds of zombie-drunks screaming garbled obscenities for no apparent reason. Anyway this time out instead of a slice on wax-paper, my friends and I actually ordered a couple of pizzas - pepperoni and mushroom and "the Aardvark" their eponymous pizza, figuring that if they put their name on it - it must be good. And it was pretty good. Delivery was surprisingly fast. The predominant flavour is, as usual, "kind of salty" but there's lots of cheese and the crust is great and most of the toppings seem fresh. Getting it out of the box, loses some of the late night fun, but still good.

Solid 4.0 If you are pretty smashed after a night of heavy boozing [usually from Rose and Crown above] this will ail your hunger. The pizza is alright, however I wouldn't give 5 stars simply because the shop itself isn't very large. At 1:30-2 AM when all the bars close everyone seems to crowd inside. And if it is winter you'll be even more crowded. Not exactly the most fun, but could be if you like being 15cm away from the face of the person next to you. The good pizza does make up for the small space though and in a pinch it will work, open later than the bars too. Nicework Aardvark.

When it comes to late night pizza, you have to order here in Banff. It’s great for before or after bar. How it is as just a meal... no clue. The people here are fun and you never know who you will meet waiting for a slice or a pizza. Delivery can take a while at night so just keep that in mind.

Amazing food! First time eating there, we ordered the nacho's, fries and gravy and a donair sub. I have no complaints about any of it. Great amount of food was given, and the price was perfect. Fast, fresh and friendly customer service. The food was piping hot when given to me, it wasn't sitting in a warmer waiting to be served. Just amazing. Every time I go to Banff I will definitely be ordering there again.

Omg this place is incredible. I only wish there was other locations of Aardvark pizza! Very friendly andthe pizza is soooooo good. Thin crust, light and crunchy. Me and my fiancé ordered a 14 inch double pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. So much cheese and crisp pepperoni. That was out first time too! I highly recommend this pizza place.

I ordered a donair and a taco. What I received was a triangular pile of donair meat with almost no sauce and a taco that looked like someone got half way through rolling it and decided that life was to short to spend all day rolling tacos for tourists and quit. 2/10 would not reccomend.

If you are gluten free, please skip this place. It's costly, as most places are, and what you get is just... Gross. It doesn't seem fully cooked, the crust is rubbery, and the flavour is awful. Gluten free options are limited when it comes to restaurants, so this being a massive disappointment was a let down. However, they *do* bake the pizza on its own individual aluminum pan, so they are aware of, and try to eliminate cross contamination. The person with me ordered other items that were made incorrectly, and left much to be desired. It's pretty clear that this place is literally for drunk people who are hungry after bars, and don't care for quality. There are good places to eat in Banff and there are bad places. This is bad. Pizza was soggy. Asked for banana peppers on my pizza and it seemed like they dumped the entire jar on it. Pizza was average at best. Nothing to brag about. We got the hand tossed regular crust. Perhaps the stuffed or thin is better? The meat tasted "Gamey" to us. We are a hunting family so we like elk sausage and such but it was a surprise on our pizza and one person traveling with us noticed it right off the bat and about got sick. Could use more cheese. The poutine however brings this 1 1/2 star pizza joint up to a 3 1/2. It was delicious. The gravy was just right. Wish they had a bigger portion for $10. Over all. Didn't break the bank and food is energy. So it satisfied me.

We've been getting subs from Aardvark for a few years now, and absolutely love them!! We decided to try the pizza for the first time this weekend, and was very disappointing. The taste was bland and the centre of the pizza was soggy... We'll definitely be ordering subs from here again, but dont think we will roll the dice on the pizza, anytime soon.

Atmosphere was good, the staff was friendly but the pizza was incredibly bland with a rock hard inedible crust. I couldn't even taste the actual pepperoni. Safe to say this was the worst slice of pizza I've eaten in a very long time. Even big chain pizza places do it better, it reminded me of grade school cafateria but somehow worse, and for 4.50 a slice I feel robbed.

What a terrible customer service. Fiance and I were at Rimrock tonight and decided to get food. We called this place at 1 am and midway through ordering, they told me I could not order anymore because they thought I was someone else (Scott) pretending on doing a prank call. I had to explain them three times over the phone that I was not Scott and all I was trying to do is get late night food. They did eventually let me order through and told me to come down in 30 minutes. As soon as I entered the place, the person asked me for my phone number to confirm my order. The person quickly told me that I was using a different number or phone. I told him I gave him the exact phone number used initially. The person would not believe until someone from the kitchen told him to let it go. What a crazy experience. This is the worst customer service I have received in my life.

The size of everything else varies based on who is working (and busy season or off season). They also don’t wear hair nets in the kitchen, which I am pretty sure is a health violation? Always loved to goto ardvarks since i lived in banff in the 2000's and everytime visiting brought nostalgia, but I don"t know if it was the cook this day or new managment but the food was bad. If I hadnt walked so far to eat it, I would have returned it on the first bite, stale and chinsey. The service was non chelaunt aswell. I ate there sept 8th 2021 for management purposes.

Tried to order delivery online through their app. We ordered at 6:10 pm, the app indicated eta 7:50 pm. It's Saturday and busy, we get it. At 8:10 still no food, called them, they indicate they "missed" our order? They indicate they will "fast track" our food, ok great. It's 8:45pm and we still don't have dinner. Call them again, delivery is in its way, got the food at 9pm. We check the food receipt, they printed it at 8:18, almost 10 minutes after our call where they learned they missed our order. We had requested for some disposable forks because it's our buddy's birthday, no forks, no napkins, pizza quality was alright. Very poorly managed business, too bad because the food wasn't bad.

I ordered 2 pizzas, dips, a hat as a gift and tipped 18%. After the transaction, the cashier reluctantly asked us to wait outside, even though we were wearing masks and abiding by the 2 person rule in the store. We sat in the cold for approximately 10 minutes before reentering the store. We were again the only customers, had our masks on, and let staff know we were waiting for our order. The “manager” informed us we had to go outside and we had to wait in the cold, even though we were the ONLY customers. I was wearing a black toque, my husband a grey hat. It was around midnight. Check your cameras. It was terribly unprofessional by your “manager”. The rest of your staff was great.

Just went to this establishment and being celiac the upgrade for a gluten free base was $7.37 for a 10” pizza. Absolutely criminal. Most expensive 10” pizza I’ve had at $18 + tax. not to mention is was a store bought base and wasn’t even cooked or taken off the tin pan it comes on.

Haven't eaten the food yet, we read all the online reviews thinking it would take 2 hours for delivery, and WOW. 29 minutes from placing our order, our good looking, friendly delivery from Quebec was at our door with a smile and a piping hot pizza. My boyfriend and I are very impressed with the level of professional hospitality and service.... we'll repost after we indulge!

Ordered a variety of subs, donairs, and wings with sodas; all excellent food and very reasonable pricing ( not easy to find in Banff), great service-actually excellent service. Small place but set up for eating at picnic tables outside which was great. Looked busy for takeout pizzas and such. Recommend and would go again.

From late delivery to outright swearing in my face, I have felt very threatened. The food is always cold and just today I was given the wrong pizza and there was hair in my poutine. Ordered food and called after 1hr 30mins to check on my status as nothing had been delivered yet. The person told me it was with their delivery driver and should be there very soon. I called again 1hr later as it still was not delivered (2hrs 30 mins after I put in my order) and they told me they forgot to put in the order.
