Lots of pretty flowers I'd never seen before, and tasty jellies.

Cristina Vasilenco

Magical, truly. If you come to the Annapolis Valley in the summer for only two sights, let it be a play at Ross Creek Centre and a stroll through Tangled Garden. Oh, and the preserves are to die for! Not to mention the ice cream, liqueurs...

Enjoyed a recent visit on the weekend and a craft fair was being hosted with a number of artisans. The weather was nice which contributed to a great experience. Ran into a very dear friend (Ramona) unexpectedly which added immensely to the morning. Not my first visit nor will it be my last.

Lisa Wright

This place is a delight for all of the senses! Interesting herbal jams and jellies. Be sure to tour the garden.

Save yourself a huge headache and plan your wedding else where. The people in charge of this establishment don't know if they are coming or going. Almost everything was last minute, forgotten, or ignored. Never again will I step foot in this increasingly run down business.

The jams and jellies are amazing. I'm not sure why they charge you an entry fee though. We walked around the property in the fall and it was beautiful. I bet it's even nicer in the spring.

With an 8$ admission fee, this garden just isn't worth the price. Any flowers that were worth seeing were overgrown by weeds. The ponds here are full of algae and look like they haven't had any upkeep in months. The teahouse was nice but it wasn't even open (which we were not informed of by the hostess). We were offered 5$ ice cream which sounded great however the amount is extremely little for 5$! Overall I had high expectations for this place but I was very let down. The 8$ fee is for upkeep but I don't think there has actually been any in weeks. I do not recommend coming here at all.

xueqi peng

Stunning gardens and retail shop! The samples were all delicious. Can't wait to be back!

Selina Mullin

Enchanting shop & splendid jellies & liquors. The gardens are one of the most beautiful & zen like places to explore.

I like everything about Tangled Garden and make a point of visiting the place, whenever I am in the area with family. I like the location, because it is easy to access, yet it feels like a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of hurried city living and just life in general. The best time to visit is during summer and fall, in my opinion, because the full beauty of the gardens can be enjoyed at their peak, though I have explored the grounds when they were covered with snow. I also find that product availability is higher inside the store during this time, and one can sample a broader range of their delicious offerings before making purchases. I have tried many of their food items, and none has disappointed me, but my own personal favourites are their rose honey and limoncello. The rose honey is excellent in Earl Grey tea, and the limoncello is better than any I found in Italy. A discount is given when any combination of 3 jams or honeys are bought together.

Fun place to explore for a morning! Recommend booking a picnic ahead of time (a week in advance is recommended, though I was able to call in on the day of). The biscuits, lemon curd, and jams were delicious. Went in early September and there were quite a few mosquitoes. Recommend putting on bug repellent beforehand!

We loved our visit to tangled garden! There was a wonderfully balance between mowed / pebbled paths and wild growing "tangled" gardens. There were lots of flowers still in bloom and enough veriety for something to be blooming at any time of the season. Were were enchanted by the Rill and Pond as the fish pond in the first garden looked like there were no fish in it but got to see them over at the other pond. We had a light lunch in the tea room and the specials were delicious, I can't wait to come back and try a "tea for two" with scones and clotted cream!

Josh Elliott

Tucked away on the side of the main road before you enter Wolfville, Tangled Garden is an unexpected oasis that offers delicious jams, jellies, condiments, and liqueurs. For a small fee ($5), you can tour the grounds, which will lead you into a magical and ever-changing world similar to “The Secret Garden”. The garden is ever-changing with the seasons (my favourite time to visit is in the spring and fall) and always offers up a stunning photo opportunity. If you have time, stop by for tea service outdoors and make sure to pick up a jam (or two!) on your way out. Their offerings also make for the perfect holiday gifts

Do you love gardening? Then go here. Honestly, it's beautiful and completely worth the entrance fee. Pick up some of their ice cream for the walk and bring some form of camera, you'll want to take a million pictures. You can see the love that's gone into making this place diverse. There's so many bumblebees, you can just feel the life in this place. On top of that, they have a little store full of liqueurs, jams, jellies, and even vinaigrettes that they make from the garden. It's a great little walk, set aside ~2 hours.

okjo kim

A heaven like place

The gardens are beautiful and worth seeing, as is the shop. We were all deeply disappointed by the teahouse, though. Our server was lovely, resourceful, and sweet, but she couldn't makes up for the shortcomings, so the rest of the experience was quite a letdown. So here's five stars for the amazing gardens and, sadly, one star for the teahouse. Hopefully it will improve over time.

I love The Tangled Garden! What a peaceful way to spend a little time, strolling through the gardens, finding secluded, shady little spots to rest. You can also walk the labyrinth while contemplating the beauty around you. There is a lttle cafe on site for a light lunch or maybe just a drink or an ice cream. Don't leave without sampling the jellies and liqueurs. They're delicious.

Our last stop of the day on our fabulous Winery Tour we took out of Halifax, NS last year while on our 3 month tour of wonderful Canada. The Tangled Garden. Beverly (holding the jar for us) started her herb garden 30 years ago and rocks! Awesome, overwhelming aromas in the tasting room, makes 65 organic jams and jellies and infused oils. Martha Stewart carries her products. Our guide Lila with years in the wine industry including with Gallo wines very knowledgable. Met Jennifer from Ontario here for Educational symposium, and Patty who moved from Alberta to Nova Scotia with her visiting mom. Great to have the time to share life experiences. Check out the labyrinth (not a maze) wind power abounds and to prevent road kills they cut back the trees and vegetation back from the roads so drivers can see and avoid killing animals. Awesome. As you can tell we are early and the buds just starting to come out. The gardens bloom all over with different colors. We picked up half a dozen of her mix of jams and jellies and souvenirs, but can only carry so many with us. Next time in this around we know where to stop to replenish our shelves.

Penny Gill

Glad I accepted the map this time around! There are so many little hidden gems. I highly recommend visiting multiple times a year to be able to appreciate the ever-changing landscape. Certainly a labour of love that depends on visitors to pay a small admission to be able to create and maintain this beautiful space.

Excellent products. Excellwnt service. Beautiful shop

Every time I go home this is always a must! The property is beautiful and looks like an old English garden! The product speaks for itself...and almost impossible to chose a favourite! Most importantly the staff are lovely...on my last visit home I wanted some Marmalade which they were out of but they searched high and low to find something similar...and they were packing up to go to a trade show and still made the effort. I’m proud to say they are from my home ❤️

Kyla Trites-Daniels

What a fab little gem this is. The gardens are beautiful, there are little bits of interest on the form of sculptures and water gestures and oh course the labyrinth! It is on a low level and the path leads you to the centre and out again. There is also a lovely little tea room on site too which used their own produce which they sell in the shop.

Craig Slaunwhite

Met with Jen to walk the property as a location for our wedding. Everything was great and we were very interested. Jen told us we would have a quote and details provided in a "few days". That was early September and we have heard nothing to date. We repeatedly emailed with no responses. I called and was very rudely informed that Jen doesn't work on site and to just email, even after explaining that emails get no reply. I can't understand the absolute terrible customer service when people are trying to spend nearly $10,000 at a business. Weddings have to be the majority of their revenue yet they don't seem to care. Their business management is an absolute disaster. I would leave negative stars if I could for them getting my Fiancée's hopes up.

Very interesting place! The jams and jellies and ice creams are great. The garden is good for a stroll in the summer but come late fall, it looks like its straight out of a Tim Burton's movie and in all honesty, I enjoyed the fall version a TON.

The Tangled Garden is a little bit of heaven just outside Wolfville, Nova Scotia. I've been enjoying their delightful products for years. But a visit to the garden itself presented a couple of wonderful surprises. First, there is a new teahouse that is absolutely worth a visit. It is run by Lisa, who is charming. Meeting her was one of the highlights of my trip to N.S. Another highlight is the yoga class that is offered every Friday at noon. I can't imagine a more beautiful place to practise yoga. The teacher, Jen, is excellent. She guided me though one of the best yoga experiences I've ever had. Go to Tangled Garden for their amazing jams, jellies and mustards....and DO treat yourself by taking advantage of the wonderful "extras" that the garden has to offer.

monique grelot

Unique experience.

I had high expectations for this place but was sadly disappointed. First, the property itself was in disarray; the grass hadn’t been cut in what looked like months, weeds were suffocating the minimal amounts of flowers, and vines and bushes hadn’t been trimmed at all so pathways were blocked, making it hard to get around. Since our $8 per person entry fee allegedly goes to upkeep we weren’t impressed at all. Second, the woman (I believe owner) at the receptionist desk was a bit rude. We had a baby with us and had come into the main building to buy ice cream and get out of the 30+ degree heat. She handed us the ice cream and then immediately said “you can sit outside” even though there were tables indoors and no other customers inside!! Poor customer service seemed to be a theme, since when we arrived she took our money and then left without one word of direction or guidance, leaving us to figure it out for ourselves. Again, I expected more considering the industry and entry price. Finally, I purchased a few jams ($12 each) because I like to support local. On my drive home I stopped at Pete’s and low and behold they had the same Tangled Garden’s jams for just $10 - never before have I paid more money for a product at its ‘home base.’ I had expected to love this place and return frequently, unfortunately the combo of things alongside the high prices for the worlds smallest ice cream and most unkept garden I’ve seen in a long time have led me and my party to decide we won’t be coming back or recommending it to friends.
