Great idea but when you pick all the plants it’s fairly expensive ????1thing I didn’t like charging for soil ????I get that everything costs money but we already purchased plants where charging for soil ????!Not necessary ????

Excellent service/knowledgeable Staff. Went to Salisbury to inquire about replacing a tree I lost in recent windstorm. The Staff were amazing...they asked very pertinent qualifying questions, provided a number of options for a replacement tree and provided us with a referral to a contractor to provide delivery and planting service. We visited their competitor earlier in the day and the Staff was unfamiliar with their tree species and what services they could provide! Salisbury's staff won our business today!

I love it here. Although I was very surprised and slightly bummed that they downgraded significantly on their product. Perhaps it's from covid and they will rebuild? I can only hope. But it's worth the visit. Reasonably priced and cleaner that another greenhouse I visited earlier in the day.

Large selection...BUT.... They need to fix how you lineup to PAY. I didnt notice they had a 8 inch by 12inch sign that's says ' line up here'... with some ANCIENT red tape that looks brown now and blends in with the floor..,so they decided to help the person behind..instead of me, since I've never been there before. Rude.

Salisbury Greenhouse is a wonderful place to spend an hour or so. Their stock is healthy and not overpriced. I and my family shop there often and I am always thankful that I am able to buy wonderful gifts that are are unusual and well made. I only wish they had a little Restaurant or Bistro attached. What a lovely place to go for lunch with friends and family!

I love this gift and garden centre!! The staff are friendly, helpful and there are a lot of them, which is good because the greenhouse is busy going into gardening season. The plants I have purchased here have always been healthy and the gift items have been well received by the people I gave them to. This is a nice destination to kill a gray winter afternoon in; you'll be cheered up by the foliage plants, get ideas for spring garden plans and there is a cafe with good food to nibble on.

This is such a wonderful place to visit and hang out for a while. The variety of plants, flowers and gardening items is absolutely amazing. The gift shop is full of delights, clothing, accessories, both personal and decorative. I always find it difficult to get out because there are so many beautiful things to look at and buy. It's worth the trip from Edmonton!

Gorgeous place. Some of the bonsai pots had no saucers at the bottom. They were beautiful but only the glazed ones had a saucer, so I left the rustic ones. Very little chance I'd find a matching saucer somewhere.

The prices were marked way too high and the plants were in better shape and priced lower at Greenland Garden Centre. Went to both places on the same day within an hour so prices were fresh in my head. Peonies were priced ridiculously for a small pot, even though it was an orange variety I wouldn't pay $79.99 for a plant barely established in a pot when you can get one the same for less than ½ the price in Sherwood Park. many trees were toppled over not standing upright, I counted at least 6 in one area. I was going to stand them up but thought maybe they have some odd reason for not, wasn't windy either. On a positive note, the staff was very helpful and friendly and establishment was clean with lots of space to practice social distancing.

Went to this greenhouse to take a look and see what sort of plants and green house accessories they have. Was pleased with the amount of different types of live plants on selection. They have a massive selection of decorative pots and decorations, some big some small made from different materials. They lacked in hydroponic equipment selection and other more commercial greenhouse products. During my visit there was a build your own terrarium which looked fun. The check out was pretty slow. Would recommend this location for people who want to setup a typical garden at home.

Similar to some other experiences, I’ve been struggling with the grow store. I placed an online order for curbside pickup on April 30th and have heard nothing back. I’ve tried to contact them multiple times via email and phone to no avail. All I want is a refund. I finally was able to speak to someone last week who said it would be processed and it still hasn’t.

Wickedly great place to go if you want to find all sorts of nursery plants that you can grow in the house or even for your greenhouse attachment. They have an amazing selection of succulents, tropicals and common plants. Currently they do have a massive selection of poinsettias as it is the Christmas time. Staff are always amazing, friendly and outgoing when in there. The place is well kept and well organized as well. Will continue to go here for any plant needs that I have.

I took a class here to make a Whoville Christmas Tree! It was Awesome!!! You literally have the entire greenhouse to pick the decorations for your tree and the teacher was great! Salisbury has been out go to greenhouse for well over a decade now. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and have wonderful suggestions for what would work best for our outdoor space. I was very impressed with this company’s level of professionalism and willingness to work around my busy schedule. I had planned on adding some very nice, extra features for my back yard. We had met with Jason and the plans that he drew up for us were exactly what we had wanted. We had some unforeseen events pop up and our budget was no longer available for the project. I contacted Jason with this news and he made an uncomfortable situation for me, comfortable. Jason drew up a new plan that both fit my new budget, yet maintain a beautiful yard (garden) for my family to enjoy. His crew were helpful and polite. One day my car would not start, one crew member actually gave me a boost! I would recommend Jason and his crew from Salisbury to anyone. I plan to finish my backyard with those extras and when I do, that’s the only people I will call.

Would not recommend. During a pandemic when pickup orders should be encouraged and prioritized, it seems Salisbury has not made a commitment to making this option feasible for their customers. Ordered a week ago, website and email receipt state I would receive a phone call within 3 days. On the 3rd day I called to see what the status was and was told staff had no way to check on orders. I've emailed and sent in the online "contact us" form submission and have not gotten any response on why my "1-3 day" order is still in limbo 7 days later (so much for "someone will contact you promptly by phone or email"). Do not use their grow store. I'll be shopping elsewhere going forward.

Love this greenhouse and gift store. Its as much an outing as a shopping experience. Besides the large variety of plants, you can find boutique clothing, wonderful home decor items and anything you could possibly need for gardening and yard decoration. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and there's always something on sale. They also have events and workshops. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 star rating is that they are not really inexpensive. I have found the prices just a little more than other places. But don't let that stop you from going. The experience is worth the trip.

Sailsbury is one of our favourite greenhouses. Staff are knowledgeable and always so friendly. They carry a good selection of miniature tropical plants for terrariums all year round and have a great selection of perennials and annuals for Edmonton's summer season. Well behaved dogs are welcome which is a perk when shopping as our pups come with us and get to meet other pups and humans and are always so excited. PSA: Everyone is Covid fatigued so please DO NOT take out your frustrations on the staff. Last year Sailsbury offered presale of hot house tomatoes and hanging baskets and possibly did not anticipate the interest it would drum up. We waited with many for over an hour as they sorted out their curbside pickup and short staff woes. Many waited with patience but there were quite a few who took their frustrations out on staff. As a result, this convenience is no longer available. Maybe it it was based on other reasons but I strongly feel it was due to all those unpleasant reactions and treatment of their staff. Be nice people..your bad day spoils it for the rest of us.

If there's one thing about this place to like it's the staff. Always busy working but will never flinch when it comes to helping a customer. Prices seem fair and a good selection of everything for outside. They've even helped us out once with quick delivery of gravel to finish up a small project. Trusted for all your plants needs! I've had several modes of communication, phone, email, and visited in person at Salisbury and they have always been knowledgeable and responsive. I called about a sick indoor plant and the lady (Kristy.. maybe) over the phone advised me quickly on next steps. Earlier this year I emailed about my sick tree and was given next steps and proactive measures to take next spring. I've also visited Salisbury and purchased many plants from them, along with fertilizer and much more and have always had a pleasant experience and wonderful plants. Highly recommend them for any tips, tricks, and to ensure your plants are in blooming and growing their best. If you haven't been to their greenhouse, I'd suggest stopping by.

Currently during covid, they limit the amount of people that enter at one time, they adhere to social distancing, provide hand sanitizer and disinfected carts, and the staff wear masks/face shields. I appreciate these actions that the business and staff are providing to their clients. The staff are helpful and kind. I feel relaxed while I am visiting. Great experience.

Really top notch customer service. Went to return a tree that didn't survive the winter, and right away Jared met us, helped take it out of our car, and arranged for the return as smoothly as possible. Then, with our store credit, we went to pick out a new tree, and that's when Carla met us and took the time to give expert advice about the tree that would be the best fit for our yard, then gave us some bonus education about maintaining it. And when someone like Carla tells you how much she loves her job nd the team there during the process, you know that the place has to be good.

Last night looking for shrubs/bushes 2 friends from Quebec and I visited for the first time the greenhouse. The 3 of us were impressed and we didn't have enough time to see everything. I saw there affordable quality clothes, furniture made by artists, original jewelry, farmers market and so many other items that it's too long to list. From now on it will be a regular place for me to go. Definitely a nice discovery. We are going back today...for the shrubs!

EXTREMELY NOT IMPRESSED! Showed up a few minutes before 5 PM on a holiday Monday because Google said they were open to 6 and there was nothing on their website to indicate they had different holiday hours. I was told at the gate that they were about to close, so they didn't even want me to come in. I asked to and said I wouldn't shop but I just wanted to check to see if they had stock on 1 thing as it was a long drive for me. A lady working there allowed me to and gave me directions to the spot I needed. I had to walk by a gentlemen who worked there and he gave me a hard time for being there even though I said I just wanted to check something quickly. I was maybe there for 2 minutes snapping a few quick photos to take home and help me research for what I needed when the same gentlemen who was rude and gave me attitude the first time shouted for me to leave. It was maybe 5:01 at that point and the staff were still working to move the carts in the yard where I was. I would also like to point out that I had just come from Greenland gift and garden (I went there first because their hours online accurately stated that they closed at 5) and the exact same plants (type, brand, and pot size) were $11(regular price) LESS than the price at Salisbury!!!!

Today was my first time going to Salisbury, and I was very impressed with the variety of plants they had, especially in the succulents section. I was so excited when I saw how much plants and they had ended up grabbing like ten pots of succulents. However, the reason I am only giving two stars is because of my experience with customer service. I am a friendly and polite person, and when someone treats me rudely, I become very offended, especially when it's at a store, and it was the staff who was rude to me. The first part was I was looking for a string of pearls, and so I looked for a nearby staff who was available. I finally saw one nearby, putting away carts, but the plants were between us so that I couldn’t walk over to her. So I politely yelled, excuse me several times and louder each time so that she can finally hear me. She kept walking, pretending not to listen to me, so I ran closer to her and still kept saying excuse me. She still pretended she wasn’t hearing me, and finally, I got very close to her and instead of saying, how may I help you? She just gave me an annoyed look. I asked her if she can help me find the string of pearls and so she turned on her radio and asked the staff if they had it, and the person said no. She then just looked at me with the same annoyed look and said No. She didn’t even bother to say sorry. We don’t have that item. It was just a straight No with an annoyed look. I moved on as I was still very excited to keep shopping, and I was looking at these small succulents, but the whole shelf had no price, so I politely asked this male Asian staff who was in the succulents section for the price. He also looked very annoyed and said it’s $4 and I thanked him, and he walked away didn’t even say you’re welcome. Now at this point, my mom was with me, and I told her, is it just me or is the staff acting very rudely. She told me they are probably just cranky because they are tired. So I moved on again and kept shopping but now feeling a bit upset because it has already happened twice. Then as we continued to shop, she saw this plant in the same area, but it was in the premade pots, and she only wanted that specific plant. So I take the pot and walk over to the same man and ask if he could please tell me if they still had this plant available. He gave me the same irritated face and said no, and I told him if there is any way to know when you guys will get this back. He said we get it random, so no, it’s just how it is. Again not even saying sorry they didn’t have that plant or rephrased it to unfortunately our plants come in different times, there’s just no way of knowing when that plant will come in. Then to make things even worst, he decided that he will move all 3 succulents shelf around the area, so instead of them being all together, they are now scattered around the succulents section, which made it harder to shop. I am very disappointed and offended by this experience as I felt like I had finally found my favourite plant store. Still, after having one of the worst customer services I have ever experienced, I don't know if I want to go back.

Attended the air plant garden class and was taken aback by the amount of information given, almost needed pen and paper to record it all! If attending these events plan to attend the entire allotted time as it does take that full time. We brought my terrarium with us but I'd suggest not bringing supplies unless you're sure what to bring.

Visited the greenhouse today and they had a nice selection of tropicals. When I went to the cash desk to pay, the nice staff member was tagging these huge airplants that caught my eye (I've never owned one). They told me they have more by the help desk in the middle and that the staff member there could answer any questions for me. When I went over to the help desk to ask the worker (young asian guy) there a couple of questions, he seemed annoyed and not willing to help. He barely made eye contact with me and seemed uninterested in anything I had to say. I would understand if it was busy but the greenhouse was dead. It was disappointing so I decided not to go ahead with the airplants. Like why are you working at a help desk when you don't want to be helpful?! Luckily the girl at the cashier desk was nice and helpful so my visit wasn't completely negative.

I bought some plants and a scrubber. When I got home and looked at my receipt I noticed that the sales person did not charge me for the scrubber. I went back to the greenhouse, I told the lady at the counter, she said "oh ok" and then charged me the $3.66 for it. I was alarmed that she did not say anything else, nothing like thank you for your honesty. I could have been like many others who would not have returned to pay for the item, but that is not who I am.

This review is for the Christmas Urn Workshop at Sherwood Park Location. I was very disappointed with the workshop, especially for the price. At the beginning of the class the instructor stated everyone would leave with something they like. Well that was not the case. Both myself and the individual I attended the workshop with were unhappy with our urns. I did see others leave with beautiful urns, however, these individuals received a lot of attention from the instructor. By the time the instructor got to us class time was up and it felt like she rather go home then have everyone leave with something they love. The website states the cost is $75-120. What I actually paid was $198! The basic materials the instructor used for the urn (pot, sand, branches, greenery) was about $95 alone. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Love love love this place!! Not sure why but I have a slight obsession with cacti now and I'm okay with it lol, I got a huge prickly pear cactus and a smaller one and so cute, they have an amazing and hugge variety of plants, trees, flowers and seeds I was sad though that they were all out of the hooks to hang up flower baskets but I mean it is summer, but if you are looking for anything for your garden or home this is the place , with covid happening if you go here just expect a bit of a wait in line to get in especially on weekends, but the line does move fast and definitely worth it you won't be able to find as much as they have anywhere else, so I would highly recommend checking this place out if you plan on doing so yard work and gardening!

Lots of gorgeous plants and flowers. Organized pretty well and a good amount of space to move around. Prices were pretty good on the plants and they had some sales on. The prices of the accessories and planters and stuff were pretty high but that's normal for most greenhouses. The product in that section was really nice though, so if you had the money you may buy some stuff anyways.

Do not waste your time and money attending a workshop. The class started late due to the number of no shows. The set up was terrible to the point that breakers were blown when everything was plugged in. Everyone was pushed into areas where social distancing was not considered. Obviously no testing ahead of the class. Supplies were very overpriced.

I bought a tropical plant when they were on sale and brought back thrips back home. The greenhouse knew about this infestation but they failed to inform me about it which has put all my other plants at risk. Now I have to use pesticide and do a lot of work to GE rid of those. One girl explained on her break that she works 10 hours and it doesn't seem like it as they have so much fun! Also take the time to get to know you! 5+++ stars. Salisbury Greenhouse is the ONLY place anyone should ever go to get their landscaping done. Last year I had them do a tiny patio and planting beside my tiny house. Not only did they do a STUNNING job, I almost fainted when they contacted me this year as a follow up and part of their Customer Service. Yes, I really said it, CUSTOMER SERVICE. Just when you thought it no longer existed, Salisbury Greenhouse offers FANTASTIC customer service - contacting me, replacing plants, seeding grass, moving electrical cords for pump, and topping off sand in between bricks. Jason STUBBS did a spectacular job of designing and selecting the plants, the installers were super friendly and worked ridiculously hard and were amazingly accommodating, the service people this year (from the person who emailed me, the person who came out to assess, the person who planted, and the person who finished off details) all wonderful, wonderful people. I cannot say enough good things. 5 stars just is not enough for this fantastic business

Placed an order for curbside pickup and was given a 15 minute time slot to pick up in. You are supposed to call when arriving to get your order and stay in your vehicle. Called at least 20 times and not one answer. Everyone is waiting outside for orders to be filled and the workers are no where to be found. Waited 50 minutes with no help. I am leaving and I will be requesting a refund. Save your time and go elsewhere. Very poorly organized.

Amazing selection of tropicals with some great mature plants, good pot and ornament selection also. BUT every plant I've bought in the past few months though has come with mealybugs, on everything from lush hanging baskets to tiny pre-bonsais. I know it's not always possible for a greenhouse to spot or even effectively treat mealybugs but...every single plant, though? All fifteen, twenty of them? My friend as well also has mealys on her plants bought from here. It makes it very difficult because the selection is tempting but at the same time if you have a huge plant collection it is quite a risk to introduce these. I certainly wouldn't buy anything that couldn't stand up to the many rounds of insecticide you may have to resort to to solve this problem. Be careful y'all!
