Helpful staff. A but over priced however. Bough some brackets to hang a shelf for $50. The same ones at another store were half the price. Also, Rona will not cut wood down to size for you. I would love to shop here since it is close to my house, but competitors are cheaper and offer additional services.

Wanted to purchase a dishwasher, the associate at the desk in appliances had her name tag covered so I don't know her name, she totally ignored me so I stepped out in front of her desk, she never looked at me once! Asked me what I wanted with a very sarcastic tone. I described what I was looking for, says I have to go to another computer, like I was imposing on her right to NOT look after a customer. Not once in the 15 minutes did she ever look at me. Public service is severely lacking at that store, and no one seems to give a hang.

Sold me an odd size off wood that I didn't know was odd. I skirted my porch with it and needed a couple more boards to finish up,so I went back to get more 5/4"x 4" x 6 or 8' they told me they had no more and it was an odd size that they don't usually carry and I can't get anymore. Now I'm tearing out the odd wood just to start over again! With the price of wood they should of told me about it instead of dumping it on me at great expense to me having to by wood and do the same project twice!

Terrible experience with staff. I went there first thing in the morning to buy a specific rare plant that I saw posted on a page. I looked and found the last one in the corner of the plant section with other plants that looked like they were dying on a workers dolly. I grabbed it and went to the tills to check out and the women from the plant section yelled out at me “excuse me... did you get that from the corner?!?” I said yes “well that’s mine” she literally took it out of my hands. I asked, will you be getting more in? “ I called the growers and no they won’t be sending more” wow!! Never again will I shop there after that experience!

Although the store is much too small and the lighting along the back wall is dim at the best of times, I have always been greeted and treated like a welcome friend. The staff at the help desk, checkout and yard are the best. When it is your turn, you have their undivided attention. They are all knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are pretty good too. This is always my first stop before I look elsewhere.

I have to give RONA a bad review after my experience with them over the past few months. You get a different answer depending on which location you call about ordering the exact same product in. You place an order online and they charge your card immediately, and I wait weeks (almost a month) only to have part of my order cancelled without any notice. Contact customer service and told too bad so sad. When we go to the store to pick-up the order that did go through part of it is lost. I submit a review for what we purchased and "it's not approved" - with no explanation. I can only guess it's because I pointed out some flaws (ie: inaccurate product description). Then I start receiving junk mail from RONA to my email - that I never signed up for. I go to use the unsubscribe link and there is no actual button to submit the form to unsubscribe me from marketing. This is an incredibly shady business no matter what area you're looking at, and I would not recommend dealing with them. There are way better hardware stores out there.

Service here really suck on person for the whole store I cant lift or 50 lbs so I asked for help but everyone was to busy talking.

waste a lot of time walking back and forth from front counter to order desk when there's a problem. they can't change the order, and cant add lumber at the front desk. I've wasted hours here. The staff is very very friendly and they are trying, can't figure out what's to blame. Limitations of the computer system. (no yard orders created at front even if it's just one board)

Was having a great day...until I tried Rona's curbside pickup. As a young trades-person I can honestly say I have never had such an unprofessional experience at any Rona location in 15 years. I will never purchase anything from Rona or Lowe's again solely based on my customer 'service' experience with Jim today. If I am using curbside pickup it means two things. 1. I paid already and 2. there's a reason I'm waiting 15 minutes outside for your oldest rudest employee to bring me a bag of grass seed and a rake. What it does not mean: 1. there is a need for face-to-face contact or 2. there is a reason for Jim (self-proclaimed manager) to treat customers extremely rude. I waited 15 minutes outside (phoned again after 10 minutes to see if there was a mistake, no apology) in my designated spot before someone came out (clearly not in a friendly, customer-service oriented mood) and demanded I roll down my window. The employee (Jim, claims to be a manager, refused to give last name) then threw his hands up and yelled at me that I need to phone him. Never mind the 3 year old child born with respiratory issues in my back seat. Never mind that I already paid for my goods. I called back to raise my concerns with someone in charge. Was put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on immediately afterwards. Guess who the 'manager' was after I called back again?... Jim. I may be just one customer, but I paid good money and was treated horribly for it. I may be just one customer, but i represent thousands of dollars over a life-time. Word spreads. People talk. no one supports businesses that treat their customers the way Jim at red deer's north rona treated me on april 24, 2020 at 4pm. Best of luck with the pandemic; nice to know you are taking health concerns seriously at a time when they need to most.

This used to be Totem and was purchased by Rona (like the rest of Totem stores). They retained the same workers and services (like free popcorn). Some items are more expensive than other stores but the staff are usually very helpful.

Do you enjoy paying for appliances and then not receiving them in any sort of timely fashion? Do you like doing all the problem solving yourself after paying for said appliance? Then this is the place for you....or you could go to Trail Appliances and get your purchase the same day. Rona has a third party delivery service for their appliances as they do not keep most of them stocked in store. The lack of communication between the two is unbelievable. I have never received such poor service in my entire adult life. My dishwasher never showed up on the scheduled day. The manager, while nice, did not make any effort to fix the issue in a timely manner nor did he take ownership for the error. I called a couple places and Trail Appliances price matched the same appliance for same day pick up.

Came all the way from Didsbury to get a piece for my furnace as it quit working and online hours said Rona was open till 10. Only to arr arrived and in fact it was only open till 9. The roads were bad it was blowing snow but one would assume that when the online says they're open till 10 they wouldn't box be open till 10 but they're not. So I'm very disappointed with Rona at this point in time they need to change their hours ASAP

Very impressed!! After trying to do the same thing with Home Depot in Red Deer - being transferred 4 times, on hold for 15 minutes and then getting disconnected... I know where I'm shopping!

Took me nearly 1 hour to get a quart of paint remixed that wasn't made properly the day before. I waiting in line at the paint counter and once I was the next person the lady left the counter. I assumed she would be back right away but than I seen her helping other people at the order counter. I finally got someone to help me and I had to argue with him that the paint wasn't mixed properly. Once he finally mixed a new can he showed me the difference and apologized but this is why I try to avoid dealing with Rona. I guess for now on I will drive across town even for something this simple.
