Would give a worse review if I could... I purchased a garage package in store with the help of two "building expert" representatives. I was assured my package met all my requirements based on "Rona's latest building code software" (later found out there is no such software), but shame on me for not going through every item in the package with a fine toothed comb: Trusses that were provided were wrong, wall sheathing material was wrong, soffit was wrong. I didn't notice until my hired help was almost done the project. Its a re-work S-Show now as the build does not conform to my permit. The store has left me hanging and wont return emails or phone calls. Makes it very hard to want to support this Canadian company. Be better.

This used to be my favourite store in the whole world, until I bought a shop vac.... apparently their return policy is the second you use something they won’t take it back. So this not even 2 month old very expensive shop vac that just stopped working out of nowhere is not their problem- I get to run all over the place trying to find someone to fix it for me all while I’m trying to rebuild my business. Great customer service Rona, I will never be buying any kind of equipment from here again due to your ridiculous return policy.

They tell you they have the product and sell it to you but you'll find out that isnt the case when you're picking it up from the yard. Call ahead and ask them to look at their yard

We appreciate your service and your store still being open to serve us. Kudos ???? BUT...., PLEASE reiterate protocols of self distancing with your employees at the lumber yard. Very careless, as they don’t wear any protective mask when talking to consumers and walking side by side with other employees with no distance in between and no mask. We are allowed to work if we observe proper protocols so as not be a source of Covid19 contamination, if these are so hard to follow, then stay home so you could save lives.

I don't usually post reviews, but this needed to be said. Greatest customer service I've had in these type of places. Every single worker there that saw me always asked if I needed help. They go above and beyond which made my shopping a lot easier. I highly recommend going to this RONA if you can.

Looking for help locating a flex connector for a toilet tank. Went to the service desk for assistance. It was like the young lady was doing me a favor by looking after me. I asked if there were any longer ones than the one I found. She said they should all be on the floor. I asked for help and she remarked that she would have to leave the desk. She did take to the correct isle. Normally service at Rona is great. Perhaps she was having a bad day or her shift was ending.

Tried to return a faulty tile saw. Wasn't even able to cut a single tile. Poor quality tool, but was refused a refund. Bought the saw on Friday returned with it next day. No refund on "used power tool". Even though the receipt says hassle free refunds. Was told I had to do an exchange. Was then presented with an obviously returned tool. After complaining to the manager who had a horrible attitude, I was still refused my refund, but was given a gift card instead of being forced to take an exchange. When it's clearly s inferior tool, a refund should be offered. Once I used the gift card amount, I will never spend another penny at Rona. Home depot will get all my business.

The paperwork process was a little long and for what it's worth, for the customers applying for a rona card, having a slightly more out of the way spot to do the application than the main counter would be more preferable. Otherwise friendly and knowledgeable. A better review of the invoice by both myself and salesperson would have helped prevent a small and very correctable error. That's on me too:) Otherwise good store, nice people. Watch the flyers for their strongest deals.

Young yard staff do not take social distancing precautions for the safety of clients or themselves. The yard attendant that served us today had his mask dangling around his neck, and was in my husbands face to collect papers and signatures. Smaller RONA was formerly a Totem location, so has the basics but not the full range of products you can get at the full Rona locations. You can, however, easily find staff and get friendly assistance almost immediately. Plus, fresh popcorn!

I had a wonderful experience at this Rona location. I've been to many home renovation stores in the past month as I'm currently doing renovations. Unless I'm looking at appliances, no one has offered to help at the other competitor stores. I was in the store for maybe 2 minutes when I was asked if I needed help, which I did. Kenard was very friendly and assisted me with everything from soundproofing to looking up tile quantities/stock. I wanted a sample and he explained the process to me and even went out of his way to mark the tile so I would remember the name and product number as there was no identifier on it. Highly recommend this location if you need any help with your renovation needs and ask for Kenard!

Terrible service! All this encouragement to shop online and then go pick it up? The Online Pick up line is 5 people deep with one old fella working it. Walk in customers have 3 old fellas looking after them. But they cant help online pick ups. Isn't that completely backwards with Covid in high season? The guy behind me said he asked for curb side pick up but couldnt get through on the phone once he arrived. He had to come in. Well done. Then my teller guy says 'next time just come in and buy it off the shelf, it's way faster'. Ya, no s$%!. Dont worry, I'll be avoiding your location for good. Go elsewhere. Use Amazon. A full service Extra service hardware superstore is a good thing. If you do your research you can find the prices on some products are substantially less. We purchase Siko brand paint to restore an old house . It is actually a well priced and quality product. This weekend is 25 percent off on bathroom products!!!!!

This place deserves 0 stars , NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES on power tool bought the same day , they sell defective tools and won’t return or exchange it basically tells you to go back to manufacture so they can repair it for you . The manager was rude and wouldn’t give us store credit when we couldn’t find another tool to exchange with , he wouldn’t give us store credit to use at another Rona because his words “ you will spend money at another Rona and not here “. What kind of business is this ? We had to buy other stuff not needed for over $265 because he wouldn’t return our money . I will be getting in touch with the head office regarding this . No wonder all Rona locations have closed Down it’s because of bad customer service and no knowledge and no experience of managers. STAY AWAY
