Lowe’s is so horrible to deal with for warranty and returns. Will never shop here again. Bought a $600+ microwave and the plate shattered and almost started a fire and they won’t even give me my money back for this horrible product they supplied me. I guess that’s why it wasn’t available at Home Depot cause they don’t sell garbage.

Slow and not one person asked me if I needed help standing in the BBQ section for over 30mins. Seems like corporate has the staff more worried about stock & paperwork then the actual customer. Work on the culture Lowe’s!!

Went in for a number of items. Was never approached by an employee in any department we were in. Saw at least a dozen employees standing around talking that were able to see us. More concerned about socializing with each other . Group of young employees in garden center were very loud and using language inappropriate for a public workplace. Chose to go here instead of Home Depot but will probably go there next time if this is the level of customer service I can expect

Canadian Auto Remarketing (CARS)

Very poor service here. Especially on the tills and costumer service. The attitude in this store is also very poor by most employees which is a direct reflection of the local Management. Judging by the low rating, I’m not the only one. Lowe’s head office should take a look into this store and improve the atmosphere. The Home Depot down the road is way better. I would try them instead.

I had the pleasure to meet Shelley the Department manager of plumbing last week when I was in the store to look at items for my bathroom renovation. Shelley approached me right away and offered her assistance. We discussed what it I am doing and Shelley brought up ideas that I had not even thought of. What I really like about Shelley is that she is very patient, knowledgeable and helpful. She was not in a hurry to stop helping me, she said she will spend as much time as I need with her. I want to thank Shelley for her excellent customer service, if there is a scale Shelley is a 10 out of 10. Thank you Shelley !

I came to Lowes to look at dishwashers and was met by an associate by the name of Shelley, the plumbing department manager. She asked me what she could help me with and I told her a dishwasher. Shelley said she does not know a lot about them but if it was okay with me she would do her best. Shelley took the time to find the answers and give me all the information I needed. I purchased a dishwasher and had it delivered. It is really nice to see that there are still people out there that know what good customer service is, and Shelley knows how to give good customer service. Thank you for hiring her and I will be back.

Not very knowledgable in hardware. Would not recomend going there if you need help. On Sunday I come into the store to buy landscaping fabric and a stapler. The lady that helped with the stapler went online to see what staples i needed. I asked her to show me so she gives me staples and i head home. Sunday evning I try to use stapler, the staples are wrong and the store is clsed. On Mon I go back to the store to get the right staples and ask customer service to get somebody to help me. The person who helps me knows nothing about staples. He finds the type my stapler takes and says these are them. I ask him to try them with my stapler AND they don't work!! I ask if there is somebody who knows something about staplers can help me. The other sales person left. Well can you call a manager? He phones the manager and the guy he is looking for is gone. Other person on the line is in the office and can't be bothered to come and help. I returned the stapler. Will go to another hardware store where people can assist. Many ppl standing around but nobody can help! Brutal customer service!!!

I was looking for a hose cart reel and it was not on the shelf but online it said there was 3. So I asked a staff member about it. She recruited a few other staff members and searched for it until they found it. They were so happy to help me. :) very friendly staff with positive attitudes.

Really, REALLY dissatisfied. Went to buy a wheelbarrow, showed in stock. 4 different people deferred me to 4 different places. And then, told they are stocked outside. I pay, I go outside and... Guess what.. NO STOCK. Cannot find it. Had to be refunded my money.. Called a second LOWE'S in Edmonton, that showed stock online.. They can't find it either. Went to Canadian Tire and bought what I needed.

Worst CUSTOMER SERVICE! Bought 3 appliances- samsung: fridge,oven and dishwasher. Supposed to be delivered 5 days after it was purchased but only to find out they cant deliver on that day as it was not on the list! Seriously??? We even phoned 3 days prior to to confirm and whether we could have it delivered a day prior to scheduled time but they can not accomodate short notice delivery changes. So, its ok. Told the staff, will wait till then. On delivery day, have to phone customer service as weve been waiting and no body called us. Only to find out they cant deliver on that day and have to reschedule it! It was very frustrating as we already parted out all our old appliances and we even skipped to work to facilitate this! Have to spend money to buy portable electric stove and big size cooler for our frozen foods. NEVER AGAIN and for those wanting to purchase and deliver, im advising you to look somewhere else!

Came here to look for a replacement appliance. Actually our second appliance purchase with them. They didn't have the best price on the item we wanted but after a couple of trips back and forth from the other home improvement store in town, we came back here because of the promotions they had. What really stood out however was the customer service we received when we went to go pay for the item. A special thank you to the assistant manager, Cody. He knows exactly how to make customers feel valued!

Went to buy a fridge water filter. An associate from plumbing tried to help(which i appreciate), but needed assistance from the associate in appliances. Appliance associate not helpful at all. Even though they sell the fridge i have he was not willing to look up what filter mine uses. He told me to go home and bring in the old one!!! I will not be returning, and will spread word of this useless waste of my time!

One of the item I was looking for was defective. According to their system, that’s had stocks in the store, but couldn’t locate them. The staff that was helping me knew I was in a hurry. He went above and beyond, even though it wasn’t the stores fault.

I have been going to this location off and on for 6 months and frankly it is one of the poorest run hardware stores I have been to. With exception of Brian, the manager, most of the staff are slow or incompotent for their departments, overly unknowledgeable. And happy to sell damaged product (special order I might add). I avoid this location and only go there when I am prepared for by exceedingly low standards of customer service to be dashed by yet another unqualified (albeit friendly) staff memeber.

I cannot even put into words exactly how terrible this experience has been dealing with the St Albert location. A week ago Saturday on May 2, we ordered patio tiles (with plenty in stock). We were told they would be available for Sunday pickup. On Sunday they said the patio stones couldn’t be found but that They would be available for pickup on Monday May 4th. My husband and brother in law both took the day off to install the tiles. We waited around and finally contacted your store asking what time we could pick up the stones. We were told there was a mistake and that they had been found the. delivered to the south Edmonton store and would be delivered to the St. Albert store for pickup Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around (keep in mind that we have two toddlers and a dog and a backyard grated and compacted that we are trying to keep levelled for our stone arrival) and we waited until the afternoon before we Contacted the store again and they looked up our order and we got another “whoops we didn’t get them sent here. So now the will be delivered free of charge to your driveway on Friday by 9am guaranteed”. Awesome. My husband took another day off work. Friday at 11 we call and ask where our 9am delivery is. This time we get a manager who denies we had a conversation about Friday delivery (meanwhile there were 3 of us here during that call) and we get no apologies but told they wouldn’t even arrive at the st ab store on Monday May 11 and wouldn’t be available to us until Wednesday May 13. The manager said “it’s just miscommunication”. Our yard hasn’t been useable since May 2. We have had no apologies. No compensation. And here sit waiting around for May 13 to see if our patio stones will arrive or if once again there will be a “miscommunication” and we will be waiting yet another 2 weeks. This has been a terrible experience.

I really have issues with how the nut & bolt section is packaged & priced things that should be in bulk bins as they are commonly used are packaged in small quantities and priced out of reality. Go to the competitor and look for an M8 or 1/4" bolt/ pan head screw in any length and decide for yourself.

I came into Lowe's for the first time last weekend met Shelley the Department Manager of plumbing. I needed some help finding the proper toilet. Shelley went above and beyond to help me make my decision. Who knew there was so much to know about a toilet. Shelley is a very knowledgeable person, very patient and really took her time to answer all my questions and point out other things I would not have thought of. When they chose Shelley for the Department Manager they made an excellent choice. I have since told many of my friends and relatives if they need anything is plumbing to go and see Shelley. Thank you Shelley for all your help and hopefully the management will see this and tell Shelley about this review, she deserves the recognition. I rate Shelley a 1o out of 10.

Trying to buy some appliances. Multiple delivery attempts only to discover damaged goods. 4 weeks now and still waiting for some of the items. We have a tenant moving in in days and we’re still not assured we’ll have our stuff in time. Lots of communication confusion between the installers, the supplier and the store. Not very impressed.

My husband bought me a $400 fire table for Mother’s Day. The second time we used it the tiles around it bubbled up and then shattered. We looked up Lowe’s return policy which said they take return/ exchanges and refunds within 90 days and you do not have to have the receipt . So we called the store and spoke with a nice lady. We explained we paid cash and she said no problem bring it back and it’ll be refunded so we loaded up our fire table and took it back to get a refund/ exchange only to be told that they actually will not take it back due to the fact we paid cash and they can’t prove that we actually purchased it. They tracked the transaction from the day we bought it and still would not do a refund for us so my husband loaded the table back up and brought it home. My husband called and spoke with the operations manager who was the most pompous rude person we have ever spoken with. He basically laughed in our faces and said that it’s our faults that we don’t have the receipt (which yes maybe it is) but his customer service was beyond disrespectful. His attitude was embarrassing and careless. About 20 minutes later the manager calls us back and asks if we had received airmiles on the purchase, we did, so he told us they can do the refund that way. My husband once again loaded up the fire table and took it back to Lowe’s. The manager issued the refund all while lecturing my husband about the stores policies. Thankful we received our refund but still shocked at the managers lack of customer service.

Been in here often since they opened - 1 out of every 5 staff members actually seem to care about their job. The difficulties cashing out and finding staff to help locate items has finally frustrated me enough to leave a review. I'll still continue to go to this location out of convenience. I really hope they work the bugs out for a smoother operation.

I love Lowe's. Its a good building center where I find what I'm looking for 99% of the time. I'm sad they did away with airmiles to "keep competitive" but to no surprise none of their prices came down, so now there is nothing that drives me there. The prices are pretty close to home Depot and HD is closer, so we will see.

Located in the same parking lot as costco , Tim Hortons, and shell . Before you leave st albert on highway 2 . I really enjoy this place , it's a huge building with tall ceilings , I think that gives off the feeling of stress free shopping . The staff in knowledgeable and has no issues helping you out . It's cool they have alot of stuff you can only find in America. That gives them a slight advantage over home depot .

Always the best prices, might even be better than home depot. They always have alaskin ice melt on sale. As a man who runs a snow removal company, this is great for me, $20 for 20KG. When you purchase 50 bags, the cost of each bag goes down $2ea. You do the math... OK I will. That's $100 in savings, so I buy once and I'm set for a couple seasons. I know the price has never been lower than $17 for that size

What a horrible experience. Stay far away. Went to get blinds for our house. Every step of the way was frought with errors and delays. When we picked up our blinds after canceling their installer (waited over a week and no call to book) we picked up the blinds to install myself. Only to find they hadn't even trimmed them yet. Even the manager didnt care about the mess we had to out up with. His comment, "Well, at least you got your blinds". Stay FAR away.

My husband and I were in Lowe’s today looking for lattice. Turns out they moved all their lattice to the garden centre. Knowing there was a long line up to get into the garden centre, I got worried. Not for us! Marshal (an employee) escorted us into the garden centre to get our lattice and then back into the store. He was so very helpful.and pleasant. Well done Marshal! Thank you for your help.

My partner and I showed up with our parents to purchase treated plywood for our cow loading shoot at our farm. The staff that greeted us and helped us find what we were looking for were very nice. As my partner and I was loading the plywood on the cart we then made our way to the front, I parked the cart close to the cash and told the cashier there were still more things we needed so we would go get them . Our parents were in the store finding weather stripping for there front door. My partner went and found hooks that we needed.to hang lights at home. I stayed closer to the cart and was looking at power tools. My partner then found me and I walked over to the drywall as I was pricing for Reno's at our house leaving my partner in the power tool section. I then here someone rasing there voice in the aisle my partner was in , I turn around and head back. My partner was being escorted out of the store by the manager his name in Brent( actually the assistant manager as i have found out all ready to make a complaint to head office). He was told to put his items down and leave the store , I approached and asked what is the problem here, the manager said to me, "oh your with him, you can get out of my store to.". I asked while he is walking us out of the store can I see a manager , he said " I am the manager." I then said , " I would like to know why you are kicking us out the store. ," He said, " I am the manager and I can tell whoever I want to get out of my store. " I said well "what's the reason. "He then said,. " I will call the police if you don't leave the store.". This all happened in about two min from loading the cart with plywood. My partner climbed into the truck and I said ," this is not right, I'll be back" I went back in the front door where our parents finally made it to the cashier not knowing what happened. The manager was there still behind them not knowing and I said," we were here with our parents , our dad had a hip replacement years ago and we were there to help them and purchase things as well.". As I looked around quickly all the staff turned there heads towards the manager in a way that they were very embarasssd of his actions.i walked out . Then walked back in again the manager was pretty much hiding in the background and I said , " are you going to have someone help them out the store." He said it quietly I will get someone to bring it out. That was it for me. I wish I would of told him to call the police , Brent the asst.manager should not be in this position if this is how he treats his customers. Here's the way we see it. He thought my partner was stealing. For one my partner had the items in his hands and as well he did not even ask us to empty our pockets or anything. We were all wearing mask. They purchased $300 of stuff they lost our sales because of his actions and I believe they will never get any of our family's business again including all relatives. Our dad has a handicap card because of his hip replacement and surgery a years ago. Again I wish I got him to call the police because this would of all blown up in his face and I think he would of got charged for harassment towards us . I will be contacting the CEO of Lowe's and requesting to two apologies and the reason he did what he did. #1 my partner and I a phone call or letter for the reason and with an apology for his actions #2 to our parents making them feel uncomfortable in there store. I hope lots of people read this, and hope no one experience this ever again anywhere they shop. Poor management

Lowe's has most of what your looking for. Big downer is the returns are only accepted with a receipt and is not kept on file with your payment card. I have been stuck with quite a few oops items and it's a big downer. I generally avoid Lowe's

Called the store and they said they would honor the quantity of the item I wanted. Only to realize after 45 mins of driving they won't and gave me partial quantities whereas other Lowe's stores did. The store manager wasn't helpful at all. Also, where is the damn courtesy to call the customer back and tell them you can't honor the quantity when you initially did on the phone. Don't use excuses that a new employee was at customer service. First get them trained.!! Not returning.

Prices ate competitive. Bought taps in middle of May snd recieved 2 $25.00 gift cards. The fellow who gave them to me neglected to tell me they expired in a week. I was in a hurry and put them in my wallet. When i went to use them i was surprised to find out they were expired.

The staff here is so helpful! Every visit, I am greeted by at least two associates and asked if I need any help. When I do need help, they are knowledgeable and friendly. I am always impressed whenever I visit this location. Good job!

Instead of helping us load our truck, the guys just sat there on a forklift waiting and staring. I found that rude, and poor customer relations. We got more help from another customer than we got from the employees. The biggest joke was we thought we'd by a cordless skill saw, however it doesn't come with a battery so $200.00 for the saw and another $200.00 for batteries... wow!! So very disappointing

Falsely advertised thermostats that work with baseboard heaters. I purchased and had them installed only to find out the thermostats weren't designed for baseboard heaters. When I talked to them about it they dismissed my complaint even with an electrician confirm what I said.

I went to the store to buy a kitchen sink and faucet. Found what I wanted, and picked the faucet box off the shelf. I needed someone to pull the sink off of a high rack. There are two other people around me looking for help too. I went to customer service desk and placed the faucet box on the counter. I Waited and waited for service. No one to be found in the back 3/4 of the store.I was completely ignored in the front. Made it painfully obvious that i needed assistance. Ended up walikg out..If there was a zero stars option.....

just don't buy your plants here ,they say that they come with a one year warranty but when you go to the store they claim that they can't exchange them if you don't have the receipt ,even if the plants have the lowe's sticker and bar code on them..

1 star is too many. Terrible customer service. Overheard 2 groups of staff complaining about how terrible it is to work there. Couldn't find anything. Poor organization. No price labels or incorrect labels. Hard to find anyone to ask for help and when I did they didnt know where stuff was, or they were so busy gossiping that they didnt pay attention to me. You couldn't pay me to go back here to shop.

Would be a decent store if they had any employees that had any background in customer service. The self checkouts were closed and they had no tills open yet there were 6 employees in the customer service area socializing with each other.

He told me he wouldn’t be in when I came but directed me to ask for Sam, another manager who also provided great and fast service. Super easy and fast, very happy with the new store. Friendly staff, helpful when you seek them out. They were a little understaffed at the checkouts when I was there last. Good location, good parking, carts were where they needed to be, not strewn all over the parking lot. They had some lawn supplies that other stores didn't. Less busy than Edmonton locations.

Ordered on line. When they said it was ready I had to wait 2 days before picking it up. When I arrived the sign said "order and pick up in 2 hours." The box was right beside the entrance, no need to wait in line. Why the 2 day wait. I placed another order on line for delivery and received it faster. Definitely not impressed with the service.

Lowe's in St. Albert is a nice clean store. They have many different sections for eg. Electrical, paint, and lighting section. They also sell appliances. Friends staff, but something hard to find a staff for help. It's a lot like a home Depot.
