I'm a contractor and I've make daily trips to hardware stores, this was by far the worst service I have ever gotten in a store. The manager was insanely rude, they weren't willing to work with me to figure out a solution. They sold me a kitchen cabinets set. When I purchased it I made sure to check stock to ensure they had it in stock. When it was delivered the upper corner cabinet didn't come in. I went into the store and they said it should be in by next shipment so patiently waited. Came back to the store after the shipment was received cabinets still not in and now the manager is also showing me attitude. Will never be returning to this location.

If unsure exactly what it is you need to do a DIY project - spend the extra time doing the proper research. In a store as big as this, with that many products (especially the power tools and speciality tools) you would think you would be able to turn one way or another and find an employee to assist you, right? No, you would be incorrect. You could walk from one end of the store to the other and back again and you'd be lucky find one or two employees and those two employees will be unable to help you because the product you need information on or help with is not located in the department that they are stationed at. So good luck, and again I would highly recommend doing research if you're unsure of what you're buying or needing for a project.

A vessel without a captain, and most of the crew has abandoned ship. I feel very sad to see this once proud and thriving business going down the tubes. I think Lowes now owns Rona, and I'm thinking it is by design. I doubt they'll be around much longer.

I was ready to spend $5000 for our fence package, but Zeb in customer service was resistant to help us by refusing to deliver. He suggested we rent one of their vans to transport a pallet of concrete and 16 foot pieces of lumber. Get real! I took my business elsewhere. I've never had such poor customer service.

Went in there with my mom so she can get a plumbing part to fix her sink and a heating element for her stove. The lady seemed like she didn't want to help us, but brought us to the department and told us to come back when a certain employee was available because apparently they don't know anything. Walked around and wasted some time, we go back and the one older lady said he still wasn't back, brushed us off and went back to pricing items. Because again, she apparently didn't know anything. Walked around again, came back and the man they were referring to was finally available. He tried to help but unfortunately he said to just call a plumber to fix it. My mom asked him about the heating element for her stove and if it was the right one which she had a picture of her old broken one with her. He said he didn't know. Go figure. We go to back to the heating elements and another employee was there. My mom asked him if he was in charge of this section and he said yes. My mom asked the same question and tried to show him the picture and he didn't even look at it and said they didn't have the right one. Apparently you don't need to know anything to work at Rona. Completely ridiculous and a waste of time.

Worst customer service ever. Went in yesterday to purchase a new patio furniture set and ended up having to get it from the top shelf of their racking system myself. Was there for over an hour and had asked for help twice which never came. The people behind the Customer Service desk seemed very put out that I needed help to purchase this item. I suggest that you stay away from this store and go somewhere else where the staff want to help you and do the job they are being paid to do.

Rona brand is losing public appeal. Customer service is nil. The only ones who tried to help are the ones in training, but obviously they dont know everything. The experienced ones do not want to make eye contact and even if they do they are grumpy. Don't expect any help from the people here. Find your stuff online and order it.

I find what I need myself there is no one in the store to help you . Plus cashiers just stand there and you have to find someone who will sell you the product. Few cashiers were just talking to each other but won't help and won't greet you or say thank. Just saying if you come across this be patient.

I love the staff here. And I love the fact that I can bring my dig inside the store to shop with me and all the staff love him. A few months ago, I dropped and kicked my FOB for my car in the 1st aisle, 2nd row but didn't realize it. After searching the store for it for 1.5 hours I decided to leave my business card at Customer Service with Juliette and asked her to call me if someone turns it in. So I get in my employees truck who came to get me and we are just pulling out of the Contractors parking lot. Juliette comes running out with my FOB! I will always be thankful when I see her. Also, Karen in Kitchen and Bath is a absolute pleasure to work with, she is knowledge, she will offer recommendations of which product to buy and why plus she gets staff to help lickety split! I really have not had a bad experience here over the last 6 months getting my supplies here for my big remo in this area.

Worst customer service ever. I waited in the isle for 15 mins after they paged someone because the guy I asked a question had no idea. So I tried to find someone else and NO ONE was to be found. I went to customer service and the guy said he would page someone again and I asked him if he could help me. He said no. All I needed was picture hangers and I couldn't find them. I left and will never ever return to this location. Worst people ever!

I went to Rona a couple weeks ago and purchased a few plants and was looking for cedar trees. When I got up to the Garden center cashier I was greeted by Susan. I politely asked how much do cedar trees cost out front asUas there wereawere notno cedarpcedar trees inside the garden centre. I understand that we are in a middle of a pandemic but if I went to Rona before and I asked how much cedar trees are normally somebody would go and get me a price or ask me how many trees I would like to purchase. Well that wasn't the case, I was told I have to go and stand outside in a lineup that's in front of the garden and around the corner when I was already at the cashier and already inside and ready to go but there weren't cedar trees inside the garden centre they were only outside I didn't see them because when I came in I didn't have to line up. She was very rude about it told me I had to go stand in line again. I said to her I said here's a suggestion maybe have a couple selections of the cedar trees inside the garden centre so that people who don't know that they're not in the garden centre don't have to stand in line again and come back inside the store. there was also another employee standing at the entrance of the garden centre who could have went and grabbed a tag from one of the trees to ring it up. I told her I didn't have another hour to stand in line and wait so I went somewhere else and purchase cedar trees. but the kicker is when she handed me my receipt she told me that I should be lucky that they are even open for me to buy my plants. I understand we're in the middle of a pandemic but it's no way to treat customers rudely and to not even offer any customer service whatsoever other than telling me how lucky I am that they're even open. I will never be stepping foot into the sunridge Rona ever again.

Let’s put it this way, it’s one of the most disorganized Rona store I have ever been to. I don’t think anyone cares when you go shopping ???? out there. Not even a single person asked if we needed anything. It’s not that you would expect but usually when you walk in to a hardware store of that size you get to see a few people offering help coz they have too many products but not here :( Not a good experience at all :(

Excellent store! The staff is really helpful especially their customer service desk. They are very helpful and knowledgeable! I would recommend this store and location! I had a bathroom tile job and was able to quickly collect all the materials I needed for a professional job with the help of their amazing floor staff!

On May 26 7:25 PM waited 40 minutes after ringing the bell(Twice) at the lumber cutting station but nobody showed up. Got hold of an employee named "ABAY" he said he'll get hold "Mr.SUN"(Lumber/wood cutting expert) but Mr.Sun never showed up .Finally went to customer service and asked them to get me the manager or whoever was in charge So the short Filipina girl paged Dave (manager or in charge) he decided not to show up either(Although he was roaming around pretending to be busy)..I left after waiting for another 10/15 minutes! Worst managed store in Calgary! P S: You can tell from how much they care about their customers from the fact that they don't care about the reviews negative or positive or resolving the the problems/complaints.

I went to this Ne sundridge store this location is way better than one in se ..in terms of customer service. I asked help with one lady over there and I was directed to a gentleman in plumbing section named LEN. He was so helpful and listened my query with lots of patience and answered all my questions and helped me to find the right items to fix my problem in plumbing. Went here to buy black-out blinds for my children's room. When I went to get them cut to the proper size there was only one lady in the entire paint and blinds department. I understand the economy is slow right now, so we waited about 15 minutes for her to come cut the blinds. She looked at the blinds and said they cannot cut them in store and we should just take them home and use scissors! These blinds were $100 and we needed two, so we said no, as on the box is clearly states the blinds are able to be cut to size. We did not buy them and went over to home depot, we found the exact same blinds for $15 cheaper and the gentlemen there cut them no problem and said we should never cut blinds with scissors and said it was crazy how someone would even suggest it.

I was looking to buy some 12' carpet from the rolls at this Rona.....and a hardware store this size has not one employee who can cut a piece of carpet...service associate was indifferent and no help what so ever... watched as she stood talking to another employee for the longest time laughing and chatting. Don't waste your time going to Rona...especially this one... it is a joke how bad at customer service they are...Home Depot is a better option.

Worst service ever. Cashier judges you for collecting air miles. Served by this Marilyn lady who is discriminating and rude. All we asked was if we can get the 4x air miles as we spent over $150. It was shown on the flyer that if you spent over $100, you are eligible to get 4x air miles. She refused to put the code in to the computer. Then she said its too late because she has already input all the items, also she made us wrap out the flyer where it says 4x air miles. Then told us that it must be wrapped out prior to any item entry. But it was a promotion that is on the front of the flyer. It is not a freaking coupon.

Dear Rona and Manager Mark, With all do respect, I had a very bad experience shopping here specifically the paint department. Why? Well I don't know if your paint dept. employees are trying to get fired or are frustrated and under staffed. I have bought a 5 gallon paint and requested Rona brand. However I was given Sico brand and only realized this at the checkout. But I still paid the price difference because it is a better brand and thought it to be an honest and perhaps good mistake. I then bought another 1 gallon bucket. I repeatedly said it was for walls, drywalls etc... requested semigloss paint. But instead I received a gallon of paint that is of high gloss. Only realized this after the initial coat and now have half a gallon of useless paint. Would you like your paint back Rona? Not only this, the bucket turned out to be ruptured at the bottom. It could have been my mistake but it has left stains on my carpet. I tried to request store credit but was turned down. So for fellow shoppers and DIY'ers I would recommend another store for your paint needs. Or at least walk in with working knowledge of paint and brands. Hopefully things will improve with better, friendlier staff and I specifically target the this last sentence at the mid aged, paint female staff member at Rona.

Terrible experience, 10:30am a few weeks ago, went to yard with truck for material I paid for inside. Waited at gate for 10-15 min, no one was at guard shack. I proceeded to walk in and walk my purchase of 30 (2x4) to my truck on outside of gate. Once i finished. I waited 5-10 min more for someone to show up and verify my purchase. Around 11am two individuals strolled up to guard desk. One guy walked right by me and into shack, the other, I showed receipt too, He glanced at it, handed it back...........The END. I deal with RONA southland and Mcloud tr. Way better service.

I visit at least 2 to 3 times this location as a Landscaping and home renovation enthusiasts but I rarely get customer service. Most of the time there are no staffs to assist you. Even you get staffs they treat you like it costs money to them. So, now I became permanent customer of Lowe’s and Home Depot.

Thanks for rona nice erhics. I parked at the designated lane with yellow lines aside and a pallet of soli was nearby. No signs that "no parking" was around whatsoever. The forklift operator put a another pallet just behind my car to block me and to teach me not to stand on his way. Apparently he came from another country where this customer treatment us fully acceptable. Thank you Rona for excellent training of your employees. Terrible service today from Lois and the store manager. I didn’t catch his name. This place has really gone down hill since Ziggy left. He was all about customer service. New management and most of staff aren’t out to help anyone. Hopefully Lois was just having a bad day, but I doubt it.

Needed to get keys cut. Asked a staff member if they could get someone to help, as no one was around the key cut area, which is fine, but I ended up asking a second time and another customer waiting as well went to ask when still no one came. Someone finally came over and they were very pleasant and helpful. There was a huge line at the register, but only one was open. I'd say that they probably need more staff on hand at this location.

I will never buy again from RONA . They sell dollar stor quality product and hey don't tell you that the product is final sell. I both a shower accessory for $89. As I wanted to install it find out the pvc hose was painted to look like stainless steel. As I wanted to return it they told me it was a final sales.Because they gave me 45% discount without telling me that in order to make it final sales. So leave the product as gift to RONA and remider to me . NEVER BUY AGAIN FROM RONA.

I was using the curbside pickup and had purchased some boxes and packing tape. When the employee came out all he had was the tape and had said everything was there. When I asked him where my boxes were he said all the items were in the bag. I'm just a little disappointed he didn't check the items first before he brought them out.

It's getting harder and harder to find knowledgeable people on the floor. Often out of stock. Sometimes I feel that they don't carry the essentials. In the yard, lumber is exposed to the elements which is not good for me. edit: You just lost a 400$ roxul insulation transaction for the customer service that's just rotten. The worst store ever I have visited... Employees have no time to wish or thank you for being there. Everyone looks busy for nothing. I've been to appliance section and waited for more than an hour. I requested an employee for assistance, he mentioned that he was done for the day and the next person would help us. The second person didn't show for a while and as soon as he came ingin, he got busy with some customer who came after us and didn't even bother to say that he would come help us in that hour time. At last, I dropped my plan to buy an appliance and tried to check out after buying a small item. The cashier had no time to say Hi at least and no reply to even my "thank you, have a good day". Would never return to that store.

Terrible customer service. Staffs are not helpful at all. It’s difficult to find staffs to ask questions sometimes. Rona management should visit Home Depot to find out what customer service should feel like. My friend is also renovating and he had the same experience in this location. Management really needs to look into the service their staffs are providing otherwise they will keep losing their clients. My cashier was Kanchan and she needs to learn to greet customers. I think service actually trickles down from the top and therefore the store managers needs to be trained well first on quality customer service.

Very convenient location and reasonable price. Most of the time they have amazing offer for floor model appliances. But some of the items are pricy compare to Home Depot & Lowes. Stood at the counter to get some paint and as usual waited at least 15 minutes. Not one service person was anywhere to be seen. Does anyone work there? Finally I picks up their own store phone there on the counter and dialled for the help desk. I ask to get some help at the paint department "customer impatiently waiting". Over the intercom I hear customer waiting at the paint department. 2 or 3 minutes later help arrives and she seems annoyed I am interrupting her smoke break or something. This store really needs to change their thinking. Customers need assistance, look around and help people.

I went in yesterday to pick up some grass seeds. I was in the Indoor plant area, where I found a really cute succulent on discount. When I went up to the counter, it rang in over double its advertised sale price. The cashier told me to go and take a picture of the tag for him. First, I hesitated, thinking that's his job. Then I thought, he should come with me since there is nobody in line behind me. Anyways, I ran and got few pictures and came back to show him but he still kept arguing about it being 'wrong'. I pointed out 3 other exact same plants right next to the advertised clearance tag. I even showed him the description on the sale tag and the item tag. They matched. I could tell he was getting frustrated (even though I did part of his job and all he could do stand behind the counter and deny the obvious). Then he called a manager, and the ignorant manager didn't even bother making eye contact with me and said he will not override the price on the system and just walked away. Well...on a positive note, at least he showed up! I will not be going here for my landscaping project and other needs. Waste of time and energy.

Decided to buy an outdoor sectional for my birthday. Ordered online to pick up in store (there were 4 in stock when I ordered). I expected a wait time so I waited for an email saying it was going to be ready to pick up. 2 weeks go by and they sold off all their stock and cancelled my order at the 2 week mark. I asked the Cashier( her name is Raj) to do a price match with Canadian tire. From the facial expression I got the feeling that she don't want to do that. She sent me to customer service deck to get the print out of the sale price. Once the customer service guy asked her to changed the price,she came back to me and said its a final sale. When I asked the reason she said its because they are lowering the price. What a joke ????. I went back to customer service again and they said she is giving the wrong information. I am not sure why Rona is keeping a employee like her with no customer service skills and giving wrong information to customers.

Well stocked, organized and has more helping hands on the floor than other similar stories which is great. There was no line-up to get in at the time I went in which is a plus these days. Also, I noticed some items cheaper than at other stores (ex. Small blue propane cans, mower tractor motor oil, ... Almost by 10%) My experience using the washrooms by the garden center was quite interesting though. After flushing the toilet backed up. There was a plunger next to the toilet seat which was convenient but also shows that the store was aware of this problem. I went to wash my hands and the faucet cold tap hand was laying on the sink beside the faucet and the hot tap had no water. I used another skink which worked but the whole faucet was quite loose. Kinda funny because everything they need to fix it is right there on the shelves outside.

I ordered some Trex decking online from the RONA.CA website and received an email confirmation saying my order was ready for pickup. The next day, I hooked up my trailer and went to the store. Once I received my paperwork at customer service, I drove to the yard and handed the papers to the man at the gate. He told me the product was at the end of the yard somewhere, but didn't really know. I maneuvered through the narrow lanes with my truck and trailer and could not find my order. I drove back to the find the guy and then he came with me to try and find it. He couldn't find it but I saw a mixed up bundle of Trex on an upper rack that I thought might be it. He brought the product down and my product was there but there were obvious damages so I had to pick through what was there. I wasted over an hour of my time to get a few pieces of decking that was supposed to be ready for pickup! Inside the store I needed some deck clips and encountered an older fellow near the flooring. He was a bitter man and did not help me very much. This man shouldn't be working with customers. The only good service I received on my visit was from the overworked girls at customer service. They were trying very hard to deal with the lineup at customer service. I will not go back to this store unless I am absolutely desperate.

Merchandise actually in stock, lots of options and pricing in all departments, friendly customer service, welcoming atmosphere, and overall pleasant experience; makes this location the best amongst them all. Really wish their stores in the south didn’t close, but atleast I still have the Sundridge location!! I’ll come all the way to the NE from SW Shawnessy, over going to the Home Depot near me, so to have a pleasant shopping experience. That’s how good this store is!! Went to Rona on 26th and 32st NE looking for a fence to put up this summer. Mr. Dale H to help me with the product l needed. First, he looked very reluctant to even help. When he finally came, he was sarcastic in saying l don't know when l asked him about the pieces that came with the displayed fence. It took him about 15 good minuets to find the price of the other pieces. When I wanted more information about the product, he just walked away to the front desk knowing very well l had been there for a while. Overall, his whole attitude was, l'm at a desk job and don't need to be bothered. I took off and went to Lowes and got everything l needed with very friendly staff very willing and eager to help you. Customer service was 11 out of 10 tonight! Went in with a discontinued set of holiday lights bought last year that had a defective plug and one of the staff who is also an electrician, Gord, repaired it for me within a few minutes. The store wasn’t busy, and I wouldn’t expect this kind of help the next time I shopped here, but after a long and frustrating evening searching for a replacement set of lights, the extra help to get my lights working is very much appreciated.

I was shopping at the Sunridge location this evening and while I appreciate the amount of staff on the floor to ask questions to, I was quite bothered by the fact that every person I’ve talked to either had no idea what the answer was (and didn’t bother to find out), gave me incorrect information or wanted nothing to do with me, one even went as far as walking away WHILE I was still speaking to him! Well everyone except Charles that is. Charles actually approached me and asked if I needed help! I was both surprised and happy that finally someone is giving me the customer service I required. His customer service was so outstanding and excellent that I feel it should not go unnoticed. He’s a real gem and was super friendly, helpful and patient with each and every inquiry I had. I am so thankful for his expertise and suburb knowledge of products and services. He went above and beyond for me today, to the point where I will return to this location again and again, even after I told myself I wouldn’t due to the lack of customer service represented by the previous staff members I had a run in with. Charles was absolutely amazing and he made my experience at Sunridge Rona unforgettable. Thank you!

Although I’m able to find most of what I’m looking for on my own, most of the customer service isn’t the greatest. My last visit, I wait patiently for the service desk to finish a phone call with a customer; he ended the call and just walked away from me. I wasn’t standing there for my own enjoyment. This is after making calls to the store to just inquire about a product and being bounced around departments, only to be hung up on. Luckily I was just in the area to just look myself. Extremely poor service. I asked them to put two items fon hold or me via phone. Just before I went to pick them up, I called them to confirm the items are still on hold. Their staff member, Sonia, asked me to call later. When I called for the 2nd time, she asked for my phone number, saying she would call back shortly. She didn't call in 20 minutes and so I called for the 3rd time. She said she lost my phone number, and she promised to call back in 20 minutes. Again she didn't call. Joe the department manger was so rude. He has no customer service skills and should not be a manager. There's a reason why home depot is always a lot busier than Rona. Rona floor staff pretend they don't see you and when you ask for help, they don't have the knowledge. There's plenty of great hardware stores in the NE, so save yourself some sanity and avoid this place.

Proudly Canadian eh? The Northeast Rona near the Peter Lougheed Hospital is probably not a good to place for you to go shopping unless you know exactly what you want and where in the store it is located. If you don't and you must go to this Rona, make sure and take some anti-stress pills first. The staff that helped (I use that word loosely) me didn't have a clue. I would think upper management would train their staff about the products Rona has, or at least tell their employees to just say...duh, I'm not sure, eh - if they don't know the answer to a customer's question instead of misleading the customer. On the bright side, I did get lots of extra walking in today before I realized I was being given bad directions. Dear Northeast Rona, you didn't make this Canadian proud of you.

Not a happy experience! Shelves unorganized. Staff complains night shift is not organizing so can find items. Plumbing as simple as a shut off valve 1/4". Samples are missing and so are lots of the labels... Had to finally make a trip to Lowe's and get it. Such simple things ruin reputation!

I checked-out Rona's website for the items we want to buy before we went to this store since it's quite a drive away. Their website said that they have all the items we want in large quantities. When we got there not only didn't they have the items we were going to buy but nobody seems to want to help us find-out where the items are either. One of the worst run stores I’ve been to, and I frequent hardware stores as a contractor. This RONA sold me $200 worth of 2x6 cedar, went to the yard, it took 3 employees and 1 manager almost 30 minutes to find where they keep the cedar in their yard. Then it took another 30 minutes for them to figure out that they do not stock cedar 2x6. Not that they’re out of stock, they apparently don’t carry it. Had to get a refund, will be shopping anywhere else but here in the future.

I had purchased a smoke detector from a RONA store at the Edmonton Trail location 3 days ago while it was on sale. I realized I needed another one for my main floor so I returned to that store a couple days later and they told me very abruptly that it was no longer on sale and I would have to pay full price. I politely asked them if they would consider discounting this item as the sale had just finished the day before. Most of the staff at that store are always so grumpy and blatantly rude so I was not surprised when they refused to honor the sale price. I left the store without saying another word to any of the staff. So today I decided to go to the RONA in the northeast by Costco and see if the staff would consider my request given the recent sale. One of the assistant managers was on staff and was super friendly and understanding. When I showed her my receipt from the Edmonton Trail RONA illustrating the sale price , she quickly stated that she would gladly match the sale price and sold it to me for the discounted price. I was very grateful to her for this act of kindness and thanked her kindly. She truly demonstrated strong customer service coupled with professional behavior and I left the store extremely satisfied. The staff at the Edmonton Trail RONA could take some lessons from this manager. I will come here next time and save myself the grief the Edmonton Trail store lays on their customers. Highly recommended! ????

Normally a fantastic store and staff. This time I hope it's an exception. The web site has 17 x 18 flower pots listed as a clearance item. It shows two In stock. I drive over, looked around but could not locate Viva 17 x 19 - Matte Black. I patiently waited while the lady In the Garden Centre helped another customer. She could not locate the clearance item either. How nice to put on the web see price and details in store. Once a nappy customer, now likely go to the competition. I found a drop in kitchen sink in there flyer on sale.I was thrilled as I was looking for one.When I went to the store the same day the flyer came out I went to pick it up. The gentlemen in the kitchen area searched the shelves for one but could not find the one that was in the flyer. I then went to customer service and Hope they could help me. At customer service they could only find 3 in there system. They were the same sink but not the drop in sink like the flyer says. I'm not sure why they put sales on items that are not in there store. Maybe they should inventory there store first before having a sale. It not very fair to the customer.

I called ahead and asked if a product was in stock and after driving there, waiting in line and hunting down somebody, I was told that they don't have the stock that they confirmed over the phone. Rona /Lowes scam! The Sunridge location is closest to my home. I use them often but I noticed an alarming trend.. I go to their website to check availablity before going to the store. The products posted online are rarely available, they differ not by the actual product but by their SKU no. The price of the product varies greatly by as much as a hundred percent.. If you go to the customer service desk they are usually helpful but of course this can take 15 to 30 minutes to rectify. I allways try to be courteous and explain I am not blaming the person helping me but it is a corporate policy to use these deceitful tactics but they sometimes take it personal for this is totaly corporate upper managements fault and it is them having to make their front line people deal with there sleezy business tactics.

Arrived at the store to pick up my online order and called the store to have it brought out for curbside pickup at 8pm. Lady took my order number and told me to have my ID ready and they would be out in a few mins.....30 mins later still nothing. I called the store back and it then too another 10 mins for them to bring out the order. Ridiculous amount of wait time to pick up something not during peak hours. I then went in to pick up some plumbing supplies but was not sure where they were, I reach the plumbing area and asked an employee if he worked in this area and his response was "I am standing here, aren't I". Honestly did not know how to respond. Needless to say I will avoid this store.

The aglaonema that I bought had soft rot disease. One leaf was half cut when I bought it, but I didn’t think much of it. Thought I could take it home and give it a bit of tlc, to make it grow. A week later, two leaves started getting mushy black patches. I was scared that the disease might get my other plants, I hurried to throw it off. When I pulled it, the stems were soft and mushy too. I had paid for that plant, which was in my house for only a week and could have killed all my other plants.

Could not find an associate to assist in plumbing. After walking up and down several isles looking for a wax ring or an associate I did finally find them on my own. They weren't in the isle they were tucked on a self that surrounds the desk/counter space that it would have been nice to find an associate posted at. It might be likely that the associate was elsewhere helping another customer but given the time I spent searching isles 5 or 10 minutes and never once saw an employee at the counter perhaps this department may benefit from 2 associates. There is room behind that counter for at least 2 employees. Hmmm.

I purchased 3 appliances from Rona, the issue is with the fridge, they brought the fridge April.12th and it had a big dent in the center of the freezer door. They sent a tech a week later to see if they could fix it to which they could not. They agreed to replace the fridge, the second fridge had a dent on the left hand side of the fridge door, we refused the delivery. they sent a 3rd fridge to which it had a dent on the right hand side of the bottom door. they agreed to do "customer satisfaction" which means I could choose a new fridge but it had to be equal or lesser value (but I bought my fridge on sale due to buying 3 of the same brand) so no fridge was in that price range, further no other fridge would fit in my space. so again we tried with the same fridge, scheduled for delivery May.13th (another week later) to which I receive a phone call at 9am saying that they cannot complete the delivery because it is out of stock and they do not know when they will get more stock in. I have now gone 1 month without a fridge, had to use 3 vacation days and 2 sick days for them to be a complete disappointment, they have finally agreed to refund me my money but refuse to compensate me for not having a fridge for the last month. I could not keep fresh food, had to lose pay going home to try and accept a delivery that was frankly unacceptable and they say they cannot do anything because the delivery was never complete even though it was THEIR FAULT. if they had delivered a fridge that was not damaged than it would had been resolved a month ago but for some reason they do not know how to do this. I want compensation for my wasted time due to your incompetence.

Once again Rona is there for us! Needed a 4x4x8 fence post cut into 8 in pieces. Googled it an Lowes had cutting lumber listed as part of there in store survices. Went to Lowes and we were told they don't have the equipment to cut posts and it was too much work for their staff to do by hand. Called Rona and sure enough they cut posts. The staff was friendly, and helpful and we wete in and out in no time. Thanks again Rona! You guys are always amazing!

I went to Costco, Canadian Tire, and home depot today looking for an AC.. And they were out of stock due to this heat warning weather . I then tried to google other store such as the brick, Walmart... Then I came across Rona. It said that they had some in stocks. I called ahead just to make sure I'm not gonna waste my time driving around. When I called the customer service, I asked the lady if they had any AC in stock, she had then transferred me to the department which someone can help me with that. An older man had answered the phone (he sounded like he hated his job) I asked him the same question, "Hi I was wondering if you guys had Any AC in stock right now?" he told me they had a couple left. He asked which BTU I was looking for, and I told him 14,000.he then told me he had two of the midea brand left, I asked for some more information, and told him I'll call back. I went to do a quick review on the brand he mentioned, and it turned out to be an awesome brand. So I called back within 10 mins. Customer service transferred me to the department again. And the older man had picked up, I told him I just called regarding to the AC, and had asked him if I could possibly put one on hold and I'll pick it up later today. He said the item will be hold for 24 hrs after that they will sell the item. The I gave him my name and phone number. I arrived there around 6:20pm with my parents. I went up to the customer service and told the younger guy I had called earlier and put an AC on hold. He then went and look for the item. At this point, another customer came up next to me and got another employees attention, she told the other employee she had put an AC on hold. The young guy that was helping me came back, and asked more information from me. He asked if I knew who I had talked to, and I told him it was an older guy at the department I got transferred to. He took me to the hold area, and pointed at the midea AC box asked if that was the one. And I said yes. Unfortunately that box had a different name on hold for. (which was the lady next to me) then the younger guy said he'll be back and said "don't worry, we have some more in the back" He then pulled the older guy that was on the phone with me out, the guy said he put the box at the aisle by customer service, and now it's gone(literally on an aisle where anyone could just pick it up and buy it...) so he went to the back and see if there was another one. I waited and waited. He brought out another brand that was not the same as I asked for. I told him I asked for the midea brand, not the Arctic King. His reply to me was "There's nothing I can do, do you want this or not" I was desperate for an AC as the weather had been so hot. I said fine, then he walked away without apologizing for the mistake and inconvenience he had costed me. The young man came back and said how is everything, I explained to him the situation, and how unimpressed I was with that old guy with his customer service. He apologized to me. At this point I was really annoyed. After driving around all day and I came so close to Finding an AC that I wanted. Instead of them trying to at least offer an discount for this whole BS, I had to be the one to ask if I could get a discount. He did called his manager and explained the situation, the manager knocked down a whole "$50" discount..... If I wasn't so desperated, I honestly wouldn't even bother buying it. I do need to give credit to the younger man at the customer service. He did what he can. But as for the older man, if he's so miserable at his job, and doesn't have the decency to apologize for the mistake he made, maybe he shouldn't even be working there. Overall, I was really unimpressed.
