One of the nicest garden centres around. They’re smaller, so they don’t have the range of items that the larger centres have, but what they do have is excellent quality. It’s also just nice to walk around the beautiful property.

Decent plants, a little on the expensive side. However staff were hopelessly uninformed when questioned regarding their products. Communications between staff was also hopeless. Asked about their washed rock which was advertised by the scoop. Was told they didn't have any, if they did, it was left overs from landscaping job. Asked if they were getting any more, they did not know.

We go here a few times a year for perennials. Always good quality plants. Saying that I was just looking at my receipt and even after correcting the cashier about the missed discount, it still wasn't calculated properly.

I was so happy to discover that Countryside was open during November and December AND that they were designing and selling outdoor holiday arrangements. I took the short drive south of Calgary and purchased a beautiful natural arrangement for my front entry, and then ordered two more for my building at work - which they delivered. These arrangements have added a festive touch that are admired by everyone at a very affordable price! Inside the shop were several local small businesses showcasing their wares. Great ideas for the holidays. Worth the trip out there - or visit the website.

What an amazing place so close to Calgary! Friendly and helpful staff all around! An amazing selection of pretty much all plants and a good variety of anything else garden related, and their prices are THE BEST for garden specific centres in Calgary South, I would even call them competitive with Costco! I strongly recommend going here first,and will return soon! Sad I missed out on the stone fire pizza!????

I had originally recommended this place to a friend but seriously regret this. When my friend purchased trees from here they initially had a 1 year warranty. However, during the purchasing period, they pulled an illegal bait and switch and took away the warranty without informing them of the change. This is a very crooked business and I would advise against purchasing here.

I came to Countryside with what I thought was an impossible task. I had five large hanging baskets that should have been planted in March or April for maximum effect but I showed up with them on Countryside's doorstep in the middle of May. The helpful and knowledgable staff took over, planted an amazing mixture of plants for me, looked after them to start them properly and then delivered them safe and sound. What a wonderful team of professionals. The baskets are superb! The service a five out of five. I highly recommend Countryside. I will be back next year..in April.

We bought preorder spruce trees from Countryside last year and received them before the end of May. They all did great and we plan to order more this spring. We were very happy with the service and professionalism that Countryside offered to us ( unlike previous garden centres we worked with) and we look forward to working with them on our landscaping! GO ELSEWHERE!!! Where do I start? Rude unfriendly staff! Quoting for a landscaping job costs $200.00 with their consultant Kelly. We had her out for a quote and although she was already on site to look at an area of our yard; we mentioned an additional area for landscaping in the same yard, she said it would be another $200.00 to cover her time, as she only expected to look at one area. If that is not the most ludicrous money grab I've ever heard!! Support a business with better ethics and GO ELSEWHERE!!

Good selection, nice plants, but deceptive pricing. Bought a large number of perennials. Sign posted $4.99 for 4 inch, at till charged $9.99. When questioned, I showed them their sign. They said it was wrong, as only have 5 inch. Well the container is 4 inchs wide by 5 inches deep; so why is 4 inch only on your sign with the lower price? I feel duped. As a result you have lost me as a repeat customer. Being honest is of highest value. Sorry, you failed at that.

Love this garden centre! Great well informed staff who are always happy and inspired. Purchased several apple trees and had them installed last week. The guys did a good job planting and we are very happy. Not sure about some of the bad reviews regarding warranty policies. I think it was make very clear to me what their policy is and i noticed it posted in store and on brochures. Obviously some customers are not asking the questions they need to before planting trees and are assuming no responsibility for care. I dont think not watering trees properly is cause for the growers to be blamed- but just my opinion. Anyways Ive been back to this lovely place 6 times this season and its just a hidden gem that is always wonderful to walk around and pick up some new and interesting plants! Highly recommended!

For the past two years I have put in early bird orders of close to 20 trees. The first year went seamlessly. Fantastic communication through the whole experience. Second year. Same thing. Was floored by how quickly the trees showed up even during a a global pandemic. Sales staff is fantastic. Prices are unbeatable. Quality is great! Honour warranty when one tree failed to leaf out. Install crew were beyond amazing. Have nothing but good things to say! Visit the greenhouse often and always have a great experience. Have come to look forward to February when the pre-sale starts again! If only I had more yard space!?

Horrible customer service. It’s like a private girls club. Have had several issues over the past two summers with purchasing large trees. Poor communication, they blame there screw ups on you as a customer. Left several messages with them and they never called back. I went to see them personally and there answers to me was “well we are busy”. Really? No I am so sorry, my apologies, nothing at all. They gave me warranty information when I purchased a tree. I followed the instructions and went into the store. They said they can not help me, I need to go online and send in a warranty request. Two totally sets of different instructions and they don’t return their messages. Horrible, Horrible customer service. The red head who seems to be the boss did not help.

Very poor communication, i understand the hardships of the situation due to covid 19 but ive only had 1 response for my order places on june 4th, which is now july 23rd. All ive been looking for is an update, i was fine with a delay but now im forced to dispute the transaction for goods not received with my credit card company. I as well work with customers daily and have had no issues reaching out to them to provide updates, no excuse for a non response

Shopping at Countryside is always fun. Their outdoor displays are inspiring and their plants are always healthy. They always have a unique collection of succulents and tender tropicals for outdoor arrangements. You can be assured that any tree or shrub purchased from them will be hardy and used to growing in Prairie conditions as it is all locally grown.

I always enjoy coming here but did notice their outdoor gardens were not as nicely tended this year, maybe the weather. It was later in the season so the annual selection was limited but they still had a lot of perennials. As usual their shop had some cute items and I came away with some new pieces for my garden. Worth the drive to Dewinton

Found this place by accident and was very pleased to visit. It's couple minutes outside Calgary but very easy to find. Super friendly for kids. Well organized play area. Garden center is smaller than others in Calgary but not short of the the choice. Exposition allow to pick what you looking for without digging through pile of everything. Distance from the city keep it cozy. Way less people and stuff have time to help. Great place to visit just to relax. It is like living in South Calgary and doing groceries in Okotoks Costco ;)

Absolutely stunning place! This beautiful gem is located in the hamlet of Dewinton and is well worth the short drive from Calgary. Their customer service is fantastic and they have very knowledgeable staff that can help you with all your plant needs. The best part is they grow all of their plants! I ordered some large trees in the spring pre-order and they looked fantastic upon arrival and the crew that planted them did an incredible job, you also can’t beat the price. They also have some of the best hanging baskets I’ve seen. I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful garden centre!

At first we were very impressed with Countryside Landscapes. Had the trees we wanted for a good price and delivery was free! Customer service while purchasing was exceptional. We were told delivery would be 2-3 weeks and actually took 7 weeks, which would not have been an issue had there been adequate (or any) communication. I left 3 messages for the woman who schedules delivery and she never returned any of them. When I did get her on the phone (6 weeks after purchasing) she did not acknowledge that I had been trying to contact her or give any reason for extended delivery time. Trees came and instillation was done very well, trees were however very dry when they arrived.

A variety of great plants which are well looked after. The indoor section contains interesting containers and houseplants. Very good customer service from Carley and Christine; they are knowledgeable and take the time to communicate. And make sure you see Ace, the superb cat.

I had to order 2 trees over the phone and was told they would pick the most beautiful ones, and they did. I love them! DON'T BUY HERE!!! Purchasing our trees here was a huge mistake! The staff here repeatedly lied to us about the warranty policy being 1 year on all trees, then suggested we wait to buy them on sale and save some money. We thought that might be too late to plant in the year but we were assured it would be fine. Turns out they changed the policy in the middle of our dealings and removed warranty protection from on sale trees and no one told us. We were effectively talked out of the warranty by deceitful staff assuring us that we would have it. We had arranged for the trees to be installed for us, but on the day arranged I received a call saying they had changed their mind, and were no longer willing to install, but they were on their way. I had to leave work to go install trees in the middle of the day. When the crew showed up late to drop the trees off i went out to help them and they got out of their truck, waved and literally sat against my neighbors fence and had a nap for over an hour. I'm not joking! When they got up they started installing trees! They had 7 or 8 installed by the time I noticed them working and all of them were installed very poorly. I asked them why they were installing and they pointed at a work order that said in red pen, all caps, double underlined "DO NOT INSTALL!!" After a series of confusing phone calls they left, but they refused to leave the fertilizer we purchased! With the harsh early frosts last year that were hard on a lot of trees, my newly planted trees did not do well over winter. This year they tell me that because the trees were bought on sale, and not installed by them that I have no warranty. I felt lied to, and taken advantage of, and after 2 weeks spent trying to see if we could could even meet in the middle we were told there was nothing they would do. Shockingly unprofessional, unappolagetically dishonest, Genuinely terrible. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We really enjoy visiting this Garden Centre. We have purchased perennial plants and some shrubs over the past few years. Everything is living well in our garden. This past spring we brought home and planted a new tree in place of an old sad tree which we had taken down. The Japanese Silk Lilac seems to be liking its new home.
