Have been to this nursery many times. great place. Unfortunately last weekend (Sunday March 21) there was a lady employee (some kind of manager) walking around talking to people with no mask on. Turned us right off. At one point she had a Macdonalds coffee in her hand, but not all the time. There was no mask around her chin or wrist. So that's not an excuse. Any person who walks in the store with a coffee in hand does not have to wear a mask??? Store was busy. She was the only person maskless. Yes there were other employees with the mask down around their lips, not over their nose. Very disappointing with all that is going on.

Huge greenhouse. What I was most impressed with was that they try to do things organically, or at least naturally. They fertilize their plants with this sat her of dead bugs. So cool! Advertising this More clearly would be great. I would've went a lot sooner if I knew they were using natural methods.

A vast carpet of greenery in seemingly endless rows and that's just inside the greenhouse. Out side is more corridors surrounded in plants and pottery. If want to spend a $1000 or $5 on one plant. This is your place.

Bluegrass is one stop I make when in Red deer just for a little walk thru! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! Recently the greenhouse was Exploding with plants tropical and herbs! It’s always clean and organized. The greenhouse location is easy to access in and out and just off the highway. There is a public washroom just in case

Staff are very helpful and friendly. The flowers are the best from any greenhouse I've been too. They grow so huge and colorful. Even had some spread seed and come back the next year.

These people blew me away with their beautiful service. Through no fault on their part, the sod was delayed by a couple days, and the owners and the sod grower personally came to my little yard and laid the sod for me. I cannot express my thanks enough and still get teary thinking of how kind they were. The sod was fabulously green and healthy. They truly should get 10 stars instead of 5.

Good customer service. Ashley was very friendly. She probably noticed we were first timers and then offered to help us. We just briefly described what we are planning for our yard and toured us around for suggestions. She is very knowledgable on what she do and explained it very well. Overall this place is definitely a place to go, especially for gardening beginners like us. We'll definitely come back here. :)

The sod was good but I was charged $260 more than quoted and they weren’t willing to honour the quote I was given. Be sure to get everything in writing....

The garden dirt is terrible. full of weeds and, too much mulch. Went into return the big yellow bag and tell them about the dirt, asked for a refund or to see what they could do about it and was told to bad. Dirt has weeds not our problem. I understand dirt has weeds, what i didn’t expect from your advertising was the amount of weeds. Never have we had this problem from dirt we have bought from Blue grass. Due to your poor customer service we will be taking our business else where

I would come here again for my flowers since they have so many different flower types to choose from just make sure to come at the right time before everything is picked over or wait until they restock and the rhubarb I got there is still growing and not killed from when it hails but my strawberries died oh well they didn't have a good time in the car and kinda fell and smashed against eachother whoops.

I was just wanting my Daily dose of plants, and I witnessed younger employees getting yelled at by what seemed like a manager. Young employee left crying. This was very upsetting to see because it was done in a public place, and no employee should be treated this way, especially infront of buying customers. (Not saying they should do it behind closed doors either) The greenhouse looks amazing. The employees taking care of the retail area are doing an amazing job. Sad to see these young adults being put down for their hard work. I hope this review can show the owners what is going on inside the greenhouse when they are not around. As it is unacceptable to yell at employees in such a high volume.

I cannot tell you how much I love this place! From free poinsettias to hand out to friends and family, at Christmas to having the most knowledgeable and, friendly staff ~ Blue Grass is one of my very favourite local businesses to shop at ! Wanda, especially, is just so kind and, helpful. She goes above and beyond, every single time I go in and, she is working. She is quick to help and, will take the time with you, no matter how busy, to ensure that you understand exactly how to care for your plants. That's highly appreciated, considering I am such a novice. She's wonderful, as are all the staff there. LOVE this place ❤️❤️

Very disappointed this year. They didn't have the plants that i would normally buy....very disappointed. The workers where very nice but know idea on plant knowledge and the prices are very high from evan last year. Not worth the two hour trip!!

Confusing with honoring mask exemptions. You let me walk around for 30 minutes, THEN you say something because people complained. You seem to be wishy washy with your stance on exemptions. Will not support such stores.

Excellent selection, attractively laid out (5 stars). High prices - I can often find many same products brought in from same suppliers at other local businesses for nearly half the price (2 stars). Plant quality - Varies. Selling aphid-infested plants, even on clearance, is a no-no. Customers generally don't want to be bringing that home to infest their healthy plants (unless they have an aphid-eating pet?).

The wood is cut fairly large and isn't the best quality, but the price wasn't too bad for the proximity to Red Deer.

Thank you to Blue Grass Sod for coming and fixing our entire back yard! From pulling out all the old dead sod, to laying the new sod in one day. They were quick, affordable, and had a great crew come out. Highly recommend, will definitely use them again.

The sod there is garbage. They wouldn't replaced it after I spent a couple years trying to get it looking better. The guy wouldn't even let me speak to his boss. What a joke!! Get it from a building center where they don't use this place and than you deal with them instead if its garbage.

Very disappointed, greenhouse is very nice BUT the prices are way out of whack, instead of selling 4 or 6 plants per basket they put 1 plant in a 4"pot so they could charge more, ????customers aren't dumb were onto you!!!

I went there today for grass and soil. Very friendly girls in the office. They gave me so much advice and even found someone to help me load my vechile that helped alot. It's a family business and a beautiful place. I enjoyed watching their animals while I waited for another wonderful man to load my vechile. Not Happy - I used Bluegrass for a long time for my landscaping business, and used them again today. We just finished sodding a yard and we’re pressured into buying more sod. And we had 20 rolls left, never taken off the pallet, and bought the same day. Wouldn’t even refund us.... AND they put the left over sod back in the sales rack... TALK ABOUT DOUBLE DIPPING BLUEGRASS!!! Taking out business else where for now on!
