If you are looking for unusual things you cant find at the garden centre's this is a great place. They have a large variety of garden seeds that you can purchase year round. Lots of pretty planters and gift items for the garden lover. Also a nice selection of fertilzer to keep your soil nice and healthy. Knowledgeable staff...not always the most friendly to patrons if you don't speak proper plant terminology...which is why I took 1 star off my review.

How to be rude to a customer: Middle aged man (maybe the owner?) interrupts the customer half way through reading your sign on the outside chalk board. Customer: "Dang I just needed a pack of zucchini seeds." Man: Audibly scoffs, "Ya you and everyone else." You get three stars because my last visit I was treated nicely by an older lady. Just because demand is high and you're behind on orders, it's not an excuse to be a dork.

Friendly staff. First time there. I would give more than 5 stars if I could for this reason. They are temporarily only taking online or email orders and curbside pickup for the safety of customers and staff. Some people that walked up didn't know and were upset. What they don't realize is that the owner and staff are taking every precaution to ensure staff and customers are safe. Try seeing if the big box stores have the same approach. I will continue to go to this business as a result.

Great little store where you can find pretty much anything you need for gardening. In fact, for a newby gardener like me selection was a bit overwhelming. But the store is well organized so it's easy to find what you need. Huge selection of seeds and roots (I don't even think there are as many brands in Enjoy Center). I loved the selection of pots and backyard decor. Staff could be a little more friendly (like greeting, smile or offer to help) but when approached they are quite knowledgeable and willing to assist. Will definitely return.

I loved the selection of products in the store, and overall, I thought the prices were very fair and competitive. However, as I was going around the store with my walker today looking for someone to assist me, there was one person who looked to be a staff member (hard to tell - nothing noticeable identifies staff) engaged in a lengthy conversation with 2 others in the store - probably 15 minutes? while I was waiting around for assistance. I stopped close by a couple times, but he did not break his conversation or ask if he could find someone to assist me. I was trying to find a product and there was another woman next to me for another 5 minutes. My husband asked if she worked there (again, no offer of assistance or anything to identify if she was staff), and she did. It would have been nice if she asked if she could assist or help as I had no way of knowing that she was a staff member. Nice store, but some offer of assistance and identification of staff would be super helpful. The lady at the til when we were leaving did offer assistance if we needed help with carry out (appreciated that).

Apache Seeds is an amazing gardening store. The selection, service and know-how here are simply fantastic. I always get the sense that they have carefully selected their product lines to provide customers with maximum value, over minimum cost. Yeah, you could replace cheap garden tools from a tire store every few years as they break, or you can invest a little bit more up front for tools that can last a lifetime. But that said, their prices are fairly competitive with US-based big-box corporate stores, and since they're a local business, that's been in business for decades, I am happy to spend my money here. It's location on 149 St and Stony Plain is easily accessible from the better part of the city, with plenty of parking. Apache Seeds is an asset to the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as to Edmonton as a whole. I would highly recommend checking them out!

I recently purchased a growth lamp over at Apache seeds. I have had it a few weeks, and it just wasn't performing, as a matter of fact, it was sub grade. I went over to Apache seeds, shared the issue and they were more than happy to take back with a full refund. This is why my family has continued to support this local business for years. Stellar customer service, excellent product (have never returned anything aside from this issue today), and excellent location. Thank you for making this a hassle free experience. Good location and size for store. I have shopped there for two years and find that the staff is not helpful at all, but will actually work hard to avoid you. Signs outside their facility say order on line but they have no catalogue, lists or decent photos of most of their products! What’s waste of a time and waste of a long drive. I came to the store today to pick up some flower pots, and I read the sign outside that said online orders only. I was doing some research on my phone when an employee (the lady told me that she is youngest one that works here to which I later found out to be incorrect) asked me what I was looking for, and told me it would be 4 days to get the order processed, which is fine. But when I had asked her for some quick questions about cannabis, that's when she got extremely forthright and became rude. She essentially told me to leave and that she would not even try to help me or would anyone else in this store due to the stigma of cannabis. All in all, I was not happy with the interaction, and I wish that they would wake up and smell the coffee and realized that this is 2020. Cannabis is legal, and while I understand their right to refuse service, it could of been handled better than what happened in my interaction. If they wish to ignore a group of potential clients, that is their right. I don't agree with it, but I don't have to. The lady who to whom I am referring is 5'8 to 5'10 and 130lbs, she said she is the youngest at 56 years of age, with salt and pepper hair in a ponytail. Much more than it looks from the outside. A wide selection of seeds, with many of the hard to find varieties. A great selection of gardening tools and items. They even have an adequate selection of plants for sale as well. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though the business can be hard to access it is worth it

Fantastic old world shop. Instead of trying to carry everything they are focused on what they do which is most everything for your garden with a big emphasis on plant you start from seed. Service is great with better informed staff then places that sell everything.

Went here on advice of my aunt who is a grower for green houses. I know next to nothing about plants and I wanted some ideas about a balcony garden. I walked out with exactly what I was looking for... Dirt and a little bit of advice. Store staff seemed much more knowledgeable than the larger stores. Store also has a small town homey feel with a wide variety of unique garden stuff. It was fun to browse and I will be back again.

There are a very nice, smaller, growing centre. Kind, but not very knowledgeable. Decent selection, but a little expensive. A good choice for supporting local business. Hours of operation are a little ridiculous though.
