All the signs were flashing open but the door was locked. The sign said they were open Sundays from 12 till 5. I guess they didn’t want business that bad.

I kinda popped in to about 4 souvenir shops on my trip, and this was certainly the best. Big store with all kinds of Canadian and NWT merch, lots of clothes to choose from, snacks, postcards, jewelry, teddy bears, pins, statues, tiles, etc etc. The man who worked there is very kind as well. Save your time (and possibly your money) by coming here when looking for souvenirs.

You want souvenirs go here. This was the only place we could find in all of yellowknife that had souvenir magnates. The place was filled with great deals on shirts and sweatshirts too. If you are from out of town this is a must stop. Make sure to get one of their great winter hats too. Only place in town to get magnets and shot glasses with yellowknife written on them.

(Translated) This is the only place that sells palm-sized license plates rather than the actual big signs that can be burdensome. License plate-shaped magnets are cheaper in the Old Town and are not the high quality as they are the origin of souvenir shops. Many tourists visit Japan because it is an old place introduced in a Japanese tourist brochure.
