Great place for fresh fruits, meats, & veggies Gave Remarks a 5 star 5 months ago and I am sorry I did. I was at the store today, January 8, 2018 and I am so disappointed. I picked up what was once my favorite wrap sandwich for my lunch and went back to work to eat. I opened up the container and what the heck....what was once a big big lunch was now a puny little wrap with next to nothing in it. Remarks if this is what minimum wage is going to do then you need to raise the price and make this BBQ chicken wrap what it once was! I will be calling the store to complain and I did take pictures but can't put them on here. This is disgusting what happened to your pride!

What an amazing place! It's a pretty european style grocery store, with a great atmosphere and friendly employees. A lot of organic and high-quality selections could be found here. But the variety is rather limited. I shopped here mostly for fruits, breads, meats, and flowers. Sometimes the flowers section offers special deals. I have tried out many cakes bars and desserts. I believe you can get something better in other stores. I bought a small bunch of 5 parrot tulips for 9.99, before tax. Sadly, I could only keep them for 2 days. I will never buy any special deals anymore.

Excellent deli and meat counter. We had a problem with the bill...on a $100 bill there was a $3.52 cent discrepancy. They told us they needed to search our car before they could return the money. After years of shopping there, this is not the first time we have noticed a problem with a bill.

Great staff lots of exotic food you can't buy anywhere else. Their cheese is very handsomely priced, and I believe they have every type of cheese on earth,they have such a awesome selection. One of my favorites is Canadian feta. It is a little salty, and packed with flavor. Usually only 2 or 3 dollars for a decent sized brick packaged in brine. They also have a delicious house brand coffee, one of the best tasting cups I've ever had, and they also have a huge selection of green tea, my favorites are the peach, and pomegranate green tea.

Remark has by far the best shopping experience! I have been going for years, from all the way cross town. They have the best produce , by far in the city. The prices for most things are better prices then reg grocery stores . Their meat and deli counter is the best , with all local meat and they cut all fat off their chicken , love they bacon and turkey bacon! The employees work hard , hand picking each and every single piece of produce. Never a line up .

Shopping Remark for years. But unfortunately like others have scrimped, so now has Remark. We use to buy our baked goods from Remark, for our gatherings. Not anymore. Everyone noticed the cut back in the date oatmeal cookies, jelly rolls and apple danish ring. Now we go to a bakery. UPDATED 3/28/20. I believe they fixed the jelly roll. Thank you!.

This was my first visit. I have to say I’m pretty impressed with what they have. The veggies, bakery, deli and cheese sections are all great. Found almost all the things I was looking for and it’s all good quality. I read a few reviews here and many of them mentioned it’s expensive but the prices looked comparable if not same to the other places I’ve been to. It’s a bit of a drive from where I live but if I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop by this place and get my groceries.

This is a very nice grocery store. What we don't like is the over-packaging of their vegetables; and over the last couple of years it has become worse. In today's world when we have more understanding of the harmful affects of non-biodegradables ( eg. plastics and Styrofoam ), we need to hold business' accountable. I ordered a fruit basket to be delivered. I gave them the receipient's name and address. The person taking my order asked me for the phone number and hours of operations of the business. I told her that I didn't have that info. She insisted that I have that info to complete my order. I asked her why she couldn't look up that info to meet their needs for delivery. She told me they don't have access to a computer. I found that very interesting and hard to believe so I asked to speak with a manager. I explained my experience with the manager. I found her tone condesending and she became dismissive. She told me that I was repeating myself. I asked to speak with the store manager and explained how poor the customer experience was for me. Listen.... I was not trying to be difficult or looking for something free, I just wanted good customer service. Something that we all deserve. I have been in the customer service industry myself for over 35 years, I know what good customer service looks and feels like. I have used Remarks service before and have shopped in their store in Windsor and have never had an issue before. Perhaps their staff training needs to be evaluated and their ordering/delivery system needs to be updated.

Remark has been our go to place for grocery shopping for years. We have always loved the atmosphere and freshness of their products. However, it's been very disappointing lately. We have gotten meat that has a very odd smell several times (it looks perfectly fresh and was freshly packed from the back, but when we try to cook it the same day or next day, it smells really bad). We have also gotten improperly washed salad several time that was full of dirt and sand. Yesterday we bought a fresh fruit tray that was labeled as packed the same day, when we opened it when we got home, it smelt bad. All the melons were bad. I really wish Remark could go back to being fresh like they once were with all their products.

Remark is always the best place to me for fresh produce and the best desserts and meat. Only problem is, you need to be able to afford it. If money isn't a concern when it comes to great produce, then Remark is where you want to go if you need things quickly. They are always on point with cleanliness, service and bagging. Even with Covid now, they are incredibly organized and genuinely nice. Definitely one of my favourite places to go. One secret for those people from Chatham, they carry Schinkels meat as well! Even a bigger bonus! Happy shopping!

Having been a loyal Remark shopper for several years I have always been extremely impressed with the customer service (friendly and courteous) UNTIL my visit today, February 27th, 2018 - went to cash register, said that I had been counting my change and asked if they would have any trouble accepting a roll of dimes for a $4.65 purchase (items I forgot on an earlier trip that morning) - cashier didn't say no but another employee (unfortunately probably a manager or even an owner) came charging up and said "we don't usually take these, you should be going to the bank" and proceeded to ask cashier and other cashiers near us if they even needed dimes, leaving me totally out of the transaction. I tried to apologize but she didn't even acknowledge me, no smile, no friendly exchange whatsoever, so my question is this, if I had come up to the till with all loose change wouldn't that be acceptable currency? Money is money, I thought. It truly bothers me to give Remark a bad review but I left the store feeling very humiliated (it was in front of enough customers) and embarrassed!! Unbelievable!! -- from a customer who routinely spends approximately $200.00 per month

Remark farms is yuppy heaven. Top of the line everything. Not too big so you can shop quickly. They have a good bar with good stuff to go. Soups are fabulous. Salads. They have meals prepared to pop in oven. Fabulous produce. You can be sure to find unusual items should you need them for a recipe. Almost anything. Fresh shrimp and scallops. Lovely meat and fabulous deli meats and cheese. And la piece de resistance their fresh bakes breads and pastries. The pastries not only look good but they taste good. Only drawback you do pay more than any other grocer for all this goodness. If money is not an issue it is great. Oh yes they have a flower section too.

This is one of the best groceries chain in SW Ontario. They have stores in London and my grandma would go specifically for their fruits, vegetables and deli meats.a great selection if already made, home cooked tasting meals and prepared foods. Their soups are wonderful and it's my preferred place to get my kids lunch meals. There isn't a huge variety of organic fruits and veggies, however it's not something I am completley bought into. They sell apples you can put in print ads, and the fruits are almost always the best tasting. They have all the basics and a good selection imported or fine "gourmet" foods. Not at the level of a Nordstrom's or what Dean and Deluca, in the states; but there is reason there are only a hand full of those stores left. It's a great place to go after a weekend brunch to get a prepared meal for the night and your building blocks for you packed lunches for the week. They have pretty good free coffee too, but they have stopped supplying the cream in the Windsor Location.

Great selection and freshness. Very tasty prepared foods and baked goods. I recommend getting there earlier in the day or when fresh fruits/veggies get brought out, because some customers touch everything with their bare hands. Unfortunately, Remark can't really control this. Normally really good experience, but a few times it is not great: like when I call to check if product is in instead of wasting a trip and get hung up on (presumably accidentally, but happened a fee times); i had all the veggies on s paper towel instead plastic bags (in an effort to reduce plastic waste), but got such negative attitude because of doing this from cashier and the bagger; last time whomever was ‘directing’ the crowd control line got snippy because I didnt want to take a cart to my car. All these negative experience have been unusual as most experiences are just fine. The rule sbout not touching fruits/veggies with bare hands if you don’t by them should remain after covid.

I can't thank the staff at Remarks enough. I left my wallet behind after setting it down to deal with my son who had just fallen down. I had my debit card in my pocket so I paid with that. I just assumed I didn't bring it in the store with me. So I called around the other stores I went to and they didn't have my wallet. I was super bummed out and worrying about it. Then I received a message on Facebook from a manager saying they had my wallet! They kept it in the office safe for me. Thank you so much!!

Remark Fresh Market is about absolute quality. This jem has been in he same location on Howard for years. The store is very welcoming, clean and well stocked. They have a great selection of pantry and fridge items including their support for locally owned businesses that can be found throughout the store. If you are looking for a nice selection of ready to eat meals they also have those available along with fresh salads, soups, dips that are all made in house. They have a butcher with fresh meats, steaks, kabobs etc along with a wonderful deli selection great location to grab items to make a cheese and meat tray. They also have a selection of frozen food ready meals, small bakery area and frozen sea food. The produce here is always exceptional which is reflected in the prices. Currently the store is allowing in store shopping during stage 2, there is an overhang to stay dry when waiting in line to enter the store and staff are sanitizing the carts and all wearing face masks.
