Let me start by saying I really like fresh co. It's close to home so I can walk and I always find what I am looking for at a decent price. The reason for my 2 star review is the attitude of cashier working the express line. I was shopping with my daughter the cashier was openly rude calling her sir loud enough for everyone around us to hear. My daughter was dressed in a pink dress with makeup clearly not a sir. This has happened on more than one occasion. She also seems to have an aversion to customers of middle eastern decent. It is not as obvious as her treatment of my daughter but you see the eyerolls and the snide comments make me uncomfortable. Now no matter how few items I have I refuse to use the express check out. Now that food basics is opened right across the street I will be taking more of my business there.

The only downside is that now, with covid, usually only 2 cashiers are available which makes the line to pay slow, not sure if that's a government rule (restricted people in a certain amount area)...but the cashiers working always seem to try their best to work as fast as possible.

Always buy my groceries from here or from Walmart. Freshco also does price match but only for two items max! So bring your flyers. They have some pretty good sales from time to time, I've even noticed American products being sold her such as Flaming Hot Cheetohs. They have a wide variety of groceries to buy, but mainly the layout of the store makes more sense then other places i have been to , it is very neat and simple and you never really wonder where something should be so you don't have to bother someone. The fruits and vegetables are usually pretty cheap and in great condition .

I would like to a quick moment to recognize and thank the FreshCo staff on Huron Church road. My Nana told me (for 4th time) that EVERY TIME she (and her friend that are both in wheelchairs) visit the FreshCo on Huron Church as soon as they walk in the staff are so helpful, friendly and assist them with their shopping needs. Two staff members in particular she mentioned, Bobbi-Jo and and other lady (apologies I do not know her name) greet them upon entry and go with them up and down every aisle and help the grab their groceries. They also proceed with bagging and placing their groceries on the backs of they wheelchairs so they can make their travels home. They never rush them and always are so very helpful. She also mentioned that the help and assistance is so much appreciated at Freshco she will no longer shop across the street at FoodBasic as they never assist their customers. Anyhow, personally would like to thank FreshCo Huron & Tecumseh for all of the help and assistance you regularly provide to my nana. Our family greatly appreciates you. Warmly, Tesha

I'm taking my like and my compliment and going. In the past 7-10 days I purchased their one pound tube beef and boy did it smell something fierce, rotten eggs beyond. The first time I brushed it off as accidentally, but today 29th of August 2018 the Beef was on sale (I though an apology for previous beef) but NOPE IT WAS ON SPECIAL BECAUSE THEY KNEW IT WAS BAD,2 AND STILL DARN WELL SOLD IT TO ME....I'M NOT IMPRESSED AND I'M DONE. 2019 And one more try and I'll be aghahaghagh SMELLY, SLIMEY BEFF IN THEIR PACKAGING, THIS PLACE AUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.

On December 22, 18 around ~12:39pm, I asked the cashier to price match two Silk Soy beverages. I had showed her a Zehrs flyer that was advertising "Silk soy, almond, cashew, or coconut beverages 1.89L" for $2.99. After reading it carefully, the cashier told me "because I was not purchasing almond, coconut, or cashew, she could not match the price". I tried to bring to her attention that the flyer also referenced that "soy was included in the sale;" however, she continued to refuse to price match. I had inquired to speak to somebody else, but the cashier replied "no, that she was the supervisor". I had asked whether there was any other supervisors available, and that I would like to speak to them. She had called another person on the phone, then answered me "no, he [agrees] with me". I ended up frustrated and left. Afterwards, I went to another store, and they price matched for me without any question or hassle. I was not happy and upset from my experience at the store.

The main thing that ruins the whole experience are the shopping carts. Seriously they need to be checked. There are many time i got my hand almost get a deep cut because of sharp broken plastic pieces on carts and one time i did got a cut. Worst carts. Also maximum the wheels on carts barely work. When the very carts that are supposed to be useful are bad, the shopping experience goes bad as well.

This has been my go to grocery store for 4 years, and there's rarely any issues. Also the produce is great most of the time with a lot of selection. Today I went to buy groceries and I found shopping cart with damaged wheel. I went to find a good shopping vart all around the store inside and outside but didn’t. Every single shopping cart found defected. I found one with damaged wheel, out of balance cart after searching around. At cash counter, I complained to a senior staff member about the condition of shopping cart. She replied that they have lot of customers complains regarding this problem and we forwarded those complains to owner and top management but they did not listen and didn’t take care of this big problem. I want to request to Mr. Fadi the store owner, please take it seriously before it will be too late to lead a serious injury. Thank you

FreshCo is my go-to grocery store because the prices are fair (generally cheaper than most other grocery stores) and it is easy to get to without a car. However, I have been frustrated lately because when I go at my usual time, shortly after 8:00 am on Saturday mornings, half to 80 percent of the produce is not even out for display yet. I have had to stand and wait for 10 minutes for them to put out broccoli. I understand that the store just opened but doesn't it make more sense to have all the product out BEFORE you open to customers?

Decent prices sometimes, no frills, stores gotten rid of all the decent, caring staff in most of the labour jobs in order to make hiring a family affair. Unfortunately it shows in some of the reviews here that customer service has taken a huge slide because of it. I've approached an employee stocking and had them have to retrieve someone else because they can't understand what you're saying. Long lines at times too.

NO STAR! They marked items as discount price but when I pay at cashier - price was different and higher. Linseed bread marked price: $1.99 and at cashier: $2.99. Berliner bread (I bought 4 pieces) marked: $1,88 - paid $1.99. And took red delicious apples but cashier charge me for red prince. Price was much higher. Date: may 11th. 2020. Time: 17:05 at the express cashier.

Keeping 25cents trolley security is very frustating and inconvinience for customers, most of the time customers doesn't have change 25cents, so they cannot get a trolly to shop or have to stand outside the store to beg 25 cents to release a trolley, if Fresco doesn't trust their customers that they will run away with their trollies then they should close their stores.

I’m extremely grateful to one of your staff whose name is Prince. He helped me twice, maybe he didn’t remember. For the first time, when I asked for an item and the area was empty, he went to your warehouse to get them for me even though he could easily tell me they were sold out and avoid the extra work. For the second time, he helped me even he was not working at that department and was busy with filling up the shelf when I asked for the item on the flyer. He first called the associate who work at that department and when they didn’t come he went to look for them, after knowing they were at lunch, he helped me to look for them himself stopping other work he was doing at that time. He searched and after both of us could’t find it he went to ask for the staff who was at his lunch. He spent more than 10 mins for me, I was so grateful and wanted to talk to the manager, but was not able to find him that day. Being a person who also worked in the customer service area before, I’m deeply impressed by his work attitude. You have a very good employee! He is the best sales associate I have ever seen????thank you Prince! Keep up the good work!

Great prices for good quality. One small frustration is having to carry a loonie for a grocery cart. It takes Freshco down a notch because it adds a lot of frustration for what I think of as very little purpose. I didn't have any cash, and was in a bit of a rush, so I had to carry my Turkey, pumpkin, meats and produce in two Superstore Bins through the store. Less than easy. Locking wheels their carts is a better idea and negates the need for the loonie. If someone is going to steal a cart, a loonie will not make them think twice. Stores that provide carts come across as nicer, better quality stores to shop at where customer service is considered a high priority. I will continue to shop there, but the experience can definitely be improved. :)

I was told to go to checkout at 9:48 by their manager saying see what time its is and we are closing. Now I always avoid going to this location. Like the store just frustrated with grocery carts. first cart had to exchange couldn't push it properly. then when done went to put cart in its place and there were no other carts or keys to get your money back. went to second cart holder and it was the same. a lot of work to get groceries pack them and l load them in the car then push çart to its proper place only to find it was a donation not a rental lol

Was there a change in management recently? I don't know what happened but suddenly every employee in FreshCo seems rude. The cashiers don't greet you or even say Have a good day at the end. It's like here's your stuff, now get out! Costco is way busier than this, but still the customer relationship is sweet and amicable. FreshCo has to do something about this real soon. In the past 3 visits last month I thoroughly hated the store!

I highly doubt this store (esp. the management) controls how many people can go inside.. especially during the pandemic! How can people practice social distancing when there's barely any room? It's always overcrowded (sure the line ups are long but they're always fast..thankfully). They were at risk for covid exposure before so I'd sanitize everything you buy from there.

I bought a Pringles, came home & found that the chips went bad because air might got inside & made it soft. Took it to FreshCo with receipt for an exchange. However they refused to exchange it because of COVID-19. I explained them that it was bad & that is the reason for exchange. I felt bad because I have been a customer for 4 years now & they would not keep my request. The lady simply replied harshly that read the notice on the door.
