This is a Deli, compared with Persia across the street - which has moths flying around and is bottom of the barrel in terms of quality, BUT Persia is dirt CHEAP. Mitra's isn't cheap like Persia, it's moslty high end gourmet, gluten free, ethnic and often seasonal items are brought in, like these Bitter Plums I bought on a whim a month ago - a spring delecacy in Iran, I'm told. When I first started going here, I did have to ask for an itemized receipt, but after a few times, I'm now always given one. I love the selection and seasonal things that are brought in. I use the Hummus every time I entertain and eat it several times a month. This is a true neighbourhood GEM!

Customer service needs to improve a lot. I wanted to pay debit for an 8 dollar purchase. Owner said “this one time I’ll let it go” pointing out at a sign by the cash machine that says you need a minimum 10 dollar spend. Charge me fee or don’t accept the purchase but don’t lecture me. Don’t ask me if I have a business and say “I’m sure you don’t” “I’m paying for you”. Also, wear your mask if you are speaking to your customers with no other barrier. My last time in this store so the owner can stop “paying for me”.

I feel so grateful to have Mitra’s close to us. During this crazy time it is the only place I shop. Sam is very friendly and helpful and he carries a lot of products. Fresh fruit , vegetables , meats. No crazy line ups or too many in the store. Enjoy.

Do yourself a favor and go in and buy the hummus. You are likely thinking that hummus is simple to make or that hummus is in every store everywhere. I thought the same thing. Then someone brought me a tub of this hummus. I now drive out of my way to get this hummus every single time. Just do yourself a favor and get this hummus. The only regret you will have is not getting two tubs.

Mitra's is our weekly go to for all of our "deli' items. We love the wide selection of top quality olive oils, amazing selection of unique and hard to find products such as bomba rice for my paella and of course, their awesome humous. Sam and his team are always friendly and provide great customer service in my experience.

I never go back to that store again because of the owner’s behaviour. I was waiting for him 5 minutes and he was ignoring me and talking with his friend and when he started to respond me his attitude was so unprofessional and he is so aggressive and he was talking with very bad intonation to me . As I see the reviews many other people are agreed that he is so rude and his attitude is so unpleasant but he is not even responding the reviews because he knows nothing about the customer services and he doesn’t care.that was an unfortunate experience that I had and I don’t want it for others.

Read ALL the 1 Star reviews of Mitra's Market on this thread and believe the complaints; they are exactly aligned with my experience. OWNER has mental problems (perhaps bipolar?) because his rudeness and aggressiveness towards his customers is so bad it's almost funny. I have heard him SHOUT at customers (me included). They don't give you an itemized receipt unless you ask for one...why is that? Because they overcharge you! Also, during a worldwide pandemic (virus is spread through airborne droplets) OWNER wears his mask half way down his face, with nose exposed...really weird.

They have quality goods with reasonable price but: 1- They don't accept payment with card if you are buying less than $10 2-Stuff specially the one on the cashier is tough 3- I bought yogurt for $3.90 he didn't give my change back and didn't ask me if I need any receipt

As a regular customer I must say I'm shocked that the owner turned away a customer because he wanted me to buy more since I was using my credit card order would be over $10 it was $8.35. he kept suggesting I buy a drink or chocolate bar to make it over $10 and when I refused he was okay with me not buying anything and losing a regular customer. Cheap and rude never going back ! ????????????

Awful customer service. Today I had gone for shopping. The owner was cleaning and I had to call him come to counter and answer my question. He declined to come and loudly tried to answer ! I told him this is nasty to deny your customer, you should be responsive in a polite manner not yelling ! He answered I don't have to come to the counter and answer you ! I am alone right now and busy ! Very rude . He needs some ethical advice !

The owner’s behaviour is really unbelievable. I was there last week asking for samanoo and Siamak said that we have it but it’s for out customers!!!!!! When I’m there it means that I am your customer man, he said that I’m here for 20 years and I didn’t see you. he doesn’t know anything about customer services,he is so rude, he didn’t even respond me when I said hello to him. So happy that I’m not your customer with this awful customer service that you have .

I love the homemade hummus and samosas, and am always able to find any spice I’m looking for, but today I was in and was very troubled by the lack of social distancing in the store. They used to have a plexiglass screen at the checkout, but that is gone now. If there are more than 3 customers in the store, don’t go in. Sorry for the bad review. I want to shop at your store, but im very concerned that you aren’t doing enough to protect your customers and staff.

Guys Please Watch Out, they don't give you a receipt indicating the prices of the items you bought. He Was mad at me for inquiring that and he said I am not going to do that and ..... - The attitude?!! Terrible. The prices are just looking fair on the display, Shockingly they change at the cash. Not going back there.

The store is clean but the owner’s behavior is unacceptable, and not welcoming. The store is not doing the requirements of COVID .there has no shield in front of the cashier desk and I have not notice any mask wearing. Always have to ask for the receipt. the prices of most products are higher than the other Persian stores although they are from the same company . But the bad behavior is something that lots of people don’t like to shop there.

Very nice products. Terribly rude staff. After watching a woman pay with card, the cashier told me they didn't take cards for my purchase which was roughly $5. The cashier saying"Jesus Christ, man" was the final straw for me and I left my purchases on the counter and walked out.

Very dishonest family business! Be careful when and if you shop at Mitra’s Market. They never give you a receipt unless you ask for one. (I mean a detailed breakdown of your purchases) A few times I was shocked when I came home at why it was more than I thought it would be, and sure enough it never added up. The last time I was made sure I check as they are entering the numbers and I realized they either overcharge or double charge!! Very sad that they would have to resort to theft to make money.

I went to buy some olives at this store. There was a sign that said that all the bulk olives were $1.99/100g. When I went to buy them, the guy I assume is the owner (bald guy) overcharged me, charging me $2.39/100g. I pointed this out to him and he told me to give him the olives back. He took the container, poured them back into the bin, gave me my money back, and would not sell them to me. He acted all offended that I had pointed out the fact that he'd overcharged me. He said the sign was the "old price" and ripped it off the display. What a joke. I wonder how many people he has overcharged.

1. He(the manager) changed the price from $2 to $3 in a day, while the price tag was still $2. So it means he overcharged me. 2. I asked for a recipt, he got mad on on me. 3. He doesnt accept paying by card for purchases under $10. Such a jok. 4. He answered your questions about the price aggressively.
