As a restaurant supplier and a restaurant owner in Calgary I have been trying to purchase some items from them. Since October 6 I have been unable to speak with them because apparently they have been too busy! Today, I called them again and I left my phone number but I didn’t receive a call back. I also sent an email but there was no reply. I have never seen a company like this.

Wonderful collection of italian stuff - variety of noodles, jams, coffee, etc. not found in other stores. Staff was very friendly and enthusiastically helpful. @ the cafe: the coffee blend is light. I had the caramelized onion sandwich (just ok) and the Portuguese tart (wouldn't recommend). But there's so much selection to choose from so I will be back to try other sandwiches when I'm here next!

Pasta Tuesdays. That's all that really needs to be said. Great selection of Panini's as well and their espresso is top notch. It rivals the stuff that you get at dedicated coffee shops. Recently found out that they have pizza Thursdays. Their pizzas are pretty good and there was a lineup. Pasta Tuesdays are where its at though.

This is definitely my go to store if I need a specific Italian item. Recently though I was very disappointed , their fresh mozzarella, the one that you get from the deli counter was bitter and very difficult to consume. Was not possible to return it but I will be more careful next time. Thankfully no one of my family got sick but the taste was seriously awful. No more fresh mozzarella I guess for us. I definitely don't wont to repeat the experience.

The one and only Italian Supermarket of the entire WestCoast of Canada. There is definitely no other option that comes close to this. I love their Tuesday pastas and their grocery selection. As a born and bred Italian though, I would prefer to see Italian brands imported, not a similar product with a Canadian company behind the production. I realize import fees must be exorbitant for some items, but some of us are willing to pay the price for the real thing and not the knock-off version. Amazing selection of deli, and everyday items for cooking. Service is fantastic. I'm just tired of seeing "italissima' brand and would prefer some true, imported flavours instead. But this is all we got, so I will take it! Keep it up, Bosa!

Fairly large Italian supermarket with a café and deli. If you're looking for something imported from Italy whether it's preserved food, meat, cheese, or pasta, they likely have it here. Parking is tight, so you might need to wait for a space if you're coming at a busy time.

Don’t go if you want a quick lunch the ladies are so unorganized I ordered a spanakopita paid then waited with my tag for 20 mins the lady at till noticed I was still waiting and periodically called over to the grills asking if the spanakopita was ready with everyone repling no not yet. I started to wonder why everyone after m in the line was leaving so I watched each grill and said I don’t see any spanikopitas on the grill when the lady said oh I forgot! I had no time to wait any longer I asked for refund and no apology was given from any staff. My lunch hour was over with no lunch, thanks a lot bosa ????????????????????????

I just wanted to say about this place for the second time, that I am not really all that impressed by this place, once for this espresso pot for the stovetop and you think they make a lot money or have a lot of money already, why not just a refund on something, they make a big deal about it. Attitude is the same, especially in the deli, the gloves should be changed on every customers, especially now with this virus going on these days. The cheeses already cut should be cheaper now with no one working these days, it should be really cheap. The raw meat I bought lots of times but a couple of last time I bought it, I didn’t feel well. I do not like when people touch without gloves

Being from Italian origin and travelling a lot in Italy, I’m quite disappointed about Bosa Food in Vancouver. In my personal opinion too many of the products that I saw there are not Made in Italy at all but they are produced in Canada or somewhere and after labelled "Product of Italy". The taste of these products is reasonable but far away from the best Italian food. It is quite difficult to find the best Italian food in Vancouver BC, probably it is impossible. I hope that Bosa food will come back to import also top quality products. People are open to pay way more to taste the best of Italy. As general information for the consumers, Please pay attention also at the label "Product of Italy"! "Product of Italy" doesn't mean "Made in Italy". If you want to be sure that a product is really Made in Italy you must find the address of the Italian producer printed on the label. This is a problem that you currently find in all North America.

*edit, thanks for the correction* This is the second location, with Victoria Drive the first. Staff told me the stores offer all the same goods but this one does have more room to move around in. They do have a bigger selection of non-food items (cooking gadgets, accessories, etc) as well. While some staff at Victoria Drive ask you not to take pictures, this one seems fine with it. The cheese selection is extensive and the olive section is always amazing. It really is like a Disneyland for food! Daniel

I like the store and its location. The building itself gives you a Tuscany feel! However, I notice the followings: > some of the items are made in China! > some items in the freezer/cooler do not stipulate county of origin. I love the Iberico Jamon Spagnia and bought 300g, and the Buffalo Mozzarella & Burrata of Italy. The reason I give it 3 * because at check out, the cashier informed me that Bosa Foods does not accept AMEX! What a shame! I guess I'll just shop at Cioffi which is on Hastings, not far from Bosa because they accept AMEX every time I shop there.

The deli counter guy was quite rude, in that "I hate my job because customers annoy me" kind of way and when I got home I discovered he had sliced my 200 grams of turkey so thick there were only 5 slices. Nobody wants their deli meat that thick, am I right?!

Interesting range of foods, but seriously inconvenient store hours unless you live in the area or don't work for a living. Also really inconsistent stock, especially in the baked goods. I've been trying to pick up one item that as far as I know they're the only store that carries it and they have it in stock about one in ten visits, which are hard enough to do given their hours. Worse, their staff usually has no clear idea of when new stock will be in, making it a bit of a gamble to make the effort to go there. Price-wise, kind of all over the place. Some things you'd expect to be expensive are quite well priced, but then the things you'd expect to be cheap are very expensive. In honesty, I've kind of given up on it. Great if you're trendy (you use terms like "foodie" to describe yourself) but not really a place for practical Italian grocery shopping.

The day I went there was quite busy and crowded. When I was waiting for my checkout, I found that the cashier (girl) was giving out some chocolates and holiday greetings to the customers before me. But not to me! I bought a lot of stuff but she did say nothing, let alone chocolates. I don't miss any chocolates but the cashier should have treated every customer equally. Bosa foods has a lot of variety and competitive prices in SOME of their products. What is not so good is that they rely too much on their older Italian customers who religiously shop from them and over time Bosa will probably just become a supplier rather than retail. Their meat at this location is usually not so good. I get better meat at Cioffi's. They have good sandwiches/panini to eat at the store. I think they should just stick to building constructions at this point.

Large clean, organized store with plenty of parking. They feature mostly Italian food with an emphasis on their own label, Italissima. They have a wide selection of pastas, canned goods, kitchenware. They have a small butcher shop with fresh meats and sausages. Sausage flavours are both traditional and creative (chipotle chicken sausage is excellent). There is an expansive deli counter with all kinds of olives, cold cuts and cheeses, imported and domestic. Remember to take a number from the counter. There is often a wait at the deli counter here since everything is freshly sliced for you. Lots of frozen foods and meats. And there is a small sandwich and coffee bar in case you come hungry. Remember to bring your own grocery bags

Vancouver needs more stores like this. One of the best selections of fine deli outside of Granville Island. Lots of fantastic imported Italian and European groceries and snacks, great sandwiches to eat as lunch - with ample seating upstairs, and lots of drinks and pop. Nice meat counter, lots of good salami, frozen pasta, olives and other marinated vegetables. Good seed selection in early spring. Can get fresh olives for do it yourself, and grapes / juice too I believe. No produce (to speak of). Awesome.

While i have seen it many times driving by pn the highway, i never had a reason to try it until today...the hunt for toilet paper! Dont go to Bosa. Bosa is a large Italian deli so no produce, cleaning stuff or paper/diaper/toilet paper. Basically, specialty italian. A small bit of sea food, really small! Cheese fans rejoice, this joint rocks the cow world! Sausage or grill meat lovers....unite, cows and pigs run for your lives! Lots of sliced meats and the prosciutto, salami, and nice hams. Lots of prepared meals on the cooler, especially for party host's wanting canapes and such. Pasta and sauces and canned beans galore! Looked like some really nice breads and coffee lover desserts for dipping. Well, i've been there, likely not again as its a bit pricey forxme but its specialty stuff too. I may go back if they begin selling handrolled italian butt paper one day!

So it happens to have dry goods and sauces etc imported from Italy. But why so expensive? Today's shopper can have the same stuff delivered direct from Italy for less. The selection is mediocre and the atmosphere is tired and old. Not romantic and energetic which is what a normal person thinks when thinking Italian cuisine. Overpriced. Over-rated. Over..... next.

The lady who helped me out was fantastic ...I was hoping to find this creamy gorgonzola I had in northern italy and she knew immediatly ... found a couple other cheese to compliment it... it really is like being back in italy. Good prices and selection. Baked goods are low... but the rest of the store makes up for it. If you go...you must get some of thier fresh sausage they make. The long thin fennel sausage are amazing and the coiled pork & cheese sausage is equally great. Tinned specialty items are great. Yum!

Basically I found Bosa Foods to be over priced, disorganized, and too busy. I brought my elderly mother to the Kootenay location and she wanted a sandwich at their counter. They didn't even have a number counter! The employees were rushing my poor elderly mother to hurry up and place her order. People wanting to order were going ahead of her. It was chaotic and ridiculous! If my mother had a number then all would have to wait for their turn until she was done. Being Italian, Bosa is disgraceful I can certainly buy the same products for cheaper elsewhere. I won't be shopping there anymore.

I think Bosa has changed, it doesn't carry as much choices for pasta and tomato sauce like it used to. Looks like they're just selling 2 or 3 brands. However, they have an excellent meat section, lots of variety, pork, veal, beef, sausages, cheese and deli meats. Ordered an Americano from their Cafe and was realy good. Place was clean and well handled for crowds.

The deli and meat counter here is just great. it reminds me of the neighborhood butcher, with the quality and selection. It is so much better when you can get exactly the amount of meat you need instead of having to buy whatever is available. Also the price is very reasonable for the quality of meat you get. Lots of parking and even when busy they get you in and out quickly.

If you are far away from Vancouver or Vancouver is not easily accessible to you , and if you purchase a FOREVER Espresso maker from Bossa Foods, they will not ship the gasket seal ("O" ring) , nor does the manufacturer supply one to individual purchasers; so, you are stuck with an Espresso maker without the required gasket seal and not able to use it, as it won't function without one, unless you take a long trip to Vancouver to get one.

Good food, good service; only complaint I have is the absolutely glacial pace the older ladies behind the coffee counter work at, at the Vancouver location. I've been going here for years and no matter how busy it is, they work at the same casual, leisurely pace. You can go to a farm, butcher the cow, turn it into deli meat and make your own sandwich faster than it takes one of these ladies to heat a premade panini....

I can’t believe I waited so long to come to BOSA Foods. I absolutely love this place!!! Anything you can think of to make a big Italian feast you will definitely find here. And the best part is that their prices are amazing!!! I expected to pay WAY more than I did. And their sandwiches are to die for!!! I shop here now and then. They have a very good meat and deli section. Many different types of bread and cheese as well. They also have many different Italian specialties, candy and dessert. Different varieties of olive oil. I like the sandwiches they make, both the meat and the vegetarian sandwiches. On Tuesdays they make pasta for lunch. Couple of different pasta noodles with 3 or more choices of sauces with a bottled drink cost under $10. It is quite popular. The place is busy during the early lunch hour. Sometime the line up is a bit long. But it is worth the wait. The staff is friendly.
