I buy most of my groceries at Costco, but this place is convenient when I need something small. The produce selection is pretty good, but the quality isn't always great. We notice things going bad all the time.

Prices are at the higher end of mainstream grocery stores. Hours aren't as good as the bridgeport location (24hrs there) Not the biggest deli or fresh seafood selection ever Otherwise, good availability of a variety stuff, most things are fresh and of good quality. Air miles can be collected and redeemed here which is nice. Lines usually aren't very long, which is nice. Plus students get 10% off on Tuesdays, which is cool.

I go here weekly. The employees (at least the younger ones) have a quirky smirky way about them and it seems like they enjoy being there together. The fruit and veg is pretty decent and I like that they have a fair sized section for veg options (I think there are a lot of vegetarian ppl in the area, sometimes they sell out of veg products).

After two years of shopping here, I've lots of good things to say about this store and its employees - always impressed how much it feels like a community. However, I am leaving this particular review because of the beer. Sobeys Columbia offers an outstanding selection of choice brews from local breweries, with an abundance of IPAs. Who's to thank for this? TJ. What a great guy - friendly and knowledgeable. I once pointed out to him that he was missing a lovely IPA from an Ontario brewery (Life in the Clouds from Collective Arts Brewing) and he responded instantly, "What's the name? I'll bring it in" - and there it was the next week and ever since. Subsequent conversations reinforce that his beer selection is a priority and source of pride. Thanks TJ for going the extra mile to show us locals what good customer service looks like, especially when combined with expert product knowledge and a friendly demeanour.

I don't shop here or know the staff, so not rating any of that. I rented a steam cleaner from here and it sucks. Don't rent the steam cleaners from here. Go to Canadian tire. They have a Bissel and it is amazing! The steam cleaner from Sobeys did absolutely nothing and the set up was awkward and really hard to push across the carpet. The Bissel from CT took everything out and was light to push and carry around, super powerful and heavy duty. My carpets look brand new!

I was berated by Melissa today at the first register closest to the door for two minutes in front of everyone for not wishing to purchase lottery tickets. I was purchasing two items, iced cream and Gluten Free Bagels, both available at any other store. I walk with a mobility aid (cane) and I am unable to lift, bend or twist. The treatment of people with disabilities by this individual is infuriating. This staff member could have kindly asked me to use a different till as that one was meant for lottery purchases, but instead went on to tell me about how the change was made 'last year' as if I a new resident who has shopped there twice before should have known?! I will not return, and I will pay a dollar more for my bagels and iced cream than go to a store that employs people so ignorant towards people of different abilities.

Usually I would rate this 5star. Today the self checkout machine was telling me I hadn't put my item in the bag....but I did. This happened repeatedly...so much so that I am now considering using only people manned checkouts because that are faster. My check out took me 20 mins because every second item had to be over-ridden and the lady rummaged through my items to verify I hadn't stole a pepper or cellary.

I like this Sobeys especially because they always have a pretty good selection of vegan items. They have lots of variety of everything. But sometimes I do find their fresh fruits and vegetable are smaller in comparison to other grocery stores. A clean facility with decent selection. It has pretty much all the food items that a student would need, albiet at a price premium compared to other places. For example, ground beef here is twice the price as ground beef bought from Costco. Service here is also decent, but slow. Yes they have sales but most are for multiple items instead of .50 cents off like other stores. Services are good, post office, flower shop. Right next to the Lcbo. It's a very clean store with a large selection of goods. I've noticed that often times you pay a lot more compared to places like Walmart or FreshCo. I guess for some people the convenience and shopping experience is worth the extra cost. But for most broke college students stick to Walmart.

Premium supermarket. So expect above average regular prices, fresh meats, seafood, bakery and food items. Decent variety. The place looks good. Students can get a 10% discount on their overall bill on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

This place is unbelievably disgusting. For weeks their fruits section had fruit flies... I wish I was kidding... and nobody cared. I ever see this again I am going to call the health department and have this place closed, it's just wrong.

Do not buy the Chinese food!!!! Sweat and sour pork had no meat.. Lemon chicken strips had no meat... Rice wasn't cooked... I basically spent 15$ to throw food immediately into the garbage... such a shame...

Like this Sobeys mainly because it is close and we are friendly with the staff due to our frequency. However the parking lot is not friendly or convenient. I suspect due to volume. But definitely because of the Dominos drivers speeding in and out. They are always trying to squeeze in front on the way out instead of getting in line with everyone else.

This sobeys is beyond disappointing went in at 9:45pm and ask for some sliced meat at the deli and the guy at the counter had the nerve to say it was closed and when I went to the front to speak to another employee this lady gave me so much attitude about the deli, keep in mind the close at 11pm!! I asked to speak to a manager and she refused to contact the manager on duty, I will be contacting head office about this issue.

Beware , before buying any bakery /bread items please double check the expiry. Even before eating . It happened to me (it was started rotten while it was under expiry date) . After multiple arguments , customer care had returned it finally. Not at all a good experience.
