Apart from the fact it’s has all the Indian groceries at one place I love the Indian sweet sections..fresh as you would want it. Visited the store recently, they have also started a summer section for gardening with plants and saplings. Friendly and helpful staff. The store is neat and clean !

There’s plenty of Indian grocery items — almost any cooking spices, “masala”, ready mixes and raw materials like pulses and grains can be found here. They also have a counter to serve freshly prepared delicious Indian sweets! Go on a Friday to grab the best! Their “samosas” are a must-try, not to mention other snacks that can make your mouth water :-). The price on all of the items is very reasonable. They also have a wide variety of vegetables, some of which are specific to Indian cuisine (like drum stick, etc). Lastly, they have a small collection of Indian traditional clothing, most of them for ladies, Although Brampton is your to-go place for that kind of merchandise!

Decent Onkar location, slightly smaller than the one down the road off of Victoria. The samosas/pakora/etc don’t seem to be made fresh here/weren’t hot when purchasing, which is fine if you are reheating later. There also seems to be a greenhouse of sorts and a UHaul key drop off here. Gravel parking available, located just past the round about off of Ira Needles.

I've been to most of the onkars stores int ge area n this one had everything I needed but one thing that set this store apart was it's Indian sweets. They were so much more fresher and lots more variety than many of the other onkars stores. Good service too.

Amazing place for Indian sweets and savouries. I love the samosas, motichoor laddoos and gulab jamuns from here. They also have fresh vegetables and fruits apart from the grocery fare. Last year I got a lot of Indian Tulsi, marigold, eggplant and okra plants from their nursery that grew really well and gave great flowers and produce. This year I got the Indian chillies and eggplant. I love this place for it's proximity to Kitchener and the Ira needles area.

Nice clean Indian grocery store with a huge selection of...everything! Specially their fresh made desserts, snacks and savories are a real delight and treat! Bought a few of those (Samosas, Punjabi Mathari, Kalakand) and a few others. Very helpful folks.

I go there for the samosas. They arguably have the best in-store made samosas. Whatever time of the day you there, you are guaranteed to get fresh samosas. They also have a decent collection of Indian sweets. Was disappointed with their Chana Batura though. The staff definitely need a crash course in hospitality.

Worst indian store. Extremely expensive. Almost every item is overcharged by at least 40%. On top of that they charge wrongly. Items would be priced at 99 or 97 cents but while billing they will round of the amount. Theives!

Always a good experience at Onkar. Wish you had a washroom. Then I could have spent a little more time in the store instead of having to rush my daughter back home. But that isnt your promise to start with, so no complaints, just a suggestion.

Found some good stuff. Glad to have a store near by that sells South Asian items in Waterloo. Really enjoyed the Samosas which were delicious and great pricing and the so was the laddu. The only thing I wish is that there was more variety of South Asian spices. Couldn't find some that I needed. Also, they also had a huge selection of plants. I didn't get a chance to check them out though.

Friendly staff behind the counter. She encouraged me to try a sample of veggie pakora after I inquired about the fresh handmade samosa. Gotta say I wasn't disappointed! There is a small selection of fresh produce and dairy. The store is mostly boxed and bagged whole foods (rice, spices, etc.) I'm glad it's close though because I'll return for the pakora alone!

The rates of the fruits and vegetables are high. They have kept the old and stale snacks. Please see the manufacturing date before purchasing from them. Their samosas are sooooo oily that it drips while eating. I am giving one star for the location and one star cleanliness

In Kitchener there are two Onkar stores. This particular branch doesn't seem to have all the variety which is available at their other location. One of the oldest and best store for desi groceries, sweets and fresh samosas.

I visit often both the stores.. the recently open is still at an infant's age, still growing but neat and tidy.. helpful staff. The older one ... is well catered with delicious spicy food and grocery. In store cooked meals are yummy. Gone there to purchase fruits and vegetables? I personally will not buy fruits for two reasons, prices scare me away and quality at times quality needs a careful look. Staff is very helpful. Well catered on spices.
