Ordered soup, fries and wings .Found waitress to be distracted, but fairly polite and efficient. Soup was excellent as were the fries however my chicken wings were terrible. Half cooked and after requesting their hottest wings I was found the sauce to be as spicy as a piece of toast. Would not recommend.

Great family-friendly restaurant with easy off-the-highway access, lots of parking and spots to sit. Tasty comfort food, all day breakfast is a favourite of my 6 year old’s. The appetizers could come out faster, to wait 20 mins for an appetizer seems a bit long, and to have it arrive less than 5 minutes before our main defeats the purpose of the appetizer. Other than an improvement to timing, it’s a great place and we still go frequently

Amazing Breakfast Place. tried their chef special "The Peterbilt" It was fulfilling. The place was packed in the morning on Sunday. It took a little while before our order was ready but the wait was worthwhile. The food and the ambience is great. Must visit if you are in the area...!!!

My 76 year old mother and myself walked into Gillies and tries to ask the waitress if we wait to be seated or just get our own seat. Both waitresses saw us walk in the door and proceeded to ignore us. So when I finally got up asked if we could have some service she told me I had to pay for my meal before we could get served. It was a big line at the cash and I had to wait in line just to get more information only to find out that we were to find her own seat. When I asked the waitress if we could get some table service she proceeded to say that because it was Friday the 13th that everybody was grouchy today. Then her and the other waitress proceeded to talk amongst themselves about grouchy customers. I'll never go back there again.

Really disappointed with my last visit. This was my go to place when going through the tri-towns. Seems they have no concerns with the pandemic. the place was packed but when they offered us a seat in the entrance next to the cash the tables were well spaced so it looked okay. Shortly after we got our menu people (six in the first group)started going by with no masks and nobody did anything about it. When the next wave of clients leaving came by they had to wait in line to pay and two of the 10 or so with no mask just stood next to us we got up and left. Just thankful we had not ordered yet because I hated to walk out but their total disregard for the protocols they should have in place made it unbearable. I will go back but not until the pandemic is under control.

Just had a quick bite at Gillis. It did not disappoint. Barb, our server, was pleasant, informative, expedient and almost psychic. She can read a situation and know exactly what is desired/wanted. The food was on point and delicious. We both had custom crispy chicken wraps with poutine, coffee and drinks. We even decided to take a piece of coconut cream pie with us for a treat later tonight. The peice is huge. I mean Trump HUGE! Totally excited to rip into that later. The restaurant was clean and tidy. We cannot wait to stop in again on our next trip through town.

The girl behind the counter really didnt care nor show any sort of knowledge about what might be in something. We had dinner on 08/16/20 at about 7pm. Soup was potato bacon and it was very good. Had philly steak sandwich and while not traditional, it was awesome. Very fast service. Was surprised at how fast food came. Only negative was fries were a little soggy. Similar to swiss chalet fries.

I always loved stopping here but now I've stopped twice and not impressed just had the worst pickerel dinner I've ever had cost me 30 bucks still hungry. Had a hamburger last week I could have made the same thing better at home and it was also overpriced used to get your money's worth but now I'd rather go across the road or to McDonalds

We always stop here on our way back from Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Nellie Lake, etc.. and we just love it. LOVE IT, the service is the fastest I've ever seen, (talking about getting your plate less than 5 minutes after you order) and the staff are always friendly and wonderful, place is kept very clean and the atmosphere is like home. Great truck stop!! Would give more stars if I could.

We drove around town looking for another restaurant and could not locate it. Someone told us to try here. The diner just happened to be right by the Holiday Inn where we stayed. Dinner was amazing. All comfort food we had was amazing. Server was super friendly. I'm sure we'll be back :-)

Worst meal ever. ordered 2 burger patters for take out to bring to the hospital, when opened them they were sitting in pools of grease. so gross the dog will not even eat it. I recommend to go to the Husky across the road as I will never waste another dollar at a Gilli's Truck stop again

I ate there with my family on Sunday. We waited quite a while for the waitress to come to our table and give us a menu and take our drink order. It took her a very long time to take our food order, and did not come back for refills. We had to track her down to get it. The food did not all come at the same time and we had to go get our own utensils from the servers area and refills for water. The food was good.

Based on "2" transactions... First transaction was ideal. Fantastic shipping container as ordered, great price, delivered in a timely fashion. Such a good experience, I tried to buy a second. That was a disaster. Having agreed upon the purchase of second container and having sent the wire payment over, I was told (1) the container was no longer available and they had to find another (2) they had no record of any transaction being agreed (3) the price was ~$700 higher now. Having been the Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations for US multinationals such as Salesforce, eBay, and First Solar, I have seldom experienced such poor business practices. It's not the money, it's the principle. I'd rather pay more to a company I trust which is what I will do now. The two transactions were conducted with two different people. Make sure you get the right person, otherwise you could be disappointed or the price may change.

Called to make sure that they were ok with a group of 6 people going in 25 min before closing, were told that it was ok. Cashier wasn't happy though, and all we got were hotdogs and poutine. I was double charged for the 3 of us and all hotdogs were wrong! Couldn't eat mine due to allergies. Of course nobody would answer the phone so we couldn't get them redone, in New Liskerd alot for work and will NEVER GO BACK! Some other crew members said their food was messed up as well. Very disappointing especially when we were told it was great

Normally fairly good but on the pricey side, but this time it was a train reck. I order the montreal-style smoked meat sandwich, and what i got was the furthest thing from it. Four thinly sliced pieces of smoke meat on half toasted /mostly soggy bread with mustard is not a Montreal smoked meat sandwich. My truck will just keep on rolling on past next time

As usual the service is great and the food very tasty and the servings are for big appetites. Last visit I had chicken parmesan and could not eat it all! This time I hd fosh and chips (single piece) and filled me up.I am a 200# guy with a healthy appetite. If you are in the New Liskeard area it is a "must try". You won't be disappointed.

Arrived at 8:30 Saturday evening - they said they where closed - it states they are open until nine pm. State that you are only open to 8:30 pm on your web page so I and others don't waste our time stopping.
