Sometimes it smells a but funky. It is likely the drains for the chiller bunkers. I like the meat selection. Usually cut well. A bit lacking in selection but it is a small store. As a Sobeys subsidiary it does have good sales.

For meat I would give this place 5 stars for price and quality, and they have a decent selection of most items, including good weekly sales items. I really like the staff there, they are more like seeing your neighbour. I mainly stick to meat, dairy and bread items there, unless there is a sale. For fresh produce I still head to the market or discount grocery stores, and they do seem to be able to kill just about any plant, but it is a wonderful, neighbourly store.

It's in close proximity to my residence, but I never had actually taken a moment to browse the aisles. I did today! It's fantastic! Lots of variety! The prices seem a bit higher than walmart or food basics but it's worth it! The produce is really fresh and appealing!

Nice little neighbourhood grocery store. It has everything you need in terms of basics, and their fresh meats are of very high quality. This store is definitely one of a dying breed, as every other grocery store tends to always be growing bigger and bigger. Here you can get what you need, and you are in and out quickly. Staff are very friendly too.

Locals I've spoken to find it to be a bit expensive with not that great of a selection, and I have to agree with that. However it's a small place located much closer to downtown than the big supermarkets which are all on the outer edge of the city. The only comparable place closer to downtown is a pharmacy / grocery store that is even more expensive with less selection.

The scariest grocery store for miles. They've added new staff, I think the florescent lighting killed off the poor regular staff. The prices are insane, and I always feel depressed after going there.

I'm kinda torn about this place. The food seems to be great, I'm just not happy with the prices of their food. Why, you say? Well, because the people who live in that area of Stratford are not wealthy at all. Every penny counts more so than those that have money to burn. There are bigger food stores for them to go to for sure but when people are poor they can't afford a car either. But like I did say in the beginning, the food us good quality.

I live close and frequently use Foodland, often service is great and Steve is always smiling and pleasure to deal with or talk to when coming in. I have been in several times recently and realised some of the younger staff abusing the use of cellphones, the most frequent situation was going to the Deli and standing there for 3-5 min until I finally said Hello anyone there, a head popped out of the corner near the freezer and she then proceeded to finish her text message or game or whatever... she kind of glared funny at me as if I was inconveniencing her, I said how are you and she replied what can I get you? I took my order and thanked her for her time. I proceeded to check out where they always ask if I have airmiles and then realised after I left that night my air miles didn't get any points- no big deal. I called the next day to address the issue about the girl in the deli and left a message for a manager to call me back, they did not call back, I called one more time and left my name and number a second time and still no response. Therefore I figured it was acceptable to write a review. Will I continue shopping here? Likely for convenience factor Should this issue be addressed. I sure hope so.

Was told by a friend that the stuffed mushrooms would be out at a certain time. I went a bit later, they weren't out. I asked 2 girls at cash where I might find them. She said "umm they would he in the fresh produce." I said "no kidding." Reponse, "they will probably be out by tomorrow.." I laughed and walked out. As I was leaving my friend said "oh they are getting put out now." But it was too late, Foodland = ????

This is a good place to go to get your groceries, but you have to know your prices to know whether or not your getting a deal. They are a 24 hour grocery store so the convenience of that is really nice, but that is realised also through their prices. It's a little dated for a grocery store, but it's where I feel is a great place to get your grocery shopping done at any hour of the day.

I have a lot.of issues with milk there. I buy a bag of milk that gas an expiry date for example of Aug. 1 and its bad come July 20th. It's not our fridge. It makes me wonder if it's.being stored properly in the store or in transit. Milk should not be curdling or going bad 2 weeks before the best before date
