This Fruit Store is included in the category of Grocery store.
They're low on food and the shelves are looking empty. I ask for a certain item and no one wants to help. Twice I've had to go to other no frills that out of my way. But they have no problem getting times I need. Well I guess no one cares at that one anymore.
Good deals no bags kills me
Insulating work. Will never go back
Okay most of the time but at times items in the produce section are not shelved and only the bruised and rotten stuff is left.
I regularly get groceries here but I'm very disappointed with what I saw today. As soon as I walk into the store I witness an employee picking up a lime off the GROUND and placing it in with the rest. Disgusting, if you handle food that way I wonder how you handle the current pandemic. Another problem was all the packages of chicken were covered in slime. I'll now drive to Simcoe to get my groceries thank you very much.
I had a bad experience I recently bought a bunch of nice looking carrot which where all rotten. I dont know who to blame or report for this as this is a serious health and safety issue. It looks so good from outside but once i open the pack for cooking i could easily squeeze it as it was that badily rotten.
Watch expiry dates. Stock issues. Staff are friendly and helpful though.
I go to Mike's for a ,,break,, from visiting relatives
The young fellow that helped us with chips (bitsandbites) this morning was awesome!! Definitely future management!
Nicely redone inside the store. Easier access to produce. I like the new set up
My experience was not really nice cause there were no red onions bag and yogurt at that time. So little bit disappointed but they were following the COVID-19 protocols that was a plus
What can i say? Its No Frills lol. Great selection of products at very good prices. Lots of parking at this location at it's located in a plaza. Be sure to check the flyer as they constantly have sales.
Everytime i visit, they dont have things available and tags should be placed according to flyer
Shopping made easy
Great store great prices and they were one amazing cashier her name is BeBe
Disappointed during covid. I don't normally shop at No Frills because it's not as convenient as my grocery store near by. I had a gift card, so I decided to venture there. I know at the grocery chain I shop at, they greet you with sanitizer and wipe your cart down for you. I saw a paper towel dispenser by the carts, but no cleaning solution. I didn't see hand sanitizer anywhere. The store seemed like it had more than the capacity, people were all over the place and it was difficult to social distance. The displays were nice though, I guess I just went during a busy time. I didn't even see the person counting how many people should be entering the store on the way out.
Terrible the cashier was rude, store is very dirty. I usually go to the no frills on port Union the staff is much nicer, also the store is very clean and up dated.
Every grocery store has their specials and focus of pricing. Yes Joe's No Frills has a bit better pricing than everyone else, But WAY more importantly, Joe and his wife help the WEST HILL community like no body else. I know because I went to West Hill public school. And when we asked stores in the neighborhood to help out with charity drives, stores like the Dollar store and Bulk Barn just said a flat NO. But Joe was awesome. And not just with us, he helps other community groups as well. So I think people should help Joe and shop there. Not just because it's cheaper, but because Joe helps us.
Good prices on groceries
Great place to shop could have more cashiers working. Clean store and well stocked unlike other no frills stores that I have been to
I come here for all my groceries. It's close, had everything I need and great prices.
Either packed with shoppers or 1 or 2 tills open
Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Variety of products. Clean and organized store.
I was impressed with the variety of produce here! There were some vegetables that I haven't really seen elsewhere, like raw horseradish and daikon. I didn't go through the whole store but every section that I was in had a lot of selection. Decent prices too. It's a small store but it certainly met my needs and again, great variety.
I like that it's situated next to Shoppers Drugmart. I realized that they don't always have everything like other stores. Some prices are not as cheap as before thanks too Covid 19.
Good prices and selection
My visit was very fast, I took no time to access much.
Store is fine but line up to get out is ridiculous on the weekend Only 5 registers
Right now in our new normal the line up is always backed up to the beginning of the freezers. They always have the sale items and are very friendly at every check out. I think they should have more registers open
Great Service even better prices
Amazing staff that are always willing to make your day brighter with there tik toks videos and smiling faces If you have tik tok you should look up Joseph's No frills and you won't be disappointed with their videos
Staff are helpful and they have good stuff too
Could use a better selection but good
Friendly staff.
Good experience cashiers very helpful
Perfect location. Good variety, great deals!
Great store! I am a firm believer in shopping locally. You can get most anything you need.
Rob&Joe no frills is closer to me and they are lacking. Joseph has all the frozen seafood, multi cultural seasoning, snacks and foods. I wish my no frills which is 10minutes from me was like Joseph's which is half hour away, had that many varieties.
Good
Good prices. It isn't a very big store so the selection is somewhat limited.
I would have given them 5 stars but some of their cashiers are rude to the customers as they were cashing out
Lot's of choices. Staff is courteous
Love shopping here, great owner, amazing staff and of course great prices!
Best grocery store in Port Dover
This is a good store if this is the one I'm thinking of that has some organic food they have a big huge section. Always check the dates on the food. (Edit, not the store with organic stuff I was thinking of another store. This area is not good.) Also, check dates they sell some expired food. People who go to this store are often RUDE GHETTO DWELLERS.
With these hard times they always are making sure shelves are stocked. They always have a smile on there faces. I just want to say Thank You for all your hard work during this time.
I like this location because it doesn't get as packed with customers and they usually have everything I need its clean and the cashiers are fast the staff are all super nice and helps out as much as they can when u ask
The lineup area needs to be worked out as customers have to cut across the line near counter 1 and it was causing people to cut in line as they didn't know where the end of the line up was.
For a small community it has everything you need.
Best prices, great selection, quality product and nice people. I pass multiple grocery stores on my way here. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
Clean and well organized. Reasonable prices for quality.
Love what they have done to this place, it’s very organized and for the most part, clean. The customer service is good and the stocks are good, just not items on sales; which is reasonable. Good to see that this store has improved because I still remember how it use to be.
Hey Joe sold it to Mike?! This mainstream location popular with the soul crowd.
The Flash Food pickup here is great!
Basic grocery. A bit small, but they seemed to stock most everything and it's clean.
The line ups are ALWAYS long and have minimum cashiers. Their baked goods are sometimes very moldy. The staff are rude and the manager is extremely ruder.
Always clean and organized!
Prices and food choices are surprising good compared to No Frills in downtown Toronto. And they close late like 10 pm.
Very slow staff at the cash counters.
Nicely stocked. I always find everything I am looking for
I find that this store has alot of expired food on the shelves. This week it was the prepared fruit loaves, I showed the expired loaves to the assistant manager and he said and did nothing at all back to me. Once the Manager Joe came into work I told him about it and he quickly acted to clear up the issue. Another time, it was the prepared muffins had mold on them. Also another issue in this store is the prices are constantly not matching up from the shelf price and the register price. The best thing for this store is that the cashiers are very friendly and helpful. Awesome job Krystal.
Good place but not always fast billing sometimes we have to wait compared to other no frills..
New owner is doing great. EVERY cashier is open. Line-ups are cleared quickly and Covid protocol is carefully followed. Watch out for best before dates, especially in the Meat Department. Excellent prices, produce and people.
Good products and good customer service, but be ready to wait on a long line.
Good place to shop.
This is a really nice store
Stocks are limited. Not a bad place for grocery but certainly not the best. Also, a lot of homeless people sit around inside and outside the Frills.
It's No frills. Advertised sale items are no avail, shopping cart no good, coin insert in most of them damaged. Castors no good either, don't roll in right direction. The cart shed no clean, too dirty, all trash thrown there. Half of cashier no smile. Next time I go, I'll take and post a picture. Summary: Average store.
Interesting characters at this location. Plant selection was very sad the day I was there.
Rude cashier . Told me to shut up for no reason . Old lady with the brown hair . Can’t mind her own business and do her damn work .
Clean, Organized, but staff could be more cheerful.
You would think that the prices would be better here but they're are more expensive than fortinos in Vaughan. Not well organized, not enough staff and the most annoying part of no frills is that they dont accept Visa. Step into the 21st century No Frills.
Honestly I HATE having to come here. Especially since Covid. I have no idea why it’s the only grocery store in the county that doesn’t have a separate line for the express lane!!! I have to line up half way down the freezer isle, behind people with full carts, when I have 2 items. It makes ZERO sense, especially when the checkout literally had an “express lane” sign. Also, not the best selection of anything. Barely any nondairy creamers, natural foods, there’s FOUR SHELVES of pads, and 1 shelf with only 3 different kinds of tampons (one of them being cardboard!). I avoid going here at all costs, I will drive to simcoe for a better experience.
The store is very small, doesn't have all the variety. It also doesn't follow all the covid precautions like other no frill stores like que directions, making mask mandatory for customers.
This store is okay but nothing special. They have all the basics you would need but the store isn't as nice as others in the area. They don't carry fine filtered milk like Natrel or Lactantia pure filter so I often shop at a different store. They do have good sales often which is why I continue to shop here.
They don't take Visa. Who doesn't take Visa these days?
The prices are alright . They do have the odd time with expire dates and also veggies are not always fresh . Customer service is great with the staff , very friendly .
Fast checkout in a very busy store ????
I travel to this location when I need a huge amount of grocery because this location is usually stocked and not sold out of certain items.
Is ok to do groceries here is convenient located in a strip mall Food Basic is in the same strip also more choices
I live locally but won't be shopping there anymore. No Express line. Old people died in the line police. I'm not standing in line behind 15 people with 50 things for three items. Terrible job terrible job. On my way to Walmart can get in and get out express lines no bull. You can also get in out of Sobeys in less than 5 minutes. Why would I go back there?
Always helpful personnel. Great prices,too!
Good parking spots available. Lots of counters for billing. Better than most no frills
worst grocery store in norfolk county..expired food and no selection even the employees are terrible..few choices in the area though.
Nice store and we'll stocked.
This is a fairly big and well-stocked NoFrills. Much better than Hagersville.
This location usually has some good sales going on. However, the site is poorly maintained, Kinda. Very affordable if that's what you are looking for.
They have really worked hard to turn this store around. The owner and his wife are good people and they have a dedicated team that works well together. Shelves are usually stocked well. CHECK THEM OUT ON TIKTOK
Nice... clean. ..got what I was looking for
Good place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables... I Recommend to take a visit
This is a ‘no frills’, so it’s simpler, less frills than the average grocery store. It’s great to have in this community, decent quality and prices, comparatively. It does need to expand in size as this community continues to grow. Sadly I stopped shopping here when I replaced my PC MasterCard because my device was outdated and I couldn’t access my account. I got my credit union card… visa… and then found out they don’t accept visa.
First time at this location. Had a great experience. Very clean and speedy service.
- Clean establishment. - friendly staff - usually good on stock - their price match list is small compared to some other major retailers
A very big surprise. Very good deals on good food bit pop and junk food was double ! I was impressed with their fresh fruit and vegetables. They had very good deals on fish and chicken. Beef was expensive.
Staff good, out of stock of sales but great prices on what they have.
Clean friendly price is not always great.
Good little store for none perishables, the fruits, vegetables and meats aren't that fresh and don't fair well after a day or so of being bought
This is one of the only No Frills I am willing to go to because it is clean. But it is always extremely busy and many items are sold out on the weekends.
Line up around the store, 3 cashiers working - manager not monitoring to ensure customers in and out in a timely manner. Port Dover could use some competition.
like any other no frills, has every day use items. prices better than my local store.
Love No Frills. Visit one whenever I'm in the same town
As No Frills go, this one is kind of small. It also seems poorly organized. Same deals as most locations and carts still only require a quarter here but there are better choices in the area.
Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable prices.
I found all I needed without issues. The staff was quite helpful; shelves were well stock
Got a bag of corn and called it a night. 10/10
Customer services is good. most popular items but not all are available
Nice store, polite staff!
From out of town. Had 2 items that I had to grab quick. They made me wait in a huge line with people who had full carts and wouldn't let me use the express lane. Such disorganization. I hope you realize you're the only store in Ontario that does this. Dummys.
Clean store and friendly staff
They have self checkout now, rearranged store, feels bigger now, they made produce area larger
We always do grocery from here
Good prices. Friendly staff.
have to say with the Covid situation they are doing a great job!! Would rather drive to Dover to go there than other larger stores. Staff is great and friendly.
Good prices and sales. I haven't seen them run out of many things I needed. I never have a quarter for a cart, so that's kind of annoying.
Good deals, clean store, some days need more than or 2 cashiers working to move line along quickly
For as busy as it sometimes gets here they tills were all open and moved everyone quickly. Well stcocked and clean.
Really good deals, but the shelves are usually sold out of the sales
All in one grocery
Its a great store great selection but there are times the shelves are empty and it's annoying they hardly have feminine products but other than that its a great srore
Great place for items on low cost.
I shop here for the same items as Super store but are usually cheaper here. Clean and usually well stocked but main reason is prices.
The line up to pay wasn't too long this time. I try to choose my visits better to avoid peak times and peak risk.
Head in for 1 item head to EXPRESS check out. 8min later. Staff need to educate shoppers "this is the EXPRESS check out 1-12 max items. Women in front of me 32 items. Staff is quick to ask any bags , points card, want donate to..... cant say sorry you have more then 12 items next please
Nice shop. Very clean, tidy. All the goods are found. Fresh. Cheap. Movement restricted entrance. Huge parking lot. Wash basin is also available ..
Great place good deals
really like shopping there love the staff and how organized it is
Nice to have the grocery store in town.
Terrible parking lot and I've always been confronted by a 10 person line at minimal cashes open. I'd say I walked back out after seeing this half the time. I quit going a year ago
Good prices and friendly staff
Not best organized place for grocery ,but cashiers really fast and kind.
25 people in line and 1 cashier!
Good selection of products but the shelves can be pretty messy sometimes.
Pretty clean. Lots of good prices that beat Superstore hands down. Plus they give and collect pc optimum points! Might be shopping here for groceries more often!
Friendly staff, fairly clean store. Great prices
Produce are ok. They have some good sales and vegan food options you can't find at other grocery stores.
What's the point of the express line? Why must ppl wait long yomt to check out 3 iyemi. They need cashirrs that can work fast pace. They regular line was going faster smh
It's like the other locations you've probably visited. The one difference (quite convenient for my family lifestyle) is having a meat/seafood shop inside. Cutting and cleaning meat isn't my thing, so paying a bit extra does saves you time in the kitchen. Place and products are mostly clean, organized and properly labeled. Because it's such a central location in the heart of Scarborough expect big lineups after 5:30pm on weekdays and morning and early afternoon hours on weekends.
Good Department store, but the Breads and Fresh food selection is a bit week by the time its 6 o clock. Also hate the long queues to pay as there are only 2 counters open even at a busy hour.
Good piece ah man of the. Nofrills mine i become a store manager. I almost became manager at food basics CUZ I WAS THAT GOOD THAT QUICK THAT INTELLIGENT
It is easy to shop here because they have sales items in stock. They also price match, so you don't have to go to many different stores to get the best prices.
Port Dover's best grocery store for the 2nd year in a row!
Filled my cart for 200$ cant say i can do that anywhere else.
I like this no frills because it's super close to my house. Also usually they have folks on the express checkout counter which speeds up the whole thing if you are just dropping by for a quick something to grab.
They struggle to have the right number of tills open at busy times.
Joseph's No Frills Ask the community I just came in this No Frills to be treated very poorly as just Googled the closing time of this store and it stated it closed at 8Pm. I came in the store and was told it was closed and there closing at 7pm now as she sucked her teeth at me wow.
If you want to get in a fight with homeless people and a cart hitting your car go there
During this times, I think there doing the best possible so every day I find it is only certain days that lines accure.
Because it's the only grocery store we have.
Very friendly staff and great prices
This no frills is open till 10. If you drop in for a quick shopping be prepared for the lineup at cash. They only have 3 open at a time so you'll have to wait longer
Well. The overall atmosphere is that of a pow or refugee camp. I may be inexperienced, but, i have never been in a grocery store that doesnt have premium brands. Poor people like to feel like people as well
Big, clean and very organized. One of the most organized and clean NoFrills I have been to.
Compared to other NoFrills around, this one is really big and have huge selection of items. As well, it is well equipped with a very spacious parking lot. I have seen many items on Sale, whenever I visited this store. Cashiers are friendly as well but it becomes really busy at some point of time. ????
Ok but very busy and doesn't have all the selection
Eric him self says he is manager at Nofrilss but his attitude towards customer is not trustworthy. Failed to answer the questions. Always long line up poor management I never preferr to go and waste my time.
Adequate. Good staff, fast cash. Often out if stock on staple items like hot dog buns. Also oos on ad items all week long, then plenty once the price goes back up.
Sale items are sold out on the second day most of the time. Edit: Price match is updated with fewer stores. Danforth Foodmarket , Top Food Superstore is removed from this list! Customer service is improved at this location. Cashiers are friendly on recent visits!
Most of the cashiers are friendly & kind. The only bad thing is they don't carry my dogs kibble anymore ????
The store isn't exactly teeming with various products, but it has the staples, and almost always has sales.
Cashiers provide great customer service, produce is never bad, store is very clean and organized and there seems to be always enough people working so you can get help while shopping. Just a great grocery store.
Parking lot close and wheelchair access. Not too busy, fast pace. Good prices and everything there for the kitchen.
Really hot young men working there! Plus they have LDPE produce and grocery bags!! The yellow colour of their grocery bags is nice!!!
Lettus, berries, beef and chicken never look fresh... Might aswell be an m&m meats with just frozen or boxed food
This place is getting better with a lot more variety and better products. It's much cleaner than it was
Come on Mike, cashiers should not be considered a frill
I'm telling ya it's the most reasonably priced grocery store in Norfolk County...
Good place with good produce, friendly prices and courteous employees. You earn points for your purchase.
Great store, but if they ban shopping bags they'll get a one star and loose my business.
Unable to purchase no name frozen juice for aleast 2 weeks and no name 12 ginger ale cans. Disturbing.
This is a pretty clean store theme for the amount of traffic that goes through it very busy little place but fairly easy to find help there's always a man stocking shelves
This No Frills is my go to place for groceries, lines are long sometimes but they move fast. The staff are polite. …
Friendly staff well laid out store
Hello, I went to the store today and bought rani juices, there was no sign advising whether there is a limit on the product in store or the flyer, but was told that it is company policy to not sell more than 12 items at a time,I told the cashier that I can come back and buy it if it is not possible at the time and she should ask her manager if he is okay with it or not, She sold me 24 as per her manager advised, but when I came back after putting the product to my car,was told I can not buy more since I already bought 24 of them,I asked the lady to call her manager,so I might be able to speak to him and reason with him,Manager was even more rude then the cashier,He came out without any pleasantries or asking what the problem was kept saying he can not sell that product to me since they know I bought it before,I asked him one last time whether he would change his mind or not and he said in rude manner I will not sell it to you,I left the store at that time but came back after few hours to return the product. If there is a limit it should be specified on the flyer or on the shelf where the product is stored. The manager is rude the employees are okay and do what they are told,I don't blame them but they will learn from their leader soon enough,Would have given negative rating if it was available.
Good products, good prices, open on holidays
When I used to live in Toronto, I would always go to Joseph's No Frills right in the busy intersections of Kingston and Morningside since it only takes five minutes from my home! There is everything you need! Well-stocked! Great place for grocery shopping! Very tidy and clean! Organized! Very spacious! Helpful and courteous employees! Great customer service! ????
Great staff ! And they have a washroom open to public which important especially nowadays and especially with lil ones! Thanks guys!!!
I've always loved this location until I realized the store manager (Joseph) has a poor sense of judgement when he profiled my sister as a shoplifter. I want to inform you we’ve been loyal shoppers for awhile but today he felt the need to embarrass her, by following her out the store and questioning her intentions after she PURCHASED her items. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Always busy and kinda messy when you go shopping. Staff always looks sad and depressed.
Amazing and huge store with variety of grocery options. I agree with 'can't beat' it.
one n only groceries store where I do my shopping. spacious store
Could have a little more selection and prices could be a little more reflective of No Frills but nice enough and friendly staff
Mike and his Team are always friendly and helpful!
Ok prices compared to Sobeys, but no meat counter.
Good place to shop. And the prices are low.
Amazing staff, very courteous. Selves are well stocked up had a seperate Asian section as well. Has good deals as well.
Great location. Convenient parking available. Store is clean and well organized.
Have learned that this place is a lot more thrifty than most supermarkets
Very nice place for groceries with reasonable price.
Easy to navigate. Shelves stocked and staff are very friendly and helpful
Great grocery store! Prices are great and produce is fresh. Manager so for friendly.
I really don't carry quarters regularly.
no line up! got in and out in under 5 minutes!! well managed!
So small but it does the job!
Very good customer service today. I needed to do a return that was a little bit complicated, but the cashier I dealt with (Esperanza, I think) and the manager on duty were very accomodating and took care of it without any problems. Later in the day, I needed to return to the store to pick up some things that I forgot, and the cashier I dealt with this time was also friendly, capable, and overall very good at her job. Hats off to the team, well done everyone!
Good prices and good sales.
Now thats its under new management its better
Not crowded able to get everything on my list but our favorite muffin was sold out other than that everything was available
Not my first choice when grocery shopping. Place is often out of stock on flyer items or sale items. Staff is relatively nice but get a hold on stock issues.
Small store with good selection. Accepts MasterCard but not visa. Bag your own groceries.
Nice store but they were sold out of all three sale items that I went for: potatoes, beef tip and Chapman's fancy ice cream cones. I was, however, able to pick up $20 worth of pure junk food that I will eat instead...
Everything is at the lowest prices I have seen ,very good service as well!!!!
Always has what I'm looking for, only small thing is there usually isn't enough cashier's on Sundays but I understand that's a very busy day so no big deal
Only went in to grab eggs. Not my usual store. It was clean and easy to get around. Not too busy. But there was an argument between the staff and a customer as i walked in. Not sure if the area is the greatest
Cheap prices
Joseph's had everything a no frills supermarket could be expected to have, is clean and efficient. The produce was fresh and deals were great
We appreciated being able to stop in and shop while passing through town. Nicely kept store. Friendly staff. Thanks.
Go here if you want one of the worst grocery store experiences of your life. *Edit* added two stars cause they're stepping their game up these days.
Foods that would often cost $150 at Food Basics will cost you about $235 at this place. And food shortages are very rampant here.
With everything thats going on nowadays, this store is always on point. The owners do a great job keeping this placed well staffed in both employees and stock. Its exceptionally clean too. The only bad experience I've had was due to other customers.
this is a very good no frills I go there on a quite regular basis and it always seem to have very good stuff on sale
Produce could be a lot fresher
This place has decent prices on many basic items, with some good sales. A little cluttered in some areas and not enough cashiers working.
Best place to purchase grocery. Has a good parking space. Just near Kingston-Morningside intersection....
The staff and the manager were extremely disrespectful and to black and brown people the manager in particular. I came here to buy groceries not to be harassed and not to have my groceries taking out of my cart
Very good prices
Best prices and has all the foods I get on a weekly basis.
Great local place to shop
The cashier in line 1 was unprofessional, unpleasant and rude. I handed her the money directly in her hand and she threw my change at me. I was absolutely astonished at her extreme lack of customer service. I would never shop there again!! NOT RECOMMENDED, shop somewhere else!!
Great customer service, could find items easily, staff is so helpful.
Staff was trying to keep up with stock, organized, clean, friendly staff.
Small store and something I've never seen before, they have all there candies and chocolates all locked up.
A lot of expired items on shelves. The store is messy and dirty. The cashier line is huge. I once bought a Pita package with insects in it from this store. The cashier refused to refund it.
Great prices on produce
Clean, friendly staff. Could use a few more items, but I am never without what I need.
Friendly owners and staff, low prices, clean and modern.
No issues found what I needed and was in stock
It's the most wonderful place ever, skip Disneyland, go to Mike's No Frills
It's an okay store. There are better but you have to consider the location.
Long Lines for the Cashier Lanes, they only have 2 lanes open when they need 4.
Good stock can be found here. Can be a little cleaner in its appearance in the store though. Conveniently located in a large business area.
My usual grocery store.. The cashier BB was rude and judgmental towards me because I have tattoos.. And several items are date sensitive.. Gotta read the dates on everything. Besides that we love shopping here .
I typically drive out a little further from home to this No Frills location because of the cleanliness, the produce and items they have in sale are usually in stock and the employees never seem to hesitate to answer any questions. During …
Owner is seen most of the time in the store working. He always helpful if you can't find a product. Staff are pleasant and engaging too. I love shopping here.
Best grocery store in Port Dover.
Amazing every time I visit from out of town.
Be prepared to wait in line, always lacking adequate cashiers and no self-checkout available. Low quality products all around. It is best to drive to Simcoe.
Always good service.
It was clean..well stocked..I was in &out in no time
Store stock levels and produce quality are fine. Never enough cashiers or baskets for shopping, always waste too much time waiting in line.
Location is conveniently located in the east end of Scarborough. Although there is a high shoplifting rate, I still shop at this location. The store is a little cramped and can get quite busy during peek hours.
They have a great variety of produce but I always seem to find moldy food there. Their west-indian products were covered in mold...
I like this no frills as its close to my place. The aisles are well maintained.
Lots of great deals to be found here weekly flyer specials. Staff is kind and friendly
Great Supermarket of the No Frills Chain of Supermarkets, it's Huge with Multiple, Well-Labeled and Packed, not to forget to mention Clean Aisles and Shelves. Wide variety of Grocery Items, Beverages, Snacks, Miscellaneous, and Fresh Vegetables. On the Floor you can always see Staff maintaining the Shelves. The Cashiers are quick with their Registers and getting you out...
It’s a nice No Frills, they had everything I needed and some I didn’t till I got there. Great location, but the parking since it’s in a plaza they do share the car park with other stores so it can get busy at times. I do appreciate the sign with the light letting us know which cashier to go to when queuing up. Great selection of masks, antibacterial wipes for safety. Good selection of food, pulses, fresh fruit and veggies.????????
My favourite no frills
Easy to find items
Great place...social distancing well maintained..lucrative prices
This No Frills provides adequate access to the staples. It is a small store, so not very much variety, but the fruit and veggies were good quality and there were some sales. However, there were no boxes available so we were forced to buy bags and there was only one cashier so the checkout line was VERY long. I would shop here again if I needed something and had no time to go to Simcoe, but I would not do my big shop here.
Not as big as other No Frills or other discount supermarkets, lacked some things we are looking for. Clean with quick and efficient staff. It was laid out in the standard annoying ways.
It is a great grocery store. A deli would be good
Amazing place for shopping, has all the things a person needs....
All great but they need to be taking back the water jugs already.
This grocery store is often out of the sale items very quickly. During the summer months they are out of things like hamburger buns and hot dog buns. They have been out of chicken before as well as many basic things. Often there are huge line ups with minimal cashiers. Overall the prices are cheaper than other grocery stores but it's because the quality is below other grocery stores.
extremely irritating issues with lines at checkouts and it is only going to get worse with warmer weather coming
Great location. Sometimes don't have things you'd think they'd have, but nice otherwise. A little run down but love the location. It's next to a Rexall, Timmies and Beer Store
Great place to shop and friendly staff
Ok! Like going there.
Great place for a quick pick up of items.
2 stars now, please if you have NOT yet, hire security to enforce physical distancing. Thank you
Torontonians are very Generous, Kind and Supportive Community and Their working very hard to save lives of others and reopen the economy for its residents.
Lay out of store could be better
Horrible! If I could rate it no stars, I would. The produce is ALWAYS rotten, moldy, bruised and stinks as soon as you walk in. Also, be sure you check the expiration date on all dairy. Horrible location.
Great selection. Lots of fresh produce and meat. Can't always find everything we need.
Good place to shop although sale products are hard to go find sometimes.
Arrive early for sales, as things tend to run out quickly. It's not as well stocked as some of the larger locations. But If you don't see something, just ask an employee and they'll usually able to tell you if it came in on the last shipment or so.
Ok store. Good management of long customer queue at billing.
Not to bad for a small town. Location is good and produces are decent but still a bit overpriced for a no frills
Good No Frills, staff are very nice and helpful!
Pretty good no frills, could do better at stocking and restocking the shelves ie making sure expired items are removed from the shelves. Other than that 3 out of 5 stars
Well it's No Frills, thats why the stars. But this one has checkout wait time closing to 20 minutes at least. That if you get lucky.
Very good place to buy groceries
I have been going to this NoFrills for years and they are very good about how they treat customers. I have to say, since the lockdown they have gone above and beyond. And unlike other stores in the area they have kept up their standards especially in regards to their check out process
I find the prices here to be really good. Service has always been good steady lineups dont get outrageous. I find at certain times of the week certain things sell out or there are low stocks usually sale flyer items. No deli. No bakery although you can buy bakery items that are made at a local bakery. Park lot can get hectic at times.
Went to pick up my Flash Food app purchase. Apparently there is no record of it but my account was charged went back twice.Got the same story. Not Happy.
Very friendly staff, otherwise it's like most other stores
Well maintained store friendly staff..long lines with everyone buying Canada day supplies but made it out in no time.one of the better NF I have been to
Very good service.. You even had sausage meat. Thanks Merry Christmas to you all and stay safe.
Worms and cobwebs in the rice y'all need to do better ...it's two bags now and i gaurantee i wont get bag my money i throw out the first bag and sent my brother to buy a different bag and he came back with the same damn rice with the worms and cobwebs in it
Clean, good staff, good produce and always great prices.
Fresh fruit and vegetables at a very reasonable price.
Joseph's Nofrills , beware of the expired food items they have on sale all the time. They sometimes have months old food items.Once I brought it into the notice of the customer service lady about the expired Mayonnaise (which has eggs in it) they were selling. She in fact had the nerve to tell me that it is ok to sell any expired food except for fish or meat.Compared to my next closest Nofrills which is Dave's Nofrills this store is somewhat untidy. So hard to find the prices of certain popular/essential items ,not that everything is price marked & you will have to look for staff few times in one trip to find the prices, most of the times shelves are empty when it comes to certain common/essential items, doesnt have many choices when it comes to fresh veggies & fruits, prices are reasonable but poor quality.Customer service staff has been very supportive except for two rude ladies I've ever come across so far who have zero customer service qualities. Doesn't look like Joseph care much about making it a better place to serve customer needs.Over the years I haven't seen any overall improvement but going down.I gave two stars for reasonable prices & for overall customer service.
Has most of what I needed at decent prices
I love the good deals here ... Clean store..very friendly staff
Still haven't gotten over the bread I bought unaware mice had gotten to it before. Buyer beware...check the expiration date. Hard lesson I learned.
No Frills has very competitive pricing on groceries. Their Dollar Sale is something to look out for every month.
Clean, well stocked and fast friendly check out.
Rude workers, terrible selection, very sketchy store. I don't come here unless I have literally no choice.
Felt very safe, in these rough times
Shelves were well stocked. Staff is okay when it comes to friendliness.
Not bad I noticed they had hardough bread cheaper than most grocery stores
Fast and friendly service. Lot's to choose from
I always shop here. Great people, always friendly and very helpful.
Very rude cashier wasted my 10 mins in line just asking for quarter for a cart ???? or change 5$ bill so i can take a ???? cart and at the end she said whatever not gonna give as she is so busy dealing with customers loll anyways end up taking it from ramdom person ... very bad customer service..
The staff is always helpful and they really try hard to have the store stocked well
Produce was scarce this visit...not sure as to why therefore only a 4 star rating.
it was busy, but all the patrons and workers made it awesome on Canada day weekend.
Long check-out queues. Was happy that I found the sale items that I was looking for.
honestly the best priced food you can get anywhere in the GTA yes even over Walmart it can get very busy throughout the day and can get very dangerous at night especially before closing.
Great little grocery store in a great little town. Good value, good meat, good service.
Great staff but not much of variety found. And you might wanna check the expiry dates too before buying anything.
I had to use one of those red pulling carts this morning because no big buggy was available for my shopping. I had quite a big load to take out to my car with just one trip.( I probably had to make 3 trips).l asked the cashier if this one time they can make an exception so I can use the cart to take my heavy groceries to my car. The cashier rudely answered me NO twice. At that same time the owner,l think his name is Joseph, was right around the corner. He had a cart & he gave it to me. What a great guy! Great leadership. Thanks.
Helpful folk. My main shop.
Awesome store always great service. Mike and Manny always have a big smile when they see you. Very reasonable prices compared to the other big chains in the area. Keep up the great work No Frills team.
Check out was efficient
I like going there to we talk. They have everything I
Good place to shop. I really recommend the store.
They didn't have some of the items on sale, produce is pricey and not from local farmers even though there is so much available this time of year. Most people don't want US fruit when ours is fresh at road side stands all over the area.
Surprisingly good selection for a No Frills
Parking lot very busy and the No Frills can be .I like it because it's a smaller store and easier to get around when in a hurry. Staff is nice.
Great prices! Every time I go in there I find what I need for a great price. Friendly staff too. Glad it's on my route
Great customer service.
Handy to everything in Port Dover. Plenty of stocked shelves
Not a bad No Frills. Fairly clean and well stocked with friendly staff
Love the size and special s
Not a bad store. Check out is disgustingly slow. Lined up all around one complete side of the store. Often takes more than then minutes to check out. For this reason I would not recommend this store.
Never ever have what I want not fresh food
Not to good. Small store and selection and line to till is horrendous
Whoever the cashier is that works on the first cash on June 21st is awfully rude to customers. I brought the hami melon wanting to know how much it would cost. After determining that it is too pricy, I said no and she said how can someone not know it goes by pound. Of course I know it is by pound. I'm not blind but there's no weighing scale to tell me how much it would cost me to buy it so I don't see why I should get insulted for getting it weight at the cash and figure out the price is not right for me. If she doesn't like to serve customers maybe she should get fired. She doesn't even know the code to enter. Took her like 2 -3 minutes to punch the code. Maybe that's why she's reluctant to service ppl who wanna cash that out. If you are the owner reading this maybe you should educate your cashier on what customer service really is. I have work as a cashier myself and that is certainly not how I treat a customer
The owner is very nice and hardworking and helpful staff with good customer care skills
Our NoFrills is wonderful! Clean, lots of selection, great fruit and vegetables and prices are very good. Mike also brings in locally grown products which is a real community contribution. I shop here as much as I can.
Great selection and the produce is great !
This is my store, I love it, there is everything I need.????.
Clean, low cost. A favorite for the basic purchases.
Nice place to shop
Not really clean. Very busy but not all registers open. Would probably go to port union location instead.
I use Visa for everything, but not here ..
Great store with good weekly specials and the only grocery store in Port Dover.
The service here is great and it is affordable you have lots of choose from and lots of healthy choices don't forget when you're shopping make healthy choices for yourself and your loved ones choose healthy food over unhealthy food don't forget coconut oil is very healthy for you as well as superfoods like kale kale tastes slightly like Romanian lettuce just a little
Didn't have everything i wanted but i got 70% of my grocery list
This is a good place to shop and staff are really helpful and polite.
Always clean and always have sale items in stock. I've only price matched here once and they were fast and happy to do it. Cashiers are polite and always smiling.
Usually find what I'm looking for here. The staff are always helpful
It's a small town grocery store that doesn't have a lot of the things I shop for. Some of it must be due to size, but it means I need to go to the next town for my shopping.
Great sales and usually is stock sale items
I am from Quebec, this store is near equivalent Maxie. I find that this is my main grocery store because it tends to be cheaper than others around my area. While it doesn't have everything I want it does have most.
Friendly staff, lots of stock
It's a busy place. The cashier was nice and very helpful.
This is our local store and provides good service to the community .
Always something i can get there its frustrating. Manager isnt the friendliest but the check out ladies are always smiling.
Staff are plesant and helpful, even when very busy
This No Frills is way too busy and they never have enough cashiers on and it's also hard to find people to help you find things
I had the nicest cashier today. I hope the public don't beat the cheeriness out of her. Sometimes customers can be the worst.
Always clean ,and the staff are wonderful, will continue to shop at Joseph's no frills because even during these tough times the store continues to offer great value for your money, and checkout is handled quickly and courteously
Very good other stores have 4 limits per family but this place 12 limits per family. I was very happy about that.
Friendly cashier, lots of fresh items and great specials 0.33 cents for fresh corn, thats amazing price, good parking
They don't take visa
This is the cleanest and brightest no frills store i have visited .it was a pleasure to shop.the only downside is the carts .
Excellent staff. Cashiers are always polite and quick moving you through the till. Good selection and prices. The produce section is sometimes hit and miss on terms of quality but other then that I have no complaints.
Decent place with enough of a selection for being so small
Mike's No Frills has the best management and staff! Customer service is fantastic and their community support is amazing. It's always a good experience shopping there.
Great prices!
Good selection of groceries. They do price match but they don't price match Walmart
Friendly place to shop. Meat counter always has a good variety. Competitive prices
MANAGER MIKEL should be fired, he does NOT know what he is doing. Bad communication or customer service
I shop here frequently and though I've had some negative encounters with rude cashiers (BB) I still enjoy this location. Its not as crowded as the cedarbrae location. However many items are date sensitive so I check everything and I rarely get my produce here as the food basics has fruits and veggies that are nice and fresh.
I love this place! If you are a snacker this is a treasure chest. There is produce as well and other things as well but it feels like walking back in time to your childhood to find a bottle of chubby (fizzy pop the perfect size for a kid's hand) or the snack cups that were in your lunchbox.
Some of the cashier needs to know better customer service skills needs to be more respectful to customers.
Service is slow, minimal staff but unfortunately they are the only grocery store in town. Looking forward to them building another
Very clean cashiers are very professional and the store is stock all day long.
Is always A-line up
It was very clean and it was quite WHEN I was in. Staff was super friendly. Good selection
The store is a good size the shelves are usually well stocked but the meat department quite often does not have the advertised items , it's as if they don't get enough supply from head office ? Generally speaking though the sales are good prices.
Great, fast convenient service on this rainy Sunday morning. A line up did not exist. I will definitely shop early mornings in the future. ????
Some of the staff was nice. A chicken product that was on sale and I travelled from simcoe to purchase was out of stock. They do not provide rain checks * apparently never have* and since the sale ends today I guess I am out of luck. Cashier could have been more hospitable. Do not think I will be travelling for a "sale" again.
The prices sometimes are good, lots of sale on specific items. Produce most time are fresh.
Great place to shop also awesome prices and service
Great always fresh vegetables.
The staff here are the best. Very, very friendly, polite and professional.
A very good store to shop. Has pretty well everything. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very well controlled for covid 19
Only 2 cash lanes open. One express and regular. Majority of people in regular cash lane because of number of items. Time to look for another supermarket.
The cashiers and all the staff are very helpful amd approachable, includung the managers.
Reasonable prices on specials.
Best place to shop around
It's okay vegetables and meat are a good selection. As for grocery stores I prefer other no frills. I find sometimes when I go to buy something here there sold out. It is a busy location. I think they should try and keep sale items stocked up a little better.
Great place to shop. There is always something on sale. Great location too.
Everyone was fantastic. Enjoy shopping at no frills. Produce was fresh.
Usually not too long a line to cash out, good variety of groceries for sale..
Poor inventory control......often out of the very basics such as 2% cream....granola bars....coffee....and everyday household items. The common response from staff is, "It's on backorder. " Well worth the drive to go a bit further and visit the Port Union (Island Rd) store.
Good prices good eats friendly staff across the board
After shopping at this store for approximately 20 yrs I decided today to stop shopping there. Ever since the new owner Mike bought this store you can never get the items on sale. Every Saturday I am told the trucks did not come yet . …
Wonderful staff, great selection of goods.
I visit this No Frills location atleast once a week. They have a good stock of products at good prices. Products are neatly arranged, but if you do find something out of place, I wouldn't blame the employees as I have often seen customers mis place products they decide not to buy, especially annoying is when frozen foods are dumped in aisles. The employees are always polite, courteous & helpful & that includes the cashiers. I have always had a good experience shopping here and have been coming to this location -Joseph's No Frills for over 7 years.
Reasonably clean, okay selection
needs a deli and salad bar.
Produce horrible. Had to return a rotten honey dew... had my $274 bill but cashier said I had to return the rotten fruit which was in my garbage. Produce manager said it was 'policy' to have the rotten item for a refund..but he will refund my $5 this time only.... Poor customer service..look at my bill amount!!! 5 hours later I returned the other Honey Dew .. also smelled rotten...I returned the fruit uncut got a refund. Don't buy produce the here.
Never had PC West Coast Dark pods on any of the occasions I've gone in.
Like every other No frills, this one has lots of options for grocery shopping. Weekly flyers, friendly staff, public wash rooms and food shops near by.
This no frills used to be well stocked , now it's like a food bank. You can hardly find anything here.
It is the only full serve grocery store in Port Dover, but it is adequate enough to fulfill most of the needs of the locals.
Love this No Frills. Fresh produce and good meat counter. Checking out can be a little slow at times.
This is a great place for shopping, always have everything I need
Always friendly staff and great prices. Thanks Mike and staff
Lowing my rating due to ridiculous check process. I will not go back! Very good prices on most items. Service is good and always friendly. Some of the local customers are a little slow but the staff accommodate them nicely.
I wish staff at the door would be more diligent with regards to proper wearing of face masks. I pointed to a customer who was wearing one only on her mouth to a staff, he asked her to comply, she then stated that she has asthma, the young man just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I think that all staff should have better training after a year, whether it be to refer any concerns to on site manager or the knowledge of enforcement. Please dont take this as a stab at the hard working staff, these matters should have a structured policy by now. I
Good store..good price..usually.has all sale items.
This was my go to store had everything.
Found the item and I wanted and left in a timely manner
Doesn't always have what im looking for on the shelves but other than that, great home town grocery store.
It's no frills... out of the items to price match
Good sales but don't go on the last day of the sale. Usually no stock or very little to choose from. Bring bags don't usually have boxes to use.
200 people lined up and there's only 3 cashier is open. This happened to me 3 times in the last month. today I had few items and I went to Express cashier and I was number 12. Cashier was very polite and I felt bad for her because they are doing at least 6 persons job. This is the only location does not have enough cashier to work.
It was a nice store to get your groceries. I would go back again. It is nice and clean and staff is friendly too.
Very disappointed with this No Frills.
Typical No Frills: cheaper groceries than other supermarkets, but dirtier and uglier building.
Quick in and out if your busy
Clean and well stocked.
I find lately the produce mediocre. I understand its a less expensive store but one should not have to dig through produce crates to find good quality over rotting fruits and vegetables
Great grocery store. Friendly staff.
Nice people store is always clean and friendly cashiers!
Good small town No Frills. Kind if surprised for a fishing town, they didn't have any local fish.
This store sucks. Half empty shelves and only a few checkouts open when its busy!
Floors were wet by the freezer section my pregnant fiancée slipped and hurt herself. There was no wet floor sign in sight. We pointed it out to a worker who put the warning sign up
Very comfortable location, it's very conveniently located beside other stores. If you have little time every week to do your shopping, you can shop everything nearby all at once, saving plenty of time. The store is well-stocked and very spacious with fresh products. They have everything you need from meat and fish, to home cleaning products, to hygiene. Employees are always courteous and helpful, great customer service!
Shelves are bare way too often. Never enough checkout clerks but it us the only game in town.
Stores looking dated and dirty could use a face lift i think
Good place shopping but dislike the new digital flyer. Should have wi fi to be able to check the flyer when we are there.
All in one place, polite and helpful staff, best to visit in afternoon to avoid rush
Clean store and a friendly staff. The prices are good and lots of stock.
My favourite no frills I love it. The cashier / owner is very welcoming
Nice store very clean
This is the one and only no frills i will go to i go every month the only place I shop at. Its clean never have a problem with anything i buy. Staff are great always smiling and the owner is very nice and always there to answer questions
Dislike this location of NoFrills greatly. They constantly have line ups, even in less busy times. They just don't have enough cashiers open. Food Basics does a lot better across the street. The food selection is good and they have nice bread and tea, which I like. But, their system always gets discounted items wrong. If I press the issue, they check and correct price, but it is outrageous that I have to memorize prices and tell them at cashier! Sometimes, I only discovered increased price on receipt at home... I avoid this place like the plague and never go there when in a hurry (I know the line ups will take 10 minutes or more!)
Very nice grocery store with friendly s5aff
Today's experience was good. The store was very clean and shelves were stocked. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. Her name was Debbie. She even offered to call someone to help me with the heavy groceries to the car.
Good. Very clean and nicely arranged. It also has it's own pharmacy.
Run out of stock to quick and takes to long to restock the shelves
Very affordable "close to date" foods. Always good friendly people shopping to talk to while waiting in the line.
Was pretty busy and still made it thru the till quickly. Very impressed.
Busy lines long wait but good prices!
A good place to shop groceries. I enjoy visiting here. They have a wide variety of food items, especially dairy and vegetables. And you can get points on your optimum card! I will be going back again.
Friendly owner & not only cares about the customers by the employees as well. Well stocked store!
Very nice and very clean
No frills is a great LITTLE grocery store located in Port Dover. It's so nice to see people shopping locally and supporting the store. However, check out line circling the whole store is unacceptable. With 70 % of shoppers having 10 or less items create two independent lines to service the customer properly. Superstore has every cash open on the weekend, today at No Frills only three.
Quick in and out to grab peameal on sale. Clean store, efficient checkout.
Awesome grocery store!
Always busy cashier lanes, they don't open all the cashier lanes. I was shopping on a Tuesday around 8 P.M and Employee was playing songs on his smartphone. Very hard to find any sale item, they don't keep the stock. Need to improve/hire well behaved employees.
pritty good but runs out of sale items
Cashiers and other staff members are really friendly and helpful. All the produce is fresh. Most of all, it's convenient as it's close to home.
Looking for items they had on sale in there flyer. Nothing available. Staff were not willing to help. Very disappointed.
Nice little store!
Emtey shelves and long line ups i would have been better off going to Simcoe
Nice grocery store. Good prices. Decent selection of products.
They do not back up their products and like to lie and claim the products were not purchased here
Good quality at cheap price. Use PC Optimum card for more savings
Friendly helpfull well stocked
This is not one of the nicer No Frills locations. It could really use a full renovation. The store is quite dated. It also gets extremely busy and they don't staff enough cashiers. I only shop here if I absolutely have to if they have something on sale that I want. The location on Port Union Road is *much* nicer and it's only about a five minute drive from this location.
Be aware they keep expired food. Very Bad. Brought curd which was Best before JAN 2016. Can't even imagine still those stocks can last somewhere. But you can get to see here. Went for first and last time. That's it done.
Lineup was a little long but it was moving well
Delighted to come back after a while. Helpful staff inspite of busy lineups. Would certainly like to come back soon!
Spacious aisles, great prices
I have been shopping no frills for as long as there was no frills that mean menny menny years
Nice clean store. Lots of choice. Fresh meat, fruit and vegetables.
It's a great show store I love it I do there all my shopping there I live in simple but I go there all the time great buys shopping at goodbyes
Cashier's very slow
Good place to do groceries and save some money.
Typical No Frills. No big deal. Specials are usually gone a few hours after the flyer comes out. No frills is right on the money. I will continue to go to Metro. Better selection and a deli. Dont need to buy prepackaged sliced meats. And the fresh items are not days old. ????
Very easy to find what I am looking for. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful!
Clean, bright and well stocked.
Parking ok, pay for cart, good prices
it's not great meat not fresh enough staff not friendly
Great place to shop and save a few bucks
Joseph and his incredible staff at No Frills are really great at supplying great deals to our community here in West Hill. Along with that, Joseph and his team have been out and about supporting local events, hosting events at the store, while also donating to local groups and schools. Thanks Joseph for all your support in this community.
I call this grocer, No Thrills. I only stop in here, if I absolutely have to &/or I have forgotten something, on my list. I live in Dover but shop in Simcoe.
I live nearby this store it happened thrice that I went there looking at the weekly flyer in reebee but they said they can't offer the same price it's not their store.
Fast service today but the cashier didn't know what or where the sloppy joe sauce was
Too busy
Clean store, limited selection and brands, friendly service.
Nice store, good selection of most items. Some soft drinks were sold out. long line for check out.
Good experience and prices
Great food prices
Good place to shop a favorable prices all ways specials
I always use this location since it is close to my work. Clean quiet and customer friendly service employees.
My most recent visit at no frills was very good but the only thing I didn't find was the no name Powerade other then that I found what I was searching for.
The staff was very helpful and helped me out as i had a gift card and never used a prepaid so was very happy!!
Well organised and better availability of items now.
Register 1 has great customer service
This no frills is not bad, it carries a lot of fresher items like breads and fruits, that are not always available at other no frills locations, however this is a hit or miss, as sometimes the store seems barely stacked, and the fruits seem battered. Also it seems to be the only no frills in the vicinity so it is always packed, especially on Sundays.
Excellent produce and great prices
Clean. Good produce and a fair variety of alternative products. I shop there all the time.
Hi just wondering why we cant buy huitts dairy products they process just outside of town .They employ local people
Produce is always poor.
Very busy with only 2 tills open. Lineup was all around to the back corner of the store.
Very busy and waited for a while at checkout, store visit was otherwise excellent
Always a pleasure to shop here friendly welcoming staffs shop here for over 11 years and Joseph is a lovely manager always do his best for his customers.
Love this store. Very clean, good prices and good parking.
Always clean, everything in right place, and respectful and helpful staff ????
I'm not a fan of this store. Limited selection of lunchmeats, cheese, etc. Seemed more crowded by displays than other No Frills stores. It's great to have a discount grocery store in a vacation area though.
Best no frill store with great experience.
Clean, they had everything I needed.
Always good for quick and snappy needs.
Good place for daily groceries.
I used to love shopping at no frills, but Sunday was the last day for me. I had purchased a loin pork roast and brought it back to Simcoe where I live, we were going to have it for our supper but found out that it was rotten. The expiration date was for April 1. Not only did we have to drive back into Port Dover, but they didn't even offer us anything for our inconvenience. And we had to go to another grocery store to get something for our dinner. Considering how inconvenient it is to shop right now, I figured that they would have gave us something!
Relatively clean. The discount racks are filled with expired products so read the labels carefully! There are tons of people stationed at the entrances who try to sign you up for their credit card which is annoying if you frequently shop there.
Pretty ridiculous that they dont take credit cards! also when price matching produce, it has to be from the same county . No other grocery store is that selective with their price matching. Takes much longer because they have to always check with someone . Very rude when we didn't know that they didn't take credit and tried to use it . Good thing I dont get embarrassed easily!
Wonderfully welcoming family atmosphere..terrific no frills prices on tops of great in store specials and flash sales..a grocery store where they get to know you and call you by your name...because they care
Good selection of fresh produce. Decent in store specials.
Good variety good pricing nice staff.
Good products & good prices. Aisles tend to have obstacles which makes it hard to maneuver.
Well rearranged..brighter and cleaner
Store is ok but I usually go to the Port Union No Frills instead. This is an older store and in need of an update
The products are easy to locate and well organized.
Store clean looking and well stocked. Cashier was a little testy. Took offense with customer who wasn't sure about new optimum program and when cashier tried to explain what she needed to do customer said never mind I will look it up. Cashier continued to berate customer and pointed out to every other customer in line how rude first customer was to her.
2 years of excellent service. The tellers are always extremely helpful.
I went in there last night to purchase presidents choice ice coffee. I couldn't find it so I asked one of the staff working in the department if he had seen it. I was directed to look " over there ". I finally spotted it in behind other products, pushed all the way back. I could not reach so I asked for help, which I received an annoyed response from the employee. He got the 2 I asked for and dropped them at me instead of handing them to me. I almost dropped them. I said thank you and I hope your day gets better. This happens every time I ask an employee on the floor for something. Their rude. And many times I've found expired coffee creamer in the fridge. I inform employees and they walk away so I've started pulling them out when I find them and handing them to the closet employee. If I could buy my ice coffee from a different store I would. The cashiers are always good though.
I only see negative reviews on this no frills. I have never had any issues there. Staff are the most courteous helpful and respectful. Even Joe has come to my assistance on ocassions. The cashiers are so friendly and well organized. Staff is very diversed so we dont have to bring prejudice. The parking lot had construction. All is good now. I very often ask for help and i always got personal attention. Staff leave what they are doing and go out of their way to help. Wow people!!!! Put a little positivity in your lives. JOES NO FRILLS IS GREAT!!!!
Not very clean the most ghetto version of no frills I've found in Toronto so far staff is friendly but most are scatterbrained
It was fine, would like to see employees and owner wear masks and gloves even if the masks are homemade
Manager mikhel does not know what he is doing at the store. Worst customer service, cashiers are as bad as the manager
Customers here don't wear masks properly - more like chin straps or neck warmers. Otherwise, I liked that all cash lines were open for a quick checkout.
Young Male went above and beyond to find a product no longer in stock
Best prices and helpful staff
I love this store!
Good grocery store for a small town.
I wasn't pleased with the one in dover they have the sales that the one in hagersville such as the boneless chicken bread bbq sauce
HORRIBLE experience as a customer will never return back to this location, extremely disgusted with the manager micheal who is incompetent and is unaware of his own store policies. From the management down to the cashier Rani who had attitude and was ignorant to help the customer, I will follow up with the head office. To customers: beware and check your bill as they scan higher prices to rob the customers.
Veggies and fruit were not fresh...not impressed
Always stocked up! Cashiers are nice
Always an easy location for me to shop. It's decent & staff are friendly.
I realize its summer and all stores are super busy...but this stores vegetable and fruit displays were totally empty...except for the bad or rotten vegetables/fruit..and so dirty...
Has variety, the cashier was very helpfu . Its worth shopping at especially if you live close by
Store is usually kept clean, staff are friendly but sometimes difficult to find. Always stocked produce and fresh products majority of the time. Above all, will have the products you are looking for.
The management of this No Frills is horrible. I had a produce item that was purchased at a different location and due to it rotting within a day of purchase I wanted to exchange for a new set. I waited in line for a very long time. When I arrived at the cash desk I explained the situation to the cashier. When she looked at my receipt she said she could not process the exchange as it was purchased from another location. I explained to her that the other location was out of my way and just wanted an exchange because I was using this item for my dinner that night. She said she would call the manager and ask. After paging twice an employee from produce I believe, came to the desk and also said no to the exchange and that I would need a valid reason. He told the cashier to call someone named Eric. The cashier again had to page a few times for the manager. Finally he called her and she explained the situation then all he said to her was no and hung up. I asked her if I could speak to him. Instead of coming to the desk he called her back and said to pass the phone to me. Which is first horrible customer service and not sanitary. I tried to explain to him that I didn't want any money back I just wanted an exchange for an item that was not rotten. He hung up the phone. He called back and told the cashier to tell me no. Eric should not be in a management or customer service position. He was rude, inconsiderate and not very smart.
This No Frills is fantastic. Clean, bright, organized and amazing selection. The staff is over and above. This was my first time to this store, I moved to general area 5 years ago but usually shop in Caledonia or on way home from Burlington. I'll be going 20 min this way from now on.
Terrible line ups at checkout. Better off driving to next town if you have a choice.
Clean and well stocked.
Had the products i was looking for but huge lines and not many cashiers
Lots of items available at the store. Needs to be organized however, we were able to find our items with help of staff. Did not like waiting in the long lines to cash out. It made no sense when they were only three cashiers available and all the other check out lanes were closed.
Awesome store. Always fresh products at great prices. Store is very clean and welcoming. Very friendly owners and staff always eager to help out. Always in and out quickly. Always a great shopping experience. Definitely worth checking out when in beautiful Port Dover. Awesome job team members.
Don't do price match anymore and if they do they will remove the items from shelves????? Be careful when chick- out some items will Scan more expensive? Rather than what is advertise...
Need gluten free frozen section, vegan has too now become a new healthier version of eating, need a good health food choice section like superstore has.More organic, veggie, fruit be a healthier alternative, choice as well.Ty.
I like shopping at no frills for their weekly specials. Staff are always pleasant.
Nice store. 4 stars sounds fair
Always a fantastic place to shop for food and supply's
Great staff. Clean store. Good deals.
Nice clean location. Tends to have items in stock. Im shocked at what i read here though. "they harass black and brown people" so you saying they are harassing the majority of their customers? makes no sense to me. "The owner must be hiring alot of his own kind" you CLEARLY dont shop here alot because if you did, you would see Joseph in the store, on cash and talking to regulars. He is NOT middle eastern, so again really?? these statements make NO sense!
No Frills .. but a decent selection.. friendly staff work here... and often great prices and value... an additional star would come from more cashiers on duty... as I'm almost certainly going to wait behind a line of 7 people to check out. Still.. often worth the wait
Convenient location. And with food basics across the street, their process are competitive. Not a lot of cashiers though, so often one has to wait a few minutes. There are some ethnic selections, but fairly limited as far as Chinese goes.
Best no frills I have ever been in very clean and plenty of parking. Hear staff
Nice wide aisle and always friendly staff never have had specials sold-out great stock
Excellent place to buy ur bargain grocery everything under one roof ????
Line was to long to get to the cash. The place was very clean ials were nicely organized and neat.it was pleasant.
Very clean store and a decent selection
Good selection, but few cashiers. Otherwise, no complaints, would visit again.
Long line ups. Always waiting for cash out. Short staff and overworked . There is 3 cashiers on duty and they have at least 4 empty with no use. Would be great if they hire more people so we sont have to wait LONG time . Thats the reason why im not going there as i used to.
