I didn't stay for one minute because the rotten smell was so overpowering as soon I entered the store. I even had a face mask on. Imagine the food contaminated with this odour!

Relatively not too big supermarket but it's here where I can find my ingredients for "dinuguan na baboy", craving for sometime when I moved to Toronto. Prices are pretty good low but not too spacious to get around. Parking is okay.

The supermarket has very tasty fruits but the supermarket looks very dirty. You enter and there's a smelly odour as the first impression. Then above the longans, mangoes and other fruits there's tons of flies flying around it landing on it. The lines are quick which is good. They could do a lot better if they cleaned the place up.

I shop there often because i can usually find slightly cheaper vegetables and some fruits as well. They do have specials that can be quite good, and better than no frill at times. It's just that it's not very clean, but that doesn't stop me, and their fish prices aren't that impressive, still doesn't stop me. If their prices go up and i can no longer buy fresh fruits and vegetables on special, i'll stop going :) It's better than Costco for fresh produce

You can get produce at good prices, but the place isn't very clean, and I feel bad for the employees there because in the winter, the place isn't warm, it's so cold, they have to wear their coats and gloves. That's not right. They shouldn't have to work in such conditions. I wonder if they even get minimum wage...

Great variety of international food and good price. The store could be a little more organized and clean but it is not the end of the world. I go there because it is on the way to my job. I know there are better supermarkets like Lone Tai but they are farther to go. Also, good parking area and easy to access. No extra fees for credit card transactions as normal for some international supermarkets.

This store is very convenient to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, however the customer service is poor. At times I wonder if their "indifference " to race other than their own makes a difference. One cashier refused to put my change in my hand even when i stick them out to get my change. It happen twice and i was so ticked...I didn't say a word...SHOCKED. I will only shop here if I'm in desperate need. Sometimes the chain supermarkets have better price and products...just saying.

Great supermarket..from fruits, veggies, any kind of meat or seafoods and you can even do grocery shopping and they have kitchen stuffs, too like pots and pans...and other small kitchen gadgets..come and experience buying stuffs at Lone Tai Supermarket!????????????

They have good produce. Not talking about meat section here. Always found fresh vegetables here, and they carry variety of vegetables to choose from. I found them carrying produce from different countries as well, and not limited to just storing Chinese products (considering it is a Chinese store). There are good deals most of the time. Reasonable price as well -compared to other stores nearby. The only down things are fruits, kitchen stuff section and plants. Fruits are not as fresh “always“ and sometimes they are perished and lying on the shelf to sell. When they have plants for sale in summers, I have found that they are not been cared properly. Many are rotten and they have pests in them. Twice, I had same experience of pests in them. I found the utensils section to be very pricey and not a good quality. I Prefer not to buy sp. pans, woks, knives, etc from here Hours of operation are longer, so you can also grab something that you might need after work hours.

There is a large selection of produce for relatively low prices, so we tend to buy a lot at once (it is better to by the amount you need at the moment). However, it is a bit dirty and crowded. Other than that, there aren't any major issues.

I have been customer to this store since arrived to Canada: for over a decade. But for several reason have to stop buying meat, fish and raw products from this place. Not only expired product they sale but their meat products are not having disease, bruises and color off what is so dangerous as same as expired goods. also by end of their shift, close to 9 pm employees are covering their meat fridges with extremely nasty, fully stained and badly smelly cardboard what is so not hygienic. I must inform to the Public Health Ontario about this disaster as it will cause our fellow Canadians health.

Vegetables or fruits looks fresh but when you bought it and the next day you will see it started to rotten. Also price is not good compare with the quality of products. Don’t go there and waste your money.

The store is not very clean. Some food is cheap, but some aren't fresh. Some cashiers were nice in the past. But in my last visit on Aug 12, one cashier was very rude, refused to let me pay by Amex credit card, (which in the past, has always been accepted at this store). They never had sign anywhere to disclose customer about this rule. They don't want to pay high BS fee to amex bank. I told her I will complain to the bank for merchant breaking credit card acceptance rule. They don't care to upset customer. Will never shop at this store again.

Handy store if u r looking for greens. Seafood maybe on sale prices at times, but except cashiers the remaining staff have a hard time speaking english

I had to complete some business in the same White Shield plaza so I decided to drop into this supermarket for a look. My initial impression is that this place is not a clean market. Once I was over this fact, then I set about looking at prices and variety. Anyhow, I found some vegetables that were very competitively priced and I ended spending $11.75 my first trip here. Checkout was quick even though I didn’t get a thank you (for shopping here). Then again, somehow I didn’t expect one!

If you want ambiance, stop complaining, go to Loblaws and pay the prices they charge. If you just want cheap groceries and a variety of ethnic foods, then Lone Tai fits the bill, pardon the pun. Fruit and vegetable selection is pretty good and fairly complete for an Asian supermarket. Ample free parking.

I was overwhelmed by the selection of items and great prices. They have comparatively better prices on the same items as the other places. Their in season fresh fruits were bountiful. I arrived near closing, the staff were friendly even after a long day. I had a great experience and will be shopping here again. You have to check out this store.

Its not such a bad place, its my shopping spot. But about 2 weeks ago i went and i noticed some of their packaged meat way past its expired date. I kinda dont trust them with their meat anymore. But i truly hope this is all. Just please keep an eye out for the expiry date when you come to this place.

Usually can find what you need. Their prices tend to be higher on cereals and other dried food items. The nut selection is rather expensive, the selfless sunflower seeds taste bad. The produce can sometimes be bruised.

Ok prices, dairy and meats are all gross. Dirty washrooms and very crowded with terrible customer services. Bread and milks are all stale, and meats are too bloody. Also there was this weird guy in the parking lot that asked to take your cart back for you and takes the 1dollar on it. He also only spoke a weird language and was filthy. Overall I never want to go again.

In my opinion the only problem with this place is their staff and horrible service they give , super rude and disrspectfull, the staff will talk about you in front of you in their language , the stare at you like you came in the store to steal, why would a business treat their customers so horribly is beyond me,

I am very disappointed to have gone to that Lawrence#Kennedy Lone Tai store. I spent 38 dollars there for products that are not even good in quality. It's not enough the store is not clean, and yet the cashier made a story about a box of Kiwi I had bought, supposedly it looked too full. She began to count them, and showed doubt about the number of the kiwis inside. She went to the table where the kiwis were exhibited and came back to announce that one kiwi had been added in my container. I told her I am not a person to crave about one added kiwi, and I presented her one kiwi from my box. The problem is that who could have added one kiwi in the container without buying it? If I am sure of myself to not have added it there, that means it was normal the container had the right number of kiwis in it. So was it worth for THAT cashier to intimidate a new customer. I am very disappointed to have to deal with such inconsiderate cashiers who could embarrass me if I go to that store again.

Yes the food is like the price, cheap which translate not-so-fresh. You have to sort them out especially the ones in a bag, look for expiry date first. I have a feeling they get their food from other supermarkets when they are not so fresh etc. You may still get good stuff depends on the day.

It's a cut above most Chinese grocers...its clean, you can find some awesome "scratch n dent" produce items (just ensure you check before you buy...no returns on these items which are close to "expiry" ). There is a limited fresh meat, poultry & fish counter but no hot foods. Outside they usually have some good value produce & seasonal goods. All in all, I can spend $15 & walk away with 4-5 bags of produce. Spring & Summer, they carry fairly good selection of annuals & perennials @ OK prices. They also have sales on plants toward the end of season. Again, check before you buy. Staff are OK, although English is a 2nd language...they try but if you need actual help, customer service & cashiers are more versed in English.

Theyre not enforcing masks or social distancing. I also saw some expired meat that they were still selling. Make sure you check the dates before you buy. Update, I came back today but I was not shopping. I was going with a friend and they were doing their shopping. Saw a guy walking around without a mask. Again no staff said anything. Out of respect I did not take a picture of the man who was walking around without one for privacy concerns. And also because I would not know how to explain why I would take a random persons picture. This place is not that clean. They rarely if ever clean and sweep and you can see it. There is always garbage on the floors or loose leaves that have been stepped on and are rotting. If it is "swept" they put it under the food. See the pictures below. I know this place had a pest problem before and I would not be surprised if they still do. Do not be fooled by the renovation they did. It looks nice on the outside but the moment you go in its not. I do think that the prices are good. But it does not change the the following facts: - Not following covid laws - Not Clean - Selling expired meat and not even at a reduced price - Garbage everywhere - Poor customer service

Quality of produce has definitely taken a dive in recent months...it use to always be good veggies and fruit but now not so much...prices are decent but u still need quality and thats lacking...also cleanliness has also taken steps backward and thats unacceptable...would not recommend

We only come for the produce anything else isn't worth it. The smell is probably the sea food counter is right by the produce its where they gut and clean the fish. Cashiers don't care they just do their jobs kinda like robots lol. Overall if you're not that picky its fine for produce its cheap compared to anywhere else. if you are picky I suggest not even looking at this place.

It has gone down hill a bit, maybe due to covid, The staff at the meat and fish counters are rather rude and impatient. It could be a little understood for impatiens on a busy day, witch it was not. However rudeness is wrong. If you wish to save money on very fresh produce poultry meats this is the store for you.
