This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Asian grocery store.
This is an Asian grocery shop where meet and fish are available. Halal food is also sold here. Price little bit higher then Others. Fresh vegetables fruits you can buy here
Solid Asian grocery store. Good, affordable produce, lots of selection, plenty of tellers to move you through quickly.
Great community supermarket with Caribbean and Asian specialty foods and snack. Good selection of fresh meats and fish.
This was my first time there and I was impressed. Very neat and organized. Fantastic selection of fruits, vegetables and international foods. Lots of fresh fish and meats to choose from as well as packaged and frozen. Friendly staff.
These illiterate people had a employee follow me around the store yelling "get out!" Because I was mask exempt I literally have a disability and they don't understand what that means. I tried to get them to read the bylaw sign they had posted on the main entrance, two employees told me they don't speak or understand English... Worst grocery store ever.
Typical Chinese Supermarket selling a variety of Asian and West Indian groceries. Their weakly specials start on Fridays. Most imported items are reasonably priced
There are some good deals and produce is always fresh.
Great prices and the produce is always fresh. Also nice that they always have more than enough cashier's so there is never a line
It's ok, but no one speaks English, so its a little hard to find ,what your looking for!
It’s a clean and well maintained store but prices have been going up recently.
I have purchased products from this store multiple times, that have been already past expiry date. I’m not sure how you can’t check the shelves, especially deli meats and make sure things aren’t 4 days past expiry date? Whoever purchases products from here, makes sure to check all expiry date labels.
Its OK. Nice if you are doing a quick grocery trip. Clean and big. However, there much better options else where if you want better deals and options within 10 minutes drive
ive been going here for a long time and never had any problems i live at greystone walks so its so easy to just go
cashier is not so much co-operative. I think , they have some problem with language.
Great deals on strawberries, and blueberries. I shop here weekly for 60 to 70 dollars to serve a family of 3. Fits weekly food budget. I recently made miso soup from the ingredients I bought here it tastes great.
Very large , spacious. Good selection of Asian products.
I just left there.. and I am not exaggerating... The meat guy was so so so rude.. I almost left in ytear... The guy gave me the wrong meat so I corrected him.. I honestly felt like he was going to come over the counter and grab me... That was devastating.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. U less you don't mind being abused and treated like garbage... Omg . My nerves are shot.. we paid for our stuff and left...and WILL NOT BE COMING BACK. and I will be taking my complaints to social media... And letting everyone know how horrible and abusive my experience was.. it's a danger..and can't imagine if it was my elderly parents being treated as such... Wow wow wow.. STAY AWAY FROM HERE...
Sheesh is pretty good but it is a bit dirty in the clearance aisle and I'm always there
Judging it by Chinese supermarket standard, it was ok. Not very large but relatively clean. Price was not wow but sometimes you might find some good deal.
Great place for produce, just watch out for the guy watching people fooling around with the mangos. He'll tell at ya if you look to long
The vegetables are ok. Meat is a bit uncheap. Usually do the shopping twice a week here. Can play a bit. Fun.
It's a good place for groceries and well organized.
Prices are good but the vegetables go bad very fast as compared to other markets. I think the storage within store is not decent. Cashiers are...omg, they don't smile.
The rice that we bought stinks (very old) we couldn’t eat it! (Long Grain Pakwan Basmati). It’s aweful. We’ll never buy there again… Bad experience! Eww!!!
Can't say enough about this physio and Chiro. Very professional and they get right to the point and help you heal , also nice and clean
This grocery is perfect to have your shopping. You can buy live fish too.
I found the waitress rights Navi on the other hand the food was delicious but the waitress was very rude to us until we ask for a food to go then she was very good at to us when I try it again yes I would the food is delicious
Supermarket with good prices on fruits/veg, tho don't expect to find all brands/products which you usually get at local Walmart.
Decent but expensive Chinese groceries.
Fast service. Has a variety of options on food, fruits and meat/fish products. Their line ups are very fast and efficient services. The supermarket is very clean and tidy. Management is always around helping out. Very friendly customer service.
Rude!!!! At ALL SHOPPING VISITS WRONG!!! they don't answer questions, let you know where store items are would not call you a cab oven in your pregnant n with children I can go on for days wait n see read replies you will see have a nice night. Fu Yao supermarket shopper
Love the fresh produce , but the only thing I would criticize is the fact that if u are looking for something particular u really cannot ask cause most cannot really speak good English
Great selection of Asian food. Fresh meat and fish counter, and the fruit and vegetables are always well maintained.
Good prices, pretty decent selection of everything.
DO NOT try the free samples they sometimes do. It is very unsanitary. One time this lady was scratching her legs with both hands using gloves and then preparing the same food with that glove. It's disgusting
Shop lifting must be an issue at this store. There are literally 10 people staring at you while you shop. Its extremely uncomfortable. I usually have shorts and my credit card in my back pocket. No bags. Because if you do they actually follow you. Even still staring as you shop. Weird experience. Unfortunately closest Asian grocery store to me. Otherwise I would shop else where. Dont bring in bags. I didnt even notice until maybe the 3rd time I shopped there. I had my big purse because I came back from work to pick up a few things. I couldnt find the item. And turned around in every isle and there was a guy following me. Sheesh. Tone it down. Otherwise the meat quality is poor. Only buy brand stuff there.
Supermarket was clean and well stocked. I won't saw staff was friendly but they weren't rude, just indifferent. I found prices to be higher than I expected for most items.
Great supermarket for fruit & veg also they have a butcher& fishmonger..overall nice shop
Fun Yao Supermarket has a good selection of fresh veggies and fruits, presentation is good and service is excellent.
You can't complain about the prices on produce, but grocery items like pasta and bread are pretty expensive. And the cashiers are terribly rude.
Okayish selection of items with a wide variety of asian condiments. Prices on dairy and bakery items are too high.
This is my local asian market I have been frequenting for ten years. Fruits and vegetables selection is good and fairly fresh. Stay away from the dairy and eggs, not rotated and often expired. Meats and seafood are just okay. Convenient if you live close by, but better Asian markets a short drive away.
Not bad. Some prices are good like passion fruit but other prices are high
Good place to shop. Not to expensive.
I really can't say much about fu yao supermarket because I just went inside to get some ginger and leave didn't have the time to spend inside .but it's seems like a good place to go shopping.
I love going to Fuyao at Greystone Walk. You can find most of the Asian food you can think of. The place is kept well cleaned and organized as well. Social distancing is observed at all times. Like any other groceries, lately I noticed the prices had increased quite a bit. I can not afford anymore the sweet Ori tangerines I used to buy at $1.99 per pound, but now it is $3.59. The sweet potatoes or camote used to be $1.99, now it is $2.59. In Lone Tai Supermarket it is still $1.99 and in Top Food it is $2.39. If prices can be a little close to their competitors, then it would be a bit better.
Prices have gone up significantly. Not worth the trip.
Go to supermarket for saltfish, okra and yellow yam.
Don't seem to carry the same products, repeatedly. Bought Vegetarian Red/White bean cookies. Went back for more, nowhere to be found
Very bad service attitude. They ignore you if you don't wear face mask. This attitude is only for Chinese people not for people from other races.
Great selection of produce and good prices. Good variety of Seafood and butcher available.
Good place for fresh veggies and fruits.
Asian grocery store with decent selection of groceries and products. Prices are high in my opinion and products look not to fresh.
Good prices on a lot of items like seafood (good selection) fish, rice and certain vegetables. Recommend!
Good super store. Range of various items can be stored. Items can be better organised to the shelves. Fish stocks were good; meat products can be provisioned.
This store is very convenient. Fresh fruit, vegetables, butcher, fresh seafood, and so much more.
Not a bad place to shop in a pinch. Usually get packaged goods here. Produce and meat section are questionable. Haven't had a bad experience so far.
A well stocked local supermarket. Friendly staff. This is where you can get all of your Chinese & other grocery products
This grocery store offers live seafood, fresh cut meats from the butcher shop, and a very wide range of products...including cookware. Their produce is fresh. I don't think there is anything that you won't be able to find.
There is a variety of produce and other kinds of foods at a relatively affordable price point. The cashiers seemed annoyed every time I went, but other than that it is a very convenient supermarket.
It's a oriental grocery store, pretty much has all the groceri s you'd want. Other than that had no really bad experiences here of the many times I've needed to pick up certain products.
Employees are very unhelpful and no direction or description on the aisle. Good luck finding whatever you are looking for. Took me half an hour to find the where the bread was.
This place has very good deals, especially food items you will see with a "Yellow" label on them, beating prices of most bottom tier grocery stores. Only problem is most of the staff do not speak a word of English. I go to this store on a weekly basis and there is only 1 personal that speaks English, so if your new and trying to find an item, your looking for it on your own! They carry a selection of food items that span numerous nationalities, so your bound to find what your looking for.
Since the pandemic, quality has plummeted. Fruits, veggies, and meat goes bad in a couple of days. DON'T BUY THE FISH! Got sick twice.
On the day I went nothing much was on sale. All produce and fruits were more expensive than similar type of nearby stores.
It feels a little run down but it has everything you need for basic cooking and price is very fair
Standard as far as local grocery but the good thing about them they don't close during any holiday
Have to pick and choose what you purchase as there's lots of rotten food. Price point is good but if you need the veg to last longer than a few days I would purchase elsewhere. No one speaks English. I asked for clams and the gentleman just kept yelling red snapper and salmon at me.
Nice lottle market and good shopping experience
Great selection of fruits & veggies, very fresh, and competitive prices. Staff don't speak English but are eager to help, and fast checkout.
It's a ok store. Not so many unique varieties in items. Vegetables are not always fresh. I bought a watermelon last week, it was cheaper but couldn't eat it since got spoiled inside. Halal section of meat is there too.
It's a grocery store with all the essentials. It also sells exotic foods and products. I shop there all the time as it carries products from my native country.
You have to pack some patience on weekends otherwise good product mix and staff are friendly and efficient. Meat and fish counters get busy at times during the weekends and there is no ticket system, sometimes you get testy and or impatient customers who line cut but that is the nature of the customer base...it is definitely not like shopping at a Loblaws or Metro...just be patience during weekends.
Good produce and butcher section. Fare prices too.
I always enjoy doing groceries from them. They have good prices on vegetables and fruits. However, recently they spiked up the prices for green/red thai curry cans stuff, breads and also shrimp packages as well. Still a good reasonable place to do your groceries ????
Accessible, fresh products, complete (I do my marketing here) from dairy, fish, meat, vegetables,fruits...etc. parking not a problem. Outside there is McDonald, Chinese restaurant, hair salon, dolar store, etc.
Small Asian supermarket but is well stocked and offers a lot of variety of items like fruits, canned food, meats, dairy etc. Fairly clean and love the fact that they run great weekly sales that compete with the big box stores.
Good for vegetables and meats. Prices are relatively less compared to others for meat. Some vegetables are priced above than other stores. Not much options when it comes to processed and packed food items.
Affordable food. Most staff can't speak English.
It is generally good for fish, other seafood and for the local Caribbean foods. The prices here prove to be more reasonable than the regular West Indian stores. The staff are usually polite and helpful as well.
Grate super market best prices for meat can't beat big chains always there
This is medium Asian market , I lot of products but smell a fish , also need to be clean.
Nice store everything is available
All the mediocre reviews are right and I don't doubt for a second that they price gouge. But damn the clearance section has some nice steals...just ignore the workers and they'll ignore you. I found some of them to be very nice, depending on the day lol. Some are soulless tho.
Overpriced. Please check BEST BEFORE dates before buying. Employees barely speak english, but do their best to provide good service.
Dirty store & rude sales associates. Will never go there again
Fu Yao Supermarket is a great place to go to for items relating to Asian, Caribbean and Indian cuisines, as well as many other favourites!
Very cheap place and really good stuff ... they just don't have a variety of bread
Always check ground meat. Make sure you smell it and look closely at the colour. Twice I was victimized of spoiled meat mixed with fresh ones. Meat produce are the worst. Fruits are good most of the times. Veggie, canned, and dry goods are ok. Especially watch out if the product is put on special deals, chances are those stuff are about to expire in a few days or, at most, in a week.
The customer service is horrid I've come here 3 times and the employees that are there disregard any acknowledgement that it's the customers that pay their wages not the other way around On an other note ,if you are reading this (Fu Yao) supermarket,, we white Canadians are the people that can make or break a business Try showing a little more respect for the freedom you have
Great place for freshest of the produce. Clean and fast.
Has variety of fruits and vegetables all fresh though price is a bit more than other local supermarkets. Well arranged and easy to access walk through. Has a big fish and meat section.
They have good produce and collection of Asian food ingredients. The price of the Asian foods are okay and local foods have higher price. The store could be way more cleaner.
It's close to home so I shop there regularly. Overall prices are ok and the store is clean. There is a variety of produce, fresh meat and sea food including live fish. I often buy a box of chicken legs with thigh attached(18kg or 40lbs). Price depends on chicken sales in that week and can range from $30.00- to regular price of $52.00.
Low quality produce and meats. Apples are brown inside the day after I buy them and found some weird growth inside a chicken breast. Will never buy produce and meat there again.
They have all the things you need from Asia, I think????
Clean store not as fully stocked as some supermarkets. But everything is fresh
Always good, but, can't find anyone for answering questions in English.
Large assortment of vegetables and fruits. I'm used to shopping at the bigger supermarkets but the different products sold here is refreshing.
Decent place for a quick grocery trip. It has lots of choices for Asian and international products. Most of the staff at the meat and fish section are snubby and grumpy. You got to be assertive to get what you need from them.
They do not carry all items like a regular grocery store. The produce is always fresh but not to trusting of the meat.
Previously loved this place...now seemed short in inventory, high price
Older store a bit dated but extremely clean and very well maintained with amazing prices
It's a big store. I went in really quick, I wanted a spicy mayo. I found Saracha mayo. But I saw big verity and I will visit again
Few things are quite expensive as compare to other prominent store. However, it has good stocks for grocery. More than 100 varieties of noodles.
too much Price hiked especially after covid -19 each
I came here all the time love the prices on the food but like two weeks ago i bought chicken bones from there and there was green meat on them so im not going back to Fu yao anymore.
I've always liked shopping at Fu Yao. Their meat and fish is fresh and lots of veggies to choose from. Their prices have been steadily going up and I notice that it's not as busy as before. They keep the place very clean and organized . They're also readily available to ask if you can't find it.
You can find an assortment of groceries in this Chinese market. Good price for value.
Great store for variety of asian vegetables, good and cheap price for meat like chicken, pork, goat etc., same like other chinese stores....great for asian people like us for food store..
Fresh fruit and vegetables is ok but meat not sure,ok customer service
糟糕的客户服务 Barely any proper customer service. If you need help it's better you take the time and look for it yourselves. No one speaks English, customer service is terrible. They stare you down, if you spend under 20 dollars you are treated badly. But yet again what do you expect from an Asian supermarket?
Good selection of grocery, fresh seafood, meat, lots of spice, plenty of free parking.
Most of the product I've bought over the years has been pretty good. Unfortunately one item that seems to be a problem on more than one occasion has been the soya milk. Already had to take it back more than once because it's curdled or just spoiled. If it's the fault of their supplier, they need to change brands, or double check the shipment before taking it. The expiry dates are put on with a sticker, they're not stamped on, so who knows when the soya milk was packed. Otherwise much of the food bought here has been pretty good.
Great staff huge selection I usually get my groceries here the price is good too
Very clean supermarket with great prices. Generally 0.10 - 0.50 cents cheaper than uptown supermarkets on common products and produce.
They give discounts on expired products and it's unacceptable. Fuji apples were all rotten from inside and they look fine from outside. They sell Very old produce.
A great market with always ( daily ) fresh stocked fruits, vegetables and a very diverse selection of multicultural products.
It's a good store and they have variety of selections. The items are fresh and good prices.
Only place to buy veggies and a few other thing..i dont know where its coming from but no frills, Wal-Mart, fresh co, can not compare to the quality of fruits and veggies here. Good work! Fu Yao !
The staff is somewhat helpful, better than other Chinese stores, good prices for fruit, veggies.
Very good for fruits and vegetables, large selection. need improve frozen and dairy area. I like to shop in this supermarket
Produce and see food are main attraction for me. Planty of vegitable are always fresh.
was trying to buy some fish today. the old gentlemen said the fish is 4.99 lb when the price tag said 3.29 lb after cleaning. when i returned to the section 10 minutes after the price was changed for the same fish to 3.69 lb. they are making up prices. feel like they are price gouging in front of customers. sad.
I love shopping here. Always clean, friendly staff, the guys at the fish and seafood section are fun. Very nice experience each visit. Thank you!
Fresh meat and fruits Great customer service from staff and cashiers especially Mary very helpful
If anyone thinks of going into this store to the meat department please don't. I was in there today and asked for a cut of meat and was treated terrible. The butcher was raising his voice to me being rude and belittling me. I should have just screamed for management. He must of been having a bad day which is not our problem but you do not take it out on your customers. I have gone there often and this will be my last day. You think management would have spoken to him or even let him go as I heard this was not the first time. This service was unbelievable and atrocious .
Very expensive produce section!
Great prices with a range of vegetables BUT poor customer service especially the people at the meat and fish section. They yell alot at people. No body to ask if lookibg for something..I've always bought my grocery here for over 3 years until they yelled at me infront of my kids..never going back to that place.
Thee best grocery store if you are looking for an authentic chinese and other rare asian vegies and species.
Its a busy store. Vegetables price are ok. They should put halal meat here. The price of fish is moderate.
Produce is fine, but everytime I walk through their meat/fish section I want to be a vegetarian. Even when they had a store at Birchmount and Danforth we would avoid shopping at Fu Yao if we could. There are better Chinese supermarkets not far away, with better looking meat/fish and generally cleaner.
Great deals and good selection of produce and Asian products. As with most grocery stores, the people could be friendlier.
Great prices, and an excellent choice of food, from all over the world. From the islands to the exotic Asian world. Surberb Jamaican selections. Try there many pepper sauces.excellent service, all speak English, and know the store inside out. I just wish I had one in Oshawa. Enjoy
Two things stand out: though a place with no organic produce, in a slightly shambly area, the degree of artistry in displaying produce is extraordinarily high; things are stacked higher and more neatly than anywhere in my experience of the City, but for the little Asia Town that's at Gerrard and Broadview. Scenes like this are so surreal that it is difficult to make rational ground based decisions. The Detroit made, zero salt potato chips, with the pro-salt navy story on the package, along with the nice gluten free canned soup from Primo, were a real treat, and, with the pull ring top, made for a real possible alternative to the McDonald's that's in the same plaza, though how much the more that could be, with some trust in ingredients and the produce in the store generally, and, for more delicate people, a lower coefficient of edgy surrealism.
Great place to get good deals on meat and fish espicially Salmon.
Fu Yao supermarket is where i shopped all the time. I can find almost everything i need. Staff is nice and helpful.
Good grocery store in the neighborhood. Reasonable prices and variety stuff.
Awsome place!!!! Clean, with nice assortment of meat and fish! Definitely better than no frills!
Always half empty :( Dead and grim looking veg and fruits :(
The meat section guy is very unhygienic. He was moping the floor and tried to touch the minced meat I ordered without changing his dirty gloves. When I requested him to change his gloves(I cannot wash minced meat later), he yelled back at me in Chinese and asked me to leave the store. I asked for the manager but it’s impossible to find one.
Well: prices a bit hi. But always sales & discount tables/carts. Meat prices better than most. Quality of meat chicken & fish slightly off. But for the overall meat prices, quietness and convenience this is a good place.
Fresh vegetables and varieties of fruits. Cashiers are very good and expert, need some expression on their face like cordial smile. Store is clean and orderly organized.
Decent selection of Asian groceries in a clean store. Cheaper unit prices than major supermarkets with some deals. Accepts credit cards.
Great pricing and fresh produce. This is a Chinese store so expect zero service unless you speak Chinese.
They sell everything and prices are good too....
Love their selection of food and hot and cold food available
Nice and cheap place for grocery. Also they have nice parking place
Fairly priced, and has variety of grocery items.
Produce and meat are always fresh, prices are more reasonable than the big markets, and the staff is friendly.
Shelves are always stocked but the produce and meat staff are very unfriendly ☹
Good price and has eveyting a typical Chinese grocery carry
Reasonable price on vegetables and fruits, I don't buy their meat because I don't know where it comes from. Fish are very well priced but not my choice.
The place is specially good for fresh vegetables and fish. But remember the price is not as low as you would thought.
Cheap products compared to some chinese supermarket. Produce comes in more varieties too. The store is older but it's always organized and tidy. Recommendable.
Great to buy greens fir making seasoning. They do offer deals on fruits and veggies turning bad if you're interested. West Indian and Filipino groceries are sold here.
Found this store a couple of months ago...Its clean and carries almost anything you want. Good prices too. Its a one stop shop for all your groceries.
Fare prices, very good variety and quality of vegetables, organized, but difficult communication in English and CASH ONLY!
Wide range of fruits and vegetables from around the world. Great prices on meat and fish
Wide variety of foods. But many items are slightly more expensive. But it's a good place to shop if you consider convenience and the variety of Asian and Caribbean foods.
Price is reasonable on most items but some items were missing.
Lots of selection, but the place could be cleaner.
December, they usually start to distribute a calendar with the purchase over 30dollars each year.
Fu Yao is an Asian supermarket. I like to buy my fruits and vegetables in this place because their fruits are fresh and with so many varieties to choose from . The prices are reasonable.
very very neat and reasonable prices for good produce especially the fruits
Good selection and close to home
The lady at the cash counter was extremely rude and started screaming. They do not speak English nor French and even worse is they cheat by entering a higher weight for everything you buy. DO NOT GO THERE. The prices on display seem good but they cheat while billing
I love this place..items that i needed were on sale so i went there..not too far from where i live
This market is convenient and close its location is perfect cause there a plaza with food and other attractions around this market.... prices are reasonable and they open early and close late ... the store is always clean and the customer service is friendly.... the lines move quickly as well.... they have a fresh butcher in this market too and fresh and live sea food as well
Maybe some of the employees need further training so that they can smoothly adjust with Canadian society.
Fresh fruit and wide variety of sea foods.
Fresh collection of grocery and fruits. A little on the expensive side as compared to other grocery stores. But worth for the fresh products they carry.
Today I finally got a thank and have a good day....first time since they opened at Greystone Walk!
Great for asian grocery items and also, meat/fish and fruits/veggies. Just that you don't get the usual items sometimes and it is a little pricey if compared to no frills or freshco.
Great prices, always fresh produce, and wonderful staff! . My biggest problem is the beyond disgusting conditions of the red shopping carts...omg they're dirty..and to think one has to place their food items in there.. Gross
Can't complain, cashiers was very pleasant only cashier though.
Workers and cashiers not respectful and welcoming to customers as I notice, but anything else is good.
Expensive.but kind of upsetting too not even a single staff knows English.Im visiting this store since 3 years.
Clean easy to get on and out ,good for fruits and vegetables, fresh.
