Be careful when buying "fresh fish" at this place, I bought 2 whole "fresh" pickerel there, within 30 minutes when I took them out of the bag at home they smelled real bad like rotten fish, promptly returned them back for a refund and bought something else instead. The guys working at the fish counter are rude and don't answer any questions. I told them that they should check the rest of pickerel on the counter, they just laughed.

On the positive side, it is way cheaper than the establishment they replace on the same location, wider in space, and a lot of products you can choose from. On the contrary, they sell over ripe fruits, sometimes hard on the outside but very soft on the inside, or you can see the outer parts good but under the fruit is rotten. Customers should be very picky and inspect every item especially fruits and vegetables if they are still consumable.

Halal meat counter FALSE advertising. Flyer stated FRESH Halal Veal T-bone steaks 3.97lb which is a double loin in the picture. Called in advance to verify that extra thick fresh steaks can be cut at the counter. "We have a lot, come here and we will do" was what was said by a woman running the place. 35min drive only to see a flea market set up with literally pre cut rock solid frozen 1 inch veal chops untrimmed and bones piled up for sale. Buyer beware ????????

This is a great little hidden gem connected to Malvern Town center. Generally you can find everything that you're looking for at a fairly good price. They have both halal and regular meat available and different kinds of seafood.

I come here for the food court. The food court offers unbeatable meals that are both tasty and also very cheap. They have Chinese, Japanese, and American style foods.

Big. Clean. Lots of variety. Surprisingly small sashimi selection but they've got decent looking bentos and ramens. Chinese BBQ is decent. Rotisserie chickens were on sale last week for $5.98 each. Better texture and less salty than Costco's, although the chickens are slightly smaller. Got a bag of chopped kale for $2.99. The only other place I've seen it is at Galleria, and it's $3.99 there. They have the widest range of prepared foods, ethnically speaking, that I've seen at a grocery store. Chinese, Japanese, some Filipino, some Indian, some Caribbean, and some North American. For those of you who are into fried chicken, they have large pieces of fried chicken, but the breading is only so-so and while the chicken is juicy, it lacks flavor. I want another location closer to home. This may just have become my new favorite grocery store.

This is a very impressive Asian market off of Tapscot Road. The extent of the selection of all goods is exceptional. We had an Asian meal in the prepared food section, were impressed by the extensive produce selection as well as a very interesting fresh fish section.

The supermarket is supposed to have a friendly staff for the best experience but this place has just the opposite. They should train their staff to be more respectful towards the customers and help them instead of blabbering something in their own language. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

We would have gave them 5 ???? for the variety of the fruit and the cleanes of the store. Unfortunately, we could not do that because the fresh whole chicken we bought was wotten and we had to throw it to garbage. We don't think they keep the chicken according to the shelf life. I love the clean look the friendly staff and some prices are great. But the take out food section is pretty bland especially the Western world the food is either over cooked and bland or cooked OK but still bland and cold. Not sure what is wrong with the steam tables but the food has never been hot when I placed an order. The Eastern world they take to long to respond to you or are to slow. But the food is good. I also wish they would keep certain foods in the cooler instead of the freezer like the cases of chicken. They should keep a lot of stock they started with. I bought breakfast ham slices that looked like bacon slices but only once because right after they were no longer available. It's a lovely store other wise. I will continue to shop there as long as they keep the prices low. I find it much better than the No Frill's.

This is a huge supermarket in Malvern Town Centre comprising both the old No Frills and Shoppers Drug Mart spaces. Very clean and neat. It also has a food section and there is space to sit and eat the reasonably priced food you buy here. This is going to give No Frills on McLevin and Neilson a run for its money. The place is full of shoppers and the parking lot is full. We needed a large supermarket like this in Malvern for a long time and now we have it.

Only problem is not a very good food court or BBQ area. Also the washrooms are too far away and they need more cashiers as wait times are too long.

Mostly foreign products. I know it's a Chinese market and love these markets however some of the others have more variety outside Chinese products . Was hoping to be able to do all my shopping here instead of no frills however am disappointed. I think it's a fantastic market if your looking for just Chinese product but if not this is not the market for you.

Great store but not so great when it comes to bargain prices for vegetables and fruits. The store was formerly No Frills. The store occupies a huge space for shoppers to move around and browse comfortably without being too close to other shoppers. Some people are not respecting the 6 feet distance but that is the case in other stores as well. A rule enforcement should be implementing because people seem to forget or ignore. The store is implementing the restricted measure for the Covid -19 pandemic, which is great. There is a security guard at he door to take customers temperature upon entry.

And now Coco Bubble tea and The Best Shop Some of the items in the grocery store part, I find expensive.

I cannot recommend the ground chicken from the halal section, it’s packed with ice (You can literally see the flakes of ice between the meat) and it clogged up when cooking and taste horrible, wish I could rate it 0. Also some of the workers in freshland I ask them questions in English and they cannot reply back in English instead they are speaking to a West Indian in Chinese language ????

HERE WE GO :( How not to do your job as a cleaner. Let me begin by saying the actions of this one employes do not reflect that of the others or management. It is still a great place to shop. Thus the 3 stars ????. The night time cleaner invaded our personal space and started sweeping around myself and partern. At which point I assume he is in his own world being at work and all. He then start getting too close, at which point he swings the dust pan over both our baskets while hiding behind us while talk on the phone pretending he is communicating to the staff in spanish (I asked, non of them speak spanish but him) When I called him out on it, he lied and insisted I get my eyes checked cause I was seeing things. (The manager reviewed the tape and told me I was right about what I saw) The cleaner then tells me that I need to respect him and talk to him nicely if I have a problem. This is where things fall off. I tell him he had voided that respect after he has disrespected us and is now flat out lying about what he did. Other saw eveything and I was told he has had problems with getting too close to customers before. I gave him and ear full of how he needs to apologize and move back a bit cause of provincial protocal cause of the C19 viris. At which point he tells me he is not going anywhere and if I have a problem I can go get the manager myself if I think I am so perfect. Trust me, I'm not. We walfs off after I tell him ill call the cops cause now he is not leaving. He walks off call my a "f*cking idiot" while repeating it to who he was on the phone with. I look for a manager and get some employees to help me out before they ask "for what"? He sees me trying to get help and starts following us around as we go looking for help. He begins lying to the customer service representative about how I said he was putting garbage in our baskets. When the manager finally comes out I have to explain to him that in no way was I accusing the cleaner of putting garbage into my basket. I could see no garbage was in there. I ask why did he need to be do close to us to begin with? Dose he not know the safety protocols? I explian that he pretended to clean to get close to us. We are in a pandemic no one gets that close to you unless they are looking for a fight. Why would he risk his life to get that close to us? Cause he was looking for a fight. I have seen this cleaner around and I see how he operates around customers always getting close to them and trying to make it look like he is just doing his job. We all see people mess with people cause they are board or sad. And I am not one to disrespect anyone while they are working, they have enough to deal with already. But if you going looking for trouble that's what happens. Respect is easy you just have to admit you are wrong and apologize, its the first thing we learn in the home. Please educate yourself and employees about respect to anyone that reads thing. We all have enough to deal with without having to invade eachothers space. Goodluck and take care readers.

This local supermarket has made the entire Malvern Town center ten times better. There is fresh meat and fish and I haven't seen any low quality produce. Plus you can buy all the products for Filipino, Mexican and Chinese recipes and more. There is also a fresh bakery and pre-cooked meals for very reasonable prices. Much cheaper than Loblaw's, more selection than No Frills or other grocers.

I bought chicken wings from here and the meat was rotten when I brought it back the lady that smelt the food made a face from the foul odour it wasn’t even two hours of my purchase the man refused to refund my whole purchase because half the meat was cooked. I Believe he didn’t want to refund the cooked meat because he can’t resell it.He also said no one else complained so he can’t give me a full refund and when we asked him to say on video that he will not refund us our money he refused I told him I will be calling public health and he told to call them .PLEASE DONT BUY FOOD FROM THEM!!!

The thing that lacked was the bad customer service by this guy who looked to be either the owner or the manager. He was at the cashier, product price didn’t match the shelf tag, so I said to cancel & wanted to let home know it didn’t match. Trued to buy turkey wing which were whole , asked to get them cut and was told to go pay for it first then come back, and after finishing go back to pay for rest of groceries.... well they list a sale. They do have a huge food court, Asian and Filipino .

It is a new supermarket selling mostly East Asian Food at well as South East Asian Food. It is very big and very good lighting ( very bright ). Very comfortable to shop. Lot of cooked food sections including Chinese Dim Sum, cooked dishes, BBQ, Janpanese Sushi, Philipino Food and South East Asian Samosa, Naan..... I think it is better than T&T. Meat and fish departments are clean and fresh. And they have a lot of family size frozen goods. They also have a halal meat section with very fresh lamb meat. Price is very good compare with other supermarkets. My bill came to $30.00 and I think I saved at least $10.00. :) Since it was just newly opened recently, I hope they can keep this up. Dec, 27th, 2018 I wrote the above review when they first opened. The recent visite of this supermarket, I found the place became a little bit smelly in the meat and frozen food sections. I'm concerning about their cleaness. We'll see.

A little larger than your average Asian Supermarket. Very clean and well organized. The food court area offers up quite a variety of not just Chinese food but Carribean as well that's quite reasonable price and tasty too. As you walk around the store you can't help but notice employees in various departments cleaning. Good prices on meats and, fruits and vegetables that can rival the competition. Might be our new go to supermarket.

You will find a wide variety of grocery and some coming from Europe too. Prices are very reasonable. The catering section sells a variety of dishes inside the store. Unfortunately, the food lacks taste and flavor. The fried items sold reek of stale oil not changed frequently during the day.

Ample parking lot is available located at the malvern mall. Huge store run by Chinese and some staff don't understand English properly. I wondered how these guys managed to settle in Canada. Prices are OK though I thought little higher than other Chinese supermarket around. Live sea food including lobsters and crabs are available and free of cutting and cleaning cost. it can be busy at peak time though not a very long queue.

Went for the first time to look for Couscous, and was not disappointed. Not only did we find couscous but we found a wide range of food! from their exotic produce section to their Halal (by hand!) meat department! Bonus: Now you can't enter from the Mall, that should keep the mall-rats at bay and make sure that only patrons of FreshLand are in the store!

Thought i would try the good looking dishes from the Chinese food buffet..Customers kept budding in front me me, while the staff, ignored as i tried to get their attention...I wish I left right there and then. i did not, however, Bad mistake, I suffered from Salmonella food poisoning, severe nausea, diarrhea and vomiting...I will NEVER enter that store again. I wish I got my DR to write up a report and submit it to the health inspector. Stay away from there!

Two chinese hotdog buns for $1.29?? Decently cheap place for lunch / hot prepared foods if you seek out the weekly / occasional deals. The Japanese lunchbox for $6ish is good value too, plus they have a bbq counter, 'eastern' and 'western' kitchens and bbt/fastfood stall (in addition to the Japanese food) for good variety. The rest of the grocery store has average prices. Also it is abnormally clean for a chinese grocery store. Very well stocked.$3 for 15 chicken nuggets is great - ask for some plum sauce!

One of the big size stores in Scarborough. Huge selection of groceries and food. Their fruit section is of amazing quality. The store has a regular butcher, a halal butcher, and live fish section. Their selection of meat and fish is something you will not find anywhere in Scarborough under one roof. Mostly reasonably priced. They also have a food court with different cuisines. With many billing counters, the checkout is fast too. They have renovated a bit recently and started opening small sized novelty stores under the same roof.

Pros: - Well renovated, large selection of foods from all cultures - Prices for produce & fresh meat are unbeatable (lower than no frills & food basics usually) - Produce is fresh - Discounted hot food after 7pm ish (very good price) Cons: - Prices for western foods (cereal, pasta sauces, bacon, ice cream) etc... are usually MORE EXPENSE than No Frills & Food basics. Western foods like breads bagels are very limited. - There are only 2 checkouts that take credit card and even on Saturday, the cashiers seem like there is only 5-6 which causes longer wait times. It's too bad really, if they made the western food prices competitive with No Frills, this supermarket would be a one stop shop. They would gain a tremendous amount of business. It would be way more convenient. Right now I go to Freshland to buy produce, meats, hot food and go to No Frills to buy all the breads, icecream, pasta, western items. One more note: No Frills that used to occupy their space which moved to the street really screwed themselves over. They probably moved out to reduce their rent but instead they lost probably over half their customers to Freshland.

It's big place compare to other Asian supermarket, it is clean as every night they vacuum the place. When buying food always check expiration date, as sometimes they still display expired product. It would be nice if all employees are friendly but nope, girl cashiers are friendly as of the guy that sometimes in the cashier he is rude. As well as when you go to butcher/meat section they are not helpful as well as in seafood section. Good snack section as you could find a lot of variety. Cheaper meat prices, more expensive frozen product compare to other Asian store. As for fruits and veggies, little option and sometimes not as fresh. So if you are looking for snack and meat go to this place, but if you will buy more frozen and produce better go somewhere else.

????‍♂️????‍♂️Steve jobs would call this place The most innovative supermarket in the world. Super modern and clean, great quality, and to top it off, fantastic prices. The teriyaki box with miso soup gets made in front of you, for only $6.59! Portions are generous too. ???? I don't think saying this place is a Chinese market does it justice because they also serve jamacian and halal food among others.???????????????? Chances are, you'll find your cravings here. There even a bubble tea and smoothie shop in here! Oh, and of course, you can do grocery shopping here too ???? On the other hand, the rice tasted a little dry, but that was my only complaint. 5/5 would visit again. Highly recommend this place.

I like that they have a biscuits part which are from Turkey but they are always having expired dates on package. Be carefull on shopping on tbis market because they are careless about expirations! Went there for my BBQ duck fix....delicious, tasty, fatty, tender.....what not to love. Had varieties of fresh vegetable. The meat was fresh as well. Hot food table got great selections. If you like Chinese buns then better be there early. Once they sold out then have to wait for the next day. The only thing I miss is the whole salmon! They used to sell them by the whole fish and now they raised the price much more, cut into fish steak & sell them by the kilos only.

This is specific reflecting on the halal meat department. We went there a few times to buy beef and they will only clean their meat under request or depending on their mood. When I compared the cleanse of meat from the display and the ones he got from the walk-in cooler, they told me that it’s the same thing and that they don’t clean their meat and they sell it how it is. This is hard to believe as every meat department would cleans their meat so it is presentable to the buyers. However, I am unsure of what they are trying to do pushing consumers away.

Went to Grand Opening August 28, 2018. Stood in line since 8am to get a $10 coupon. But once store opened only the first 10 people got $10 coupon and others got $2 coupon or less. The flyer stated first 200 in line get $10 coupon that was a BIG lie. Standing in line for 2 hours only to get $2 coupon a joke. I only bought eggs which were 2/$3 so with my $2 coupon I paid $1. I will never shop in this store again. It's to expensive and nothing that great. Cross the street and shop at No Frills instead. Better and cheaper prices all the time. Unless your Chinese you won't like this place.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! My mother and I bought some turkey sausages at the market on July 22, 2020, around 4:45 pm and came home, opened the package to fry, and there was slime and it was completely bad. We drove back and tried to speak to the manager about it. First we were told it's not a big deal. We wanted to report as to save anyone else from getting sick and for product control. The manager DID NOT LISTEN. Was angry as to why he was "disturbed" and again we were brushed off. He would not listen, talked over us, tone was completely horrible and condescending. They don't care to listen to customers or address their mistakes!!! Health and food should definitely check on them. Not the first time. They don't take accountability nor listen to their customers for SPOILT PRODUCTS!

Even if it’s far away, I’m still willing to go to this supermarket, where you can buy a lot of good-quality and fair price foods from all over the world. If you walk around carefully, you can find jams from Iran and Pakistan, some honey from Saudi Arabia, and sunflower oil made in Ukraine. Been waiting on some more competition to come to Malvern...and it's here. Lovely large store for your one-stop shopping! Few comments on the food section: 1. The attendant in the roast food section (duck,pork,chicken etc) was not wearing gloves and handles the meat with his fingers which is terrible, while the folks to his left all wear gloves and they handle rice, noodle etc dishes using utensils. 2. The payment option is cash only which is tacky, hopefully this will be improved. UPDATE: 1. Attendant mentioned above in the roast section now wears a glove on one hand which seems reasonable as the chopper is in his other hand. Nice work FreshLand...thank you! On the other hand the same attendant now seems reluctant to cut up (at least a duck in my case), and handed me a whole duck in a bag which I refused. He did eventually cut it up for me as I was not going to buy without it being cut up as is the standard. This was somewhat bizarre but ended well...will see what happens next time around. 2. The payment options now include credit/debit from day 2 of opening...thanks for the quick work to rectify Freshland!

Very surprising. My uncle regulars here and suggested I pay them a visit, and it did not disappoint. Parking is nothing to worry about, the lot is huge, as is the grocery store itself. First impression was "this place is massive" like it use to be a Costco warehouse or something. Prices are pretty decent too, not quite as expensive as T&T or Bestco, comparable to Skyland, all of which I regular to. But this is what really impressed me; their food. The steam table is massive, their dim sum options is decent, theres BBQ available that looks good, a fast food section with a variety of non-chinese dishes, Japanese soup noodles and bento box, a grill, desserts, and bubble tea. My son wanted fried chicken so I opted for their fast food counter where I got chicken biryani for myself. The food was decent; the fried chicken tasted like an attempt to replicate KFC with a drier, non greasy dry batter but the chicken inside was relatively bland. Fries were decent too. The biryani came with a full leg, mildly spicy flavored with clove, tumeric, cinnamon stick, and cardamom. Neither were the best or life changing, but they were remarkably inexpensive...$4.99 for each option with an additional $0.50 for a fountain drink that was too heavy on the syrup mix. Hard to beat and I hope to come back to try other options.

I ordered one lb of roast pork, I saw him cut it and he left a piece on the side, when I confronted him, he said that is not from my cut, it was previously left there. plus he said he not the owner it doesn't benefit him. I should have him weight it right there, but didn't do so. When I got home with further examination, he definitely cheat me on the weight. Will not go back. If you go there, bewares, that is why they have the boxes place in front of the chopping board to block your view.

Big and clean supermarket. This place has anything and everything you might need in the kitchen, from all over the world! The lines are generally small so less time spent in the checkout. There's a super nice takeout/food court on one side, and groceries on the other. Their takeout has a huge selection of different ethnic cuisines in nice sized portions. The grocery side has a wide variety of very fresh produce and ingredients. However, their customer service isn't the greatest in most departments and checkouts. Certain items are more pricey, but that's to be expected since most stuff is imported goods. BUT buyer beware, check expiration/best before dates BEFORE purchasing anything as they don't do refunds.

Amazing food court with many decent varieties from Asian, Japanese, Caribbean, Indian all the way to Western burgers and fish n chips. Prices are very good and the taste is not bad at all. I have been there many times and the food never disappoint me. Places are also very clean! Hidden secret for Scarborough East!!

The store is nice. However, I would not buy anything on sale, especially meat products, from them. As those products on sale are not fresh. Also, they pack products together and force you to buy in pack and you cannot pick your products, for example, ginder, orange, sweet potato, etc.

Although the store looks clean, they don't provide a wide variety as some say. Good luck if you get any one who speaks English and some employees are rude. However, their kitchen areas are convenient for those nights you don't want to cook. It's ok enough to consume and i recommend going approximately 1-2hrs prior to closing for a good quantity of food for a fair price.

Started going here lately because of the covid-19,I usually go to the No-Frills around the corner but it's lined up out the door, this one you can walk right into, just cashing out takes forever it's a lineup for cash out. I noticed the prices are very high in this store, also the cashiers are grumpy. I bought two cans of salmon and three cans of and I think on purpose the cashier scanned one can of salmon for all five cans so I end up paying about $8 too much I didn't notice cuz he's too busy at the end. Then the next time I bought two little Michelina's TV dinner and they scanned at 3 x charge me one extra. You have to keep a watch on these people they rip you off.

The place is very clean/well kept with fresh grocery items and more. What I find difficult here is if you have a question there's no one who can help you because staff hardly know any English thus the 3 stars rating. I'm sure management can work to improve on this issue for a better shopping experience.

Bought one of their weekly food specials (sweet and sour pork). got home and tasted it and realized they had used a bad onion for the dish. Was disappointed since it was the first time I decided to purchase food after the place opened.

If you stay around Washburn you should visit Fresh Land, they have good stuff especially the bakery area. The only problem is that they don't have soda.

I went there yesterday August 22, 2018. The board inside the mall a.k.a the murral, will always be there because Freshland supermarket extended the grocery store bigger than no frills that was there before. also, It has a sign that says please sign up that workers are needed to give applications into customer service desk however the store is not open yet and who do you honestly ask to give a resume in??? The note is also said in chinese. Like I am not Chinese... The murral says opening in Spring 2018, Spring has sprung, gone, summer came and is also almost over... Its opening later next week or sometime september? How do we apply for the jobs??? I need a job as I am going back to school!!

I bought two regular size beef sirloin from the fresh meat section because it's on sale. When I got home, I found out that only half of it are meat and the rest are parts I don't know inserted inside the package. So I went to the customer service section to complain but the STORE MANAGER didn't even bother to check with their meat section about my concern and told me he can't help me. I think he knows what is going on in the meat section that's why he chose to ignore my complain. Check the meat before leaving the meat section counter, don't be like me.

Hurrah!!!!To MOHAMMAD,the manager of the Halal Meat Section.He was so great in costumer service,helped me in all my needs to choose and get the best cut of the meat and the price is reasonable.Great place to shop,wide variety of products.I will highly recommend to go to this store to experience the excellent service from the manager of Halal meat section....I definitely give 5 star for him

First time for me, Went there to buy chicken legs for 38 cent/lb on sale but nothing was there (sold out) plus olive oil extra virgin for 2.88$( based on the flyer) what I find there is 2.88$ for extra virgin blended with canola oil. This is a tricky hook not representing properly the article on the flyer, other than that it was a nice supermarket, very clean, but not that cheap comparing to the others.

Staff don't speak much english. But they are nice. Very helpful. The selection of items is very good. Parking lot is busy now a days. Love the food court too. Very clean. Prices are better than the No Frills. I prefer going here than No Frills.
