This Fruit Store is included in the category of Chinese supermarket.
Prices are decent and check out relatively quick. HOWEVER, those guys working the seafood area are super rude. I witnessed a customer getting yelled at by the seafood guy because she wanted to choose her live crab. He kept on insisting …
Grocery is decent but there definitely needs to be more staff here.
Parking is pretty much a nightmare in this area. My son has piano in the front portion of the building and the parking area is a helluva lot smaller there and that is a free for all. In back they are even worse trying to navigate by the produce and meat trucks and other cars. Inside isn't much different as it is packed and people here are rude here I find. The store is a bit on the dirty side and most things on sale here seem to be stuff going bad soon. Better quality elsewhere imho
The product price there is quite reasonable. But the smell inside the supermarket was quite bad. Besides, the parking lot was quite bad, not recommended if you drive a nice car.
I think this location is somehow connected to the Field Fresh Supermarket which is my favourite grocery store for meat. They have plenty of stock, they're clean, and they're very efficient. I won't give away their secrets but I go out of my way to shop here.
A typical Chinese supermarket with an assortment of products. Has a Filipino (Chinese) Lechon style barbeque and seafood section in addition to fruits, vegetables and canned goods. Prices are very competitive. If you're in the area, it's a good option for groceries.
The cashiers don't know how to treat customers, they don't understand what's respect at all, obviously they don't know how to talk and not being well trained. If there is a zero star, I would put 0. Supermarket doesn’t care about customer service? You should put an eye on whoever on duty of 12th Jan morning.
Clean place , only a few employers working there can speak english, price good
Apparently the owner of this supermarket has committed wage theft (as he's already been investigated by the Ministry of Labour and found to owe his employees tens of thousands of dollars). Do NOT shop here until he meets the demands of his employees. People here have worked at well below minimum wage. The manager also assaulted people who showed up who tried to advocate for these workers.
Clean grocery! Fresh meat and veggies along with the usual dried good selections. On site bakery and BBQ counters make this a great one-stop shop.
Sells all grocery, vegetables, fish, meat, bakery and nice crispy roast pork. Good place
Neat little grocery store tucked away behind other buildings. Today's deals were really great and the store seemed decently clean, especially for a store that isn't apart of a huge westernized grocery chain. I'd go back for sure!
I drive around 23 kms to get to this store, one of my favorites in Toronto for the variety of items they have. Milk is a little expensive here. Nice store with helpful staff and they play nice songs too.
I recommend this supermarket as it has everything, from cooked food, bakery, groceries, fresh produce, housewares, you name it. It is pretty cheap, too. First time I tried eating lunch there and a big portion of fried rice, jumbo shrimp and beef short ribs for only $5.69 including tax. It is not just cheap, but tastes good as well. Can't beat that. There are always special discounts on various items everyweek. Whenever, I go in that area, I don't miss going there and always end up buying three or more items.
Did some quick shopping in February 2019 and found that they have renovated since I have last been here. It seems brighter and cleaner overall, with improved signage and more room in the aisles than I remember. Very competitive prices and speedy cashiers too. The two lanes that access the parking lot are tight so there tend to be slowdowns when driving through them. But give it a chance if value is your priority.
Been here several times and one thing that will always stand out is the ignorant staff. The older the staff member, the more disgusting the attitude. The front store area is consistently filthy, time and time again. Just spent $90.00 on BBQ and when I asked for some sauce, she explains 0.30 cents per sauce. She couldn't even give me 1 little sauce. Just said no, couldn't even put "no" in a sentence for me. Never coming back.
i have no worries with the prices, it is just you have a rude and discourteous staff who ruin everything else. my wife was pointing some meats she wants, but this specific staff doesn't want to stoop and check what my wife was pointing at and giving us a hard time. the asking of questions was just going on forever and a quick stoop and check would have lessened the aggravation. others we've dealt with before are so courteous and would gladly give us what we want smilingly, well this guy it seems wants to only deal with his own kind.
Power was out while I was there, but it was the rude staff that was super off putting, it was busy so the staff must have been stressed. Really a tucked away Chinese market that the asain community frequents. There may have been language barriers. Otherwise has anything you'd expect from a asain supermarket. Would give 1.5 if I could.
This is Chinese store so from a non-Chinese shopper's point of view, it is as good a place to shop for groceries as any. There is plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable.
Chinese market that's cheap and not too busy. Not the cleanest, but ya get what ya pay for. Char Siu is really good...remember to ask for extra sauce! ????
I came here in search of some rare ingredients. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for but close. Very small food court. Prices are decent.
I don't like a lot of the special items on the weekly flyer only available in the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And some of the special item is not available even if you go there when they open their door the first day and the first hour of the beginning day of the flyer. They will tell you the item is already sold out. I think that is a lie and the item on the flyer is just to lure you into their store. And because of that, the Friday Saturday and Sunday parking is so full and hard to find a parking space. Further more the store is so small and hard to move around.
The place inside is not the cleanest. But the food there has a huge variety. If you are looking for Chinese supplies/groceries, this is the place! You can almost find anything you need here. There is also a food shop here where they sell Chinese roast meats. (Duck, Pork, Chicken, and Sausage)
Old school Asian supermarket. Veggies is quite good. Meat prices are really good but make sure you pick what you want when at meat counter or they may give you a bad piece. Expect old Chinese super market odors.... Not every cashier accept credit cards... The credit card lines are really long...
As with most Chinese supermarkets the fruit and vegetables in this store are plentiful and of good quality. Prices for comparable items in western stores are very good. The meat selection is fine for Chinese cooking styles but less so for …
Typical Chinese grocery where the aisles are tight. Produce are average. Prices are competitive.
The Bbq roast pork department here is no good…. Charge you extra for cutting the big piece of bbq pork in pieces, won’t even give you the pork dipping sauce that supposed to come with the meat!! Like how’s that even possible?? Do you want more customers coming back or no?!? Service is absolutely horrible at this bbq meat place… only take cash and give you the wrong change if you don’t pay attention!!! Should learn how to run a proper business…..
Great prices on produce, although some of the sales are obviously meant to clear out vegetables that have reached full maturity... or even passed that age barrier. Good sale prices on meat, and fish, too. The bakery has some good buys on Asian pastries... both savoury and sweet.
They have really good quicksale produce for low prices. You can get imported fruit really cheap. They have a pretty good selection of produce too. Meat section is not the best though. Quality isn't great and the staff are pretty rude. The cooked food section is decently priced too. Not the best tasting but reasonable for the prices.
Today is less crowded because of the snow storm but it's quite clean in general because of COVID restriction. Staff are generally quiet. But I'm not sure if they can speak fluent English. Things are cheap and decently maintained. Worth the trip if you're looking for cheap and reasonable quality.
Great groceries. Of the chinese supermarkets, it's always impressive to see fresh produce so affordable and actually fresh. My family and I do a lot of home cooking and been going here for years. We've also tried to make other supermarkets all around Scarborough our constant, but keep returning to this location. And Bestco. They carry the best brands for non-profit items too. 4 stars. Missing one because they don't seem to take credit card.
I give this king soopers a 4 star because I’ve been coming here so long . Have had a lady racially profile my daughter and I addressed it right away the manger said she’d do something about it and we shall see ????????. I’m surprised to see the lady back ???? very interesting. There’s a worker named Veronica who works customer service and she’s another reason why I give her the of those star’s ????????????.
Farm Fresh is relatively cheap compared to other chinese supermarkets in the area but their quality isn't all that great. I normally go for their chicken, pork and some vegetables (chinese vegetables, green onions, mostly things in the back cooler area) which are popular items so you know it's decently fresh. Items to stay away from is their beef and any fruits that are wrap in plastic on the styrofoam. Their beef quality isn't all that great and certain cuts for example "skirt steak" was rolled up nicely but they had tucked a huge piece of sinew in there. More than half of it was waste and the meat was extremely chewy and tough. Fruits on the styrofoam contains are bruised or moulding and they hide them face down so you are unable to see it.
Produce and meats are inexpensive. Bakery is small but pretty decent. Hot food counter leaves something to be desired but their BBQ counter is always backed up. Exiting and exiting the parking lot can be stressful especially on a Saturday, best to shop here on an early Sunday morning.
I was shopping there on Aug 17, I saw a staff assaulting 2 youth, that is so unacceptable, I won't grocery there anymore.
Fair price, the bbq pork and duck are so far my favorite, excellent flavour but this store needs good cleaning and organizing.
They have deals at their bakery from around 5:00 pm to closing, likewise for the hot food section but usually closer to 6:00 pm. This area forms one section of the supermarket, and it closes at 7:00 pm. Prices are more reasonable when discounted, otherwise quite high, and the quality is generally not too bad.
Reasonable price. It,s much more clean and staff is getting a bit more friendly. I guess with Covid every supermarket have tobe alot more sanitized
First time here, pretty standard in terms of selection and freshness, not too much in the terms of customer service but lots of cashiers on duty making checkout speedy. !would return if I am in the neighborhood and would also recommend to others near by.
You can find many Asian veggies, fresh fish and other Asian grocery here. Beware of the item marked priced down, there is a reason they are priced down, usually close to date of expiration.
Worst customer service from the cashier. They put some many things inside one bag without getting you extra bag. They are so care about the plastic bag. Sometime it's broke carry so many things inside one bag the weight is not supported. Bad attitude. Bloody chicken sometime it's smell inside. I guess the temperature is not cold enough for storage the chickens.
DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HUMILIATED, OR WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE !@. Bought some BBQ pork, there's 3 of us, I asked for 3 pairs of chopsticks, and I quote their response: "you only bought $3 of stuff". I still have a basket full of grocery. Whether I have more grocery or not, I am still a customer, how am I supposed to eat this between 3 people if there's only 2 pairs of chopsticks? I asked for the manager and after waiting for 15 minutes the cashier said he's not here. What I assume is the shift supervisor came and he asked me not to speak English because he did not understand. If he doesn't understand he should learn, this is Canada, the official languages are English and French, I don't care what you use between your coworkers or at home, if I am talking to you in English in Canada, you can't tell me to speak Chinese. The management, customer service, and the cleanliness of this place is not even close to standards, a 5 year old in a lemonade stand would have better customer service than these clowns. Totally ruined my day.
You will no longer feel Canadian vibes. Yes indeed it's China. Entrance smells very bad. You can shop if you have less budget but i doubt on quality of products specially fruits.
Best vegetable prices in town. Enough said. It's a great place to supplement shopping at T&T. T&T has great quality and price for all kinds of meat, and this place has great quality and price for vegetables (honestly this place has bad quality meats in my opinion).
Hot table staff rip off customers, I was in line and 5 customers, Asian, White and Black all saw portion lessened set prices increased. There have higher prices then other stores. Not to mention rude driver's parking in front of the entrance and exits. People have a hard time getting in and out of the store.
Good food, great price. Location didn't work for TNT but their prices are more expensive. …
I was order 2 Chinese steamed vegetable pork buns at this Bakery inside the Supermarket. One of the buns was so black and has soil on the side of the bun. It must have felt in the ground and she picked up put in the bag for me behind the counter without me noticed. I didn’t notice until I open the bag tried to eat. How can they sell this to me if it’s felt on the floor and put it the bag for the customers. I’m very disappointed I won’t buy again. The lady packed the buns for me was wear eye glasses around 5'2.
Most of the time seafood and meat are not fresh. I noticed one time after the store close for holiday the next day you come buy food you see the seafood package is melting not cold at all in freezer areas.
One of the more reasonable prices asian grocery. You can find Japanese ingredients even a Filipino section as well. Live seafood are good too. There's a small cooked food and bakery area as you enter the store.
it is disgusting!!! you owed wage to the worker and assualt folks from the community!!! community is watching!
we bought one box of apples, over ten bad. sad, won't consider buy fruits from here. Low quality!
Avoid at all cost. Unethical grocery does not pay their workers owed wages
CHECK ALL EXPIRY DATES! Not fresh. Questionable sanitation and health standards. Unpleasant staff who go beyond the ordinary apathetic to purposely and unnecessarily, unhelpful behaviour. Only redeeming point is the availability of imported snacks, which as mentioned, please check the expiry dates.
Good service! I bought a supper full cart of food today. The cashers ( 2 young ladies) helped me put them in bags so carefully that put the same or similar items in the same bag and gave the tender vegetable leaves special protect.
The products they sell are really good but its most of their staff that are disgusting, they don't have no manners at all, don't know how to deal w/ customers????????
They have everything...including roast pork and roast duck.....and also live lobster and seafood as well...good price on chinese groceries
Would rate zero star if i could. Their Reduced/Clearance items have spoiled with mold(health hazard) on them, especially bakery items. Please inspect your food very carefully BEFORE you purchase them!
i like the chain of the supermarket. price is reasonable
Other reviewers have shared their horrible experiences and they are not wrong. Horrible supermarket - take your business elsewhere. Owner is notorious for exploiting workers. He owes workers hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you have any morals you would shut down this business.
Very bright and clean store. Veggies are fresh and prices are cheap. Even the take out cooked foods are good and prices are cheap too. Friendly and helpful service. Plenty of parking.
