You have the reviews of real people like you who buy the products of Coppa's Fresh Market (Fruit Store) in Scarborough (Canada).
At the moment the business gets a rating of 4.2 out of 5 and this rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is really good, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we may think that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Fruit Store is included in the category of Grocery store.
Best place for cold cuts and deli. Great selection of EU salamis and smoked meat. The dry red wine cured salami is to die for.
The store is very clean and they have very fresh and good quality products.
Coppas Bennett Road used to be the place to shop for the best produce around. But it has really gone downhill. The first thing that greeted me today were some leftover annual plants priced at $8.00, Same plants going for $1.50-$2.00 anywhere else. Who would pay this? In produce loquats (a small apricot type fruit) was displayed in an advanced state that no one would eat at any price and they were quite expensive. Working my way to back of store: Last week there was a bad smell of sewage in the produce and further along I picked up yogurt that had expired two weeks previous. The cashiers are so outstanding and deserve praise, but what happened to this once excellent store and who is running the ship?
They don`t pay their suppliers!!! Many businesses are going and have gone bankrupt because of the way Coppa`s does `business` Thieves.
There was some veggies that were not fresh. What was on special low supply. My biggest complaint is if you use a walker not accessible when checking out.
I really wished there was another supermarket here instead of Copas. They don't have many things that you want, and the things that they have, are usually overpriced! I really don't understand the reason why it's expensive here, it's not fancier than a Food basic store!
Great place for fresh fruits, veggies, with a meat counter and lots of delicacies. Everything you need in a neighbourhood supermarket. Efficient and friendly checkout.
Came for smoked fish, didn't find any. The employee said they don't stock since switching from Highland Farms. Disappointing a bit. Otherwise a respectable choice of European foods.
Italian grocery store with a great selection of produce, traditional, take-a-number meat and cheese counters. Bright, fresh and clean. Very friendly and helpful service.
Lovely little grocery store that carries many items not ordinarily found in the bigger well-known grocery stores. The prices were good as well. The staff were friendly and very kind. The store was well organised and very clean. It was a real pleasure to shop there. ????
It's a nice neat grocery within the wooded community.
The store seemed to be much better during this visit. New, interesting products and tomatoes from Canada! (Other stores only have ones from USA or Mexico.) We've had many issues with Coppa's in the past, hence the 3 star rating.
Staff are so friendly. The fast pace of life slows down. Great shopping experience.
Love the butcher section and their selections of fruit and vegetables. I don't know what's going on but lately the produce has been going bad even before you buy it. The pre packed salads are dated to expire on the actual day your shopping and the produce has clearly gone bad. It would be nice if they went back to their usual standard. Would be a shame to not shop here anymore.
We need to support our local independent grocery stores.
The best place to shop for fresh produce and meat. Very clean environment. Most of the produce are locally grown. So that the prices are above average. The butcher's department is the best in this area. Poultry prices are below average even when not on sale. Eye popping varieties of cheese products, ham and processed meats to choose. Staff in this department are amazing people very polite, experienced and knowledgeable. You visit once y'll have a lasting positive impression about Coppa's,
My least favorite kind of store. Fake fancy. Most things are well over-priced. Most items would be cheaper at Whole Foods with better quality. Selection wasn't great. Store was clean enough but you'd be better off either going cheaper to places like Freshco and NoFrills or high-end like Loblaws or Whole Foods.
Very good grocery store
Fruits have always been fresh here. Veggies can be hit or miss. Great selection of cheeses and breads. While the prices aren't all that competitive (you have to wait for sales) they have a great selection of organic, natural and international/imported food items.
No international foods available here.
Variety of meats, vegetables and groceries. Excellent customer's services
The staff are definitely hard working! I have shopped there for years and the customer service has been excellent until recently! One register open at 6:30 pm not just during the week but also on a Saturday? Imagine waiting in line with over 15 other customers , I decided to go elsewhere! If I need to shop there, i will see how many girls are staffed before I fill my cart! Very disappointing!
Fresh Vegetables and fruits but a little on the costlier side. Organic Glass Milk bottles can be returned and you get 2 dollars back for each bottle. Loved this approach.
This market still provides the same high quality in goods as its predecessor Highland farms. Meat & produce are all top quality. Located in a nice and quiet part of Scarborough. ????
Coppa's is our regular go-to, since it's walking distance but if I had to drive I'd be inclined to go anyway. Great produce and meat with good prices. Staff are knowledgeable and many of them have been there for quite a while (from when it was Highland Farms).
Great store visited by same regular people looking for quality food. Great butcher shop, and deli, long time staffers watching kids grow up...
Good fresh produce and Meats canned goods a little expensive
This place is amazing. Whoever organizes their shelves deserves a big ol' raise. Stunning, reminds you of those pristine local grocery stores you see in movies. They also have speciality products that I didnt expect to find such as Walden farms product. 11/10.
For the premium prices I expected better fruit. They've gone a little down in quality since a year or more back. I recall the fruit being the best in the area. Now it looks good, but taste is lacking. This may be a reflection of the crops this season. Friendly staff most times.
Good selection, healthy, slightly pricy but worth it. Milk is always stocked fresh
The produce is absolutely terrible always. Most food is spoiled to some degree. Raspberries costing 8 dollars for a tiny pack are mostly mouldy. Shelves are almost half bare, and prices are skyrocketed. Aside from this, almost all the …
Best place to shop I have been coming here for 5 years and has great food
Just a suggestion... I recently moved to port union and Lawrence and my friend told me there was a coppas near my house and I was very excited to shop there. However I've been there a few times now and I find SOME of the produce is either bad or not in stock and the meat section could be better; allow more selection especially chicken. If I don't want behind the counter poultry threre is usually one or two packs in the fridge to choose from ... Behind the counter selection of all kinds of meats is good however.
Fresh produce and a good selection of daily pantry items. Over priced but not by much when compared to Longos, Loblaws etc..Will visit again for produce
It's ok quality is good. Good selection of fruits and vegetables but very outdated and seems Aged. Staff are friendly so that always helps the experience
Their hours on Google said they were open at 7am.. and I show up a little after 7am, and what do I find out? They open at 8am instead of 7am. It's way too early in the morning for me to be driving around... so I'm waiting in the parking lot!.... 7:51am I could've slept in a bit longer. UGH.
I've visited once and had a fine experience, with a very friendly cashier. The quality of products and selection is great.
Clean, organized, friendly staff, couldnt find a product i was looking for, staff gave suggestions on a product to use as an ulternative. Deli counter staff great, but service case needs a little updating, very old school case, fake green grass needs to go,needs first slice in morning taken off of product to make product look fresh, i was purchasing hot genoa but looked brown asked staff to cut a few slices off, she apologized but it was at opening, so i understood, groceries are a little over priced, but very fresh produce, meat bakery items and walking distance for a good cardio.
Very good selection of fruits and vegetables. Also, they have many staff members to help you at the fresh meats and cheeses counter. There is also a lot of European/Italian specialty selections, especially for Christmas.
Service is good. Proper butcher counter. Selection is slightly less than a big store. Quality is a bit better for options with produce. Fairly clean location.
some really nice staff, the manager doesn't seem to know what he's doing, but they never have anything we need, seems they constantly run out or they stop ordering and its extremely pricey, ive also bought a lot of dairy product from here and a lot the time its moldy or sour, also for the longest time there was a horrific smell that would make me sick to my stomach, and gag and hold my breath.
Love shopping here. Fruits and meat are so fresh. They have to get better butchers though.
Great store with w huge range of NonGMO, organic whole food products that cater well to vegetarians and vegans. It will take me a while to get used to the layout of the store because they don't quite use traditional layouts as other grocery stores.
Coppa's has continued Highland Farms' reputation in the neighborhood. Fresh fruit and veg. Excellent meat and deli. Some products from Europe not usually available at other groceries. And standard Canadian staples. The only thing that it's missing is a greater selection of bagged salads.
Love Coppas. We call it the fridge. Lots of local produce and fruits that are fresh and reasonably priced. A good meat counter that is usually busy and a wider selection than most in the deli counter. The grocery store has all the staples you would expect with the added benefit of lots of interesting labels you don’t normally see. It has a bit of a European flair. The staff is mostly friendly and helpful.
I love shopping at Coppas. You can find fresh fruits and veggies. We always buy our meat from here. I definitely recommend it.
Charming medium sized grocery store with shockingly good selection and an amazing meat selection.
Great little store. High quality meat department. Handy place to grab a few items quickly as it's often not as busy as some other stores. The loss of one ⭐ is due to over-pricing and a rather limited selection generally. I cannot buy all my groceries here. But I do love the convenience and the staff is friendly. Covid measures are being taken seriously as well.
They have a great bakery and meat section. Pricing could be lower though.
The store is a little tired, but they still carry a few hard-to-find items, both in their produce section and elsewhere. Good butcher and deli counters.
Good produce. They carry a lot of European foods at good prices. The cold meats and cheeses are really good, and the staff know how to properly cut the meat to the correct thickness, (because they are European and have knowledge about the product). You can’t get that kind of service from the big grocery chains which employ kids who know nothing about the products they sell, let alone cook! They also sell products that other stores don’t bother to carry. I always buy Hungarian peppers in season (late August to early October). No other store other than Highland Farms bothers to carry these peppers. They also sell buckets of pitted sour cherries every summer which I use to make my own jam. I never see this product in other stores. If you you have European background then you have to shop at this store.
Kevin in the meat department is a example of an employee with great personal skills, and customer service. Definitely a big asset to your store!
The Ladies at the Deli Counter and the Cashier right beside the counter ... Are ... " So Nice " ... and ... " Polite " ... AND ... They are the Reason that ... " Coppa's gets Our Return Business ... Marko Sez Alright !!!
Was not busy when went . A good meat section and deli. Old school supermarket
Since the change in ownership this store has been on a downside. Brand names in the deli department are disappearing and instead unknown brands take over. Lots of other European imports cannot be found anymore either. Prices are far higher than at other stores like METRO, etc. The above opinion is shared by a number of acquaintances. April 20, 2020 As a vulnerable senior my neighbour kindly does the shopping for me. Last Saturday she picked up a bottle of Organic Prune Juice (Lakewood 946ml), as regular prune juice was not available. Hard to believe but this store has the audacity to charge $12.99 for this item. Absolute gouging when the same item is available at the METRO for $9.99. Will not shop at this store ever AGAIN!!!
Rude staff especially behind meat counter. Staff in the store can’t be bothered to help. Wouldn’t do a full shop there because inevitably, they won’t have everything I …
Great. Trendy staff store looks really good. Improvements????very nice. Produce and meat always top quality.5 stars
Grew up with you since it was higland farms....still best grocery store ever
Nice clean grocery store. Excellent quality produce and meats. Coppa has a deli section which serves deli cuts, different types of cheeses and olives. They also sell whole roasted chickens. This is my go to when I'm not in the mood to prepare a meal. Grab a roasted chicken, salad and garlic stuffed olives to go. I've tried roasted chickens at Metro, Freshco and Walmart. This is by far the better seasoned one. You taste it right away with the first bite. Give it a try if you're in the area.
Good shopping experience. Large variety. Their produce is better than some chain supermarkets. A little pricey but worth it. ????
Good produce and decent selection of some harder to find European goods. I just wish they would fix the smell around the deli/meat area. I understand its not supposed to smell amazing but it can be very overwhelming.
Excellent customer service from Jerrod. I called the store in scarboro and spoke with this gentleman regarding a product that I couldn't find anywhere. Jerrod ordered this product and it arrived in just a couple days. He called to inform me that the item was at the store for pickup. (You need more Jerrods for customer care.) I thought He was the general manager of this location. He should be... Very good manners, pleasant to talk to and very professional. Great job Jerrod . I don't have a coppa's in my area, but will definitely make an effort to shop at this location. Again, thank you Jerrod for your excellent customer service. Keep up the good work.
Great hours and even opened 5 minutes early when they saw me outside. Staff also greeted me as I shopped . Fresh selection of meat at the counter.
All the workers here are great and super nice. They know us and our family and are always friendly. Issue I have is often we have bought items that were past expiry date. Yes I should be checking but when you are in a rush and grab an item you need just to find out it has spoiled when you get home it can be frustrating. Produce is amazing and fresh though.
This used to be a great store to have in our neighbourhood, but has seriously gone downhill. Grocery stores did fabulously well during the pandemic and this location of Coppas was busier than I had ever seen it and yet they can't seem to …
Very little deals and over priced, especially meat. Go to Longos or Loblaws Superstore, better selection and prices.
Very clean store with friendly staff. Never busy and the produce is always a very good quality. Great place to shop
Great friendly staff and large selection of fresh groceries!
Nice little grocery store. Wonderful personalized customer service and I can't wait to bbq the steaks we bought. My only concern was the lack of grocery carts and baskets. Also did not see the few carts being sanitized. That being said, don't live in this neighbourhood but i would go back if Im in the area.
Everything fresh, a little but pricey, but worth it because of freshness....
Not the same as before. Products aren't the same quality. Employees look unhappy. Given the nature of the business, more expensive given the quality of products than typical grocery stores in the same class.
Excellent meat and produce, good prices. Never have to wait in line.
Not sure why the ground beef I bought the previous day spoiled overnight... Hard enough to home school, work and parent at the same time but now I'll have to scramble to get dinner sorted for my kids and lose $10 bucks on top of it. Carefully inspect the fruits as well as it see.s someone is very skilled at hiding the bad parts and find out the hard way when you get home.
This location used to be quite nice, however, recently, there has been a reduction in the availability of products one is usually able to find. I have found myself going to one of the other grocery stores within a 5 minute drive and have been able to find the products with no problem. There's a cashier that is super friendly and nice and puts a smiley face on the top of every receipt. She is the best thing going for the store. If it weren't for the little bit of joy she brings, the shopping experience here would be dismal for me.
Just went shopping here on Sunday. Groceries were fine except the wraps we purchased - picture below. Fair to say I will never come back and shop here and you shouldn’t either.
This grocery store is kinda of worn out looking, but there haven't been any lines to get in when I've gone and they've had what I needed in stock. Staff are friendly.
Very clean produce department was overall good with the exception of the berries which weren't being maintained. Strawberries 4 1lb containers 2 of which were mouldy. Wild blueberries were 50 percent at best. Generally nothing to reflect pride of ownship. Rest of department was good. Meat department stocked and helpful staff. Cashier eye contact and interested in the customer Cashier 107 unfortunately I missed the name tag 7 out of 10 on today's visit Parking lot clear of debris. Thanks we will be back
Went in got a few items. It was a nice shopping experience. Bright and clean. Produce is always fresh. Bakery section has the best breads!! Staff is very friendly vand helpful
Store is convenient and produce is good. Cashier was a little impersonal and kept liking her thumb to open bags....gross...what would make her think her spit on my bagged groceries is hygienic?
Went for the first time today. Bought some stuff including a reduced piece of cheesecake.Somehow, the reduced sticker was lost while checking out. The cashier called a guy to ask if it's on reduced price, the guy said no "because none of the same item was on reduced price". I didn't argue but i have to go to customer service to get the refund because the cashier scanned it already. An easy check on the date can tell them the cake is on reduced price. Well, they didn't bother. The lady on customer service though handled the situation like a pro. Will never come back.
I love this store. Great selection of fresh organic produce, deli counter, butcher with fresh meat. Super clean and great staff. Also carries beer and ciders
Since they took over the old Highland Farms, the prices jumped like crazy for cold cuts for example. The sweets, greens and fruits are suddenly ridiculously expensive and some diary on the expiration edge. Probably no one is buying any longer. I prefer to drive several intersections down to another store. No more shopping for me here.
We love the fresh produce here. The store is neat and clean, very important. We appreciate the service at the Deli Counter.
Very cute market Clean and Fresh with a lot of selections on gourmet food
It used to have a great deli counter with a variety of cold cuts, however within the last three or four months, there is very little to select from.It is hardly worth going there.
I find the staff as well as their customers are rude and stuckup. If you aren't a regular and if you don't look rich they treat you lowly. I know people who are well off in the area shop there and it shows. The staff only greet their regulars as i've shopped here two or three times but you won't expect a smile and a greeting if they never seen you before. Other than that they have a good selection of meats and cheeses at their deli but sell nothing you wouldn't find for half the price at some of the other big name supermarkets.I usually only go here if I need an item or two but avoid the place like a plague.
The staff is great. Not busy. Easy to social distance. Great selection on produce.
Pretty good selection of fruits and vegetables, is a little more pricey compared to food basics/no frills. But they do have some products that can't be found at other grocery markets
Cleanliness, selection, friendly helpful staff and price, this is what keeps us coming back!!! The staff in produce, meat and deli are the absolute best!!! The ladies at checkout make the shopping experience a delight, such nice ladies!!! Thank you Coppa's!!
It's convenient and fast if you are in a rush. The produce is very good and prices are comparable. I really like the deli counter and the butcher shop
