This place is fantastic and makes zero waste shopping SO easy. Just weight your containers yourself and away you go. Huge selection (including things like shampoo, lotion, and household cleaners), great prices, and always willing to add new items if you can't find what you need. So great to support a small business with local sources and a dedication to what the world needs more of.

When we visited them on opening day, I was a little disappointed in their selection, but we went there again, and the store is completely changed. They now have a better layout and a much-improved selection. The owners are still very pleasant to deal with, and are open to stocking suggestions. They encourage you to bring your own containers, but the process of how this worked confused me, so I asked for clarification. When you bring your containers in, you weigh them at the door and write the weight of the container on a label that you affix to the container. They then will deduct that weight from the final product weight. This seems susceptible to abuse, but I hope people won't. It is a really great idea, and we hope that it works for them. All the products available for purchase are well-sourced, lacking additives like artificial colours and flavours wherever possible. They also sell freshly made beverages that are made from natural products (like mangoes and sugar cane) at the time of purchase. I found the sugar cane beverage to be quite refreshing, as they add some lime to offset the sweetness of the cane. If you like something sweeter, the mangoe milkshake a good choice. They have also offered coconut milk previously, but it seems that the drink offerings are subject to the availability of the raw materials.

It was a really good experience for us. The quaity of products like cereals, flours, gluten free products were really good. Amazed to different kind of rice varieties and oats. I could get even a 50g for whole sale rate. I like the concept avoiding plastic bags by using paper bags and recycling our old containers. A worth to try!

What an amazing store that we have here in Saskatoon. My wife and I just moved back from London England and we were so inspired about how we saw people work towards living waste-free lives. We have made some big life style changes and were so excited to hear a new store opened up in Saskatoon called Bulk Basket. We were blown away by the customer service and the variety of spices, baking supplies, cleaning agents, pantry items, etc. Had a great conversation with the owner and we cannot wait to keep coming back. Its an amazing feeling coming in with our own containers and going home with just what we need. Prices are very reasonable and cannot believe the amount of organic options avaliable as well as local items. Would highly recommend supporting this amazing business in Saskatoon!

Lots of choice even dish soap and shampoo. You are encouraged to bring your own reusable containers. They accept used toothbrushes and empty toothpaste tubes for recycling. They are a bit more expensive but I love their concept.

Fantastic little store with plenty of bulk grocery options, and a lot of ways to reduce waste. You can bring your own containers to fill with bulk goods. They have a lot of goods that are gluten-free, vegan, as well as earth-friendly cleaning products.

Great selection and location. The store is very clean. I go here primarily for unscented bath products, but usually pick up some other items as well. The Riversdale Community Fridge is also right across the street in front of Paved Arts, so you can purchase (sealed items only, not the bulk items) food and drop it off immediately to help our neighbours out.

I am so happy to see Bulk Basket in the north side of the city. There is an impressive selection of bulk items which continues to grow as they receive input from their customers on what they are looking for. Everything I asked for on my first visit is now here, with the exception of epsom salts which are still coming ???? The shop is well set up to have folks who are trying to eliminate/reduce their waste to bring in their own containers to be filled. It is super accessible for me and there is tons of parking. And, the staff who works there treats you with total kindness. The best bulk shop in the city if you ask me!

My family loves shopping at Bulk Basket. Much of our dry good shopping is shifting to shopping at this store. I am so thankful that they are in our city and doing this business - they are trailblazers and I hope that other stores will follow their lead in no-waste business. They have pasta, flour, tea, coffee, spices, dry legumes, soaps, chocolate...so many things! Everything is great quality and fresh. I highly recommend the dried mango. Wow. Once you pay and are sitting in the parking lot sampling the said dried mango, you will understand what I mean. It moves you up a dried mango bracket. My recommendation when you shop at Bulk Basket is to bring a few more (extra) containers than you think you might fill because something new might catch your eye! If you forget containers, they have some at the store as well as paper bags if you need. The owners are super kind and tremendously helpful. This store is an experience and a delight to shop at.

Was in the store to buy citric acid to make bath bombs over $140.00 for a bag asked them to dump it out got two scoops for $60.00 MAYBE a pound worth looked on amazon 5 pounds for 33.00 I asked if his pricing was wrong was told no but last time I bought here got 2 full bags for just over $60.00 and that was only a few months back nice enough people but for that price I won't be back Thank you for the refund you gave me today was not the full refund you said I would get and also could have gone without your raising your voice at me over giving me the refund you said I would get because of your mistake at one point he was not even going to refund me because of this review hate that he treated me horrible ???? while I was in his store ????

Far greater selection than I expected. Hard to find items that I'd previously only been able to find in much bigger quantities online. Everything from LastObject products to Road Coffee - YUM. Shampoo & Conditioner bars; tooth tabs; refillable dish, hand & laundry soaps; herbs & spices, pantry staples; essential oils - I could go on but you should go see Nag for yourself. I will absolutely become a regular customer!

Bulk Basket is such a wonderful place that is really helping Saskatoon to become a more sustainable city to live in. If you haven’t been, you should check it out, and don’t forget to bring your own jars! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, and they are always willing to stock the products that you want; all you have to do is ask! They have made some great improvements to the store lately by improving the decor, adding music, and stocking more home cleaning and personal care products.
