Sooooooo good! Their menu is limited to the day's catch, which may disappoint some, but they fry it up great no matter the type of fish. We ordered quite a bit of food and it was amazing fresh and as leftovers. Good prices for fresh fish and large portions for the cost. If you're visiting Sarnia you got to eat here.

I grew up in Sarnia but never made it to Purdy's until this past weekend when i was home visiting my parents. I'm so glad they took me too! It was fantastic and clearly very popular! The food was amazing and the portions are HUGE for the dinners!! I want to go back every time I am in Sarnia!

Why would you ever buy fish at a grocery store when the fish is from China Thailand or Vietnam when u have a local business to support and fish from our own country. Always great product!

Good outdoor spot for fish & chips right on the river's edge. View is great! The fried pickerel is delicious, the service is usually pretty quick, and the staff are friendly. Downsides are that they only take cash and they don't serve beer; I'd give four stars if either of these items were resolved. Purdy's might be difficult to find if you're not a native Sarnian; but, it's just beyond the casino, so head in that direction and you'll find it at the end of the road where it curves to the right.

Came to store at 415. They colse at 430. Everything was put away except for a lousy pile of pickeral. They have pirch in the back. Lazy employees that are very eager to leave early. Superstores are taking over for good reason

Fantastic pickerel dinner at Purdy's dockside fish fry! Sit under the awnings or out in the sun. Proper distancing and sanitizing is evident. A definite must if visiting Sarnia/Point Edward!

Wonderful place for a fish and chips dinner. The menu is limited but is fresh locally caught fish. The seating is plain but keeping in the style of a riverside fishery experience. A store on the premises sells fresh catch of the day fare and allows you to take the experience home.

We really love eating here. We are from Indiana and stop at Purdy's every time we visit Canada. The fish is fresh caught and lightly battered. And eating it next to the gorgeous blue water of the St. Clair River with the ships that travel the Great lakes providing the entertainment is a not to be missed opportunity. The staff here is friendly and the fish market on site gives you an opportunity to take home fish and seafood items to prepare.

Come here for enjoying fresh fish and sitting right by the river, not the fries or the service. You walk up to get your order (which is fine), however even pre-COVID, someone to wipe tables between customers needs to be a must. Having said that, the fish is the freshest in Sarnia, or you can by fish at the market to take fish home and prepare it there to your liking. Having one staff member attending to the tables is my only feedback. In sum, you want an evening by the river, pick two: Purdy's for fish, under the bridges for fries, Ice Cream Galore for dessert.

Purdy's is a fine old established fish company in Point Edward, Ontario. Their product is fresh caught and quickly sold. A few years ago they started having a fish fry on Friday and Saturday nights. It is held outside and is well received by all who come. As far as a know, the fish fry outdoor restaraunt is open only on Friday and Saturday and not in winter.

They have been good to me, & always treated me fairly, & I don't believe it's just because I'm related. I believe they do thier best, to be honest, & treat everyone fair!

Purdy’s is a staple for Sarnians & a must eat for visitors. A lot of ppl will bring their relatives from out of town (Chatham, Windsor & East Ontario) to try their amazing perch or pickerel ????. We get a lot of repeat Americans or ones who are driving by. The smoked trout & salmon are our favs. We took our friend to buy salmon & the girl was helpful & her weighing skills were amazing. Thank you to ur staff & fam for always being so kind to our visitors. Sarnia represent!
