This place is so great for so many reasons! It is so beautiful, clean and simple inside. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had an amazing experience in the store recently looking for face mostiruizer. I couldn't have asked for better staff helping me load up my reusable containers !! Variety of products avaible including bulk food, household products, cosmetics and more. Highly recommend this store!

The friendliest, most helpful staff. If you want to use reusable containers and shop in an eco-friendly way, but maybe feel shy to learn/start -- know that the staff make it fun, easy and VERY accessible. We are so blessed to have Great Lakes Refill as a local business. If you forget a container - they have some to take, and some to use (with a return deposit). If you need help with the process - you couldn't find kinder, more humble people than their staff. We've purchased everything there including: food items (baking supplies, dry cookie mixes & soup mixes in mason jars, fresh bread), hygiene items (reusable Q-tip!, compostable floss, shampoo, deodorant, liquid soap), home cleaning products, cards to plant local trees, cosmetic products, Christmas presents, ... the list goes on. Hands down my favourite place to shop and support.

What a fantastic locale right here in Sarnia, ON! Aesthetically speaking, the environment is calming, easy on the eyes, labeled clearly, branded really nicely and the layout is conducive to a leisurely stroll around the entire space. Had the pleasure of meeting Melissa, one of the owners...she was so pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. Such a welcoming shop with such a clear message of saving this planet one reusable container at a time. So many household, useable products to choose from. Great Lakes Refill is my favourite store EVER! Not only are their staff incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and effective, but the products they offer are of the best quality. I purchase nearly all of my personal hygiene products from great lakes refill, as well as all my cleaning products. If I had to recommend some favourites (I have far too many), i would say: Snack - Bliss Dough or Any of Their Gummies Drink - Ground Up Roastery Coffee or Any Kombucha on Tap Hair Care - Solid Shampoo and Conditioner Bars (my favourite is the hydrator duo) Luxury Item - Come Clean Moisturizing Serum Staple - Toilet Brush + Toilet Cleaner in Bulk or Shave Bar Even if you're not sure what you might be looking for, just pop in and look around. I'm always surprised at what new products they are offering. :) Thanks Lisa and Melissa for providing the Sarnia-Lambton community with such an incredible resource. You both (and your staff) work so hard and have rode every wave of this pandemic with such grace.

I love, Love, LOVE being able to reduce my use of plastics by refilling my own containers at GLRC! If I forget my containers, there are plenty of others available to use for no charge. The products (food, household supplies and other green products), on offer is extensive and growing all the time. The weekly newsletter is great, usually with a great recipe attached, and they have online workshops to help us all understand the ways in which we can help reduce our impact on the environment. I’m thrilled that we have these wonderful folks and their store in Sarnia!

I love this company so much! I just moved to the area in 2020 and am so blessed that this location is still offering and hasn’t stopped, to my knowledge, their BYOC program! Super spacious but incredibly intricate store layout with always something new to discover! This place is great. They care so much about the planet and being green and clean. The store is immaculate. Bring your own containers (or use one of their free reusable containers), get them weighed, start filling them up. It's that simple. They sell everything from tempeh and spices to nuts and cleaning supplies here. The selection is huge. If you're in the market for a new reusable bottle, snack bag or straw, come here and they'll hook you up. The service here is top-notch as well. Quality of product is great, prices are pretty good, some items are a bit steep in price but its a small business so keep that in mind. We'll be back for sure as this is our go to bulk place. 5/5.

I am so thankful to these 2 sisters for bringing us the opportunity to reduce plastic bags and jars in Sarnia. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with food, cleaning supplies, shampoos, tooth paste - pretty much anything you need! Their refill system has the best procedures for safe and easy bulk food purchase.

In trying to rid my life of plastic, GLR has become my go-to for many everyday products and foods. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and even turned me onto a "recycle everything" source. The store is always clean, organized and so wonderful to shop both online and in person. I highly recommend, but allow yourself some time in store to find interesting and useful ways to simplify your life and reduce your footprint.
