Ok, reposting my review. Thank you, Google. The reason I am giving 5 stars has nothing to do with the maple syrup pans I ordered or how quickly they arrived. All of that was great in terms of quality, price as well. Ultimately it comes down to my extended chat with Jamie. Clearly this 65 yr old company has owners with great values and a keen, not contrived understanding of customer experience. I already committed to Jamie he will receive a jar of my Bancroft "Gold" syrup as soon as I can put his pans to good use. In closing, this was the best customer experience I have had for some time. Thank you, Jamie.

I didn't go inside because a sign says I must wear a mask. I can buy a mask there for $1. I shouldn't be forced to wear a mask. I spent many hours wearing a painter's mask for many years. I understand why a mask is unhealthy and to be worn minimally. Even a painter's mask that I deem unhealthy is way healthier than the standard covid mask where you breathe back your own bacteria and CO2.

Berry Hill is one of my favourite stores anywhere. They have beautiful gift items, lovely, unique clothing, candles, art, the prettiest garden accessories, kitchen ware and then farming supplies! It reminds me of an old general mercantile and I absolutely adore it. :) Staff is friendly, considerate, and helpful. If you're looking for something unique, Berry Hill is the place to go! :)

Very unique gift shop if you are looking for something different and more personal to give as a gift. It can get pricy depending on what you are looking for. It has a variety of outdoor accessories and bird feeders, etc. Very reliable staff about feeders and food as well!

I live in the States and found only two sources of incubator parts I needed. Berry-Hill had the largest supply shown on their website, so I ordered there online. The order was confirmed, but the next business day I got a phone call from Berry-Hill to let me know that many of the parts were out of stock, and the incubator company had gone out of business, so they would not be getting any more. We talked through my order and revised it, Berry-Hill issued a credit that included the currency adjustment, the parts were shipped right away, and I received them in a timely manner and found them packaged well. If Berry-Hill was able to get more parts, you can be sure I’ld Order again from them - great service!

I called them up and was able to set up a time that worked for them and myself to look at a product I was interested in. They were willing to work with me and got me what I was looking for. Called and placed my order for a Sweeter Heater late Friday afternoon, knew that it would be processed on Monday, which it was. Wednesday morning my heater was on my door step, and I am on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Dont order over the phone from this company. They misplaced my order of an automatic poultry watering kit. Had to call back weeks later looking for the shipment. Two more weeks, I called again and was told they were now waiting for a fount bracket to arrive so they could ship the whole assembly at once. Product arrived with a broken fitting and the shipping box had been torn open, then taped closed on one corner making it look like the box had been previously scavenged for the only part that could have fit through that hole, the broken fitting. E-mailed Berry Hill to complain about the broken fitting. No response ever received. I purchased a replacement fitting at a plumbing store and completed my project about 11 weeks after first placing the order. Called Berry Hill again and left a voice mail asking for a response. Never heard from them.

Lovely gift shop with lots of variety. However, lots of product on top of product making it very busy to see all they have to offer. I took my mother there once (who needs to use a walker) and unfortunately she wasn’t able to get through most of the isles. Not a very safe-friendly place for handicapped people.

Take a moment and read the reviews. I am not the only one who has had ordering, shipping, and refund issues! I placed an order for cheese making supplies. It took about 3 weeks to get my order. The items were over priced. I had placed an order from their competitors after I got tired of being told the item will ship as soon as we get it. I got the order from their competition in less than one week. I asked to cancel the order with berry hill, and they said it was shipping right away. It still took another week. Very poor customer service. If you did not have the items I ordered, you could have let me know when I placed the order. I suggest shopping around for better prices. Update, May 2021 My mistake for placing another order with this business. I have now been waiting over a year for incubator parts.Order paid for in April 2020. I have called many times and been given multiple excuses. The most recent was it was forgotten on someones desk. I would suggest sourcing your items elsewhere. I do not recommend Berry Hill Update as of June 14, 2021. I had to call again as my product was not shipped. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Jamie was ok to deal with other that he hung up in my face the first time I called because I swore on the phone from my extreme frustration because my product was not shipped one year and 2 months ago. Jamie told me they have the product and he would prefer to return my money. I just want this transaction complete so I agreed. Jamie did admit they were possibly having some staffing issues and computer issues that could have caused this to happen. He also told me that because of my review from a few years ago, they marked my account “do not sell to” yet they took my 612.84$ without question when I placed my order in 2020. They claim to have refunded the amount to my credit card. I will wait to see the invoice. Jamie also informed me that there were no notes on my account about the previous 4 phone calls and promise to ship. I asked him to note the account now and he said “what do you want me to put?” I asked that our conversation be noted and my complaints be written down. Once again, I do not recommend Berry Hill. Very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. Hoping I see my refund from my purchase made in April, 2020 soon! And now I have to source the needed part for my incubator from a more reputable business. Please shop elsewhere!

Before you choose to shop at Berry Hill! Please be advised if you write a poor review of this company they have a policy of noting your account “do not sell”. Which means they are not interested in addressing your valid concerns or resolving any customer concerns. They just do not sell to you anymore. They have terrible customer service and shipping is always delayed. If you call in to complain you are met with rude staff who will not address or even make a note of your concerns. Please do not support this business. I do not recommend Berry Hill Ltd

Absolutely worth stopping in to see their jaw dropping home decor and gifts. They’re one of those little treasure spots where you can find such unique products that are life changing whether it be shammies that finally let you kick the chemicals and get an actual streak free shine on everything, or the specials scouring cloths imported. Decor is quite expensive though stunning. Lots of signs, unique expansive cast iron multi purpose hooks - from unicorn heads to wagging tails etc. Owner imports items from India which contributes to some of the uniqueness of the story HOWEVER, especially now more than ever and in the steadfast tradition of the St Thomas community, incorporating the hundreds of local artists businesses would be the best suggestion I could make. Seeing signs and decor that are very overpriced for them being only made of MDF, our local makers create true wood signs that blow the imported MDF’s out of the water. The owner has been encouraged to integrate local crafters many times but still no presence which is unfortunate. I believe that businesses who dedicate even one small area of local businesses would create massive word of mouth, and most definitely a massive boost in sales as local groups on Facebook gravitate towards these businesses for sure!
