Good selection and lower prices than other grocery stores in the neighborhood. Produce is great as well. Although they have a smaller square footage, they seem to replace/restock constantly. I use to avoid this place due to the long lines at the cashiers, but they added 4 or 5 self checkout tills and now you can fly I and out of there.

Cody's No Frills does a great job of providing a clean, bright, well stocked environment. The whole chain of No Frills stores has been undergoing a renovation and if you haven't been in one recently, give it a try. No longer are they messy, dirty and dingy. The stores have been redone inside and out. The staff are available, helpful and friendly. I can find everything I need there. I notice some of their pricing on identical products at Superstore are different prices but I do appreciate being able to stop in when convenient to get the products I want. And for those of you who have been stealing all the Mio (water flavouring) - stop it. You're driving up the costs of groceries for the rest of us.

I like the compact shopping carts, all new, and all close to the doors. The front area is very roomy and the aisles are surprisingly wide. Prices are pretty good on the items I checked and there's a good mix of name brand and private label products.

It's quite busy there around 5:15pm I went with my son who is almost 2. Couldn't get a looney for a cart so I basically ran around the store bumping into people chasing after him. Didn't even get to buy anything because he's crazy and wouldn't stand still long enough to wait in line.

This is a bargain store. Expectations can only be so high. That said, the last time I was there, there were only two cashiers working with very large line-ups, and the cashier who assisted me barely gave me the time of day. Perhaps this was a one-time instance and a bad day for them. If my visit is better next time I go, I'll update this review.

I will NOT be returning to this store. So many different items they were out of stock. The stock boy could only say repeatedly..." Sorry guess they didn't come in on the truck" Their meat selection is horrible. The cashiers are slower than the second coming. The line ups are so long. Thankfully my husband was with me, because I use a cane and was unable to wait the 25 minutes in line. I regularly shop at No frills in St. Vital and will continue the 20 minute drive out of my way.

Cody, the manager/owner, runs a pretty decent store and carries an essential selection of the grocery items that you'd find at Superstore but at a cheaper price. Used to shop here a lot and had no problem with lack of "frills" as it's close to home and had great prices. However, lately they are out of more items on my list than they have in stock. Tonight was absymal. Empty shelves elsewhere: no produce left, deli fridge was empty, hardly any frozen vegetables or meat left. I've never seen anything like it. Horrible experience, went to the one on Marion. When I went to pay for a cart FULL of groceries I was told they don't except visa (first time ever having this happen or even hearing about it), I would have paid with debt but I had to cancel my card that same day. The lady at the cash register had NO remorse, she just pointed to a tiny baby sign taped to the machine and shrugged her shoulders not to mention that the store was was totally dirty and shelves empty. I was at Trevor's No Frills earlier today. Nice lady greeting customers with hand sanitizer and cart sanitizer. She did mention that they no longer allow bags of any sort in their store anymore as their plastic bags are free. That's OK...a sign of the times. I had difficulty finding a product and the staff was very helpful. Other than that...I'm upset that I didn't get hot chocolate. ???? That 's what I went there for in the first place! ???? I will never return to this store again. Yesterday during my shopping I witnessed this store try and throw a man and his service dog out because of the service dog. They were beyond rude to him and clearly do not know the laws regarding service animals. When the young man approached the guy with the service dog he said the manager had told him they had to leave, yet when asked to speak to the manager regarding the incident they all of a sudden could not find one. I felt horrible for the guy simply trying to do his grocery shopping. The Human Rights code simply states service dogs are permitted anywhere and that a person should not be penalized or isolated, for using a service animal in the same way that they would not be penalized for using a wheelchair. Very wrong to treat a paying customer this way based on his special needs.

Store was crowded, appeared to be above provincially mandated capacity, with no one tracking customer counts. Employees were actively blocking the already too narrow aisles while stocking product, forcing customers to ignore directional signage to get past them. Prior to the pandemic, the store was a good source of promotional food pricing. The only decent pricing I saw during my visit was reduced price stickers on meat product of questionable condition (greenish tinge on the bone of some of the steaks). I won't be bothering to visit again in the near future due to lack of value, and disregard for safe distancing during an ongoing pandemic.

Prices are good than most, food quality is ok, but costumer service is probabbly 2 stars. I haven't had a bad experience with it, but employees there never ask you if you need help or anything, they bust ignore you even if you look extremely confused and you spend 10 minutes beside them looking for something, they will not offee help. The on line flyer each week has totally different items as opposed to what's available in the store and on sale. In store weekly flyer is different from on line flyer.I went few times to the store looking for on line winnipeg location no frills flyer and I am told that on line flyer ( posted as winnipeg location ) is actually for Ontario . So imagine many people waste time trying to find items at prices advertised on line. There are 0 in store. Also if in store flyer advertisers an item, a female cashier over at this location will limit quantity even though there is no limit advertised in the flyer or price tags in the isles. So quite frustrating. Also main sale items disappear on day 1 . So no luck for those who shop on day 2 or 3.

I witnessed a cashier demean and embarass 2 people/customers and tell them that the limit on their tourtieres is 2 per family when the limit was 2 per person, hopefully she has been relieved of her duties, as this woman had no right to judge anyone's social standing, nor to limit these 2 people to 2 tourtieres when they could each get 4. Very disgusted!! BTW...their flyer had no limits, so as far as this limit is concerned, it was BS to begin with. Something very wrong with management at this place for sure.

When I told the cashier she looked confused and told me I could phone in to customer service (as this location doesn't even have a customer service counter) And I said, no. Since Trevor has taken over this location, I’m happy to return. The old owner Cody was so rude and disrespectful- no customer loyalty. I remember going to the grand opening for Trevor and explained my prior experience leaving a bad taste in my mouth and he assured me I would not experience that again. He has yet to disappoint. The store has given back to the community in so many ways, and the staff are always most pleasant, trying to go the extra mile. They also show appreciation and gratitude for both staff and customers. Management are amazing and overall love this location again! If you want to support a local business who is ran by solid people, giving back, then this is your place. 5/5!

The store has poor customer service, the worst I've seen at any retailer. They sell bad meat and refuse to refund when you bring it to their attention. Because they have a "NO REFUND POLICY ON FRESH MEAT PRODUCTS". This information is not advertised anywhere in store or on receipt. Nothing written anywhere and they still refused to refund me. The weekend before Christmas I purchased pork tenderloins from this location, expiry date was Dec 29/19. I placed it in my fridge with the expectation of cooking the following day but ended up going to a family dinner, so I put in freezer right away. I pulled it out on the 30th to thaw in fridge, when I got home from work I started to make dinner. When I cut open the vacuum sealed package you could smell instantly that the meat had spoiled. I could not figure out how, as it was frozen for just over a week. So I decided to take it back because this wasn't from my mishandling. That's when I learned that this location doesn't refund meats because "they cannot trust that I handled the meat the way I said I had". That's absurd and rude that the manager on duty would say something like that to a paying customer in their store. I was floor by the lack of care giving by this manager and that they treat their customers so poorly. I will drive the extra 10 mins to go to another store where they will treat their customers with respect and not accuse them. Don't get me wrong, I understand some people try cheat the system and what not. But if I was the cause of the meat going bad I wouldn't of even tried taking it back but this was not my fault. I think that No Frills needs to rethink their policy's or look at better marketing they policy's.

Cody's No Frill's was my go to when I lived in St-Boniface. The prices are very good and they often have great deals on pantry staples. The produce can be hit or miss, but they usually have the basics and are very well priced. For a quick shop between big Superstore or Costco hauls this was my favourite place to go. Got to go again while staying at a friend's in St-B and again was happy with my visit. Staff is friendly and I love that they offer recycled boxes to take your groceries home in which was always handy when I forgot my reusable bags in the car.

Bit small store with not many choices but still a supermarket. It has a small parking lot too. The good thing about this supermarket is that it is very accessible. It is good for a quick restocking of your groceries. To the outside visitor it must be reminded that the whole area surrounding this supermarket is a 50 km per hour area including Goulet and Marion. These streets used to have a 60 km speed limit until recently in 2020. Someone asked about green cabbage. Yes, they have.

The whole point of self checkout is to check your self out without assistance. Why on earth would you make customers "ask for help" just to get bags? Makes the entire ordeal pointless and time wasting, especially when the cashier responsible for assisting, is busy with their own customers.

Weekly and in store specials are the best..!! Hard to Beat !!...the staff and manager are supper...the selection is good for eryday items but limited for the less common or exotic or ethnic selection.. Great place to shop and save on their bargain items...Parking is somewhat limmited and they are very busy especially on weekends so be prepared to wait in line at the checkouts...Overall great place to Save money...

Wonderful place to shop. All the staff are so friendly and offer assistance when needed. Great sales and lots of variety. I do all of my shopping here. I'm lucky to live 1 block away. Keep up the great work cody's no frills!!!
