The first time I went there, the till clerk didnt discount my 50% item, so I returned the following day. Then I bought two identical items among other things and I got home on to have one box completely empty. Now I have to go back a 3rd time. Not impressed.

Out of all the superstores and other Loblaws stores, my family all agrees that this one has the best deli! They make the best samosas and they aren't shy on toppings on their pizzas. I'll go out of my way to go to this location if I'm picking up something quick for supper. Great meat too for decent prices. The meat counter always has great fresh stuff.

This place I heard of ever since I landed in Regina. Finally visited yesterday and found to be pretty useful and quite big one. This one can be absolutely a go to place when it is winter or you are not in a mood to pay a visit to Walmart or superstore. This shop has almost everything for your grocery and vegetable needs along with variety of raw and marinated meat options. A real handy place with great stock and helpful attendants.. I strongly recommend. Only downside - prices are a bit on higher side but you can ignore it considering the fact that you will have to pay an excess amount in taxi if you want to reach walmart or superstore while living here in Downtown.

It's independent! What do you expect, hum bakery cooks everyday. And you can find food here. For those who don't know what's Mike independent, well back in time Mike didn't like to live with his\her parents, you never know, and he/she decided to open a grocery store and he named it Mike's Independent! They did it well and today thousands of thousands people buy groceries and house needs from this one or any other branches. Oh regarding prices, I would say it depends, you can find good deals and terrible deals, check the flyers forSure and in overall it's abit expensive rather than Walmart or Realcanadiansupers. But don't get obsessed with price go there and find the hidden gems there, I usually go and buy whatever is off because I'm student and I should say there's a lot of food on sale! Close to the expired due and Yes Students do eat bad out-of-date foods. Adios.

I was very impressed with my pc express online pickup today. I was able to get a timeslot within 2 days of ordering. My order was ready early and I received a very friendly phone call letting me know. When I got there, the wait time was very short. I got all the items I requested except for garlic, which I think is sold out in a lot of places right now. The staff were friendly and prompt. Normally this has been my "stopping on the way home from work" grocery store but I think while this pandemic continues, this will be my main grocery store. I was so impressed.

Is there really any grocery store better in Regina? The answer is No. Mikes independent is incredible. It’s not uncommon to pass by the owner(Mike) and have him greet you. The selection is amazing. Always amazing deals. Great pharmacy…This place can’t be beat. Produce is great. The deli is always so busy and such great respect and service from every single amazing staff member that works there. This really is the top shelf standard to how a grocery store should be. All the cashiers are super fast and polite.

Some prices can be a little higher than they should be. I wouldn't recommend coming here to do all your grocery shopping unless you have no other options. They do, however, have some delicious loaves of bread that seem to be exclusive to this store. Their crusty French bread is much better than your average slice of stale, flavourless brand name bread. They have some other cool stuff like cinnarolls. This store has self-checkout available. As you can expect, it isn't used by many people, so it could be a nice way to skip the lines if you know what you're doing.

The instacart delivery I'm not so sure. I signed up for membership which provides for free delivery, but chose the 15% tip and in the end I paid for higher online prices and a $40.00 tip on top. As a customer, I don't think i should be paying the wages of the delivery guy. Your dry cottage cheese is going moldy 5 days before the best before.

Amazing produce, and (I think) the "independent" loblaws stores are the only brand left that still use the 50% off pink stickers. Quite often there is good produce and bakery stuff on the discount shelves. Some of the products are more expensive than superstore.

waited behind one person for 10 minutes because I wanted to buy a scratch ticket along with 5 small grocery items. the guy in front of me was buying tons of lottery tickets which is cool I'll wait because I wanted a scratch ticket. finally he was done and it was my turn but they were unable to sell me scratch tickets because they were balancing them. It's obvious that I was here to buy scratch tickets I do so all the time and they know that. Mike you know who I am it would have been nice if one of your staff informed me before I waited so long for no reason. all you said was its he lottery not your store. well that just sucks because I think of you guys as neighbors and and friendly. you were none of these things today. hope it's better next time.

Recently went to grab a few items here. I put my bag down to get my water bottle and was immediately accused if theft and told to leave the store by a staff member. I offered for her to look in my bag but she refused, I again asked her what she "assumed" she saw and she said it was a coincidence. I was not very impressed with her attitude or behaviour, not to mention how embarrassing it was as well. She offered no apology or ownership of her error. I did pay for the items I had already gathered and then left quite upset. I won't be going back to this independent ever again.

We love this place and we shop here at least four to five times per week. But I have to say that will be coming to an end if they can't get a handle on the people standing outside their doors asking for money. Today there was a group of six guys standing around walking up to every person and asking them for money. A couple people I saw were clearly worried and uncomfortable. It doesn't help the location is next door to a liquor store. Anyways we love the place but will stop coming unless they stop people from hassling us every damn visit. We know we have seen a security guard inside the store but it's hit and miss. Most days he's not there. Get your act together. It's a business and people loitering outside following people to their cars and/or walking up to the car windows to ask for money is dumb business sense.

0 stars if possible...When i went to pick up my prepaid ordered i waited in like for over 10 minutes because the person infront of me in line was waiting for a refund, she had paid for 12 items and upon pick up foubd that only 6 of what she ordered was available.. When someone finally helped me they gave me a different item then one of the ones i had paid for.. I bought a case of flavoured alkaline spring water, which they were instead trying to replace with a case of canberry soda water.. at customer service they insisted that i just "take what i got and that it was the correct item" i said no that this is not right, its a different brand, different price and different product and asked for the manager.. The manager and store owner then came out to speak to me, off the bat he was rude and impatient and said AND I QUOTE, "CUSTOMERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY MIGHT NOT ALWAYS GET WHATS ADVERTISED ON THE PICTURE"... I then tried to show him my receipt and the items i had ordered, i said isnt that false advertising? Isnt the customer always right? This isnt what i paid for.. To which he replied "ill agree just so i dont have to argue with you, he then put a cash refund on the counter and walked away. I was appauled to have such horrible service by the staff but seeing how the manager treats his staff and the customers i now understand that this is acceptable workplace behaviour in this establishment.. Beware.

This has been my go-to grocery store since Mike took it over. There's something really great when the owner himself is on-site, talking with customers, stocking shelves, taking care of his staff. They do an amazing job with their meat section and fresh fruits and vegetables. Tons of organics all the time as well. If there were 6 stars here Mike would deserve every one!

I really enjoy shopping at Mike's Independent. The produce is great, there's a wide selection. Low priced prosciutto too if you buy it from the deli department! The bbq chickens are tasty and a good price, as are the store-made pizzas. Lisa the cashier is always friendly and nice when I shop here, it's really pleasant to have a small good conversation during checkout. I've been coming here for about eight years now, it's my grocery store of choice in Regina.

Changing my review. Not a pleasant shopping experience at all. I can't shop here now due to their mask policy. I have a blood disorder with oxygen issues. Handed the receipt cashier used gloves to hand it to me. She should change gloves between customers. Instead of putting it in the bag. I felt this really abolished any effort to protect me or provide a safe shopping experience. Also due to the forced hand sanitizer at the front of the store. My doctor said both are bad for women with hormonal issues. And no trash to put your mask in at end of shopping experience.

Not disability friendly. The mobility cart was hidden from view of the entrance. It seemed disorganized. Whoever is thier marketing manager needs to go back to school. All the windows were covered and paratransit hidden from view from the only bench for seating. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop there again.

I love the bakery section and the cashiers/door greeter are super friendly. They have great steak as well. It's also next to an SLGA. You will want to be mindful that over the past few months I've bought items that turned out to be expired way before the expiration date. Deli meat and arugula. Twice the meat (pictured) has been expired or tasted bad immediately upon opening at home. A box of arugula that shouldn't have expired for at least a week was already slimy beneath the surface layer upon opening. This could just be the pandemic though. Sometimes this store drives me crazy, sometimes parking is a nightmare, and it can also get quite expensive, but overall I like visiting and would say it's worth checking out if you live in the area.

Once again this pharmacy strikes at being the most incompetent pharmacy ever the only time the pharmacy can actually do there job is when the manager is there but once the manager leaves the staff behind the pharmacy become brain dead and have the worst customer service skills. When they admit to screwing up and entering in something wrong then say I have to deal with it thank you very much for putting my kids health at risk cause your staff is incompetent. The staff needs better training or the manager who is the only capable one needs to train the staff better. Every time I come here there is something wrong weather it be they don't have meds, or they short me, or enter something wrong in the insurance there is always something I'm sick of it and hope a manager would respond and contact me because I would love to talk to him.

I last night choose to stop at Mike's Independence. As I entered the store the employee asked me to put on a mask he was handing me. I asked the employee if masks were made mandatory by the city and he said no. I told the employee due to it effects my breathing I can't and went on my way to shop. When I got to the juice lane the manager came up to me due to his employee told him I refused to were a mask. The employee failed to tell the manager what I told him because the manager asked me why I won't were a mask. I asked the manager the same question has the city made it mandatory. He said no but he has in his store because of social reviews on Wal-Mart on there mask policy. I told the manager due to I have issues with my throat and he heard how raspy my voice was I can't were a mask due it causes me breathing problems. What the manager said to me was shocking! The manager asked for my doctor's note on my condition. After the shock wore offk and anger set in I told the manager he has no right to ask for this. The manager told me then to go to my doctor whom is very busy in these trying times and get a note that I would need to come back in store. The manager then told me the cashiers whom are behind plastic walls could refuse me and I would have to move till one accepts me due to no mask. This manager is a bully. He wants me and his employee's to follow his beliefs base on his own fears and social media. He wants me to get a doctor's note and show it to be able to enter his store. Is this what we have become. People are out of fear buying toilet paper and the fights that came with this buying frenzy. Now a manager telling me to bring a doctor's note to shop at his store. Truly sad. I have no problem with anybody wearing a mask that is there choice and right. I choose to let my body's immune systems which God designed to fight the infection we all get in our daily lives. It is my choice in a country that gives us this freedom. Since I wouldn't allow the manager to bully me with his fears I choice to leave and never come back until he is no longer the manager. I went to a till and the cashier checked me out without a mask on. As i went into the parking lot to my vehicle I noticed a lot of masks on the ground so that says a lot on the managers views and fears. Truly sad.

I have been shopping there for a few years now and have not had any problems until the c virus business started. The staff has become combative and rude. I made it three feet into the store the other day, when the greeter asked me to put on a mask or leave, no courtesy or tact what so ever. I asked if she had one as they were handing them out last week, she said no and became visibly angry. I was asked to leave again so I did, I was going to call it a right off when I remembered I had the mask from my last visit in my car. I thought luck was on my side, but when I walked back into the store to grab a cart, which the greeter stands beside she said, "now was that so hard" in a derisive tone. I could not believe it. I had kept my cool through out this encounter and done my best to be polite. I was about to lose my temper so I told her that her attitude was horrible and left. If your going to have a greeter at the entrance to your store they need to be polite and courteous, as well as have the patience to answer questions. Especially in these trying times. I will not be going back to that store.

A few times I have shopped here for phylo pastries, The product was so dry and not usable. When I checked the expiry date, It still had a month. I went backt to the store and stock up in the fridges were all with the same expiry dates for the phylo pastries. I returned was able to get my money back. The staff is great. I do find the quality of some of the products is not the best and therefore will not be shopping here again.

I decided to go to this store today and was very disappointed by how it is set up. I am unsure if the shopping carts are actually sanitized as no store clerk was cleaning them at the entrance as is being done at every other grocery store I have been to. There is no handwashing station or even sanitizer available for customers as they enter the store. The “security guard” just stands there and does nothing about the amount of people entering the store. It was very crowded so no social distancing was possible. Very few people were following the arrows on the floor. There is a pandemic currently and there are laws to abide by when it comes to shopping centres and it does not appear that this store cares. I did not feel safe. Then when it came to the checkout, I waited in line from all the way by the pharmacy, as I approached the checkouts a store clerk told me to go to till number 1. I proceeded to till one and waited a few minutes for the cashier to finish with the person who was paying at the moment. Once that transaction was completed the cashier turns to me and says “you need to go to the back of the line mam!” I asked her why and she gave me a dirty look then the other clerk who had told me to go to till no.1 told her she’s the one who told me to go to till no.1. The cashier sad nothing just gave another annoyed look and proceeded to ring my items through. She didn’t offer an apology for her mistake or rude behaviour. Honestly I will never go to this store again.

Not overly thrilled with it. Just a rebranded store with the same layout and not a good selection of baked goods that I was looking for a breakfast meal. Prices seemed a bit higher than most and was looking for something else that I needed and sold out. Needless to say unless in a pinch and nearby I won't be back. I'll stick with a store I'm familiar with
