Went there to buy a Roast Beef au jus for supper for my family. I then went home and found out that there was no au jus sauce in the container just a very faint skim on the bottom with a horrible smell. I then called in to see if they could have another made for us and they told me "no" and that there was nothing they could do about it. I then asked to speak to a manager and got put on hold for a half hour before deciding to hang up. I feel like that was unprofessional, and unacceptable to do to a customer.

Ordered hot food for the first time and girl says don't forget a compliments water or pop when you get to the till for your value meal. I get to till and don't see any compliments water or pop so I say to the teller that the other employee told me I get a water or pop with this. She says I don't know what your talking about. So I had a choice Go back to first employee or just pay and leave. I was in a hurry so I paid and left. Frustrating. I feel I got ripped off for my drink but I'm really not sure if I did. Staff should be trained better and or be able to better explain their deals

I was able to find the stuff i wanted to buy easily. The fruit looked very fresh. There were some excellent sales on ham sausage and blueberries. Staff was helpful. Hand cleaner was availabe in store and lobby. Parking was great.

There's a couple of things I do not like about this store and it has nothing to do with service cleanliness but I don't like the fact that their Deli closes before the store does and the self-checkouts are blocked by a skid of product that is blocking the center where you should be able to walk through with your shopping carts and they close the main entrance early in the evening.

These places are always very clean open late and their prices are very comparable they're meat seems to be of very good quality unlike co-op. Always tons of parking and very few times have I had to wait more than 10 minutes even on a weekend to pay for my food. It also smells very good in the stores

What a joke. Pre ordered a birthday cake 1month in advance and I was in the 3 times the week before my son's 1st birthday to make sure everything was good and the writing on the cake was correct.. Well the day of his party I go to pick up the cake.. And it wasn't effing ready.. they didn't even start on the cake! ???????? they told me they only needed 24hours notice for a cake.. I gave them 1 month and they still didn't have it ready for they day. I will NEVER order a cake from the bakery again..

The older native women who works there is very ignorant! And very unfriendly, the younger native girl, and everyone else who works there are great! Very friendly, and happy! And to those who don't understand y sobeys blocks the main entrance at a certain time, it's because red deer has lots of degenerates, who like to turn a nice place like red deer Into a ghetto, I. Sure u notice them, the ones begging for change, going through dumpsters, breaking into your house, or car, and camping out in the bushes behind your house with their possie of other degenerates, who ride bikes year long!!

Overall not bad, Sobeys is notoriously expensive on things. But other than that they do have good fresh baked goods and their fresh produce is always nice. This is the type of store I go into when I know exactly what I'm after. A bit too expensive just to casually get groceries at.

A standard grocery store. Offers a large selection and all items were in stock. Quick tellers and friendly staff as well. The produce and meat section weren't huge by any means, but you should be able to find what you need. Prices (in my opinion) were fair.

Most grocery stores have absurdly gigantic sandwiches in their deli sections. They put them with other, smaller sandwiches who pray to them as their gods. Sobeys Dagwoods are my favorite.

This store used to be a great location but they can no longer make any Mexican Carne Asada style cuts of beef and they refuse to stock Serrano Peppers because they dont sell enough of them. I was told they can't make the Carne Asada cuts because they no longer have the meat slicer to do so. I prefer to do all of my grocery shopping at one location and for that reason I no longer shop at Sobeys .The Great Canadian Superstore and Save On Foods are consistently much better than Sobey's.

It's a good store, central location and pleasant staff. You can always find some good sales. The deli has good variety. A sushi bar with items made on site - fresh and tasty. 2 - 3 varieties of hot soup, daily meat specials, fruit, vegetable and cheese and sausage platters, plus a fresh selection of salads.

Went looking for the 10 dollar bags of compliments nuggets and they dont carry any of the compliments 10 dollar bags and when I asked where they were the meat dept was extremely rude and unpleasant just telling me with an attitude "they dont carry them." Sales stickers left up from the week before and very unorganized. I will go all the way across town to the other Sobeys just to avoid reliving this experience.

My permanent grocery store. You wont find a better managed store. The owner volunteered use of his coolers to ANYBODY, regardless of where they shopped, in need after a bad wind storm knocked out power to parts of the city. Great people work there and it shows when you shop there.

The 4 litre milk jugs are 5.39 compared to 4.59 at Save on Foods and Walmart ,the cashier said they would give to me only if I would show him a flyer and I said it was a normal price at those stores and he said they wouldn't honor it that price only if the stores said it was on sale the same went for the coffee creamer they price the identical at 1 .39 compared to 1.89

I am a frontline healthcare worker. My family is sick. We are all isolating and have been working closely with our doctors and Alberta Health Services to follow the guidelines and keep everyone else safe. We need groceries to feed our family. I called Sobey's Village Mall. They advertise delivery. I had made a careful grocery list. They told me they would take it over the phone and bring the groceries to our house. When I called to place the order this morning I offered to give my credit card number over the phone. I explained we are sick. They told me no, I had to give my credit card to the driver or use the portable debit machine. I explained we are really sick. Zero contact. We cannot open our door to anyone. I was told the manager and owner of the franchise no longer will allow credit cards over the phone because he has been burned with fraudulent cards. I said I am a frontline health care worker. I live less than 10 minutes from the store. I am a good person. I need groceries. The lovely lady on the phone went and spoke to the owner. He wouldn't even come to the phone to talk to me. He flat out refused my credit card. He doesn't care. He has made no attempt to resolve this issue he is having with fraudulent cards. This lack of problem solving during a global pandemic, even when many of us are isolating to protect people like him and his store and his staff, possibly for months to come, is unbelievable. This lovely lady on the phone conferred with the driver. They were brainstorming how they could possibly get groceries to me but no matter what, it would involve me still having to pass a credit or debit card to the driver. I am an RN. I took an oath. It will be with me until the day I die. I will not put another human at risk, because no matter how many times I wipe that card with Lysol and leave it in my mailbox, I cannot be sure it is safe. I care too much to put at risk this kind and generous spirited delivery driver who tried his best to help me. I called another grocery store in town. They were very happy to help me and my groceries are being handpicked for me and left on my doorstep. They took a secure payment from me. Attention: Rob Gustafson, franchise owner of Sobey's Village Mall. You should be ashamed. We are in the middle of a global pandemic. I am a frontline healthcare worker in our fine city. My family is sick, really sick, and locked down in full government sanctioned isolation. We aren't even allowed to go to the corner to get our mail or step out of our yard. We don't feel much like eating but we still need groceries and you, Rob Gustafson, grocery store owner, could not find a way to help feed us. Shame on you. Sobeys. Ready To Serve? I think not........

Received poor customer service when looking for a few items. I informed the checkout clerk that I was unable to find the items. He tried to find a staff member on the floor to help me and he was unable to find anyone for 5 minutes so I literally just stood in place waiting. He had to get the manager to help me which ultimately was not that helpful because they did not have the items that I was looking for. Food selection is limited. They don't carry some basic ingredients like some particular cooking oils and vinegars. I went over to Save On Foods and they helped me find what I was looking for and they actually had the items that I was looking for.
