Usually enjoy shopping here, but my recent purchase at the Deli was terrible. I bought 300grams sliced of roast beef on December 1st, and by today December 3rd the sliced beef had turned green and had a sheen like fish on top. The meat was kept sealed and refrigerated until I had to throw over HALF AWAY! The best before date is December 5th btw. This cost me $16 just to throw away, not impressed Co-op! Needless to say I will not be shopping at the Deli department again.

I made a suggestion know to a produce manager at this location, they have two products that are paired together at opposite ends of the store. On a previous shopping trip, not one of the many people I asked who worked at the location even knew where the products were. I spent a bunch of time looking for them. I thought I would bring this up to the manager as all the other grocery stores that I shop at don't have things setup this way, and I thought it was a minor oversight. The managers response was confrontational, "we are a billion dollar company I think we know what we are doing" An odd response to say the least, especially considering my comment was mentioned as constructive criticism. A side note, I work for a mutli billion dollar company as well, but I wouldn't think of trying to invalidate someone's concern over how much profit the company I work for has earned.

Store is massive, has everything from a sushi/deli bar with it's own check out to everything else in between. This store just opened in March and they have employed many people at all of the center's (grocery, gas bar, and liquor store) only rated four stars because there is a learning curve for most of the employees simply because of lack of time on job. Once that hurdle is over it will be alot better. Over all the prices are what you expect from co-op and their deals are usually pretty good. Plus it's in a prime spot right beside the clear view market, but be warned there is still lots of construction surrounding it.

This is hands down my favourite grocery store in Red Deer and shopping here is always a treat. It's bright, spacious, and clean. They carry a lot of specialty products, and having an in-house butcher is always a plus. Produce is always nice and fresh, too!

This rating would have been higher if not for the horrible attitude I got from the lady in deli "helping" me I enjoy this store a lot and I understand everyone had bad days however when prices are clearly stated and in a passive tone "reminds" me of the price of the piece of chicken I asked for, also sighing at the fact that we asked for gravy and screamed over top of us at a customer that she was almost done. You are more than welcome to acknowledge other customers but to scream in my face is a little insensitive... Please be better to people just trying to get some food...

???? Co-op Timberlands, an EXCELLENT Food Store containing an OUTSTANDING Pharmacy ???? It's always a better day when one is able to make the choice of shopping @ a store that VERY obviously fosters an environment of community & proactive customer service. The most recent relevant point I'm compelled to make about Co-op is that they provide a safe shopping experience for people like me who are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons. Though I'd observed ~99% of customers wearing a mask during my recent visits, I was glad to learn that the Manager had ensured that his staff were informed in regards to both Red Deer's Face Coverings Bylaw & Alberta's Mask requirements including their exceptions & that I could have a safe & discrimination-free shopping experience @ Co-op Timberlands. This has been my go-to store since shortly after they'd opened. They have a great selection & the one time that I couldn't find a product that other Co-op locations carried, after an online request, the Manager(Troy) was able to bring it in... OUTSTANDING customer service!!! The Deli department is great! On the odd, special occasion I enjoy their sushi. It is likely the BEST grocery store sushi in Red Deer. The salmon/avocado roll is my favourite. Occasionally, we'll have another treat like their chicken tenders. Michael really stands out in this department as he dispenses that chicken. He's very friendly & personable, providing great customer service every time! Most of our shopping though is split between the Produce & Meat departments. The Produce department has some of the best, fresh Brussels sprouts I've seen this year right NOW & their leeks, for a leek lover like me, are usually tied for 1st place in all of Red Deer. They're normally firm yet tender & perfectly blanched. They often have things that are hard to find like celeriac, & the rosemary that I picked up today is going to make some great winter dishes that pack a punch. When it comes to the Meat department... you can always count on Linda for advice on things like your picks for what roast to buy based on the way you plan to cook it, etc. The beef is great & they often have great deals on frozen ribs & and a lot of other cuts. If you're a bacon lover, you must try the Co-op Gold Hardwood Smoked Bacon, it goes on sale often. If you're looking for anything in the rest of the aisles & didn't notice it, it's as if Emily is plugged into 'The Matrix' of inventory... anytime I don't know where something might be and I see Emily, I go to her because I know that she can direct me to the exact aisle/shelf/spot of it's location. If Emily isn't around & you pass by Vic, he's always happy to help. It's as if Vic's 6th sense is to know when someone is looking for something & to help them find it. There are a lot of great people here but Emily & Vic are like the T-1000's(Terminator 2 reference) of helping customers locate specific products in the aisles. There is no way to convey how OUTSTANDING the Pharmacy is... in simple terms, Jennifer manages THE BEST Pharmacy in Red Deer! This is undeniably the MOST friendly, MOST helpful Pharmacy that I've ever visited & that's coming from someone with an abundance of medical issues who relies a lot on the helpful advice of his Pharmacists. They play a major role in my health & the health of my family. We've recommended/referred most of our Family & Friends to this Pharmacy & they've all been VERY SATISFIED! This is a compounding-Pharmacy(not sterile-compounding, NO Pharmacy in Red Deer is a sterile-compounding Pharmacy) that ALWAYS has a better price than the competition. Some prescriptions that our Doctor has ordered compounded have been half of the price here at Co-op compared to anywhere else in town. Everyone in this Pharmacy is great! But Jennifer, Susan, Kelly & Breanne are OUTSTANDING! These people have played a major role in our positive health outcomes in the past year! There aren't enough ⭐'s available in this review section to show how OUTSTANDING & AMAZING that this Pharmacy is!! Co-op Timberlands is THE Essential Service of the Year!

Disclosure: I do work for the Co-op, but this is my honest review. I like shopping at Timberlands and the staff often ask if I need help without knowing that I work there. Everyone is polite and friendly. My favorite part of the store are the the Deli and Sushi bar. They have a great selection of interesting products from prepackaged dinners (Chinese, Indian, chicken/turkey dinners, and a good variety of Sushi). I often end up buying quick lunches or snacks here and they actually taste good.

This is probably my favorite grocery store in Red Deer for the experience. 1. The store is very spacious and clean, well-laid out, and not too crowded. The windows allow extra natural lighting and make for a cheery feel. 2. Staff are quite cheerful, personable and informative; they seem to enjoy working here and that seems to make a difference in how they serve their customers. 3. The selection of grocery items is good and they carry some goods I cannot find elsewhere. Although some things are pricier than other places they often have good specials.

Have purchased more than one item that turned out moldy in the past few weeks. (Corn tortillas, and bread). Yesterday when I was here there were several produce items with mold on them including almost all of the strawberries. Plus there is often low inventory.

Nice store, but don't be mislead by the bakery. Just because it says packaged today does not mean it was baked today. It may have been baked a few days previously and then frozen, thawed later and sold as fresh. Remember Cobs bakery is just across the parking lot!

Overall a great place to shop. Great staff... price is like every other grocery store. I must say that the produce manager and the meat manager both go out of their way to make you feel special. Only downside is that it doesn't really distinguish itself from other stores. I do shop here as it's convenient, the pharmacy is fast and accurate and the place is spotless.

The store is nicely laidnout and very clean. The produce is pretty good but their prices on a lot of things are unnecessarily high. E.g. Dempseters bagels they were charging $4.99. Wal-Mart $2.97. Plus their 1 handicap parking is over close to the liquor store. There is not 1 handicap parking spot close to the actual grocery store. Sad since people have the handicap sign so they can park closer to the store not farther!

I ordered a cake from here and they spelt my daughters name wrong after I spelt her name twice. As well as got the picture wrong. I had my friend pick it up so she didn't know. I called to tell them I was disappointed as it was a 40$ cake and the lady at the bakery said I could return it and she could make me a cake for tomorrow. Our daughters birthday is today I'm very disappointed and won't be going there again.

Large selection of grocery items. Some alternative dairy items I have a hars time finding else where. The deli food I find flavorless though. Skip the ramen bowl.

The place does not offer local selections. Many produce are from the US. All groceries are very expensive. The good thing is that the place is clean and the staff are nice.

The speciality areas, bakery, meat and vegetables, are well laid out with good variety. I always find what I am looking for. The aisles are nice and wide, with good lighting. The contents of the aisles are well marked.

You'll pay more for your groceries here but it's probably the nicest grocery store in Red Deer and has the best one of the best butcher shop areas that you will find in a grocery store.

I've shopped at this location since it opened and usually have a great experience. The staff is for the most part very friendly and helpful, however I've had a few instances where I have been completely ignored when checking out at the cashier because the person behind the till and the person packing the groceries are having a personal conversation which continues on throughout the checkout process. This happened recently, the cashier broke away from their personal conversation long enough to ask for my coop # then went back to talking with their coworker. When I got home I realized that they had checked me out as a non-member, even though I had given them my #. I understand that the use of masks can make it difficult to understand people at times, however they were too busy chatting to confirm my answer with me. This isn't the first time I've had this experience with coworkers being distracted by personal conversations when cashing out at both locations. It certainly isn't every employee this happens with, however it happens much more often than it should.

Being the newest store it is a much more up to date building than any other Co-op in town. This comes with a bit wider aisles which makes movement much more effortless than most dept. Stores. They also have a few additional irregular items such as the air dried meat rack. The best time to stop by is 10 for 10 sales.
