Beautiful winery, with an amazing view. Unfortunately, we waited 30 minutes to have our order taken (after people who arrived after us were served first). The bistro was not particularly busy, and we waited another 30 minutes for our food. The food arrived lukewarm (soups), and the sandwiches had potential but were very hard. Imagine, we waited a total of 1 hour for food that was a 3/10. I would only recommend this place for the wine, because it is very good. Very sad to say we will not be returning because the wine is excellent and the venue is beautiful but the food and service is not.

Great location down by the river. The wine tasting was fun and informative. They have a delicious selection of fruit and grape wines. Our group’s favourite was the strawberry rhubarb seduction... which was exquisite. We ended up staying for dinner as well. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The food was delicious. On the whole we a had a great time. Would recommend.

First of all, the wines and prices are both excellent. Nice selection from white to red, dry to sweet. Staff is knowledgeable, gift shop has a nice selection and the patio by the Nechako River is just a wonderful place with a wonderful view to enjoy wine and cheese, crackers, sandwiches, whatever:)

The winery is always delightful - we love the wines here and always buy at least one bottle when we’re here. The bistro wasn’t my favourite - we found the food very bland. We were there on a very busy day, so maybe that was it, but I found, for the price, that the food wasn’t great.

This is a successful local venture, and an exciting addition to local culture in Prince George. I like how they connect with and involve a variety of activities, like theatre and yoga, with their facility. The food is excellent as well! And I'm told the wine is very good too. It's not typical grape wine; flavours include apple and strawberry-rhubarb.

I'm not the biggest "wino" there is, but I have to say I really enjoy the majority of wines produced by the Northern Lights Estate Winery. The added benefit of the new Bistro, seasonal favorites, and the wine club are great to. Also this place keeps my wife happy!!!

First time dining here, and it was a lovely experience. My family and I went out for a Father's Day lunch. The food was delicious (I recommend the chicken alfredo) and the service was great! My parents also enjoyed their wine. It was so nice to go out and eat on a patio for the first time in forever.

I definitely don't recommend hosting an event here. We held our wedding at the winery and it was just a bunch of chaos, I definitely didn't want to deal with on my wedding day. The wording in the contracts is a money grab, the facility is not made to host such an event, wasn't set up to how we had agreed, the bar ran out of rye and rum after an hour, poor communication within the staff and to us. Beautiful place with a beautiful view, but not worth the headache.

We had a meeting of people from all over the province and wanted a program for the spouses. The tour and tasting was a great success, very personal attention to each person on the tour. One of the ladies was very skeptical about a winery in Prince George but she went home with a case of wine and a pre-order for an upcoming product. When we host another group we will definitely bring them for a tour and tasting.

Atmosphere was very nice, but, food not so good. Myself and my friend had Silician pasta, not impressed. Food was also found to be cold. Brownie dessert not good. Not sure I would recommend this restaurant. We were celebrating a special occasion so was disappointed.

Recently my daughter had her wedding venue cancel last minute and when the wedding planner contacted you ,you were accommodating and made the wedding wonderful. Thank you so much. We love their Strawberry Rhubarb wine! It is my favorite wine I've ever had. Almost too good - you can drink it like juice! It's also very nice inside the winery. We went for brunch a couple of weeks ago and sat on the 2nd floor with a view of the river, so nice! Great spot and even better wine! Updated review: We went in to buy 6 bottles of the strawberry rhubarb wine about a week and a half ago. They were supposed to be closed that day but we decided to try the doors anyways which were open. My husband and I were greeted by the nicest woman! She asked us if we wanted to do a wine tasting and we got to try a taste of probably every single wine they have! Strawberry rhubarb is still our favorite but the apple is a close second after our very informative and comprehensive tasting! This place is such a gem in PG.

Very nice experience. Man who did our tasting was very nice and attentive. Wines are interesting! Bought a case to bring home. The food at the bistro was really tasty and reasonably priced. Had Carne and Foraged flatbreads and 4 of the tapas. Very happy for Prince George to have something like this. Would be a very nice place for a date.

Walked in on Monday the 27th not even to be greeted, there were about 4 people standing at the counter doing wine tasting, 6 including my husband and I who just walked in, there was no acknowledgment from the two ladies standing behind the counter. We waited patient to be served, after 10 minutes of waiting there was still no service offered, not a simple “I’ll be right with you” nothing. Really disappointed In the service but also not surprised after hearing this is quite common. Will not be back.

I had made a reservation for Friday evening for 2. We reserved for 5:15. It was a first dinner out in a month for myself and my friend, and so we had planned for a full evening at the winery. I was dropped off as I planned on having wine ... And too much to drive. When I arrived, I was advised that the winery had overbooked and that we could only have our table until 7:30. The rain was letting off, and so I enquired about the patio. I was first told it was booked up later in the evening, that they actually had to bring in more tables and chairs from their storage across the way, and then later told it could only be used in the covered area if the rain let off. By 7 it was beautiful and with covid 19... I would have preferred to sit outside. We asked several times for this option and close to our time being up, were told they could "let" us sit outside where we couldn't be seen. Not once did a manager come to speak to us. Our lovely waitress was extremely apologetic. The food was just okay. The experience was ruined from the moment I walked through the door. And as a result, both my friend and I have agreed that this will not be a place we will come back to. We weren't allowed on a patio with no rain, but were not adequately social distanced inside. I am highly disappointed. When we left, every single table on the patio remained empty, blue skies in sight. I would suggest the next time people are overbooked they are contacted (even though tables remained empty throughout our stay). And in the end, your server had to deal with it.

We came from out of town. We booked a reservation for noon the next day in the afternoon prior. They then called 30 minutes before our reservation saying that they are actually full and cannot take us despite our reservation. Honestly, I've been to dive bars which have better customer service and support. I get that social distancing is a primary concern. However, if you cannot accommodate people then call earlier or don't take the reservations.

We were ignored for most of our stay. Took 45 minutes to get drinks. An hour to get food. Our server stuck to another table of apparently wealthy patrons like glue and ignored the rest of us. I would have liked to have several drinks appies and dinner but after nearly 2 hours we were just ready to leave. I didnt tip and complained to front staff asking for a manger, no resolution was found

It is a lovely petite winery with a fantastic patio & what appears to be a great wedding location. We enjoyed our wine tasting to start our visit. We then moved to the patio to enjoy a leisurely meal with appetizers, a bottle of Lumière wine, our main courses of seafood chowder and artichoke & chorizo pasta finished with a turtle brownie dessert. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice date or girls' night out

Needed a well deserved break from home renos, so decided to have a late lunch and chose Northern Lights. The wine taster flight was meh ok, decided on the apple wine. Certainly nothing great. The appetizer, Caprese Bruschetta came served in what looked like a baby food jar with some hard round melba toast- very uninspiring. All the bruschetta I have had before was served on a toasted garlic rubbed baguette. Then we split a sandwich, the Creole Club. Probably one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had. an extremely tiny amount of chicken-like 2 tiny medallions on my half of the sandwich. Apparently it was on sourdough, who knew? This restaurant winery seriously needs to step up their game for both food and wine. Very disappointed :(

I brought my wife in for breakfast for her birthday, which I might add was a question that was asked when I made a reservation. It took over ten minutes to get a second cup of coffee for one thing, and the food was average, which if you want to have a specialty type restaurant you should provide a wide variety of food from which to pick from, as for asking during the reservation for whether or not it's a special occasion there was nothing said or done to make the experience a memorable one, other than poor service and average food. I suggest you folks should hire better staff and a very experienced chefs. Then raise your prices and then maybe you will have somewhere for us to enjoy!
