Small compared to the city outlets I am used to but a great selection and they even had zucchini, which is awesome! And we had a wonderfully light hearted and fun conversation while we were checking out as well. Would definitely recommend this store!

Avery's, in Guysborough, is truly a gem and a pleasant surprise. They have an excellent produce section, very nice salad selections, rotisserie chicken (which they call BBQ chicken),and even a reasonable selection of cheeses and yogurts. Two of my favorites are the premade deli sandwiches and the huge pizza ((cook if at home,) for under $10. Am very grateful to have such an excellent grocery store with such excellent variety and quality. For a small grocery store Avery's earns a grade of A+!

Was in and out, I think the place needs new frozen/fridge coolers a lot of items were pretty frozen burnt and some were covered in an iceberg, but it's a small town grocery store so who am I to complain.

At the hot food counter: the customer ahead of me leaning up against the counter chatting with the worker, no big deal. I step up to place my order she loudly states "wait behind the red line". So, to be clear- the employees can determine who has to follow distancing rules and who doesn't? Id like to support local but, no thanks, I'll shop in the bigger cities where, rules apply to everyone and not just those who aren't friends of the employees.
