What a great farm market to stop into! Fresh baked sweets and breads, local meat and cheeses included smoked meat, salmon and bacon and jerky too. Lots of local staples like maple syrup, jams, spices, and so much more. Definitely worth the stop is you are in it passing through Pictou County on the Trans Canada highway.

My favourite store. Period. During COVID-19 lockdown we started buying all our groceries here. It is relaxing and inviting: what grocery shopping should be. I love being able to buy local meat and vegetables, and try new things like Jam and jellies. Their market grill is phenomenal and staff are helpful and friendly. Local burger with local bacon... cooked to perfection with customizable toppings

Only place I'll go for steak now, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious! I had their fish and chips and it's the best fish Ive ever eaten, it wasn't greasy and when I reheated the second piece later in the day it didn't turn to mush. Anytime anyone asks for meat recommendations or a place to go for a good lunch I always point them to the whistleberry.

Amazing market run by some amazing people. They have the best quality and cheapest produce when in season. Always come here for spaghetti squash. Handmade soaps. Always make a point to stop in to get smoked bones for our pup she absolutely loves them. Pretty much a smaller masstown market . Check it out!

I was there for lunch today with a group of friends and none of us were disappointed. It’s a beautiful building full of interesting products many of which are made locally. It has “convenience store” stuff as well for the highway traveler (and a conveniently large yard as well). Then we had lunch and it was GOOD. I had a Kaiser sandwich. A couple had burgers and loved them, and the soup and chili were a hit as well. Definitely a new favourite. A charming store, good food, and excellent service. What more do you need?!

Everyone that works here is extremely polite and helpful. We went looking for spices and they are very well stocked. They also have lots of fresh produce, meats and a nice size frozen section. Plus, It always smells so good when you walk in! I always end up leaving with a baked good or some deli meat! Pro tip: The Cinnamon Buns are to die for!

Absolutely great indoor market with great fresh produce and grocery products. We found products here that are very hard to find even at big box retailers... So exciting! At the Market Grill, The cheeseburger with fries is a must try. Fish n Chips is really delicious too. Menu photo attached. You can opt to sit-in (following Covid 19 health guideline) or take out. There are outdoor sheltered & outdoor picnic tables too. Staff is very helpful, professional & courteous. Will definitely be back!! Thank you Team Whistleberry!
