Beautiful store. Has a bit of everything. Went specifically for keto frozen bread and was happy to find the specific one we went in for. Also picked up a cooked roasted chicken. So good on top of a loaded salad.

I bought a macaroni salad and i found a hair in it i contacted the number on the container and the ladie was great on the phone very concerned said to take it to the store and get my money back and she would also send me a gift card so i was happy with that well when my gift card arrived it was only 10 dollars which i found that a slap in the face concidering sobeys is a big company and thats who gave me the gift card very sad

I don't get out of the house much!! (lol, as I'm sure similar to a lot of people working from home!) But when I do, it's only for groceries. Go to this store. The staff are wonderful, efficient and kind, especially through this pandemic. I was greatly warmly when I entered and when I left. The lady that made a cake for my son when out of her way to make it special. I watched a staff employee over to wrap roses of an older gentlemen as he stood waiting in line. And I was greeted 3-4 times by employees throughout my visit. If you want a small town feel in the middle of Peterborough, make sure you go here.

I have to say I am truly impressed with Sobeys on Lansdowne Street. The staff are friendly professional the store is displayed outstandingly the whole experience you simply amazing. I'm a seafood lover and they have an outstanding seafood department with a gentleman there who is knowledgeable professional and very courteous. I would highly recommend this location and business to everyone. Simply Amazing.

Really nice store. Layout is a bit annoying - you can't just 'skirt the outside' as there are literal sections. Produce is nice and fresh, displays are well laid out and appealing. Prices are high, but that's to be expected for a store of this quality. The deli/fresh counter has some amazing foods ready-to-go. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful store and a wonderful selection of vegan options, plus a great flower area (which doesn't sound like a thing unless you want to add a few smiles to your evening and surprise someone in the family). Produce could do better - not a lot of selection there, but the meat and cheese section is lit. As a whole though - Pricey as hell. Still, great place to go!

Lots of options, tonnes of fresh produce, meat and fish. The biggest cheese selection I've ever seen. A dedicated organic aisle and fairly fast check out. Not your cheapest option for groceries but if you can't find what you are looking for you will likely find it here.

It's an excellent full service grocery store, however that comes at a price. Your average grocery bill will be higher than if you bought the same bundle of items from a discount grocery store like No Frills or Food Basics. They do have some great sale items, especially when combined with Airmiles promotions and that is what I specifically go to the store for.

I used to shop here a lot - several times/week - however, that has changed since the renovation. While the products are excellent, and most of the staff are friendly and helpful, the new design of the store makes it difficult/slow to get in and out for the type of shopping I do. Their move toward "health and wellness" trends - and having a giant "organic" area - which seems to have few shoppers in it - plunked right in the middle of the store - separating the areas that most people would want to visit - seems to me to be wasted retail space, and is one of the features that create what feels to me like an obstacle course to get around the store and shop. While the post-renovation store LOOKS nice, I find it impractical for my purposes - and I have switched to doing more shopping elsewhere.

Add to that both the employees behind the counter ignored me and just kept talking about their weekend plans, I would advise anyone coming here for a quick lunch to look elsewhere. The fresh produce was spectacular and there were so many different items we don't get at our local store. This small market vibe is how I would describe this store. It is not overwhelming like a superstore but has the feel as being a fresh farmers market/quality grocery store all in one! So the only reason I don't give this store 5 stars is because it's pretty expensive to do every day shopping but besides that, this is an excellent store. It's very clean, has a great layout and a massive amount of products available. If there is something you want, they have it. I had a craving for cannoli's the other day and I literally could not find them anywhere but then I got this lightbulb moment and remembered that sobeys had an awesome bakery and low and behold, I found them there and bought up the last 5 immediately. So yeah, great store if you have the money to shop there. I'll definitely keep going for specialty items

The only reason I'm not giving this more stars is because every time I buy a Deli BBQ Chicken it is always undercooked. I buy one on average once every week or two and every time I get one from this location, it is almost raw inside, forcing me to turn on my oven and cook it properly, which negates the whole point of buying pre-cooked foods. Otherwise, the store is very nice, some very nice staff, lots of products to choose from, prices are a little high but that is to be expected with a selection as large as theirs. My other pet peeve is it used to be a 24hr store but now closes at 11pm nightly - super disappointing.

This is my favourite grocery store in Peterborough. The renovations that were done a few years ago has made the store really nice inside. The choices for take-out options are great. The produce and bakery sections are excellent, however this store is extremely expensive. It's worth getting fresh bread, take-out and produce here, but not much else. The "health foods" section is really great, there are many options for vegetarians and vegans.

Very horrible experience I bought a cake from bakery on 29th September it was lemon cake for my brother birthday celebration. We cut a cake and i had a first piece and the moment i had it, I didn’t feel it right then i stopped everyone not to eat.then i asked my friend to check expire date and it was expired on 28th September, After half an hour my stomach start paining and after hour i had vomiting and then for whole day i had diarrhoea in evening i tired to eat something then again i throw up. Then i went to hospital and they told me i have food poisoning i have picture of expiry cake and my hospital visit. I still have stomach pain and diarrhoea and doctor ask me to have just liquids because my stomach couldn’t disgusted anything and it hurts. I could share pictures but my phone is not supporting properly. Also I called sobeys and they gave me very lame excuse that it come frozen and bring the cake we’ll give your money back. It’s not about money but it’s about costumer health. How can they suggest expire food to customers. How can they selling expire products.This is likely to be my last sobeys visit and am never gonna recommend.

I would like to tell people that at the Peterborough sobeys today, a man armed with a knife came into the store and the coward manager forced scared staff to calm the man down while police took their time to get to the scene. After the police took roughly half an hour to arrive a sobeys employee had to try and disarm the man. To add insult to injury the traumatized employees were then forced to clean up the blood and were scolded because they were not doing a fast, and good enough job. I would like some answers

Yesterday was a very bad experience , usually the stuff are slow, but Yesterday at the cashier we waited for a one person to finish nearly 25 min. It look like they hiring family and not qualify stuff. I have the cashier name if you interested (the line after us was very angry). This is not the first time that it happens. I will be writing to the management as well. (I understand that you trying to satisfy everyone, but one satisfied customer against 6 angry ones it's a bad customer service period).

A cool ambience and well arranged store makes this one of the best place to shop if only for the shopping experience. The cozy atmosphere is further enhanced by the availability of beer and other alcoholic drinks (they have license to sell). The toilets are well maintained and supervised. They also provide masks at the entrance to ensure that they meet all Covid protocols. Really worth a visit

I think this Sobey's has the best groceries in Peterborough. Always the best produce, always the best selection of things I have a hard time elsewhere, and I always leave with what I came for. Especially nice cheese selection, as well as lots of prepared meals that you would actually want to eat.

I've been shopping at this Sobey's location for years. I've always enjoyed the way the store is merchandised, the product lines, the organic offerings, the cleanliness and the quick and efficient check outs. Today was such a disappointment.!!!!. I was compelled to use the self check out because there was only one cashier open on a Sunday morning, which was frustrating. No bags available (thankfully I brought my own) To then asking for my gift card with purchase that then involved 3 staff members that didn't know how to process it. New owners?? New management?? ????????

Never been in a Sobeys before tonight. Throughly impressed. Reminds me of Wegmans in the States. And people will tell you that Wegmans is awesome. Same kind of selections across the board. Produce is a bit on the slim side for selection I thought. Heavy on the 'organic' thing. Could be due to the demographics of the area? A bit pricey on many things. But then, I'm use to shopping at Nofrills ????. Prepackaged diners, suchi, fresh seafood and so much more. Again. Super nice place with every imaginable item under one roof. I'm a fan but will have to be mindful of prices and compare with other grocery stores.

This is my regular grocery store. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There have been a few times that I get to the checkout and realize I have forgotten something. There is always someone willing to go and grab it for me, saving me lots of time (limited mobility at times). They have a pretty good assortment of vegan products, but I do wish they carroed more plant based PC products.

I just called the Sobeys store on Lansdowne and spoke with someone by the name of Lanis. I can't say enough about how helpful he was. Polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. He not only informed me about the product I was looking for but gave me a little background on it and what it could be used for. He then went on to tell me exactly where it could be located in the store. I cannot possibly tell you how impressed I was.

Went in to get 2-4’s of water. Could not find them, so I asked a worker. She did not know where they are. Asked a second worker. She passed me off to a third and fourth worker. I asked them where the water is, they seemed annoyed, and the one said “aisle 7”. I asked if he could either look, as I didn’t see them there, or if he could look in the back, they both declined to help.

Im a senior, on oxygen and it a struggle to do my shopping. I have to stop several times to check my oxygen stats, a staff member always appears ask me if I'm okay if I need help, which I appreciate. May 8th i get to the cashier I'm just about wore out. The cashier notices this. Takes it upon herself to come around unload my cart, rings me through, bags my stuff reloads my cart. I'm leaving I see a supervisor, I commend her for what the cashier had done. She calls the young man over he take my cart out to the car for me, loaded everything into the car. I tell him how much I appreciate it and he says, it's my pleasure. All this without asking,.their staff goes the extra mile ,I really appreciate it. Their staff helps me be more independent. That's why I shop at sobeys. A special thank you to the staff, the management team and the owners.
