Nice. Beautiful and sunny day. We liked the Bread.

Hard Rock Acres farm is the best one in peterborough farmer market. Good quality, good taste and good price.

It's a good place to go and we are going to continue to do so but it's much smaller than I remember it they'll have to take it outside in the future and bring more items and a better selection of products to satisfy the needs of everyone who has had the opportunity to buy some produce.

A Great Market

Outdoor market with many local farmers ( produce, fruit, meats) as well as vendors of food products such as baked goods, sauces, and coffee and cheese. Also indoor annex with craft vendors. Outdoor part open from May through October, while Annex open year round.

Market includes scammers selling produce. Vendors that complain getnkickge out instead of the scammers. Sad Peterborough Farmers Market. Very sad.

An amazing mix of good foods, art and events. I highly recommend you get some fresh bread and one of the many jams (I prefer strawberry) and sit down with some nice tea. I also recommend The Ukranian stand! They sell such perfected and tasty pie pierogies I make a point to visit whenever I can.

Excellent selection of organic and local fruits and veggies! The parking is decent and accessible, and there are many places to get a small meal as well! I would go every Saturday if I had the time!

People is very friendly. Good products

Well organized for safety. Hopefully some more vendors will sign up

I really dislike the fact that they allow vehicles to park on the memorial Centre parking lot. In my opinion, vehicle and pedestrian traffic don't mix well.

Lots of variety. Dog friendly.

Like the atmosphere, local is best.

I was disappointed because this market could be so much more if it was developed by municipal government. Refrigeration booths for meat and cheese booths and permanent cook tops for restaurant vendors would be beneficial. More places to sit down to eat and visit are needed. Noticed a lack of fresh fruit at stands. This experience needs more development as it could be a real market destination for tourists and locals like the St. Jacob's and Kitchener Markets.

Local farmers market. Wide variety of prepared and fresh foods from local farmers and homemade vendors. Take the trip and see for yourself. You can grab butter tarts, pierogis, pork roast, beer and wine, fresh products and much more all in one place.

Always such a great experience. McLean's strawberries are worth the trip!

The market is half the size that it once was! Very little to choose from.

Always a great place to visit and pickup that healthy alternative to eat.

Fun to go with my toddler in his strap-in tricycpe! Not too busy. Decent selection of vendors and all appeared local.

Wonderful selection of vendors/products

Just heard the vendors #reselling = take off supermarket tags to sell for more. They aren't farmers. They turn away local farmers & accept supermarket vendors for bigger payments. Market should be fined for non-farmer vendors misrepresentation. I should not have to do "local farmer" research. I don't want to buy the same apples I can get at Safeway, to pay more. #farmersmarket #localmarket #fraud #badbusiness #moneygrab

Loads of fresh veggies, must try the progies!

Good variety, pity there are not more vendors!

Disappointed with Boards focus on selling booths rather then having actual farmers in them selling fresh, seasonal and local produce. The kicker was firing farmers from the market who spoke out against vendors selling no farmed food (aka fake farmers)

Lots of nice fresh vegetables to choose from . I bought a flat of strawberries for $30. Bring cash with you.

such a great place for summer shopping

A favorite routine visit on a Saturday morning to the farmers market. You get local produce and goods. You also get to know the people and you might bump into someone you know. A pleasant experience overall. Have to check it out.

Full Five stars to our true local Artists & Farmers- Too bad there's so much funny business going on with bulk purchasers redistributing fruits and vegetables- We do love our true locals though! ????

I just love the Farmers Market!!!!

Great atmosphere

Lots of vendors! Everyone seems to pack up around 12, though. It says 7-1, but definitely go before noon or you won't get to see all the things for sale. I think some vendors are out of place however (there were restaurant stands there...). It's not a fair so I'm unsure why they are present at a farmer's market??

Always love going there in the fall.

Great selection of real farm vendors and prepared foods

This Market is always great to get fresh baked goods and Specialty dog treats.

Always enjoyable

Great, good vendors and my dog loves going.

My wife and I absolutely love going to this farmers' market! We always end up buying more produce than our fridge can handle, but we just cannot get enough of fresh local produce. If I could say 4 things about the farmers' market it would be that it is entertaining, environmentally friendly, part of the community and inviting! Definitely make sure you stop by to pick up some fresh produce.

Not a bad way to spend your morning. Plenty of fresh produce and vendors with delightful treats and food.

I go every Saturday to pickup a chicken and some eggs from Miller's Farm. They are the best. Not many vendors anymore though.

I visit this market almost every week. There are some awesome local farmers who I love to buy from but there are also people who sell stuff that they don't grow themselves so "buyer beware" ...

Loved it the fresh air kind people.

Oddly quiet busy. Social distancing not really followed.

One of the best farmers markets in the region. I love stopping in here any time I am in Peterborough on a Saturday morning.

Resold products you can get from Sobey’s.

Nice market. Great food, produce, hand made items, flowers and more

Huge...loved it

Lots of locally grown foods as well as meats and crafts

A lot of fresh food options. Also, great assortment of vendors. A weekend must visit tradition for locals. Cheapest produce in town!

Very busy and over priced produce. Parking is crazy busy. This is just a place to visit when there is nothing else to do.

Cute farmers market, but mostly resellers from big farms. Not a lot of local vendors left.

Always find great buys at the farmers market. Always get my perogi fix at taste of russia

I love this place and everything about it.

Not what it used to be. A few years ago it had lots of vendors. Now it's just one row and prices are very high. Really not practical, but its great quality of foods and your buying from the farm. Used to be a 5 star.

If you don't wait in line for Taste of Russia, why did you even come to the Market!!?? LOL

Great market with friendly vendors with a wide variety of products.

A nice selection of fresh produce from various vendors. Lots of fresh corn peaches apples local and across Ontario some other quite interesting vendors to. Lots of parking nearby

Lots of fresh produce from which to choose

Fresh and healthy food combined with handmade products and flowers. Very friendly people. Favourite way to spend Saturday morning in the Patch

All fresh and good price

Such a great community, love being a vendor!

Quite a few great vendors with lots of organic and local produce and food.

Saturday Market was still quite expensive. My kids with their $2 allowance couldn't afford anything so we left empty-handed. Typically I would go to The Taste of Russia for their perogies but the line was too long.

This farmers market is huge! Lots of vendors and even some organic farmers. Worth the drive to the patch!

Not very busy, a lot of the produce was not locally grown. In fact some of the tomatoes had the stickers on them like at the grocery store.

Nice place to go buy fresh fruit and vegetables, locally grown in the area.

Always a great time at this market! Lots of variety, prices are decent and the people are ridiculously nice. Plus the Taste of Russia is fantastic!

Great local artisans and produce.

Lovey market

No social distancing, many with out masks . Very disorganized

Simply the best! Must stop when I come into town every few months

A great local market with plenty of local produce I go often and think it's the best around

Some of the vendors are great. I love the selection. I love the atmosphere. I love the love music provided by the buskers. but I have been really disappointed by the number of vendors who lie about growing local produce. If you are a reseller fine...but the lying about it irks me.

Absolutely amazing. Get the squash it's delicious. The fresh fruits and vegetables are amazing

Nice selection of products. Great people!

By shopping at the farmers market I have a relationship with all of my food providers, from produce to eggs to meat.

Wonderful market!

Lots of edibles - both cooked and ready to be cooked. It would be nice if people would leave their leashed dogs at home or with someone whose not at the market. People tend to 'window shop' and if they turn around quickly, it doesn't take much for anyone to trip over a lead. There are a lot of seniors who frequent the market as well. Who is responsible if an unattentive dog owner has caused someone to fall????

lets pray ur home for good local farmers

Half the venders are gone

Great getting local food and products.

Small but fun experience. Lots of local foods. Great atmosphere.

Not what it used to be but still a favourite for fresh produce and specialty food items. Our local farmers and merchants are still working hard to provide their customers with top quality products ????????????

Good stuff love the pirogue

Tomatoes and yellow beans...mmmm.

Small market but the vendors were very socialable. Amazing brussell sprouts and dog friendly

Lots of vendors, fresh food and produce, fun pair of musical buskers at entrance playing some holiday tunes on banjo and accordion.

Aye

This is a must go every weekend in PeterPatch

We love the market on Saturday morning! ALL YEAR LONG! ❤

Friendly and helpful vendors and great prices.

Farmer's Markets are for good food and NOT for politics. Work to build something, not tear it down.

Best spot in Peterborough to support our local farmers. Eat Healthy!

Best fresh local produce

I go every Thursday and see Jess@ jesseskitchen, Lakefield market, all local products,. Jess makes the best samosas, curry chicken, beef, pork,. Its all delicious!

It's great...got my peaches and pears...onion's and all the ingredients to make chilly sauce

Found some good deals on vegetables and eggs. Not a real lot of vendors considering the time of year. The weather was lousy which could be the reason.

Lots of vendors

Avoid resellers!

Fresh always great coffee to

Nice to have food made from restaurants and farmers but really pricey for what you get

It was kinda sad that they have split it up between 3 different spots. I won't go around to them all, I only visit one. I think it should be my choice who I buy from, I don't like someone dictating that I only buy local. I certainly do that …

A busy market. Main downside is there's no way to tell the difference between a local farmer and someone who buys from a warehouse and resells. We moved back from Ottawa four years ago, where the markets have clear signs indicating the type of seller. This Peterborough farmers market should catch up with the times. Some of the vendors who got expelled were long time vendors, all were local growers who I often bought food from. Until this market gets their act together I'll be shopping at the Wednesday market.

Great selection of vendors.

Great farmers market. Friendly people!

Very good COVID precautions & people observing them. Vendors offer great local produce & crafts.

There are so many of our favourites there, great bread, fruits and vegetables, eggs, baked goods, mushrooms, etc. Come on out and take a stroll and see what the vendors have to offer!! ????☕????????????????????????????????????????

Good market. Lots of vendors and fresh produce

Great

Wildflower bakery sells one of the best seed and but breads that I've had. It can easily be eaten without butter that's how good it is. Their croissants are buttery smooth and the peaches and cream Danish is a tasty meal in itself. His bread is also available, off market days, at the Food Shop on Water St.

It was fun and the prices are not bad compared to Toronto's farmers' market. Perogies arw amazing from the "Taste of Russia". Also grabbed some grandma tarts, veggies and apples. Highly recommended.

The market isn't bad but all the drama the last few years resulted in losing some of the best vendors. Why can't everyone just get along?

Great little market

Awesome market!!!

Dads favorite place to go sat morning!

(Translated) Many traders in the region. A lot of choices. (Original) Nombreux commerçants de la région. Beaucoup de choix.

Farm fresh food

Smaller than normal but vendors all had high quality items. Probably best two markets now so it's less congested in the area

Crowds are way smaller these days.

So happy to be at a outside event bought wonderful gluten free bake goods and the best carrot cake I've ever had and maple syrup honey garlic and so much more looking forward to a great farmers market for rest of year

Great market!

Sure went down hill. Not much locally grown food left. Not at all worth going

Good overall but smaller than we expected

LOTS of vendors. Lots of quality goods.

Excellent. Great local produce and handmade articles. Friendly vendors. My favourite is the peach perogies from the Taste of Russia!

Over priced

All good

Great booths but a little pricey.

Everything we needed for our fall canning weekend.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! I get the opportunity to visit here with my mother in law every time I visit her!!! …

Good quality stuff at awesome prices

Wonderful vendors clean .great location

Ok but not special. The Russian food we got was Great. Going back tomorrow for more.

Good for what was there, waiting for outside and more vendors

Great deals, awesome people with everything grown and baked on local farms

Great place to shopping for local goods

Great variety

Fun farmers market with variety of offerings! Try the fire-roasted bagels.

Love this lunch meat there

Had a great time here. Purchased some Indian food from a vendor. Recommend visiting the farmers market.

Support your local farmers

Great local market with a chance to support small businesses.

Apart of the Market which operates downtown. I have met some of the vendors who usually participate at both and they are great people!

A huge place ,has about everything

Local meat and produce in a community setting

Anything you want or need with some great fiddling

Apparently a lot of reselling of produce goes on at Ontario farmers markets. Watch the CBC Marketplace episode Farmers Market Lies Exposed. Some vendors claim they grew the produce themselves when they simply purchased from a wholesaler. If the fruit/veg is out of season, be suspicious. Also, look under the table to see if the names on the boxes are the same as the name of the vendor.

The original farmer market

Always a great place to buy local food and produce and handmade goods

Huge variety of local produce and crafts

Love this place. Oldest farmers market in Ontario and one of the largest

Since there are 2 sides to the farmer's market issues, you can't believe all that's been reported. I will continue to patronize this fantastic market that has been a victim of jealous farmer's greed. The fruit from Vineland Growers in …

Was busy but lots of fresh vegetables and fruits

Search up "Farmers market lies exposed: hidden camera investigation (Marketplace)" on Youtube. CBC found that most of the vendors re-sell the same stuff you find at grocery stores at MARKED UP prices and lie to you to tell them they are "local." Even the director of the marketplace doesn't give af. CBC compares it to other places that have strict rules of actually being from a farm. Re-selling wholesale is fine as long as you're honest about it, but they use the word "farmer's market" to make a dollar off of you. If you are okay with over-priced mass produce from liars - enjoy!

Small market

Nice and clean booths and people were great. Lots of good food to try

Wonderful people with great organic foods

Great market

One of the best farmers markets in Ontario!

So much selection!

Great prices. I love all the fresh produce. Vendors are very friendly.

Not as good as it used to be. Likely because of COVID

Lots of vendors, social distancing in place. So much fresh produce! I bought lots of garlic from different vendors, & a few other items from other vendors. I am going back!

Good variety of products

Very basic. Expected more from the oldest farmers market in Ontario.

Great vendor and a home town atmosphere. Go every week to get locally grown food.

Awesome, found all the fresh produce I wanted. Vendors very friendly, grounds clean, was able to determine which vendors grew their own product vs selling it producing from other Ontario growers.

So much selection and vendors are super friendly! Definitely a must stop to make

We we there for the fair

Not good. Used it years ago. Previous owner. Great service and spotless then. Not so much now. I was not happy with the end results. Parts not touched at all. Some pics attached. Called to let them know. Was told to bring it back and …

Wish there was more

The board at the Peterborough Farmers Market should be ashamed of themselves for not standing up against fraudulent farmers selling items that they claimed to grow when that is not the truth, and then kicking out farmers who tried to stand up against this disgusting act. Shame on all involved. I will never shop there again!????

So sad to see what has happened to this market. I use to love coming here, now its a disappointment

Great local sourced products!

Fun local market.

Needs more vendors.

First time lots of great stuff

Great atmosphere! Beautiful veggies

The Farmers market is an excellent place to buy produce, and generally the prices can be better than grocery stores depending on what is in season. This plus the added bonus that you are supporting local growers make the market my weekly stop for fruits, vegetables, coffee and more. Be wary of the stands that are reselling produce from wholesalers though. I recommend talking to the owner of the stand about whether or not they grow their produce, but also look for boxes in the back of stands that look like they belong to grocery stores.

Typical farmers market from a produce standpoint but the small fringe booths are the best thing. I really miss the fresh crepes, but the bagels baked on site are amazing. Get your order in early, then spend some time looking around.

Not bad. Late in season. Will certainly go back

Great market

Always something to enjoy whether it be the entertainers you hear as you make your way through the marketplace or the enticing scents of the food the vendors are preparing or the rows of luscious fruits and vegetables the farmers have displayed. A great way to spend a Saturday with family and friends while supporting your community.
