We always try to stop here when going through Peterborough. We can usually get a black forest ham for half the price in our regular grocery stores. Also, I like the music the store plays. Today, for example, I heard the Four Seasons "Rag Doll".

Not about quality of products in the store. This is about the lack of procedures and safety of workers and customers during pandemic. Parking lot full , even back portion no lines outside meaning all people in store or garden centre. That store is so small ! We left and won't be returning. This place is doing well despite the pandemic and is still able to offer good deals on a variety of items. Has an expansive garden center which is usually quite busy on the weekends. A suggestion to go during dinner time or 30 min before closing is a good one as parking is limited and it can get a little jammed up. A great place to find value!

Well known around Peterborough - and other reviewers have commented - for their excellent prices on meat, including deli meats which can be 1/2 the price or less of the major local competition. A very good selection of a variety of products - from produce, to meat, bread, dairy, snacks and staples. However, on products that are wildly marked down - and even on a few others - check the best before dates. While I understand and appreciate that Canadian "best before" dates are controversial - because most of the time the product is still perfectly fine, and the dates contribute to a lot of needless waste - on some occasions the date has been enough more than I am comfortable with, particularly if it is a product that I would not use frequently; in most cases, though, some of the seriously marked down items that are best before last week, for example, are a fantastic buy for someone who is going to use up the product quickly. Some of the staff could do with instruction and training on customer service and general friendliness and pleasantness. This, however, has to come from the top down and the most of the managers are the worst offenders as far as unpleasantness, surliness and unhelpfulness. So, unfortunately, in the case of general staff who seem to have taken a lesson from management, it isn't very likely they will change until the management changes. The deli staff and deli manager have always been very friendly, and I always make a point to stop and say hello to them even if I'm not buying anything at the deli on that trip. The owner should consider promoting the deli manager to general manager.

This is a fun little place to shop. You walk into the store and it feels like a walk back in time. Even the check-outs sound 80ish The steaks are so thick and delicious, they make your mouth water just looking at them in the cooler, reasonable in price too. The only thing I wish that they would get is more parking space, you have to fight for that spot every time.

Best personal service that I have ever gotten from any store. I mentioned to Dave (who could be the manager) that I only come to Peterborough on Sundays and that he is always out of everything bagels on Sundays. Well this Sunday while shopping there he retrieved 3 bags of bagels that he saved for me in the office. I was blown away. Thank you!! Also this store has the best prices on meat. Today T bones were only $9.99 a pound. Fabulous!

I purchased 2 purple leaf sand cherry bushes in June 2019 and planted them side by side (same sun, water, etc. ) One is thriving wonderfully but the other is dead. Farm boy will not replace or refund the cost of the dead one. The young woman in charge of the plants told me that Farm Boy does not guaranty any plant material. So, DONT BIY ANY PLANTS OR BUSHES FROM Peterborough FARMBOY!

Quality is normally good prices are fair, my only and biggest issue is the tiny parking lot not enough room people flying in and out not paying attention it honestly feels like a battle each time I go to get a spot and not get myself hit by the tons of people not paying attention, it needs to be set up better and there are plenty of things that can be done to help this issue would be a 5 star review if parking and parking lot safety were not this horrible.

My review is about the garden section. They have the best selection of veggie & flower seeds and plants in the area. A few days ago I called to ask about a specific seed. Dale , to my surprise actually checked out the seed rack but they didn't have it. This morning he called to tell me he had a pack of the seeds in his office for me. I couldn't believe he went to that extent to help a customer. Thank you Dale!

Great prices on meat! Most of the good deals they have on meat are also great cuts too! You do have to watch what your picking out though as from package to package the quality of the cut can change greatly but pay attention to what your putting in your cart! The store could use a face lift and be cleaned up a little. But all in all great deals!

Farmboy Market Peterborough has lots of plants, annuals and perennials, along with food in a sparate side of the building, but the small, awkward, and most times congested parking lot area disinclines me to even want to visit Farmboy; in other words the hassle of parking is not worth the visit for me. I love farmboy market. I won't buy meat anywhere else. My mom and friends live in Cobourg and Porthope. When my mom visits she gets my aunt to take her to farmboy. My friends come to ship at farmboy also. A prime rib roast 20 bucks. It's huge. Steaks too. They make homemade sausages. I won't make a lasagna without them. Delicious
