This walmart as his high and lots of lows. Had twice a issue with discrimination and all that because a employee told there was a guarantee on the product when in fact there wasn't , so bought it for nothing. Another fact food wise, found three times rotten meat underneath counters. But has good quality fruits and cheap clothes for underneath budget or low incom. The bathroom are not very clean unfortunately.

I loathe self checkout and am a cash only customer, one or two live cashiers...gimme a break! Very poor management. Carts of new stock to be put away for DAYS on end, repeatadly out of stock for 5-6 WEEKS at a time on items I shop for. The theft losses in cosmetics are likely huge since there is nobody working the department....ever. I go elsewhere now whenever possible.

Customer service for online / pick up orders is terrible. I placed my first ever Walmart order, used the $20 off coupon code for 1st timers. It didn't get discounted off my order, I contacted them via chat, she was rude, kept saying it wasn't applied. I asked if I should cancel it and redo it, she said it's for 1st time customers only. Refused to help, she said someone would be in touch within 24 hours. They called me at 8:30pm 2 days later. I missed the call. But they left a message saying I would need to supply them a screenshot of the coupon applied. Who takes a screenshot of that? I never thought Wal-mart would be so shady and not honor that offer. And very rude to boot. I won't return.

This is a great store to go shopping at because it has everything and its all at a reasonable price. The tills get backed up alot though. I know quite a few people who worked there and they liked it. The only downside is how many people are outside smoking around the doors and going near the shopping cart areas you get asked for money to buy smokes from bums.

Far rather drive the half hour to Simcoe than half hour to Hamilton. Like a typical Walmart, it is difficult to find floor staff to assist when needed. Store is clean though and well stocked. Nice that it is a SuperCentre and can pick up groceries.

While I'm not really a supporter of big greedy corporations, I have to admit, within the past year, my heart is filled with gratitude on so many levels with this 'Big Corp'. I even shared with a colleague how positve and cheery my experience was there....the friendliness and kindness that left me with an all over good feeling...she immediately thought I meant the patrons, as they typically are your warm friendly down to earth community members, and while I've never had a negative experience with fellow customers, I truly was referring to the staff. I said "for a large Corp as Walmart, I was so impressed with how friendly and courteous staff were...and the cultural and gender diversity enhanced a completely welcoming atmosphere". I look forward to picking up items I can only get here. It's nice when Big Corp and small businesses are an intricate valuable part of our communities.

Electronics area is closed, still able to sell some items but they have to bring them to you leading to more contact than necessary as well as limiting customers from seeing pricing options between different selections. Printer ink is apparently non essential, however they have no problem selling printer paper. At self checkouts they have someone once again invading your personal space to rummage through your bags to make sure you are not buying anything "non essential". Had more contact with staff in the time it took to pick up a phone charge cable today than i have on full on shopping trips due to sheer stupidity.

Sketchy Walmart greeter by the name of Terry. He will approach you aggressively if your cases of coca-cola are not in bags and he will demand to see the receipt even though he can see that you were right by the express check out lane. Once you show him the receipt he doesn't even apologize for his bizarre reason, and then he will try to cover his own name tag. I asked him how many people put their cases of soda in a bag and he couldn't answer, I then asked him why he was hiding his name tag and he still couldn't answer until I told him I was going to speak to his manager. I informed head office about him, but I haven't heard back. What a strange policy, and bizarre greeter.

I usually walk into Walmart expecting bad service and almost never surprise. I was in for a treat when i went there looking to acquire a blow up mattress. Asked a sales woman where i could find one. (Usually i get a "somewhere on that side of the store") but the lady took me right to them, asked in detail what kind i wanted and what she recommends to be the best. I was very impressed with the service. If they hire more people like her, walmart would have a better reputation. Otherwise, keep it up.

It is good place to get some deals and get shopping done fast and at the time i am posting this they are adding more treadmill checkouts to help with all those people who come and are bulk shoppers. hopefully they have people on them and dont let them sit empty or that wont do much good. There is also one of those picture places in this location so if you need a passport photo or hunting license or even just a good old family picture they can handle that. They also have a McDonald's in this location to so if you are ever hungry or just want a snack before you go shopping so dont over buy on junk and other stuff they can do that. The only real problem i have is the parking lot there has at least been twelve or more times when i have been harrassed for money or for someone to put my cart away and the infamous can i have a smoke it is even worse if you do smoke because those things aren't cheap.

This is the smallest Walmart In all of B.C, if not Canada. This is a fact. Almost every photo taken and shown above are from other Walmart Supercenters. Lower your expectations when entering the Powell River location. The selection is much less. This store sells food, but don't expect to do your grocery shopping here. It only has a few essentials. It's not an actual grocery store. Expect everything to be smaller here. This is not a large location. Please report any and all photos above as incorrect if they do not represent the "Powell River Location". There are many photos that have been posted from other walmarts and are incredibly inaccurate. For those having trouble accessing the store, you must enter from Ontario Avenue and go down a little incline to the main entrance. During open hours of the mall you can also access it from within the mall.

I used to like Walmart as a place to shop. They were good to their customers. No longer. (I have since learned that they were never good to their employees nor their suppliers.) Customers are being pushed to self check out. There aren't enough cashiers, even though this is a phenomenally wealthy and profitable company. If I wanted to check-out my own shipping cart, I'd shop at amazon.ca. Walmart is my store of last resort. My first choice is to buy from small local businesses.

It is really a good store to buy grocery and other stuffs. But only problem is that it has only one halal section in the entire store and sometimes it goes out of stock as well. If you have multiple shopping needs great to go. Toy department is a bit on the small size but not bad. Tip if you are buying a big toy item check online first as I once found it cheaper online than what was in the store and they price matched the item.

Not a constant selection. Items removed and replaced with Great Value, (Walmart brand). Perhaps people prefer what they usually purchase, NOT, the Walmart brand. I like Quick chocolate mix. The Great Value brand of chocolate syrup sucks so I don't mind paying a little more for a better product. These replacements are happening quite a lot now.

Dont expect to find anyone to help you at Walmart unless you are prepared to spend several minutes tracking someone down...then watch out for their lousy attitude! The only reason we shop here is because prices are low and they have a decent selection of merchandise. Also ...the in store Macdonalds was recently remodeled and although it looks nice their muffins are still stale and their servers not overly friendly. Much fresher baked goods at other Macdonalds in Sarnia.

There was an item marked wrongly on the shelf for less than half of what it came up as when scanned. There were multiple items there in the place so obviously it was tagged wrong I doubt that someone shopping would take the time to place all of the items there as stated by one of the mangers. The description of the item was also the same. After the regular managers not honoring the price which should be honored by the Ontario scanning code of practice, they had informed me that Wal-Mart only honors items based solely on the UPC number which is not correct and does not say anywhere on the website for Ontario scanning code of practice. I patiently waited for my girlfriend to get back with the full store manager. Which she told us we were correct and gave us the item for the marked price. I felt embarrassed and I already have social anxiety on top of that. The managers kept making it a larger scene than what was needed. Wal-Mart is a multibillion dollar company and they should honor the scanning code of practice. After waiting for all of this, I then had to wait another 30 minutes standing holding all of our items in bags which were quite heavy for a manager to come back to approve the price override. This is ridiculous. I doubt I will be returning unless in dire need. Attached below is a photo of my hand after waiting for so long holding the heavy bags.

Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

Layouts ok--- limited on beauty supplies/accessories and the self check out is very intrusive. Pretty much out right accuses you of stealing if you put the item you scanned in the bag before it registers..... Then you got to pull it back out---- then when you're done it asks (loudly) to be sure you haven't placed items in without scanning them and to not forget to check the cart for items..... While it films your face and places a screen viewing you're face a foot from your face. Didn't love it. Certainly didn't get through faster. Maybe on rushes and you have a few items it's worth it but if there's a lane open I'll take it from now on.

I give this Walmart three stars solely because of the lack of entrances and exits into the parking lot. One entrance/exit being shared by two big box stores, Tim Hortons, Boston pizza and several other retailers is nowhere near enough. There is always a line of cars waiting to come and go from this parking lot. After a local man was hit by a car last year they announced that a second entrance was coming sometime in 2018.

My experiences with Walmart in NewLiskeard have been 95% of the time good ones. Sometimes the shelves are lacking items, they seem to have problems keeping up with the demands. I find the cashiers work hard and are friendly and kind. Never forget everyone, yes everyone has a bad day once in a while. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars are the self check out machines. I will never use them and if Walmart goes strictly to those machines, I will not use them. Walmart has already lost my on line shopping which was a twice a month, sometimes more order. They changed the delivery rules again a few months back and that was it for me. The reason I liked this shopping experience was because they deliver to the door. I’m a senior without a vehicle and that service was important to me. So I went to Amazon who has as many choices. Sometimes i pay an extra .50 cents but its worth it, AND amazon ships in good sturdy boxes, as well as all liquids are sealed in a plastic bag.

Upsetting that the inventory and employee were incorrect and I made the trip for nothing.

Every time I call this store it takes forever for someone to answer and to get to different departments. There is times when I can't get anyone on the phone. I find a lot of the staff there rude and unfriendly. If you can actually hunt a staff down to help you find something they seem pissed off that you even asked them. I have had staff direct me in the general direction but not lead me to what I need. The checkout is slow. They need more manpower behind the checkout counters. And they need a specific line for coupon enthusiast because they really slow down the lines. I do like to get my groceries here, the prices are good.

Typical wal mart. This location is organized and has almost all sale items in stock usually. Staff are friendly but don't go out of their way to give you a good experience. From my experience coming to this location for the last 6 yrs, it is actually easier to just pull up their website and figure it out yourself then ask someone in the store for help.

Got the email for pickup saying my order will be ready in a half hour. Showed up 15 minutes early and reported in. Been sitting here for an hour waiting for them to bring it out. I could have went inside and bought the items with less time. So far I've seen 7 cars get loaded and leave. New cars come in, get loaded and leave. They said they were running behind. Yeah. Way behind. So much for saving time by shopping online.

Overview: Out of all the Walmarts I’ve been to I wasn’t expecting Sarnia to be in the top 5 I’ve ever visited. No complaints here. Staff: Staff were helpful and nice. They were doing what they needed to and the ones who I’d expect to greet me or approach me did that well. Cleanliness/moderness: Exactly what I’d expect from a Walmart. Not a bad thing at all. This specific location is especially clean I found. Would I go back? If I needed to absolutely. They were great at this location!

I purchased a carseat but before leaving the store I opened it only to find it wasn't the one on display that I thought i was buying so I immediately brought it to customer service to return it so that I can go back for the one I wanted. I dont live in Prince George so the next day once I was back home, I checked my online banking to make sure the money was actually put back from the return I did, and I see that I was charged for the same carseat a second time instead of it being put back so I called and spoke with their manager whom was very understanding and kind. She apologized and said that I can get it returned to me whenever I am back in Pg again. So whenever you do a return through your debit or anything like that, make sure its actually put back into your account and not charged twice. Other than that, I'm usually satisfied with shopping there.

We come to this Wal-Mart frequently, its usually not a long wait at the check outs for us and we're usually able to find what we need, have noticed there is less then helpful staff in the electronics department, the one tall gentleman whos worked there for years gets upset anytime you ask him for help or information while you're trying to purchase expensive electronics, as if you're bothering him by making him do his job, other then him I haven't had issues with the staff in all the years I've gone.

I noticed one of your fire exits is blocked??? As well as an employee and I got to talking and you have no security and won’t hire anyone even though the job is posted? “Loss prevention” and security are not the same thing. Feel bad for the people running checkout as there are so few of them and the lines are a lot longer now that the self-serve has been put in. Noticing a hire turn-over rate in your employees as well? Maybe it’s because Managment is so cheap and doesn’t value their staff?

Not crazy about all the self checkouts.... especially when you need help and u push the button waited 10min before help arrived as they have one person looking after 13 checkout machines. It's not like you get a choice as they had no staff on the other checkouts...so you are forced to use these self checkouts. I guess cut backs are coming!!

My experiences there were mainly positive. My only negative experience was this woman at the customer service counter. I had done all my Christmas shopping 2 days before Christmas, and had this cart piled high with toys, and had been there 3 hours. For some reason beyond my control my debit card was declined and the cashier(who was very understanding) brought me to the service desk and we asked if I could leave my cart there and run home and get my husbands card. The woman at the counter was very rude and said “half an hour! You have half an hour to get back here, or all this goes back on the shelves! Do you understand?!!” I was almost 9 months pregnant and huge and exhausted and was close to tears. I guess I took too long to start hauling my pregnant butt away and she says”GO!”. I lived on the opposite side of town and had to really boot it home to get back on time. My husband had to go pay because I was too upset and tired. I wish I had complained about her! But I guess that was like, over 7 years ago now, so hopefully she’s history!
